1.What is the latest version of Developer 2000 reports that is out there?
2. Can that version be used with database version 7.3.3.4, application version 10.7 Smartclient and HP 10X.

Which version of reports can I run on the same server as an 8i database?
We build an application (NT) that used to use 7.3.4 and reports 2.5. Our Pro*C application could pick up report parameters and launch r25run.
With 8i Reports 6.0 is in a different Oracle Home.(orant vs. orant8i) Is my only solution to have to Pro*C change its home to the \orant directory at runtime to launch reports or is there a version that runs in \orant8i?

I installed the latest version of Firefox last night. It worked 3-4 times flawlessly. Now, it crashes at startup and gives me a box with crash detail report. How can I fix this?

I have a brand new HP dv8t laptop that is straight from the manufacturer 2 days ago.
Last night, I attempted to download and installed the latest version of Firefox. After installing, it worked great for an hour or so (3.4 different sessions).
Then, this morning when I came back to the computer, Firefox crashes at startup and gives me the option of finding a solution online or quitting the program.
How aggravating!
I have installed this same version on 2 other computers that I own, without any issue.
I have attempted to uninstall Firefox from the dv8 and reinstalling, to no avail.
I cannot find the crash report, but I do this see this message once the app crashes:

You might try using the add-on 'NoSquint' which allows numerous zoom options specific to each page you visit & keeps your settings - https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/nosquint/

In most cases you can simply "upgrade" (meaning downgrade) directly from the installation. It would be a good idea to save your passwords & bookmarks just to be on the safe side.

How is the best way to install the latest version of Crystal Reports 2008

I have been downloading for hours all the service packs, hot fixes, fix packs and chasing my tail for way too long on this.
I keep getting errors about a file being out of sequence.... I assume there is a very loooooong list of fixpacks that need to be applied!!!    This is such a nightmare.
Is there a simple way to just install the latest version of 2008 Crystal Reports?
If I have to follow a long sequence of updates, is it written down anywhere?
The reason for this in the firstplace is because I moved to Visual Studio 2010 with .Net 4.0 framework and now none of my crystal reports work.
I am using the full version of Crystal Reports 2008 installation, not the one built into Visual Studio

When I try installing SP2 it starts the update and just locks up... no errors... just sits there. I let it sit for about an hour.
Is it compatible with Windows 7 ?
When I tried installing a fixpack, I kept getting errors that a file was out of sequence.   I will try uninstalling all of Crystal and just reinstall in this order:
1. Crystal Reports 2008 from CD
2. Install Crystal Reports 2008 SP2
3. Install FixPack 2.6
This is what I tried the first time and got all the errors, but I will try it again...   is this correct?
(I don't need to install SP0 or SP1 or any other Fixpacks.... Correct?)

How to Broadcast BI Reports in the latest version of MS Excel

Dear Friends
I am broadcasting BI reports to our field team, and many of them are using mobile phones. But they are not able to view these reports in their mobile.
I am broadcasting it as Excel and it is going in the format .xls. We have other BI tools where they could open the reports which are in .xlsx.
That's why I doubt that our reports are not getting opened because we are sending in a older format of excel.
Please let me know if there is any option to send reports in the latest version of MS Excel (.xlsx)

I agree with Michael Devine . You have to setup Pre-calculation server to broadcast with .XLSX format.
Did you try with other output formats in broadcast definition? Also check your Users mobiles excel compatibility with .xls format?

Firefox is up to date, but multiple sites report it is not the latest version. What can I do about this?

There are multiple sites that I log into (Netflix, Amazon, Firefox Hello, etc.) that are reporting that I am running an old version of Firefox. I am running versions 36.0, which reports to be up to date. I'm at a loss.

Latest Version data to be displayed in the report

We are maintaining Version as a Char in the Cube. While displaying data in BEx report I need to display latest version data based on the 2 Info Objects. (These 2 Info Objects are keys..say Project, Its sequence Number).
EX: Proj     SQ Version
     123        1       v1
     123        1       v2
     131        1       v1
                 Here I need to display only 2 & 3rd records         123        1       v2 ,     131        1        v1.
PLease suggest me what is the best way to achieve this in BEx.

Directly reading data form infocube using SELECT statement will be a tedious task as fact table stores only DIM ID's so it's better if you use FM RSDRI_INFOPROV_READ to read data from infocube.
Execute this FM in SE37 first and check how it works and then accordingly you can write code in EXIT to read data from cube.

Get Crash Reporter EVERY time I try to open Firefox. Installed latest version and disabled or deleted all add-ons. Still not working.

Updated Firefox to latest version and disabled or deleted all add-ons. Still get Crash Reporter.
Firefox DOES open in Safe Mode.
Ran MalwareBytes, AVG and SuperAntiSpyware. No viruses.
Restored Firefox to its Default State.
Checked for missing files In windows using Windows System File Checker in Command Prompt. There are none.
I am running Windows 7 Ultimate on a Dell XPS 400.
Everything else on my system works fine except for Firefox.
KEEP GETTING CRASH REPORTER!

Why does my latest version of Firefox under Windows 8.1 always report problems with security certifactes - even on mozilla,com - when my latets version on Ubunt

On my desktop, I have been using Firefox V27 on Ubuntu 12.04 for some time. It uses secure sites - such as https://mozilla.org - and accepts the Security Certificates quite happily, so I am not even aware there is any issue.
My new laptop is Windows 8,1, and I have installed Firefox- the latest version.
Whenever Firefox visits a secure site, it ALWAYS says that there is a problem with the security certificate - even at mozilla.org - and warns me away. I have to complete a security exemption.
Why is this, and how can I fix it?

unfortunately the fiddler2 issuer in certificates might be a sign of unwanted software present on your pc that is intercepting secure network traffic. please go into the system control panel and uninstall programs like BrowserSafeguard, BrowserSafe, SafeGuard or other software that sounds suspicious and didn't get installed by you intentionally.

Got a pop-up to download latest version, but when I went to confirm, one of the choices for type of user "Business Developer" was misspelled- a sign of phishing

A .exe popped up to "update to latest version". I wanted to confirm this was from Mozilla so I went into contact, and planned on sending a message. Two things I noticed:
1) There was not a text box for me to write out a message with my inquiry.
2) There was a dropdown for me to select- if I was a User, Advertiser, Business Developer, etc.; however, the word "Business" was misspelled- a typical sign of phishing, and not something that I would think you would not have caught on your browser help tools.
Needless to say, I discontinued and closed the browser window. One way or another, I thought you would like to have this brought to your attention.

How do I get my Ipod to work again? It charges up and plays just fine, it will not sync or update with Itunes. There is nothing showing on Itunes that I can manually sync it, either. That option can't be clicked on. I have no other devices other than the Ipod that syncs with Itunes now, I used to have an Iphone, but I don't anymore
