Launch Day: getting an iPhone 4 by walk-in

Just wondering if anyone out there has experienced iPhone launch days in the past. I missed out on the pre-order, I was trying all day and could never get through until they bumped the delivery date to July 2. Now me and my friend are planning on waiting in line the morning of Launch day as my local Apple store told me there would be iPhones available for walk-in customers. Any input from people who have done this would be very welcome. Thanks

Your answer completely contradicts what the apple store employee told me. She told me there will be iPhone 4s available for walk-in customers as soon as the store opens and that it would not be contigent on pre-order customers not claiming theirs. Also, Walmart didn't even sell pre-orders, yet there are numerous press releases saying they'll be selling the iPhone 4 on launch day. So I imagine you saying that all iPhones have been "sold out just from pre-orders" just an assumption, which we all know what happens when you assume.

So, its clear to me that I am not going to be one of the lucky few that gets a new iPhone 4 on the promised launch day of June 24. After spending 16 hours on the internet on Tuesday to repeatedly get error messages from Apple and ATT, I went into a BB near my work and preordered my unit early Wednesday morning. I went back today and double checked my number in the line and I am the last preorder they took at around 100. No chance of June 24 for me. I am not the only one that has heard this -- Its even implied in the BB iPhone 4 Pre Order FAQS -- That those pre orders exceeding the actual number of units received on launch, will not receive their unit until the second wave has shipped to the stores.

Switch iPhone colors on iPhone had since launch day?

My iPhone 5 arrived on launch day, and have had non stop problems with it since then.
I live in the UK where there are far and few between Apple stores. Over the weekend we are going out our way to Christmas shop at a mall with an Apple store.
I'm going to get my iPhone replaced because of it's many hardware issues, but I was wondering if they would replace my iPhone 5 (black) for a white one?
My iPhone arrived with a few small scratches and putting a case on it caused a few more, although they are small they are very noticeable because they are white scratches on a black iPhone, do you think they will switch for a white one?

No. In order to get a different color, you would have to return the one you have for a refund and purchase a different one. If you've had it since launch day, you're well outside the return window.

IPhone 4 launch day

I was not able to pre-order the new iPhone neither am I able to wait in line to get one on Launch day. One of my family members is going to try and get me one though. She will be arriving at the store around 7:00-7:30 am and Best Buy opens at 10:00 am. Do you think she has a decent chance and obtaining one of the iPhones?

Let's put it this way. If there are extra phones, do you think they'll ship them to Best Buy or to an Apple Store? More profit at the Apple Store, so I'm guessing if you want to stand in line, go to the Apple Store. My experience with waiting in line for new iPhone launches without a reservation is not good. Not good at all.

No. With the amount of information you've provided it's impossible to offer a potential solution. We can't see your computer so we need to know the details of your problem and setup, i.e.:
what version of iPhoto are you using?
what system version are you running?
what do you see when iPhoto opens?
what fixes have you tried?
where is your library located?
did you apply any updates or upgrades just prior to the problem occurring?
are you running a "managed" or "referenced" library?
what type of Mac?
how much free space on your boot drive?

That's one of the weird things.. it recognizes it maybe 10% of the time. And usually, only after I do the two-button reset. Problem is.. since it won't charge above 2%, anytime I try to do a restore or anything like that using iTunes, my device shuts off and I lose whatever progress I'd made.
So, an update... after reading through a bunch of similar complaints (there are literally 1000's of them so there's NO WAY this isn't somehow ios7 related, thanks a lot APPLE ) I decided to try a restore in recovery mode. After 3 hours and several disconnections... I ended up having to just set it up as a new iPad, as the restore did nothing. Weirdly though... as I was doing the restore in recovery mode.. I noticed I'd gotten up to a 10% charge.. higher than it's been since September, so after setting it up as a new device, I turned it off and plugged it in using the wall charger. 2 hours later and I was up to 38%. Still not great, as my iPad, before ios7 could've fully charged twice in the amount of time it took for me to now get 28% more of a charge. And that's with a fully cleaned out device.. so that really ***** and I'm now more confused than ever.
But I'm gonna leave it overnight charging and see what I come up with tomorrow. Sadly, when I paid $600 for it in February, I never expected to have to play "wait and see" with it...

IPhone 5 launch day line

Hi, I was planning on waiting in line on launch day for the iphone5. First of all I am not 18 yet. Yes I am aware that I cant purchase the phone at this age. I was wondering if I would be allowed to wait and get the small card basically reserving my phone in the store and then having my parent meet me in line an hour or so before doors open so that they can pay. My question is will they give me one of the small cards if I do not have an adult with me at that time?

I purchased one iphone on launch day and I called today about a refund and they said sorry they cant do it I was ****** and I told them this is b.s. So the guy told me that sorry there is nothing i can do. The refund is only good if you bought it from Aug 24th and on

Will I be able to get the 4th generation iPad (not the mini) on launch day November 2nd? This is my first time buying an iPad and I was wondering if they sell out really fast when they go on sale I'm stores or will I still be able to get one? I am planning on going around 6 PM on November 2nd.

They can end up sold out by the end of the day, though that can differ from store to store. So if you can, you might try to get there much earlier than 6:00 pm.
I'm in a city with an open 24 hours a day Apple store, but they are not selling the mini or the ipad 4 until 8:00 am.
Best Buy near us is opening early at 8:00 am instead of at 10:00 am to accommodate. Other stores? Not a clue.
So maybe you can get there early in the am.
I suggest you call whatever store you plan on going to on Nov. 2nd, and ask an employee or manager.

I read Over-the-Air Profile Delivery and Configuration document over and over.

How to get the iPhone 4 super fast!!

I was going to get mine launch day but i failed to pre-order so i just waited until June 29th ( When at&t started to sell it ) I ordered mine about 5 am on Tuesday and it said ships in 7-10 days. The next day I took my dog outside and long behold the iPhone 4 was on my porch.... I got mine in 1 day through at&t.. i would recommend getting it through them instead of through apple.. Unless ur that much of a "FanBoy" that you have the overwelming need to get the piece of crap phone from apple.
