Launch a Proccess every week

Hi everybody, I would like to know if there is a way to program a process something like a cron what happen is that i want to execute a process every week, does somebody have an example ? thanks in advance :D

You might need to look into the PushRegistry API.
However, what you describe will not be possible. It is not possible to let a process be started and executed automatically. In other words: the user will always be prompted if he/she wants to launch the autostart registered app, every week. I could not get this prompt away, with or without having the app signed. However, this last thing might differ on certain devices; I can't confirm that.
And, it is only possible to set one autostart time (when I am right it was a long value referring to the amount of milliseconds from the current time on). So, it is not possible to specify some schedule like "every week". You will need to re-register a new (i.e. next alarm time) PushRegistry autostart entry everytime when your app was launched.
And, the user needs to start the application manually on the very first time (so, after having installed it on the phone). It is not possible to install the MIDlet and register an PushRegistry autostart entry automatically.

Contact the maker of the app. Apple has nothing to do with subscriptions to third party apps.

Once in a while the restore process seems to mess up. What I don't understand is why you would perform a weekly restore.
At any rate, if you must restore, perform a device reset (settings>general>reset) and then you will have the opportunity to restore from iCloud. Restore a device whenever it no longer works correctly, not just as a matter of maintenance. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Entourage User Account Diables Itself Every Week or So

Running Mail Service on Apple OS X server package 10.4.4 (problem also was on 10.4.3) we have two customers whose log in account becomes disabled every week or so, as though they had made too many erroneous attempts to log in. We reset their account, and they're good to connect for a few more days, then they contact us to say they can't log in, we check the workgroup manager and, sure enough, the log in permission has disabled itself.
Anyone else seeing this? They are also Mac users, too. They thought they "needed" the features of Entourage. No other email customers using this mail server are complaining at all, although probably no others are using Microsoft Entourage.
We're pretty suspicious this is an issue between Microsoft Entourage and the Open Directory. Occasionally we see one of these users logged in twice at the same time on the server connected users monitor screen.

I don't understand why you need to buy a new one every week. I've had my iPhnoe 5 for almost a year, never had a problem with the cable. In addition, your phone is can't be more than a year old. Therefore, unless you're damaging them, your cable is under warranty and Apple will replace it. Perhaps you should have tried actually availing yourself of Apple's customer service before complaining about it.

Keep hp 6700 in good shape: automatic print quality diagnostic page every week?

I've recently bought the HP Officejet 6700 Premium, and I'm concerned about keeping it in good condition, since I had to replace my previous canon printer because of a stuck printhead (the photo black one, I didn't used it for a long time).
Since I don't print much (but I'm using the ADF scanner a lot), and other family members prints sporadically, most of the time in black and white, I would like to setup an the printer to automatically print a diagnostic page every week to make sure everything is alright.
Using eprint, IFTTT and google calendar I could automatically send a file to print (I already set up the printer to wake up a few minutes before the calendar event) with black and color bars (someone suggest to print the google homepage since it has many colors but uses little ink).
Is there any chance I can directly print the print quality diagnostic page (so I can fully diagnose a problem if it occurs)?

Hey,
To clarify for you and answer your new questions on the printers self maintenance.
The maintenance cycle occurs randomly. It will occur after any power up, after print jobs(not every one) and any time it "think's" printhead health is poor. As mentioned above the printer to does have to be powered on for this to occur.
You can if you'd like still print off the odd test page just to check, once a month would be adaquet.
If you want to be saving power and are turning it off, then you would want it to be at least powering on and running the automated service that occurs weekly.

This calendar item shows itself as every week.

I created a calendar item at work with Outlook, exported it to an .ics and e-mailed it to my home. When I open it with iCal, it shows up as every week. I deleted it, went back to work and tried again.

Do you really have Mac OS 10.6.1 as shown in your message or did you upgrade to 10.6.3?
As of 10.6.3, iCal doesn't interpret BYSETPOS correctly when reading from a CalDAV store; possibly you are having the same problem when importing a .ics file.
The issue (for CalDAV) has been mentioned a couple times on this forum, mainly in relation to Zimbra's CalDAV server--you could search. The workaround for the timebeing, in that case, is to downgrade to 10.6.2.

I send an e-mail every week with an attachment to 4 people since I got Firefox they don't arrive at their destination. Any ideas?

I used Internet explorer but was having difficulties reading "sky's" e-mails, I was recommended by Sky to use Firefox. As to the mail system, I use Sky's e-mail, as I said it use to work perfect on Internet explorer until Sky changed the format of their e-mail page, then I was unable to scroll up or down the page. So I was advised by Sky to use Firefox

Our ENV:
OS - Redhat Linux 64 bit
DB - 11.2.0.3 RAC
Weblogic - 10.3.6
SOA Suite - 11.1.1.6 - we have 2 managed soa_servers and 1 admin server
JVM - Sun JDK 1.6.0_29
RAM - 24G
For the past month we are facing the following issues very often
1. EM is extremely slow - due to low space in DB - Tot - 47G Usd - 42G Free - 5G
2. If we click any of the process sometimes it will come with a FABRIC WARNING Status with duration of 30mins - Is it due to the Dehydration space? We do purge every week but still we have more than 50000 records which is older than 90days.
3. Often now a days we are getting stuck threads and utilizing the JVM fully and getting the servers to react badly. - Is there a way to UNSTUCK a STUCK THREAD MANUALLY?
Please help me to avoid servers going down until we have our maintenance.

Thanks, I expected that purge would be the issue but the purge scripts are looking only for the states which are in completed state. It is not looking for RUNNING and FAULTED, FAULTED, FAULT and COMPLETE, FAULT and RUNNING.
To solve third issue, you'll have to take some thread dumps in the time you have a Stuck Thread on your JVM. If you post it here, I can help you analize it and detect what its causing this behavior.Currently I have 2 Stuck Threads in soa_server1 and it is prevailing for 3days which shows WARNING Status. Thread dumps are here
And NO, there is no way to unstuck a thread. The only way to solve it is to setup work manager to restart this jvm when a thread become stucked. But the right way its to investigate the thread issues.Restarting JVM wont affect other web service calls? What will be the servers reaction when a work manager is restarting the JVM?

Excel charts are loading to fail every week

We are having several excel charts in our site, every week or every few days we are receiving below error
Failed to download chart or image.
Once we restart the excel services every thing starts working with out any error.
We had this charts from more than 1year. But the issue started recently. Can any one help me on how to fix the issue.

I want to run a report every week for all the variants defined for it and it should be sent to spool automatically. what is the procedure for achieving this.
IF this has to achieved by scheduling the report.

Thanks for the reply. You have a lot of considerations before you.decide to purchase additional software.
Great that the Photoshop Elements 11 Editor from Mac App Store is working, but I am not sure how that was integrating with Premiere Elements 11 Editor or will interact with Premiere Elements 11 Mac if you can find the latter for purchase online from Amazon or other. (I realize that the Mac App Store products did not come with Elements Organizer 11; whereas the Premiere Elements 11 Mac does.)
If you want to add Premiere Elements 11 Mac to your computer, it might be a good idea to look at the tryout from the following web site, and then purchase from your selected vendor. The web site offering the 11 tryout does not sell the tryout as far as I have ever heard.

With this route you need to read and carryout carefully that web site's "Note: Very Important Instructions" in order to avoid access denied messages.

You can actually create an iCal event that will run an AppleScript or Automator action at a given time, and have that event repeat at the same time every day. Another way is to use a Cron job.
For iCal:
1. Save the Automator workflow as an application.
2. Select Add Alarm on a new or current event.
3. Select Open File: Other, and open your saved workflow application.
4. Enter the time and date that you want the workflow to run.
If iCal is not running at the scheduled time, the workflow will run when iCal is next opened.

There are two overloaded procedures. The first produces the text of a call to re-create the given job. The second alters instance affinity (8i and after) and preserves the compatibility.
