Launch an app every time I arrive at work?

I've used location based reminders to remind me to pick up something on the way home when I leave work. But how do I get Siri to launch an application when I arrive at work. In this case IM+Pro. I've tried a couple of commands to Siri but I must not have the language down right.

Siri is still beta software and with each new version Siri has more available functions. This one seems logical for Siri's future. At best for now, set a location based reminder for Siri to remind you to launch the app when you arrive at work.

Thanks for the reply. You have a lot of considerations before you.decide to purchase additional software.
Great that the Photoshop Elements 11 Editor from Mac App Store is working, but I am not sure how that was integrating with Premiere Elements 11 Editor or will interact with Premiere Elements 11 Mac if you can find the latter for purchase online from Amazon or other. (I realize that the Mac App Store products did not come with Elements Organizer 11; whereas the Premiere Elements 11 Mac does.)
If you want to add Premiere Elements 11 Mac to your computer, it might be a good idea to look at the tryout from the following web site, and then purchase from your selected vendor. The web site offering the 11 tryout does not sell the tryout as far as I have ever heard.

With this route you need to read and carryout carefully that web site's "Note: Very Important Instructions" in order to avoid access denied messages.

We are fellow users here on these user-to-user forums, you're not talking to iTunes Support nor Apple.
Have you tried closing all apps via the iPad's multitasking bar and then doing a soft-reset and seeing that helps ? To close all apps :
iOS 7: double-click the home button to open the taskbar, and then swipe or drag each app's screen from there up and off the top of the screen to close it, and click the home button to close the taskbar.
iOS 6 and below : from the home screen (i.e. not with any app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of each app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
Soft-reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

Need help: iTunes deletes apps every time I sync

I have a new 3g iPhone (8GB), and every single time I connect my phone to my computer iTunes does its usual thing by backing up what's on my phone, then promptly deletes everything. Every single time. This is so frustrating.
I had 38 apps this last time, and I am very tired of re-downloading all the apps every time.
I have asked this question in other places, but either get ignored or get smart *** remarks which are both unhelpful and turn me off from Apple products. So far no one has been helpful even in the least. I'm new to Apple products, my iPhone is my very first Apple anything... I admit I don't have a clue what I'm doing sometimes. So please take that into consideration.
One other thing, when iTunes deletes all my apps, it deletes them from iTunes as well. So I have nothing to put back onto my phone. I have to go back into the Apps Store and re-download EVERYTHING. Not fun. I'm tired of this and I only just bought the phone less than 2 weeks ago. Please help. Thanks.

I had a similar problem... then I realized that iTunes somehow lost the location of the actual app files on my computer. Try this:
In iTunes, Open the Applications Tab (if you don't see this, check Edit> Prefrences> General> make sure you have "Applications" checked) click on one of the apps and Get Info (Ctrl+Click/Right-Click).
If iTunes reports that "The Application Could Not Be Used... Would You Like To Locate...?" Click yes and use Finder/Explorer to locat the actual application file stored on your machine (Probabably someplace like ...iTunes/Mobile Applications) and bingo - problem solved.
For some reason, my iTunes was looking in my Temp folder, when the actual files were stored in their normal spot. In stead of moving the files from my phone back to my computer - it would just delete them from my phone. Now that I have relocated the files for itunes, they reappeared om my phone on the next sync.
I hope this helps you remedy your problem.

Try setting the offline-allowed element (The optional offline-allowed element indicates if the application can be launched offline) in your JNLP file.
Then the app can't be started without connection to the server. To remove your so from the cache you can use the downloadService (JNLP API Examples) when closing down your app.

Captivate 8 Crashing On Launch...Every Time

Hi there, I'm a new Captivate user, I recently reinstalled the patch (8.01 245 from October) and now whenever I launch Captivate and choose new responsive project it loads up, gets to "adding slides"...and crashes. Every time. I can load other projects (i.e. start a project from PP) however later on in the process it crashes randomly as well, just disappears, no warning, nothing repeatable (one time I was editing a slide, another just flipping through some slides). I had been using the program on another partitition for the past month with no problem, but after upgrading a larger partition to Yosemite and reinstalling Captivate onto that partition this started happening.
Any advice? Thank you!

Just to add my experience to this thread (if it helps).
Mine isn't crashing as much as it sounds like it is on Nepotist's machine, but it does crash nonetheless. I am also working on a responsive project.
Basically the program will just close. No warnings, no crash report - nothing. It doesn't crash when OPENING a project, it just crashes while working on one.
My specs are the following: MacBook Pro (Mid-2012), 2.3 GHz Core i7, 8 GB DDR3 Memory, NVIDIA GeForce 650 M 512 MB, OS 10.10.2

Why does my Apple TV 3 launch itunes songs every time I start watching a movie on netflix?

I just set it up and have gone through all the available trouble shooting but every time I launch a movie in netflix, my laptop starts to play songs. how can I make it stop. also, iTunes does not see AppleTV as a device and it doesn't show up on FInder either. Is this normal?

thanks for the info - I will try the power the Router and ATV boxes, I can see why that may help since I did upgarde the ATV on the 2nd May (which is when these problems started) so I can say I beleive that the ATV is running the latest software. I'll let you know if rebooting both boxes helps.

ITunes installing apps every time I sync but they are already on iPad

I need some help please. iTunes is driving me mad.
Info: I use Windows 7, latest iTunes and iPad using 4.2.
I sync a lot, nearly daily. Since yesterday iTunes is going mad. I have connected it 3 times now and every time it insists on installing LOADS of apps (maybe all of them that's on my iPad?)... as in apps that are already ON my iPad. Apps that have been on there for months (and no it's not updates, as I said, I sync very often).
Why does it keep "installing" my apps over and over again and how can I stop this please...? I've tried Googling it but can't find anything similar. Like right now I'm watching it installing "blokus ipad", and app that has been on my iPad since the summer and an app that I saw it installing just an hour ago on the previous sync too.
After the first "weird" sync last night, it ended with an error for 2 apps.
After the second sync this morning it ended with an error for 27 apps and I thought to make a note of the error code, each have the error code: 0xE800002D
I'm on my 3rd weird sync now and it's again instisting on installing loads that's already on my iPad.
Any ideas please?

Just wanted to add some more info. I have done a proper restart of my iPad. I have also restarted first iTunes (no difference) and then the computer. No difference.
Then I went into Preferences and deleted the device backup for my iPad. Plugged the iPad back in and it did a new backup VERY quickly. Unplugged, plugged back in and synced again... AND it's still installing all the apps (which are already on my iPad)... AGAIN
I really don't know what to try next...

Mail app: copy and past in draft folder kills the mail app every time

Create an email and save it (instead of sending it), the go to the draft folder, copy that draft (command,c) and try to paste it (command v) to create multiple versions of that email and the mail app dies every time. I do this to create multiple copies for mass emails which brings me to problem 2, the Mail app cannot send to multiple email addresses.

This has been really bothering me. I came up with this solution and have tested it. I hope it works for you too.
Create your first e-mail
Save it to your Drafts folder, in the usual way (in whichever account you're going to send from)
Left-drag this e-mail FROM your drafts folder on to your DESKTOP
Double click the icon it makes
When it opens, from the Mail.app menu bar click Message > Copy to > click on the Drafts folder you want your e-mail to be saved in
The e-mail that you double clicked from the desktop should still be open
Now use this key-combination alt-⌘-T and you'll copy another version of the same draft e-mail to your drafts folder
Repeat the key-combination for as many versions of the e-mail you need - you can work at some speed, it keeps up - no crashes. They will all go to your Drafts folder in the same way the Copy/Paste feature used to work
Once you have as many copies in there as you need, double click each one from your drafts folder, add the recipient address and any customisation and SEND!
This problem appears in quite a few threads on the Apple forum, so I will cross post.
I've not seen this solution anywhere else, or anything similar.

When I updated my Mac, it won't connect to the internet when I've closed all Safari windows. I have to restart the computer every time to make it work.

Every time I update my Mac different problems occur. This time when I got an update notification, I went ahead and updated what it wanted. Now when I'm done browsing the internet and close the windows and try to open a new one, it says the internet isn't working. I checked the network diagnostics and it says everything is working fine. I've noticed I have to restart my computer every time to get it the internet to work now. This never happened before I did the update.

This procedure is a diagnostic test. It won’t solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of this exercise is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login. First, disconnect all wired peripherals except keyboard, mouse, and monitor, if applicable. Boot in safe mode. The instructions provided by Apple are as follows:
Be sure your Mac is shut down.
Press the power button.
Immediately after you hear the startup tone, hold the Shift key. The Shift key should be held as soon as possible after the startup tone, but not before the tone.
Release the Shift key when you see the gray Apple icon and the progress indicator (looks like a spinning gear).
During startup, you will see "Safe Boot" on the login screen, which appears even if you normally log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Safe mode is slower than normal, and some things won’t work at all, perhaps including wireless networking on certain Macs. If you usually connect to the Internet via WiFi, and it doesn’t work in safe mode, connect using an Ethernet cable. If you can’t do that, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and perform a safe login, as follows: Enter your credentials at the login screen, then hold down the shift key and click the “Log in” button. Keep holding the key until the menu bar appears. In this mode, your login items, among other things, won’t load.
In safe mode, launch Safari and test. Same problem(s)?
After testing, reboot (if you booted in safe mode) or log out/log in (if you performed a safe login) as usual.
