"Launch iPhoto2 or later to populate this list"
When I'm in iLife applications, my photos are not available in the Media Browser. Instead, it simply says: "Launch iPhoto2 or later to populate this list." I have tried the two support articles that are currently listed on the Apple site and nothing has changed. I am a new Mac used and could really use the help!
In iPhoto, go to Preferences, Keywords.
Change the match option from "all" to "any".
Just below that, delete all keywords except for the default iPhoto keywords: favorite, family, kids, vacation, birthday. You can actually delete those too if you like.
Launch an iLife application, and you should be able to see all your pictures again in the media browser.
For some reason, iPhoto 6 imports keywords previously assigned to a picture, most likely generated by another program/person. It's a nice feature, but it seems to crash the pictures pane in the iLife applications media browser.
Hope this helped

Launch iphoto 2 or later to populate this list.
I don't know why all of the sudden my Idvd and imovie cannot see
the photos I've brought into iphoto.
This has always worked for me until today.
When I click on media and then on photos
it says this:
Launch iphoto 2 or later to populate this list.
I have the latest versions of all the programs
Thank you,
CarrieTry deleting the iMovie preference file, com.apple.iMovie.plist, and the iDVD preference file, com.apple.iDVD.plist. Then relaunch and see if they will recognize your library.

IMovie says "Open iTunes to populate this list."
When I try to add a photo or song to my iMovie project, the program says "Open iTunes to populate this list." (In the photo section, it says "Open iPhoto...") Opening either program doesn't change anything.
I've reinstalled Lion and iTunes to no avail. I have also moved the "iTunes Music Library.xml" file to the desktop, and although iTunes creates a new file, the problem persists.
I get the same messages for iTune and iPhoto in other programs, including Mail and Garageband. The problem seemed to pop up when I was connecting my iPhone to the computer to send an iMovie iOS project to iTunes.
Please help.Hi, I have this same issue. I'm not so sure how to remove the preference file from my media browser though. I don't even know what the media browser is. Any help would be very appreciated. I can't access my iTunes data from iMovie or Keynote.....likely other iLife and iWork programs as well.

It may help to trash the iApps Preferences File.

I am having a problem when I try to select a photo or itunes song in Imovie or other programs. I get a window with grey lettering that says: "Open Itunes to populate this list" or "Open iphoto to see photos from your iPhoto library in this list. I have tried relaunching programs and nothing appears. Seemed to start happening a while back after one of my system upgrades.
After a a lengthy conversation with Apple Tech. ($20), my problem seems to be solves. The Iphoto problem solved by trashing the plist file. The Itunes was more involved. We had to create a new Itunes folder and import the files into the new folder; and then import the playlists.

Iphoto 9.5.1
iTunes 12.0.1.26
My problem is when i open my iPhoto and pick the song for my slide show, it show "open iTunes to populate this list" on the iTunes selection.
I have tried deleting the iTunes library xml file and creating a new playlist to create back a new library file but i still can't link my iTunes library file to my iPhoto.
I have no problem at all before i upgrade my mac to yosemite.
Please help!I have this exact same problem! Did you resolve it at all? I did not have this problem before the Yosemite upgrade.

Open iTunes to populate this list.
Hi, when I attempt to add sound FX or Music etc in iMovie (or Keynote) I get a message that says "Open iTunes to populate this list" Unfortunately opening iTunes doesn't help. I can't access my music with iTunes or Keynote etc. Any help would be very appreciated.
I have heard that deleting a prefernce file in the Media Borwser can solve this but I'm not sure how to find it.Thanks for your help. I'm not sure why but my Library folder is off my HD. Its not off my username folder. Even in my Library folder those files indicated in the support page weren't there. I may have deleted them earlier today when I deleted several preference files. Such a hassle. I have already reformatted and reinstalled as well....I was amazed that it did nothing.

I have restarted my computer a bunch of times. I've opened itunes first then imovie but it just says it's loading itunes...but it continuously does that and doesn't load any songs from itunes. It's the first time this has happened and it's ******* me off.
After a a lengthy conversation with Apple Tech. ($20), my problem seems to be solves. The Iphoto problem solved by trashing the plist file. The Itunes was more involved. We had to create a new Itunes folder and import the files into the new folder; and then import the playlists.

"Open iPhoto 5 or higher to see photos from iPhoto Library in this list" ??
This is a huge problem because I was in the middle of making a slideshow and then all of a sudden when I tried to choose a photo to put in the slideshow, it said "Open iPhoto 5 or higher to see your photos from your iPhoto Library in this list."
The problem is, is that I'm using iPhoto 6.0.6 and that's definitely higher than iPhoto 5, if I'm not mistaken. I'm trying to upload a video on my facebook profile and it says the same thing. What do I do?
This is what it looks like:

Two common causes of this issue:
Is there a photo cd in your disk drive. If so, eject it and try again.
Otherwise this can be a symptom of a damaged database:
Try these in order - from best option on down...
1. Do you have an up-to-date back up? If so, try copy the library6.iphoto file from the back up to the iPhoto Library allowing it to overwrite the damaged file.
2. Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
3. If neither of these work then you'll need to create and populate a new library.
To create and populate a new library:
Note this will give you a working library with the same Rolls and pictures as before, however, you will lose your albums, keywords, modified versions, books, calendars etc.
Move the iPhoto Library to the desktop
Launch iPhoto. It will ask if you wish to create a new Library. Say Yes.
Go into the iPhoto Library on your desktop and find the Originals folder. From the Originals folder drag the individual Roll Folders to the iPhoto Window and it will recreate them in the new library.
When you're sure all is well you can delete the iPhoto Library on your desktop.
In the future, in addition to your usual back up routine, you might like to make a copy of the library6.iPhoto file whenever you have made changes to the library as protection against database corruption.

0092-0301-8334434Hi again,
Did the popup work ?
For the list item , use the built-in add_list_element in a loop. Example : in the pre-form or when-new-form-instance trigger ,
clear_list('block_name.list_item_name');
for rec in (select column1,column2 from t_table order by 1 desc) loop
ADD_LIST_ELEMENT('block_name.list_item_name', 1, rec.column1, rec.column2);
end loop;

I have a MacBook Pro 17" that meets all criteria on this list but it still won't let me upgrade... Help.
To install Mavericks, you need one of these Macs:
MacBook Pro (15-inch or 17-inch, Mid/Late 2007 or later) **** Maybe my MacBook Pro is early 2007 ? How do I find that out? ****
Your Mac also needs:
OS X Mountain Lion, Lion, or Snow Leopard v10.6.8 already installed ***YES
2 GB or more of memory ***YES
8 GB or more of available space ***YES
Last Modified: Nov 6, 2013Then your model cannot upgrade to Mountain Lion or Mavericks. That is why you could not download it. You can upgrade to Lion, however.
Upgrading to Lion
If your computer does not meet the requirements to install Mountain Lion, it may still meet the requirements to install Lion.
You can purchase Lion by contacting Customer Service: Contacting Apple for support and service - this includes international calling numbers. The cost is $19.99 (as it was before) plus tax. It's a download. You will get an email containing a redemption code that you then use at the Mac App Store to download Lion. Save a copy of that installer to your Downloads folder because the installer deletes itself at the end of the installation.
Lion System Requirements
1. Mac computer with an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7,
or Xeon processor
2. 2GB of memory
3. OS X v10.6.6 or later (v10.6.8 recommended)
4. 7GB of available space
5. Some features require an Apple ID; terms apply. -
How to populate a list box linked to selection in combo box?
Hi All,
I am a beginner in Xcelsius. I am having problem on how to populate a list box based on the selection on my combo box.
I have a combo box and a list box. The combo box value consist of Countries. Values are:
Singapore
Indonesia
Thailand
When I select, for i.e. Indonesia, I want to populate the list box with all the Postal Code of Indonesia. When I select Thailand, i want to do the same.
Can anyone shed some lights on how to achieve this?
My spreadsheet data is as follow
Country Postal Code
Singapore 680123
Singapore 680124
Singapore 680125
Indonesia 155123
Indonesia 155124
Indonesia 155125
Indonesia 155126
Thailand 333123
Many Thanks,
HariantoHi,
I am detailing the complete steps below:
In the combobox select the entire range of Country while seeing the records from the Combobox, Xcelsius will automatically show the unique values in the selection.
After that in the "Data Insertion" section for Combobox select the "Insertion Type" as "Filtered Rows" (please click on the question mark beside this option and it will show how the selection works).
In the source select the postal code, in the destination select the range which will be used as a data source for the list box.
This will resolve the concern. Please remember to select the question mark beside the "Insertion Type" option, it explains the working in specific details.
Best of luck.

Hi,
i have custom sharepoint list and i have displayed this list on sharepoint webpage as a webpart.
now, i want to display limited sharepoint list items in that webpart and remainig items i want to show in read more link in right bottom of the webpart.
Any one help me how to do thisHello,
As i understand you want to add read more link for rest of items in listview webpart. You can create new view and set item limit in that view then add that list as webpart on webpart-->edit your webpart-->select view from view selection dropdpwn-->
save it
Later add one CEWP and use html <a> tag to redirect to your main list when clicks on it. Here is the steps to do this:
https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/sharepoint/en-US/a9d036ff-04a8-4235-84a5-c90164ff5294/read-more-for-sharepoint-list
You can also use Jquery/Javascript/ECMA script but above one is OOTB and easy solution
Hope it could help

URGENT,FRM-41337: Cannot populat the list from record group
Hi all:
Can anyone help me in that problem?
I have a database item in the block as a list item with combo box style and I use this code in WHEN-NEW-RECORD-INSTANCE at the form module level to populate that combo box list:
DECLARE
group_id RECORDGROUP := FIND_GROUP('group');
list_id ITEM := FIND_ITEM('employees.job_id');
x number;
BEGIN
IF NOT ID_NULL (group_id) THEN
DELETE_GROUP (group_id);
END IF;
group_id := CREATE_GROUP_FROM_QUERY ('group','select name,TO_CHAR(id) job from cmn_jobs where job_type_id = 4720 ');
x := POPULATE_GROUP (group_id);
POPULATE_LIST (list_id, group_id);
EXCEPTION
WHEN NO_DATA_FOUND THEN
null;
END;
That code worked very well and without any problem, but when I change the list item from combo box style to poplist style then the forms give that error:
FRM-41337: Cannot populat the list from record group
And an additional null/blanke element appears in the poplist with original element that come from RECORDGROUP.
So can anyone help me to solve that problem please?First, how I can assign a default or initial value DYNAMICALLY to my poplist.Set the default-value to a parameter like :PARAMETER.MYPARAMETER then you can assign the desired default-value to the parameter.
second, if I have popliste say X for example depend on another poplist say Y ,so when I put the code to populate popliste X on WHEN-LIST-CHANGED on popliste Y and make query then the >forms return FRM-40301 Query caused no records to be retrieved ,but when I have a copy for that code in WHEN-LIST-CHANGED and put it in WHEN-NEW-FORM-INSTANCE at the form >module the form work and returns records, so is it any error or exception in what I did.Can't answer that, you should check :SYSTEM.LAST_QUERY to see why the query does not returnany records.
At the last, which better to put the code for popliste in PRE-FORM trigger at the form module or in WHEN-NEW-FORM-INSTANCE at the form module.I would use the PRE-FORM-trigger -
FRM-41337: Cannot populate the list from record group.
My task is to populate the list after a list changed is triggered in another list item. I have 2 list items, report_type ans subgroup_type. When report type is changed, I have to get the value from it and create a select statement for subgroup_type. Here's what I did in the pre form:
PROCEDURE INITIALIZE_LIST IS
BEGIN
for Preparation status
DECLARE
rg_list_id recordgroup;
rg_name varchar2(20) := 'REC_REPORT_TYPE';
ret_code number;
-- the following holds select query from which the lst element are d
-- derived
v_select varchar2(300);
BEGIN
v_select := 'SELECT description, lookup_code FROM tmx.tmx_lookups '||
'WHERE lookup_type = ''RTV_REPORT_TYPE'' AND enabled_flag = ''Y'' '||
'ORDER by 1';
rg_list_id := find_group(rg_name);
if not id_null(rg_list_id) then
delete_group(rg_list_id);
end if;
rg_list_id := create_group_from_query(rg_name, v_select);
ret_code := populate_group(rg_list_id);
populate_list('start.s_report_type', rg_name);
delete_group(rg_list_id);
END;
END;
and in the s_report_type list change event, here's what I do:
BEGIN
DECLARE
rg_list_id recordgroup;
rg_name varchar2(20) := 'REC_SUBGROUP_TYPE';
ret_code number;
v_select varchar2(300);
BEGIN
v_select := 'SELECT description, lookup_code FROM tmx.tmx_lookups '||
'WHERE lookup_type = ''' || :start.s_report_type || ''' AND enabled_flag = ''Y'' '||
'ORDER by 1';
rg_list_id := find_group(rg_name);
if not id_null(rg_list_id) then
delete_group(rg_list_id);
end if;
rg_list_id := create_group_from_query(rg_name, v_select);
ret_code := populate_group(rg_list_id);
populate_list('start.s_subgroup_type', rg_name);
delete_group(rg_list_id);
END;
END;
and the FRM-41337 error is triggered. Please point me out where I missed. Thanks a lot.try to change query with this
'SELECT description, to_char(lookup_code)........and dont delete the group after
