Latest version of skype crashing while logging-in
Hi All,
I have been searching this community topics for the solution to the main issue of skype crashing after startup or aorund signing-in and have tried all proposed solutions like using latest version, reinstalling, directx update, removing folders from %appdata% path, installing a little older version like 6.16 etc. but nothing seems to work out. So, I am now posting this topic.
The details of system:
OS: WinXP SP3
currently installed skype version: 6.16
IE version: 8.x
The summary from the crash dialog is as follows:
AppName: skype.exe AppVer: 6.16.0.105 ModName: skype.exe
ModVer: 6.16.0.105 Offset: 00b93bce

Please, run the DirectX diagnostics tool (32-bit version).
Go to Windows Start and in the Run box type dxdiag.exe and press the OK button. This will start the DirectX diagnostics program. Run this diagnostics and save the results to a file. Please, attach this file to your post.
Be aware that you will have to zip this file before attaching it here.

The new version of skype crashes EVERY TIME I get ...
I was recently forced to upgrade to the latest version of Skype. I like the design. I don't mind the changes; but what I do mind is it being TOTALLY UNSTABLE.
Every time I sign into skype, it crashes. When it finally will let me start using it, whenever I get a new IM in a different window, it crashes.
I can't go back to the previous version either. Listen. If you're going to force me to use a new version, could you at least release a STABLE release?

I have an iPhone 3G and I had skype installed before it updated to v.4. Now, during a backup, iTunes tells me i can no longer run Skype on my iPhone because the latest version of Skype is not compatible. Is there any way I can install an older version?
How can I contact Viber support? When I go to their website there's no such thing as 'email us' or 'contact us'.
They may have a do-it-yourself troubleshoot system but that doesnt help my problem at all. -

That is a relatively old Windows software version. The current version is 6.9.0.106
TIME ZONE - US EASTERN. LOCATION - PHILADELPHIA, PA, USA.
I recommend that you always run the latest Skype version: Windows & Mac

Premiere cs6 crashing while logging
hey there guys,
has anyone had issues while premiere cs 6.0.2 crashing while logging.
i'll be labelling shots (description/scene/comment) and boom, premiere will crash.
one thing i'm noticing is that i'm hitting the tab button to switch columns faster and this is usually when it happens.... sometimes 30 minutes into logging, sometimes 5 minutes in.
i'm on a 15" MBP Retina 2.3ghz i7 with 16gb ram running 10.8.3 with GPU set to software only.
any advice? i'll provide a crash report the next time it crashes.

OK, in this case Premiere is attempting to draw a column view (apparently part of the XMP/metadadta view), and the function that handles the end of the drawing fails while using a std::map (that part isn't obvious, just learned from coding). Then there's a little extra cruft because Premiere doesn't crash immediately but tries to go to a signal handler then calls abort itself. This hides some of the nature of the original bug in the std::map call.
Offhand this looks like a real bug that the Premiere engineers will need to investigate, but it might be avoidable if you close the XMP/metadata view. If you're the only person seeing this crash, there could be some interaction between this view and other things happening on your system: possibly related to data in your document, your display layout, or corruption caused by outside code (such as a third party plugin or codec).

Downloading pictures with latest version of skype.
Hi everybody,
like many inhere i recently upgraded to the latest version from skype for windows.
Now i have a problem that the pics what are being send to me outomaticly are downloaded. The first time i did see a message i can change this option but when i look in my option and advanced option list i can nowhere fine this option.
I would like to changethat again and then hopefully i can also choose the file where they needed to be downloaded.
Does anybody have a solution for this?

Latest version of skype version works but VERY SLOW
I have a capable mid range gaming notebook that runs any and all sorts of applications with no lag. Until... I start up skype. When skype is running it freezes every 10 seconds and it makes my other programs slower. The other programs run well when skype is closed. So I assume the issue is with the latest version of skype. I used to have this problem with skype half a year ago so what i did back then was disable automatic updates then download an older version that worked. But now that skype wont accept the use of older versions I need another solution to fix the horrible lag.

Firefox crashes while logged into Lumosity
This what I related to Lumosity support:
I'm using Mozilla Firefox 22.0 (up to date) with Win7 and IE10 10.0.9200.16618 update version 10.0.6 is in the background (not using it for browsing, etc). I believe Java is involved in gaming, so here is that data: Java Deployment Toolkit 7.0.250.17 10.25.2.17 and Java TM Platform SE7 U25 10.25.2.17 Whether I access Lumosity by email link or directly by the URL, Mozilla is crashing repeatedly, going on days now. It tends to crash with Disillusion very frequently (in other words when I finally get access, it crashes repeatedly). It has crashed on Familiar Faces and Rising Word Bubbles . I wish I could give you a better list - but it seems to crash w/more demanding games. It crashes while loading the game. The progress bar gets one-quarter into the load before it goes down.
I have been sending crash reports to Mozilla. I have looked on line for some answers. Nothing found yet in the way of answers. I have seen that various people (general online chats/forums) are experiencing the crashes and obtaining no answers. If there is more info you need that would help analyze and fix this, please let me know.
I have gone through Mozilla's general help about crashes and have restarted Mozilla in safe mode (no add ons) and I have opted out of using hardware acceleration (permanently). I do not think it's crashed in the safe mode.
My husband uses Lumosity on his computer and his entire computer shuts down. He has the same systems I have only on a PC (mine is a laptop). His Java versions, (Toolkit) - 7.0.60.24 10.6.2.24 Java TM Platform SE7 U610.6.2.24.
I received response from Lumosity and understand that support believes this issue may be due to a compatibility issue with plugins on the new version of Firefox. I also understand that Lumosity depends on Adobe Flash Player, so after discussion w/Lumosity support, I updated my Adobe Flash Player to v. 11.8.800.94. BTW Lumosity support is able to recreate the events w/Firefox and to control them by starting Firefox in safe mode.
I have uninstalled Firefox, deleted the Mozilla folder from the program files as outlined in support info. I did notice that uninstalling Firefox did not uninstall Mozilla Maintenance Service v. 22 7-2-13 333 KB. There were several folders in the Mozilla folder when I deleted it, the Maintenance file being one of them I am sure, and it is now dated today's date, v. 22 at 219kb.
In the process of this, I had notice of Windows updates, so I rebooted the computer to let the updates install. I went back to Mozilla and logged on to Lumosity, opened the game "Disillusion" and it started up fast w/o crashing. However, the very next game I opened, Rising Word Bubbles, it crashed. Twice or so. I opened Mozilla in safe mode and it did not crash when I played one of the games.
I think I have listed everything that I've done. Sure could use some help to fix this. I've even backed up and defragged.
One last thing, I had installed "Memeo Premium Backup" and was having trouble with that program crashing, Windows indicating it would debug and advise (nothing received on that). I am wondering if those problems were also a part of this problem. I have since gone back to "Memeo Instant Backup" which works fine. FYI
Now, I see there is a button to push that will automatically do something. I think I'll copy my notes, just in case. Probably TMI for an auto response anyway.

I am now exporting via PP which always seems reliable but takes PP out of action for several hours while it exports, which is the main motivation to get it working properly with AME.

Latest version of Skype is unusable. Can't talk to...
So it automatically harassed me to download and install the latest version, which I did, and now I can't chat at all.
I use Skype at work but it freezes and hangs whenever I open a conversation window, and never unfreezes. No crash either, all I can do is end the process.
I've uninstalled it, restarted my computer, re-downloaded a fresh install and installed it anew but still the same problem.
I've tried launching it as an administrator, still the same.
I've tried using the horrible "single window" view of Skype, same deal.
I have always hated Skype, this is really not helping.
I am unable to find the download link for the previous version, I don't even know what number that was, if anyone could provide a download link for that I would be immensely grateful, right now I'm using the web version and it's... not great.
No crash, just freezes whenever I open a chat window so I can not do anything with this software.
I'm on Windows 8.1, using the desktop version not an "app".

Go to Windows Start and in the Run box type dxdiag.exe and press the OK button. This will start the DirectX diagnostics program. Run this diagnostics and save the results to a file. Please, attach this file to your post.

Cannot Install Latest Version of Skype - Presumabl...
I presently have version 6.18. When I try to install latest version I get a message "cannot open HKEY\LOCAL\MACHINE32\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\Feature Control\FEATURE_MAXCONNECTIONSPERSERVER".
When I check the registry I do not even have a MAX_CONNECTIONSPERSERVER key under Feature Control. I've tried adding it but do not apparently have the permission level.

Be aware that if you want to install the currently latest 6.22.81.104 version, then you should use SkypeSetup_6.22.81.104.msi file in order to extract Skype.exe and Login.cab files.

ISight is not working with latest version of Skype
I downloaed the most recent version of Skype but the iSight will not recognize the camera. Camera works in photobooth, iChat, Facetime, etc. Can't figure out what the problem is.

iSight is the camera. I expect you mean that Skype will not recognize the camera.
(1) Did you restart Mac and try again?
(2) Did you use Disk Utility to repair permissions before and after installing Skype?
(3) Because Skype is your only problem app, have you checked Skype support such as

Do NOT add any drivers. All needed iSight driver software is included in your OS X 10.6.8

(4) Your first download or install may have been faulty. If you have not already done so, try downloading the latest Skype version again and reinstalling? Remember to repair permissions before and after the reinstall.

Why is the latest version of iTunes crashing on Windows 8.1?
The latest version crashes when connecting to the iTunes store, is there a fix for this? I'm using Windows 8.1 on my PC.
You are not having my exact same problem, but try this:
1. Browse to "C:\Users\<YourUserName>\AppData\Roaming" in Windows Explorer.
2. Rename the "Apple Computer" folder to "Apple Computer-old".
3. Start iTunes
4. Close iTunes
5. Copy the file "iTunesPrefs.xml" from "C:\Users\<YourUserName>\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer-old\iTunes"
6. Paste the old "iTunesPrefs.xml" into the new "Apple Computer\iTunes" folder iTunes just created (not the one you renamed) under "C:\Users\<YourUserName>\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer-old\iTunes"
7. Overwrite the new iTunesPrefs.xml with your old copy of the file.
If you don't care about losing your iTunes preferences then you can just do step 2. You can always go back and grab things from the old folder later if you realize you wanted to have your EQ settings, individual track gains, etc... -
Installed latest version of Skype 4/3/15 and no lo...
I am running windows 7, Internet explorer 11. I was able to log into Skype yesterday - installed the latest update to Skype, and no longer able to log in. Get 'Skype can't connect'. I have removed the program, reinstalled, rebooted.... I am able to log into the website using my username and password, and my account on android still works.
I have this same problem. Logged on last night and then skype updated today and I could not log on...
