Latest version of Firefox (4.0) no longer displays images on over-blog sites; previous version worked fine.

Prior to the update, the images displayed fine. They also display on IE.

See:
* http://kb.mozillazine.org/Images_or_animations_do_not_load
* Check the permissions for the domain in the current tab in Tools > Page Info > Permissions
* Check that images are enabled: Tools > Options > Content: [X] Load images automatically
* Check the exceptions in Tools > Options > Content: Load Images > Exceptions
* Check the "Tools > Page Info > Media" tab for blocked images (scroll through all the images)
There are also extensions (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) that can block images.

• My computer screen tells me that I am using an old version of Firefox which Gmail no longer supports so I click upgrade to newer version, download 6.0.2.exe but then the same warning pops up on my scree.

see my question

About:config can change pretty much anything about firefox. Most everything you do in about:config won't do any harm, but Firefox has to display the warning for political/legal reasons. I change settings in about:config all the time, and I haven't lost anything yet.
Once you accept the message, on the top you will see a "filter" box. Type, or paste "general.useragent" into that box. If anything there is bold, then your useragent is tricking Gmail. Right click on each bold entry and click "Reset" from the drop-down menu. You can close about:config and restart firefox.
If that doesn't work, there's a good chance you are still running an old version of firefox. This article on Updating Firefox should help you get to the new version.

• I upgraded to 6.02 and still get this message from Gmail: "You are using an old version of Firefox which Gmail no longer supports. Some features may not work correctly. Upgrade to new version."

When I opened Gmail in my Firefox browser, I got a message I've never seen, before: "You are using an old version of Firefox which Gmail no longer supports. Some features may not work correctly. Upgrade to new version." I clicked on upgrade to a new version and was taken to the Mozilla site, where I downloaded the latest version of Firefox... then, when I restarted my computer, Gmail still gives me the same message!! What's going on?

Firefox 4 and later require at least OS X 10.5 and a Mac with an Intel processor.

• Immediately after updating Acrobat Pro XI to the latest version, the software no longer displays imags in pdf docs.

Immediately after updating Acrobat Pro XI to the latest version, the software no longer displays images in pdf docs.  All the boxes where images are supposed to be are solid grey.  Old documents that worked are no longer displayed correctly and new documents I make do not display images.  All grey boxes.  Worked fine before the update.  Suggestions?

Hi precious_star,
Could you please let me know what version of OS are you using.
Open Acrobat and go to "Edit > Preferences > Page Display" and check whether 'Show large images' option is checked.
Is this issue specific for one PDF?
If possible, please share the file with me via email so that I can also check at my end.
I have sent you a message with my contact id details.
Hope to get your response.
Regards,
Anubha

• I have firefox 7 and still get warnings "You are using an old version of Firefox which Gmail no longer supports or Google Plus incompatible. How can I fix?

When I tried to join Google Plus I get the message Browser no longer supported. First Happened when using firefox 6.0.2 and still happens now with FF 7.
Also Gmail shows "You are using an old version of Firefox which Gmail no longer supports. Some features may not work correctly"
and at the bottom of this page the "educated guess" about my browser shows 3.0.15

Your about:config has been modified with the lines
general.useragent.extra.microsoftdotnet
( .NET CLR 3.5.30729)
general.useragent.override
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.0.15; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; ffco7) Gecko/2009101601 Firefox/3.0.15 …
That is why Google is reporting old version.
You need to ether find out why or create a new profiles and see if this line is gone. Profiles
There is some verbose about MS, but I don't know of any MS add-on that would do this.

I opened iCal back up, all the dates were blank, so i started to type events into a date.
As soon as I started to double click a date to type an event, magically all the events in all the months reappeared.
I'm still puzzled why it acted this way and if I did delete something that caused it to act this way.

• Since loading the latest version of firefox i can no longer print. instead a message comes up "can not load library 'DLBAPRP.DLL' using defaults, error 126. what happened?

error 126 can not load library "DLBAPRP.DLL" using defaults. this message appears when we try to print from our web bookmarks or any acrobat or pdf files

That error seems to be new with Firefox 4 - never heard of it with earlier versions of Firefox, but it goes back many years in various Windows programs.
See this search.

• After downloading the latest version of Firefox I am unable to display more than one website at a time in the tool bar at the top of my screen.

Before I upgrades to your latest version I was able to display many websites at the same time in the tool bar at the top of my screen. Now I can only display one at a time and it is extremely annoying.

Hello,
Certain Firefox problems can be solved by performing a Clean reinstall. This means you remove Firefox program files and then reinstall Firefox. Please follow these steps:
Note: You might want to print these steps or view them in another browser.
#Download the latest Desktop version of Firefox from http://www.mozilla.org and save the setup file to your computer.
#After the download finishes, close all Firefox windows (click Exit from the Firefox or File menu).
#Delete the Firefox installation folder, which is located in one of these locations, by default:
#*Windows:
#**C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
#**C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox
#*Mac: Delete Firefox from the Applications folder.
#*Linux: If you installed Firefox with the distro-based package manager, you should use the same way to uninstall it - see Installing Firefox on Linux. If you downloaded and installed the binary package from the Firefox download page, simply remove the folder firefox in your home directory.
#Now, go ahead and reinstall Firefox:
##Double-click the downloaded installation file and go through the steps of the installation wizard.
##Once the wizard is finished, choose to directly open Firefox after clicking the Finish button.
More information about reinstalling Firefox can be found here.
<b>WARNING:</b> Do not run Firefox's uninstaller or use a third party remover as part of this process, because that could permanently delete your Firefox data, including but not limited to, extensions, cache, cookies, bookmarks, personal settings and saved passwords. <u>These cannot be recovered unless they have been backed up to an external device!</u>
Please report back to see if this helped you!
Thank you.

• With the newest version of Firefox, I can no longer use the Google toolbar! Also, some of my Webroot protection had to be inactivated. When will these features be able to be used with Firefox again?

With the new version of Firefox, the Google toolbar and something with my Webroot protection had to be inactivated to install. I use many of the features on the Google toolbar daily, and miss not being able to use it. When I try to reinstall, the message is that it is incompatible with Firefox 5.0. And I am not sure which features of my Webroot protection had to be deactivated for Firefox to install and run, but I want to retain my firewall and virus protection. And I MUCH prefer to use Firefox! So - I know you are always developing and improving. When will these become compatible again with Firefox.

The Google Toolbar is from Google and support for it can only come from Google, and Google has eliminated it from Firefox, and it never was in Google. Even Google has indicated that the features are available in Firefox through other extensions. But the features are really available in Firefox even without extensions from what I've seen because Firefox has very powerful bookmarks and knowing how to use them with JavaScript, substitution, and keyword shortcuts is a key to using Firefox.
The Google Toolbar is no longer supported by Google in Firefox 5 and up, you may be able to get what you want from it for a limited time, the directions to install the Google Toolbar were posted before Google actually announced dropping support.
*Enable Google Toolbar in Firefox 5<br>http://googlesystem.blogspot.com/2011/06/enable-google-toolbar-in-firefox-5.html
*the-edmeister posted a brief evaluation of the situation<br>https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/questions/841736
In any case you can find several alternative solutions, and you can start working on them now, see

After getting a prompt on screen stating there was a new version of firefox available I clicked and downloaded.
