Latest version of iTunes not recognizing my iPhone 4sprevious

I downloaded the latest version of iTunes on my laptop today and since then my iPhone 4s has not been recognized, but it was showing up just before I downloaded the new iTunes. What can I do to fix this? Or is there a way to download they previous iTunes?

Yes.  I just solved the problem on my PC.  Here goes...
Issue:  My Windows7 computer was producing the pop up box with the error text as you described.
The Problem: You have another application on your computer that uses the like named .DLL file... in this case a DLL supporting SQLite on your local PC.
Solution:
1.  You need to use the Windows File search feature to look for the name "SQLite".  This will quickly locate the offending DLL in the other application.
2. Decide which program you like the most, in my case "Mobile Me", and uninstall the offending application.
3.  Uninstall Mobile Me.
4.  Restart your PC.
5.  Reinstall Mobile Me.
6.  Mobile Me should sync at this point, but if not, restart the PC once again.
In my case, the offending program was my Aptana Studio development application.  I had recently the SQLite3 database to my Ruby On Rails configuration...
This is where the file was located:
C:\Users\<USERNAME>\Aptana Studio 2.0\plugins\com.aptana.radrails.sqlite3.win32_3.5.7.1278709071\vendor\SQLite3.d ll
I hope this helps,
Ron

Itunes not recognizing my iphones. I've tried updating the itunes, cable is fine for the iphone, and re-installed itunes. Plz help

Version 11.1.5.5 of iTunes was just released today. If you update to that, does that help with the recognition troubles?

  • Issue with the latest version of ITunes - Won't recognize Iphone 4

Even since I updated to the latest version of ITunes, whenever I plug my Iphone into the USB cable, my iphone goes a little nuts by constantly going into Charging Mode  and then out...over and over again.  When I launch ITunes, it doesn't even show my device in the list.  I don't think it's my phone because I can plug it into other computers and it is recognized just fine.  So I'm assuming it's a problem with ITunes, but I cannot find any errors anywhere.
    Anybody have any ideas?
    Thanks!

  • Why is my itunes not recognizing my iphone 4S?

When I plug in my iphone 4S to my Mac computer, iphoto is the only application that opens.  Why does itunes not open when I plug in my iphone?  Why does itunes not even recognize my iphone?

The problem is that your MacOS and iTunes versions do not support the iPhone 4. The minimum requirements are written on the box.
    Please check out this thread....https://discussions.apple.com/message/16126807#16126807
So first, just get the upgrade to at least 10.5.8.
I'd suggest that you go to 10.6 (Snow Leopard) in the Apple Store but be sure to check that you have the minimum hardware requirements on your Mac.
Then get the latest version of iTunes.

  • New computer itunes not recognizing my iphone

    Greetings,
I just bought a new Intel core i5 imac, and set up the new itunes to connect to my library which was located on an external drive. The transfer went smoothly and everything works fine except that the new itunes does not register the existence of my iphone when I connect it to the computer. For the moment I am unable to sync the phone. I looked in iTunes>Preferences>Devices and my phone is listed (5 times) in the Device Backup list. Any ideas how I can get iTunes to recognize my iphone?
    Thanks in advance,
    Peter

Solved it thru more google search. Just re-downloaded the latest version of itunes (no need to uninstall first). That did the trick.

  • I have a problem with the latest version of itunes not responding when i open it.

Every time i open itunes on my PC i cant do any thing and have to use task manager to close it as it keeps not responding

Thanks but I had already read this, and it was no help at all.  Under the Summary tab, "Options", there is no check-box to manually manage my stuff.  I suspect this is because it is a 2nd gen iPod, with ONLY manual management.  The only way to delete my stuff seems to be to reset the entire device.
I like to listen to podcasts.  What is particularly frustrating is that the 4th gen shuffle CANNOT play podcasts, but ONLY music, which I discovered after a lot of research and multiple visits to an Apple store.  So I have to resort to an older version of the shuffle to play podcasts  And now with the latest version of iTunes there seems to be no way to delete any podcasts on the older version.  Apple just makes it harder and harder for us podcast-lovers, driving us away from Apple -- driving me away from the entire brand and from ALL Apple devices, not just iPod.

  • ITunes not recognizing my iphone 4 and is stuck on connect to itunes screen.. Even apple store cannot fix it.. any help?

I tried Erasing all contents and settings.
And after that it asked to connect to itunes for restoring. BUt iTunes never recognized the iphone and i am stuck on this screen

Ignore sandeep.  Don't use DFU mode.  You need to use recovery mode.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808
Placing your device into recovery mode
Follow these steps to place your iOS device into recovery mode. If your iOS device is already in recovery mode, you can proceed immediately to step 6.
Disconnect the USB cable from the iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.If you cannot turn off the device using the slider, press and hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons at the same time. When the device turns off, release the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons.
While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the device. The device should turn on.
Note: If you see the screen pictured below, let the device charge for at least ten minutes to ensure that the battery has some charge, and then start with step 2 again.
Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen. When this screen appears you can release the Home button:
If necessary, open iTunes. You should see the following "recovery mode" alert:
Use iTunes to restore the device.

  • Latest iTunes not recognizing my iPhone

I just updated my iTunes to the latest version and now when I plug my iPhone in, it doesn't even detect it.  Anyone else having this problem?

After updating to iTunes 10.5.2 on ASus Windows 7 HP 64 bit laptop it stopped seeing my iPad 2 and iPhone 4 over wifi, but synced fine on USB. I stopped and started Apple devices in control panel/ services, rebooted and tried again. Then it saw my devices, but would not sync apps by wifi or USB. Gave message: cannot ascertain apps. After stopping and starting devices in services a couple of times, it seems to be syncing ok. I've only had this sort of problem since upgrading to v.10.5.2, so I imagine it is something to do with iTunes. It also seems to lock with a 2 headed arrow cursor from time to time. It also lost my cover art on a couple of albums I had imported myself. This was solved by re-importing albums.

  • ITunes not recognizing my Iphone 5.  Updated to the new OS X

I just recently updated my MacBook Pro to the latest OSX 10.9.2   and I just plugged in my Iphone to manage storage and ITunes is not seeing it at all.  I have the most current version of ITunes 11.1.5 and my IPhone software is current as well.  This is the first time I have ever had this issue so I am assuming it is an Apple software issue that needs a patch??  Can anyone help??

I had a similar problem and fixed it.
This is what I did. (Follow these steps):
    1. Make sure your phone is not connected/plugged to your computer then continue on step 2.
(For some reason, apparently iTunes also get installed to Iphone's which makes it sort of faulty.)
    2. By going to your computer's Control Panel - Uninstall iTunes. To completely uninstall iTunes you need to uninstall 5 programs in this very sequence. (You have to make sure you follow this in order.)
    iTunes
    Apple Software Update
    Apple Mobile Device Support
    Bonjour
    Apple Application Support
    3. Then simply re-install the latest iTunes again. Go to http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ , on the left side of that page you'll see a blue botton that say's "Download Now". Press that button and it should allow you to make sure that you've downloaded the latest iTunes.
    4. Once you've reinstalled it go ahead and start iTunes and connect/plug your Iphone to your computer. iTunes should now be able to recognise your Iphone.
    5. If it still does not work try unplugging your Iphone again, restart your computer and connect your Iphone once more. See it your computer recognises your device.
Steps 1-4 worked out real well for me so I hope it does for you too. If still a no no why not try and contact apple themselves they should be able to give help.
Got all this info with an Apple person. Cheers.
