Latin America Unlimited Subscription

The Latin America Unlimited Subscription free trial says that is it only valid for land lines.  The phone I called is a Satellite phone, not really a landline, but the call went through.  I just want to make sure the phone number is included in the subscription before I make any more calls. I cancelled my subscription to the free trial, until I figure out the charges to this particular number.

furthermore rural areas in Colombia are not covered either

  • Unlimited latin america subscription doesn't work

    I've ordered an unlimited land lines and mobile subscription for latin america. I can see the subscription is active but whenever I call a number I Always get the message that I need additional Skype credit. I'm calling to Columbia and the subscription doesn't say it only supports certain cities so it should work. I'm using an iPhone 4 with the latest Skype app but if I try it from my windows desktop same result. What is going wrong here?

    I also faced the same dillema of not finding the 19.99 Unlimited Mexico landline calling. Fortunately by trial and error I  purchased the Unlimited Latin America subscription and was able to call a landline in Mexico in a non-major city and be covered under that subscription. By now you may have already found out but I will include this for others who may have the same doubt to know.

    Unfortunately, when I proceed to purchase, it sends me back to search for a country for rate plans. Can you try it and see if it does the same if you try to purchase the 19.99/month unlimited plan?
    It does show an Unlimited Latin America for 9.99/month, but would that include landlines in Mexico for any city?

    So, I want to know if with a Subscription to UNLIMITED LATIN AMERICA, that covers Mexico calls, I will be able to call another city besides, Monterrey, Guadalajara and Mexico City, I see a topic that says it but I can't reply it because it was closed... this said the user in these topic...

    Just chatted with customer service. The 19.99 unlimited landline subscription to Mexico is no longer available. The only unlimited is landlines and cell phones which is a lot more money. If you currently have the  landline only subscription, it will continue to renew monthly. If you cancel it you can not re-purchase. 
    I wanted to go to an annual subscription but can not switch. Thank goodness I checked before canceling my monthly subscription.

    I signed up for the Latin Unlimited subscription and I was chaged for 2 months in a row, without being able to make at least 1 call. It shows that I don't have credits to make calls? How do I get my money back? I've tried everything and the subscription does not work. I recently cancelled before being charged 1 more time. Skype now owns me money or credit.

    I checked your account and please be aware that our subscriptions automatically renew everytime they are about to expire. You have agreed to this contract when you first purchased your subscription. Also, your subscription will not show on your Skype Credit balance since subscriptions and Skype Credit are two different features. But you can see your subscription on your account pages. Furthermore it seems like the number you are trying to call is not covered by your subscription that is why you can't call.
    To view the countries included in your subscription, please follow the steps below:
    1. Sign in to your account:
    http://www.skype.com/go/myaccount
    2. On the left panel, click your subscription.
    3. Next to your subscription, click Settings. A summary of your subscription is displayed on the left. Click the destinations link to see what countries are covered.
    If you want to be refunded for the renewal of your subscription, you need to contact Skype Customer Service and they will check if they can grant your request. You can contact them by following the steps on the link below:

    Before an Online service can be offered the telco in the relevant country must make a series of #s available.

  • Latin America 1000 Minutes Expired Early

    A month ago. I bought a Latin America 1000 Minutes subscription... cost me 79 USD.
    Today is the last day of the subscription.
    I called someone at 18:00 today but at 21:00 I tried to call someone else
    and it didn't work, saying I had to pay with credit.
    But, I still have 300 minutes left on my subscription.
    It would seem an error that my subscription has expired early.
    What should I do?

    That's somewhat of a legal question which may not be able to be answered here by the uers/volunteers - I'd suggest you check with a local apple store.
    In the US, you can purchase it at any authorized reseller as long as you register it with the serial number of the computer within the first 364 days of ownership, but I do not know if a US product will work with one from another country.

  • Changing Audio Language in Netflix (Latin America)

    Hi all,
    I´m having issues with Netflix in Latin America from an Apple TV. Many movies have three languages (spanish, english and portuguese) and depending the availabitty it starts by default in spanish. I prefer english but i can´t find the way to change the audio language, I´ve found out how to change subtitules but I can´t find the way to change audio language.
    I alredy tried changing the defalut audio options on the Apple Tv general seetings but that haven´t changed a thing. It seems to be a limitation on iOS devices cause I´m also experiencing the same thing on my iPhone 4.

    Usaba Netflix en mi PS3 y cambiar el audio a otro idioma era una sencillez.
    Desde que Netflix lanzó para iOS y Apple TV, he notado que es imposible cambiar el audio (en mi iPhone), solo hay opciones para subtítulos. En el Apple TV, algunas películas se reproducen por defecto en español y no puedo cambiarlas al audio en inglés.
    Me gusta más la interfaz en Apple TV (y uso mi iPhone como remoto) que en PS3, por eso la molestia mía, si no, no me importara tanto.
    Sugiero que todos hagamos un "feedback" a Apple y/o llamemos a Netflix Servicio al Cliente para presionar para que mejoren el servicio, es un problema nuevo porque a nosotros los latinoamericanos nos gusta más escuchar el audio en el idioma original y leer subtítulos, estamos acostumbrados a eso.

  • Compatible cameras for FINAL CUT PRO 5.x available in latin america?

    Hi! So I have a big problem, none of the camera models mentioned in the compatibility area of the final cut webpage are available where I live. Is it true that no other cameras are compatible? There's an entire series of cameras SONY DCR-HC42, 46, 52 etc. that are for sale here and not mentioned there. Also true of old JVC and Panasonic models. Please help me figure this out, I have to buy a camera to capture some video I have on MINIDV onto the final cut I have and have to know I'm not buying a camera that won't work.

    Thanks. That's what I thought. Plus, models available in latin america are apparently not the same as those available in the US and Europe, and my suspicion is they haven't been tested.

  • Insufficient credit on an unlimited subscription

    I have just bought the unlimited subscription and can not make a call at all. It keeps tellin me I have insufficient credit.. On an unlimited subscription.. How does that work? I did have to buy more credit because I needed to make phone calls, but missed the chance I can't get in touch with them now. But that's not the issue, the issue is why can't i use the service I'm paying for? My internet is fine, my phone is fine, everything is just fine just the service.

    Finally managed to work it out with skype, not sure if this will apply to you but it did with me. Because my partner has an Estonian mobile number, skype subscriptions only work with landlines in Estonia.
    Regardless if she is in Norway at the moment will have to go through the Estonian Company first, so she will need to get a sim from Norway or Finland (her next stop) they are part of the mobile subscription, or any of the other countries thats part of the mobile coverage list, otherwise you can only call landlines.
    But positive thing is, once she has a sim from one of the areas that is covered by the subscription she could be ANYWHERE in the world and you can speak to them providing they have reception and thats about it. Thats how i have understood it anyway, and saves getting credits, or the 60min, 120min packages which are expensive.

    Re being able to access the Apple Store on the internet, you should be able to access the main Apple Store via the "Store" link at the top of this page - unless your country's government has required that the ISP's which operate there restrict access to it. As to being able to make a purchase, however, that depends upon credit card agreements between card issuers and nations - this has nothing to do with Apple.
    Re the ability to purchase songs from iTunes, apparently that is a matter of permissions from the particular nations' governments involved as well as licensing-for-sale restrictions by the publishers of the music. It is only relatively recent that such became available in Europe and Canada. This, too, is not an Apple issue - I suspec that if it were up to Apple, there would be no obstacles to anyone purchasing songs from the iTunes Store anywhere in the world.
    Re the Venezuela time zone question, apparently Venezuela has decided to go its own way -

    - there is no way that Apple, nor any other computer or software vendor, could have forseen that happening.
    Re the iPhone, its availability is subject to obtaining agreements between Apple and cellphone service providers. If no service provider in a given area is willing to enter into an agreement with Apple, at terms sufficiently advantageous to both parties, then the iPhone will not be available in that area. In addition, most nations' governments have a say in approving such agreements; if a nation's government declines to approve such an agreement, it won't happen.
