Latest version of iTunes, but just purchased song does not play!
Hi All,
All other songs I have purchased in the last few weeks from iTunes play fine, however the song I have just bought won't. I have all the latest drivers, I have checked for Updates in iTunes but there are none...
Personally, I am wondering whether the file corrupted when I downloaded it, in which case I guess my money has just gone down the drain and I have to cough up again?
Thanks in advance,
Tom

I bought and downloaded a song, and the whole song does not play. Why is this, and can I get the whole song?
Depending upon what country that you are in have you tried deleting and redownloading it via the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes ? If you aren't in a country where you can re-download music or if it re-downloads in the state then try the 'report a problem' link from your purchase history : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via Store > View My Account and you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it ; click on that and you should see a list of your purchases ; find that song and use the 'Report a Problem' link.

I recently downloaded the latest version of Itunes. As soon as that was finalized, my Ipod stopped showing up on the screen when I was in Itunes and I can't sync new songs and audiobooks to it. How do I get my Ipod to work again? It charges up and plays just fine, it will not sync or update with Itunes. There is nothing showing on Itunes that I can manually sync it, either. That option can't be clicked on. I have no other devices other than the Ipod that syncs with Itunes now, I used to have an Iphone, but I don't anymore

HELP!!!! Ipod nano synced with itunes but all purchased music do not play
HELP, PLEASE HELP!!!
I have two iPod nano's and both have the same issue. I can sync all of my music, single song whatever I like without any problems, however any music which I have purchased from Itures just skips on the nano when played back?
I have done all of the other hints listed, including De-authorizing the PC, reset nano, restored the nano, exported libary/imported libary... you name it... still the misic I've paid for does not work
I have just upgrade to iTunes 7, which all reports everything to be at the latest versions but still nothing works!
Maybe a Sony or other MP3 player would have been the beter optoin for my kids at christmas after all!
Please help!!The ipod is not a backup device. the music sync is one way - computer to ipod. The only exception is itunes purchases.
You need to copy everything from your old computer or your backup copy of your old computer to your new one. -
I just purchased a song, but its cutting the last 2.5 mins of the song off. I've ensured crossfade is turned off. I don't feel I got my money's worth and I am concerned, if I purchase the same song a second time, it may do the same thing. How can I fix or what department do I need to contact?
Delete and redownload them if doing so is free in your country.

Hi there bowlerinager75,

hey guys,i tried to install the latest version of itunes but when i try to open it,it just comes up windows error 2 apple application support was not found, can anyone help me out and tell me what i need to do pls ?
If you run into the "another installation" message even after the reboot of the PC (which is an excellent idea by HTP ProXy), reregistering your Windows Installer Service is worth a try.
First, launch a command prompt as an administrator. In your Start search, type cmd then right-click on the cmd that comes up and select "Run as administrator".
At the command prompt:
Type %windir%\system32\msiexec.exe /unregister and hit enter.
Type %windir%\syswow64\msiexec.exe /unregister and hit enter.
Type %windir%\system32\msiexec.exe /regserver and hit enter.
Type %windir%\syswow64\msiexec.exe /regserver and hit enter.
Restart the PC and try another reinstalll. -

iOS: Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows
- I would start with
Removing and Reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows XP
or
Removing and reinstalling iTunes and other software components for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8
However, after your remove the Apple software components also remove the iCloud Control Panel via Windows Programs and Featurs appin the Window Control Panel. Then reinstall all the Apple software components
- New cable and different USB port
- Run this and see if the results help with determine the cause

I just installed the latest version of iTunes, but when I went to open iTunes I got a message saying registry settings used to for importing and burning CDs and DVDs are missing and I should reinstall iTunes. Really?
I'd start with the following document, with one modification. At step 12 after typing GEARAspiWDM press the Enter/Return key once prior to clicking OK. (Pressing Return adds a carriage return in the field and is important.)

I have had to restore my pc to a place back in time when it worked correctly. This meant that iTunes was deleted. I have now downloaded the latest version of iTunes but I cant sync my iPad with it. I get the message that this iPad is synced with another iTunes Library and cant sync to this one. Thankfully all my music library is on iPad. I would be grateful for some help on this issue
Its solved I just restored it to that point

When I start iTunes I get the following message. "A required iTunes component is not installed. Please repair or reinstall iTunes (-42404)". I have installed the latest version of iTunes but still get this message. Can anyone help?
Hello mustangcim243,
iTunes has various components bundled with it that it requires for general usage. I advise that we completely remove iTunes and all of these related components, verify that they have been removed, then reinstall. To do so, please follow the steps in this article:
Removing and reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows Vista or Windows 7
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1923
Note: it is important to remove the 7 components in order. Uninstalling these components in a different order, or only uninstalling some of these components may have unintended affects.
If the above does not resolve your issue, I recommend we reset the SC Info folder:
iTunes repeatedly prompts to authorize computer to play iTunes Store purchases
http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1389
(See Step 4: Remove the SC Info folder)

iTunes says my iPod touch can't be used because I need the latest version of iTunes, but that's the one I have. What should I do?
Just what are you doing and and what is the exact wording of the message?
What version of iTunes is installed on the computer? The latest is 11/2 -
I tried to download the latest version of iTunes but failed half way through. It suggested that i reinstall we I tried. However, i now get this message which states "Application has failed to start because MSVCR80.dll was not found. Reinstalling the application may fix the problem"
I have tried this but with no success. I have therefore found that I cannot access my iTunes library at all now.
What should I do.Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components, or run the process multiple times; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.

I have a need to find a way to "trisect" my iTunes library to make way for movies, as I rip my DVD library. Ideally, I would like to get all movies on an external drive (3 TB) and leave music and podcasts on the internal drive where they now reside.
