Lauching Custom transaction thro' ITS : Problem in Saving entries

Hi,
I launched a custom transaction which in turn launch the VA01 transaction thro' Integrated ITS service. I could fill up entries for creating the Sales Order but unable to save it...the reason is the GUI status is not displayed in the displayed VA01 transaction.
How to achieve the same?

Here zlaunch_va01 is the service which launches the custom transaction which has a button named 'Create Sales Order', on selecting this button; the VA01 transcation gets launched but without the GUI Status, because of the same I am unable to save the filled entries.

now when i try to insert this value in the custom table it is getting updated as 20/10/0208 , but it should be 08/02/2010
How can i correct it..

just before saving u might have to use a string reverse FM and then save it..

Performance problem in custom transaction

Hi,
We have a custom transaction for checking the roles related to an transaction.
We have the same copy of the program in DEE, QAS and PRD(obvious).
The catch is in DEE the transaction runs very slow, whereas in QAS and PRD the transaction is normal.
In the debugger mode i found in DEE while accessing AGR_1016 it takes an long time.
I checked the indexes, tables and extents and noticed that in DEE the extents, size and the table size(physical size) is more than in PRD.
Whereas, the records are more in PRD and less in DEE.
Please guide me on what all checks i can perform to find out where exactly the problem is?

Hi,
What database are you running? It sounds like that's where the issue is, if it's a table with a lot of changes a table reorg might be in order (especially with older databases). You should probably close this message and open another one in the relevant DB forum.

Custom transaction to be displayed/accessed via ITS

Hi,
just a quick question for understanding. If we have a custom transaction (copied form an existing one and enhanced) and want this integrated into the ENterprise Portal via ITS, would we need to create an ITS Template or something like that or will the integration work without any additional development work?
Basically my question is, do we need to implement a ITS/HTML Template?

we have not yet installed the ITS, that is why we do not know yet, how the custom transaction looks like in the webgui / ITS screen. We want to know what effort it might be to rearrange the screen elements (layout) if necessary (i.e. too many scrollbars, etc.).

Issue when accessing standard LM transactions via ITS

Hi,
We are implementing WM using ITS Mobile.
We have developed certain custom screens and also used standard transactions such as LM02 and LM04.We have created a internet service for transaction LM01 and published all our custom and standard screens within the service.
When testing the transactions in R/3 using LM01 transaction..there were no issue...
But when testing the same in ITS....once we enter into a standard transaction like LM02(By clicking the corresponding menu entry) and click on Back button...it must bring me back to my menu( transaction LM01)...instead...my ITS session gets logged off...displaying message...'You have been logged off from SAP NetWeaver Application Server'.
We are facing the same issue when we try to access standard LM transactions via ITS...
I tried to analyze by debugging from ITS....but the flow of R/3 and ITS remains the same...
These are my service parameters..

I am also trying to implement WM using ISTMobile, but i have a little problem... when i am in my local network the service works and calls the page in the browser, but when i am in other network it gives me "Could not connect to remote server" (off course).
I undertand that i can´t access my server through other networks... but can anyone tell me if i it is possible to access SAP ITSMobile transactions through the internet?? Is the solution create a VPN network to my local network or something like that?

Executing custom Transaction from Dialog Task

Hi all,
I am calling a custom Transaction from a dialog task (absolutely, from the method of the task). The user will be executing that workitem from ESS.
My problem is, while the user executes the workitem it is giving two screen titles in the top as mentioned below. One is the usual ESS header (Work center of ESS12345) and other one is the "Title in of custom program".
I am not getting why it is giving two titles in the screen. Please advice.
Versions being used.
R/3 - ECC5
ESS - ITS 640

Problem when saving business partner on creation or changing

When i create a business partner in fmcac1 it is taking an eternity when saving. i am also encountering the same problem when saving changes in transaction fmcac2. its hanging when i click the save button but if i terminate the job the changes woul have been made. what might be causing the problem.
When i terminate the process am getting the message as shown below

well there are really many possibilities for that.
have you once waited, if the task will finish?
if it does finish i would suggest to do a SQL-Trace with TA ST05.
If this is possible, the performance trace will show you quite by detail where your process time is beeing used.
To find out why so much time is used in that position then is another thing.
But once you got the problem identified you should be able to exlude some reasons like (inperformant selects or such).

SSO to R3 thro ITS notworking(HTML GUI) . SSO working for WINGUI

We have configured SSO to R3 . The SSO is wokring for Win Gui iviews but for WEB HTML iviews ( thro ITS) the same is not working .

The best thing to do is perform a security trace in SM50
open transaction sm50
press F5
Ctrl + Shift + F7
Increase level to 2
Uncheck the first check box and check security
Confirm
Then perform the request through the browser and check the security trace available as a option in the menu in SM50. You will find the cause of the error at the end of the trace

Custom Transaction using RSDMD to go to MD Screen Directly

Hi,
I have created a custom transaction for Master Data Maint. which uses RSDMD and the InfoObject name.
By using this custom transaction I can reach to
the screen to filter the records. Here I click on
execute (F8) to reach the actual data.
I used SHD0 to create this custom-transaction.
How do I include the "execute / F8" functionality in my custom transaction, so that when I use custom-transaction I can go directly to the data.

Your design of going for Name01, Age01 , Date01.....
is absolutely correct. Stdandard SAP even does the same thing.
Regarding the dump...you can do one thing..try referring
standard infotypes which uses table control like Basic pay infotype 0008.
If you get any help from there then its fine..or just post send the dump analysis (point 3 of dump) to forum i guess from that definitely we can conclude at the reason for dump...

I have problem that how to execute a Custom Transaction in Back Ground after end user will save a variant for input. In my Transaction there is no menu to save a Variant & to Execute in Back Ground.

what kind of report you want to execute? the report is Executable Report or Modulepool prog. ??
if it is a executable program so when u execute (F8) from SE38 when u find the selection-screen in the menu bar ->Program ->Execute in Background( F9) option exits there u can schedule your report in Background or else use toce SM36 ( Define Background Job).
Why you want to run it in background with transaction code if you have this options?

Creation Of Custom Transaction For RF enabled devices "mobile data entry"

i need some information, or some material or some example's for creating custom transactions that will invoke the standard good issue transaction of sap from the handled device using the RF , so can anybody give some reference which will help me in creating custom transaction for a RF enabled handled device, which will invoke the standard sap goods issue transaction( mb1a) ,, there are some LM-transaction which do goods issue from the RF enabled handled device, but in my case i want to do goods issue using reservation as my input, so can anybody guide me or send some reference material matching to my problem, i would really appreciate it..

Here are the steps.
1> Customization needs to be completed in SPRO. Logistics Execution -> Mobile Data entry section. Also compare entries with LM01 for understanding.
2> In the 'Define menu management', you can create dynamic menus. For Menu or transaction type, if you enter "1", a menu appears; if you enter "2", a transaction appears. Custom transactions can be created and assigned here.
Once that is done, when you execute LM01 you will see your custom transactions come up. Make sure that these are created keeping in mind the RF device screen size and limitations.

Change transaction using BDC-problem for large number of lines on screen

The code is as given below. To avoid problem of large no of lines on screen,code lines starting with * is used. This actually for pagedown after entering every 2 lines and creates new line. so that 2 lines always push up on screen and there will not be problem for creating large no of lines on screen

The same code is used in modify mode also. web application is sending all 3 lines in modify mode even if single line is modified. It is already decided to send all rows back from web application to SAP in same sequence. It is working fine if i comment 5 lines which is starting with *. But in modify mode, how can i ensure that correct row is modified? and how can i achieve problem of large no of lines on screen?Please suggest?

1. For this we need to know two things ;
   a) the database table in which the entries are already stored
   b) the sequence in which they are displayed in the transaction.
2. So before changing any line, we need to compare (the primary key values / important values)
   a) as per the database table and as per the incoming data from web application (using bapi)
b) if the match is ok, it means that particular row was not modified, else modified.
how can i achieve problem of large no of lines on screen?
1. For this I am not sure about the transaction and its screen. Manytimes for appending row on the screen,
there is a PLUS + button on the grid toolbar. So for every entry, (inspite of some empty/filled rows already visible on the screen), we should use the + button, and this new row always appears on the top i.e. row number 1.

Escaping field value in custom transaction

I have created a custom transaction inserting fields in a table called `billing`. The values are taken mainly from two other tables called `account` and `paypalinfo`. I have attached the code below.
Please not the values to be inserted notated in wavy brackets like{paypalinfo.txnid}. This means the variable content is replacing what is in between the brackets and the brackets themselves of course at run time. Sine these are often character strings, I have put them into single quotes.
This worked great until I had an Irish guy acccessing my site with the sirname of O'Hara. That of course confused the statement, as suddenly there was a ' character, which was supposed to be interpreted as string, but was interpreted as SQL field delimiter and thus broke the code.
Here is my question: Should I escape the value and how would I do it, since this is not a normal code but a placeholder replaced at runtime? Or should I use another SQL field value delimiter, thus replace ' with ` ? I think the latter solution is inferior - just think of what heappens if you get an O`Hara instead of an O'Hara.
So in essence the question is: How do you handle escaping varabiable content in custom transactions with run time replaced variables in {...} brackets?

You should never be using anything but: 'b string mysql_real_escape_string ( string $unescaped_string [, resource $link_identifier ] ) 'i http://www.php.net/manual/en/function.mysql-real-escape-string.php The reasons for this is that this are related to SQL injection attacks. I would hand code this, but for anything more complex than CRUD ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Create,_read,_update_and_delete ) (which ADDT handles very nicely) I favor hand coding as it is faster, less complex when enforcing business process. Also, this allows one usage of the database management system's transaction mechanisms which are typically far more robust and reliable on top of being simpler to work with. Please note that the type of my storage for your database within MySQL will support different features. To enable the usage of database transactions you will need to use the InnoDB table type rather then the default MyISAM table type. Various versions of MySQL have other options for transaction safe table but those two are the ones that are consistently available in web environs where bleeding edge software is not normally deployed. http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.0/en/storage-engines.html Diatribe aside, what you need to do with these templated objects is to duplicate the object referenced {paypalinfo} and apply mysql_real_escape_string to the duplicates elements {paypalinfo_escaped_copy.txnid}. Then run the copied ADDT code with values from {paypalinfo_escaped_copy}. How you do you this I leave you to track down as I do not find that level of abstraction to be a good use of my time and other other libraries/frameworks do it much more elegantly using less of my time. But as Gunter already noted, refactoring your problem to work with your tools existing architectures can be simpler. ADDT has a limited programming architecture (primary design) which is done to simplify the automatic generation of code. This can make some simple things complex (50-80 mouse clicks) as opposed to typing one or two lines of code. some thoughts, <smile> Sean

Transaction Launcher to call custom transaction

I have a requirement where i need to call a custom transaction using transaction launcher. I am able to successfully launch the transaction. But i need to pass a value to the transaction.
For eg. If i am calling a custom report transaction which has a selection screen field 'FORMNAME' as a parameter i need to pass the name of the form to the transaction. I am not able to pass that value. Can any one help me onthis.
I have seen all the posts , but could not get any help on how to set the value for custom transaction. I can see how it is done for standard transaction.

Steps Performed:
I want to list down all the steps I performed to launch an SE38 transaction using transaction launcher on the WEBUI
1) Defined logical system in tcode CRMS_IC_CROSS_SYS
-The logical link looks like this
