Launch in standalone window rather than browser?

How do I get Flash Builder 4.5 to launch compiled apps in a standalone window, rather than in a browser window, as it does by default?
Just installed FB4.5 after working with FlashDevelop for a number of years, and lots of new options to learn.

After a bit of digging around, clicking on
Project -> Properties -> HTML Wrapper -> unchecked Generate HTML wrapper file
did the trick, and allowed a standalone window to open with the app.
Now I am am trying to figure out why it is running much slower, than when I launched a standalone window from FlashDevelop. Any advice?

When right clicking to open link in new window (not tab) foxfire immediately switches windows rather than opening new window in background

Just updated to foxfire 15.0, and now each time I open a link in a new window foxfire will switch immediately to that newly opened window rather than opening the new window in the background as it did before I updated to 15.0. I am aware of the option to check or uncheck switching to new tabs immediately, but I am speaking of opening a link in a new window, not tab. Any help is greatly appreciated.

To Reset Firefox do the following:

Uploading a Specific file rather than browsing

My app allows users to create a user-named jpg like so:-
var enteredimagename:String = imagenameentry.text;
var file:File = File.applicationDirectory.resolvePath(('assets/images/')+enteredimagename+('.jpg'));
However I now want to allow a user to upload that specfic file automatically to my server by clicking a button which will simply upload that file WITHOUT having them browse for it. So basically I need it set up so that when the user clicks a button whatever name they type into the imagenameentry.text will be the image that gets uploaded. For example they create an image which they name yahooimage by typing yahooimage into the imagenameentry text input component. Once a button is clicked this will save this image as assets/images/yahooimage.jpg but I want to advance this button click further so that this specific jpg is then set as the file for upload without browsing for it. All the examples I've seen use the browse function though which is not what I want.
How can this be combined with the filereference method or some other way so that the file to be uploaded can be entered into a textinput component as described above rather than browsed for?

At this time that feature is not available. If you are trying to view Javadoc and Code at the same time you can try a split pane view that places both documents side-by-side.

Since I'm no web expert, take my experienced reply for what it's worth:
I checked on my Safari, unchecking the "Tabs" "Preference" regarding commmand-clicking, and everything worked fine. Then I thought again about your situation, and it reminded me that on various websites, command-clicking brings up a new window (although, as you point out, control-clicking for the menu and selecting "New Tab..." does create a new tab). What that means is that certain websites must have an embedded command (java?) that opens it in a new window, overriding your Safari preference. In other words, it is a website issue, not a Safari issue (although perhaps Safari could be made to override the websites!). Hope this helps!

How does one open something in a new window rather than a new tab, when browsing?

I much prefer how this used to be before I upgraded to the latest iOS, in this sense.
I do not like dealing with multiple tabs; there are times that a new window is just needed.
I am assuming that it is possible to open new windows and I just haven't figured it out yet.

Truthfully, I am shocked that this is the case and even more so that people didn't put up such a stink that Apple had to reinstate the old option. If I had to pick only one, which doesn't seem reasonable at all, I would choose the separate windows of old as opposed to the tabs.

How do I get my computer to start opening up files instead of opening a pop up window rather than the file?

My computer has started opening up pop up windows that say, "Step 1: Select File, Information Gathered Successfully, Step 2: Click Show Information Button", instead of opening the file I click on. This informaion windown has generated another pop up window that suggests I visit the iTunes store for an app that will open the file. Twice I have purchased apps that the iTunes store said would open the file. Twice the apps have made no difference at all. The apps did not open the file. Even more frustrating than being sold apps that don't work is that the files I'm trying to open are textedit files created with the software on the very computer that is now refusing to open them.
How do I get beyond the pop-ups and open the files I created?
Is it possible to return the apps that iTunes said would work, but did not?

Links open in Dreamweaver rather than browser

Hi. For some reason any link I open in Adobe Flash or Air
apps will open in Dreamweaver and not my browser. Windows XP. These
are apps that have opened in the browser in the past. Seems like a

When I open a new tab and type in a URL, a new window opens, rather than the link appearing in the tab. Also, when opening links embedded in pages, these always open in new windows rather than tabs. I want to use tabs!

When I click on the pinned Firefox icon it only opens and closes one window rather than opening a new window.

It used to be that every time I clicked on the pinned Firefox logo in the taskbar a new window would open. Now when I click the pinned logo it only opens and closes one window.

hello, this seems to me like intended behaviour - all other open programs behave the same way, a click on the pinned icon minimizes them, another one brings them back to the foreground.
you can open a new window by right-clicking on the firefox icon & selecting that option. the keyboard shortcut for it would be ctrl+n, or you can also [[Customize Firefox controls, buttons and toolbars|add a "open new window" button]] onto the firefox user interface.

Why does Firefox 5 open links in a new tab or new window rather than within the same tab? Previous versions opened links in the same tab allowing use of the "back" button on the mouse. Having to close so many tabs and windows is really irritating.

Hotmail may have changed their software recently to open an email message in a new window, and also to block the toolbars from showing in that new window.
They may be using JavaScript to open that pop-up. Or they may have come up with a way to overcome certain Firefox preference settings. ''(I don't know which it might be, I quit using Hotmail back in 1999, when I took the "training wheels" off my PC and I quit wearing short pants. ;-)''

You can select '''Open new windows in a new tab instead''', and see it that works for you.
2. The JavaScript Options extension adds options to Firefox's JavaScript Advanced dialog window (Content tab in Options), which allows you to override websites that suppress the Toolbars in pop-up windows.

New window in Safari puts page behind rather than in front. Why?

Thanks but I would have to use command>option>click in order to get that effect. I went back to reproduce the action from an email link and the new window came up in front. I'm going to test various links to sites from within Safari and via emails and will report back. Thanks for your time.
