Launch, shipping date and immediate impressions

Why do they launch the product a month before it will actually ship? Why not launch it and ship it straight away? There is probably a very good reason, but I don't know what it is, perhaps someone could entlighten me.
So now PS CS5 is revealed will people be leaping to upgrade? Must say I do like the look of the puppet warp and the context aware fill (which is going to make my work a lot quicker, if it really does what it appears to do in the promo stuff), but I guess 64 bit is going to make me upgrade, so I can use more than 3 of the 16gig on my mac pro.

Tech support is a completely different animal all together that is driven by the bottom line. Development is another said topic which is being pulled in many directions based upon ones opinion or a group of market researchers. Good or bad, if you don't change with your market change the inequalities shall bite you in the butt in profit or loss statements. I actually hate corporate politics, but I always find myself in a constant battle with said subject. Ironic as it may seem, but when I see things break, I voice my opinion. You make your own mind up if I'm full of myself or not.
I have never personally purchase any version of Adobe products and never plan to do so. The problem with tech support is clearly the disconnect between bean counters and customer product awareness. Adobe has never been a big supporter in tech support nor in giving information in the form of manuals. They have heavily relied upon their Alpha and Beta testers to join with them to gather information and have input into creating the application as well as Adobe literally using software testers and developers as a crutch to distribute functional features of said software developments.
It's an ultimate user experience for Adobe and they have cashed in very well in the past, but they are running out of quality guinea pigs to suck from in my opinion. Compiled with the India tech support factor, Adobe has pretty much sucked the life out of their client base and will need to fish new ponds for support. I just hope someone in a position ( if there is such a person ) actually understands WTF they are doing, but so far, I see blinders on and phasers on full...

  • How to stop scheduled ship date and scheduled arrival date from defaulting to sysdate

    Hello,
We have a business scenario where we are deriving scheduled ship date and scheduled arrival date outside and then imported in the instance with the order. However we find that the scheduled ship date and scheduled arrival date are defaulting to sysdate. The atp flag is set to N for these items. I have checked the defaulting rules, there is no such defaulting rule set for scheduled ship date or arrival date ( screenshot attached) Please share your thoughts on how can I stop scheduled ship date and arrival date date from defaulting to sysdate ?

  • Where does the data come from which powers the ship date and delivery date

    Hi All,
Please let me know, where does the data come from which powers the ship date and delivery date?.
    Adi.

    Hi,
DELIVERY DATE  will be maintain in the SALES DOCUMENT TYPES in VOV8 in the tab REQUESTED DELIVERY DATE/PRICING DAE/PURCHASE ORDER DATE.
The field is PROPOSE DELIVERY DATE .
If you check the field then the document created date will be the Requested date and will be carried from ORDER TO DELIVERY.
If you want the delivery date other thann the CURRENT date then you have to maintain the LEAD TIME in days in the same tab.
SHIP DATE: is the date on which you do the PGI in the delivery .
Please check them and revert back if u need further details
    thanks,

  • Delivery date and shipping date

    Hi,
    Delivery: individual delivery
Shipment: collection of deliveries which has to be delivered if route is same.
Then, my question is whether the shipping date and delivery date is same for a particular order? Then what is the filed and table for shipping date?
    Regards,
    Sooraj.M

    Hi Sooraj,
The delivery document’s delivery date (LIKP-LFDAT) is independent of the various dates found on the shipment document to which the delivery belongs.  Shipment processing will not automatically change LIKP-LFDAT.
There are several planning and execution dates on the shipment document that can be considered the “shipment date”:
    Check-in
    Loading start
    Loading end
    Shipment completion
    Shipment start
    Shipment end
All of these are found on the shipment header table VTTK.

  • Set autoinvoice gl_date = sales order ship date

I have sales orders with both shippables and non-shippables. The sales order uses header level invoicing so that the shippable and non-shippables are interfaced to AR at the same time. We use the default grouping rules which groups first on ship date and then on sales order date. Since the non-shippables lack a ship date, the gl_date for the invoice of the sales order is coming through with the sales order date.
We're using the invoicing rule Advance Invoice and the accounting rule immediate. We are deriving the gl_date.
Has anyone had any luck getting invoices to use the ship date of the sales order when both shippables and non-shippables are interfaced together?
It's been suggested that we could use a rule start date on the acccounting rule, but we are uncertain how this would work.

    Hi,
When you open a sales order, the docdate will be today's date and the delivery date is empty. the cardcode, item code, etc are also empty.
    Use this following query FMS:
    select $[ordr.docdate]
save it by using query generator and assigning the FMS into delivery date by pressing shiftaltF2 and define formatted search window will appears. Select search by saved query, input the query above, check auto refresh when field changes, select customer/vendor code, select display saved value (it is used to avoid updating the document every time you open it) and finally update the define FMS window.
when you open the sales order document, it will still be empty, after you input the cardcode, the delivery date will be input automatically  and as same as posting date. if it is today, then the dates (for both) will be today.
    Rgds,

  • Expected Ship Date:  Not available at this time.

For those wondering where their previously promised phone is (and if they will ever see it), there is hope... Epilogue, still no ship date and still no official word from Verizon.
<Chat transcript removed as proprietary information per the Verizon Wireless Terms of Service.>
Message was edited by: Verizon Moderator
If only Verizon's customer relations and notifications were as diligent as their moderators ;-)
The gist of the chat was that there were "unknown delays in the shipment of HTC phones" and the best guess is shipping approximately a week after the initial promise date. Perhaps I'm the only one experiencing their "ship date" moving from a given date to the text, "Not available at this time", and therefore should consider myself "special".
If anyone else is also special, please reply if only to have necessary evidence to escalate the communication issue either up the support chain or in effective social network forums.

The irony of this dissertation is that the content in question of violating the ToC was actually a cleansed chat dialogue (all PII - Personal Identity Information - was obfuscated) that portrayed Verizon online support in a positive light as caring, resourceful, and responsive to an unfortunate situation where they failed to proactively notify customers of delays.
It was shared with this community so that others in this situation could see both (a) the reason for the delay and (b) that someone at Verizon actually cares.
For some reason, this caused a fellow consumer to register a complaint, perhaps it was motivated because they are dissatisfied with Verizon and do not like to see them portrayed so positively?
The apparent necessity to police and educate posters in discussions is a natural self-appointed role well documented in the behaviors of social networks such as this. The unfortunate fallout is that the original message is too often lost in the educational discourse that ensues.
To be clear, the original message is this:
If your prepaid order for an HTC 8x has an expected ship date that changed from a given date to the text "not available at this time", fear not - the friendly and helpful live-chat people will tell you it is because of unforeseen delays with the hardware manufacturer and they are very sorry this was not communicated to you. Simply wait for an email that your phone has shipped - as they are unable to provide an updated expected ship date.

  • Can anyone clarify the meaning of Cruise Ship data?

Can anyone clarify the meaning of Cruise Ship data?  I recently asked for it on my account, but when I returned from my cruise I was charged all sorts of Global Roaming data charges.  No Cruise Ship usage was listed on my bill even though I only used it while at sea (tethering my PC).
The rep I spoke with said that the billing codes used for Cruise Ship Data and Global Data are the same, and Global Data was how it was listed on my bill. What would the distinction be, then?  I assumed that Cruise Ship data would use the cruise ship's towers, but it appears that you have to worry about what country you are sailing near while at sea and whether they subscribe.  Anyone have any light to shed on this?
    Thanks!
P.S. The service is even slower than what the cruise ship offers for $.55/minute, and the connection is not reliable. I will not be using this feature again, and cannot in good conscience recommend it.

Thanks so much for asking, Rayray_10803. I would be happy to clarify roaming charges.
Wireless Cruise Ship Service allows Verizon Wireless  customers to make and receive voice calls while at sea using their own mobile phone and mobile telephone number.
This service exists on various cruise lines, through an agreement with Wireless Maritime Services (WMS), Maritime Communications Partners (MCP) and Sea Mobile to offer an advanced network on board various cruise ships for Verizon Wireless.
For this reason, rates on cruise ships are different than they are when you visit the country without using the towers on the ship.

  • Schedule Ship Date/ATP in OM.

    Hi Champs,
would like to know how system calculates automatic schedule ship date for an order.
also pls let me know if ATP and schedule ship date are same.
    Thanks.
    -Arif.

    Hi Arif
Schedule ship date is populated by ATP when you book or schedule the order. If the item is ATP enabled, ATP calculates the schedule ship date and populates on the order.
When ATP runs, it considers lot of modules like , purchasing supply, open order for demand etc. ATP calculation is complex calculation and can be dependent on lot of parameters like if you have Global Order Promising installed or not.
I hope you get the answer.

  • Iphone 6 expected ship date of 10/3

I had an expected ship date of 10/3. I called earlier to find out if the phone would actually ship and they told me that the order was held up due to a change of address...Really?!? I called DAYS before and asked to change the shipping address and after 20 minutes they told me I couldn't until the phone was shipped. So now they still have no answers as to when the phone will ship. Verizon needs to get it together!!!!

My shipping date changed about a week ago to 10/3 for an iPhone 6+ 64GB Space Gray. When I pre-ordered on the 12th, it was expected 9/19 delivery date. Confirmation email came back 2 hours lated with 10/7/14 (very not cool of Verizon - never ordering anything from them again for misleading ship dates and then never formally addressing the problem). From there, the order shipping status was "Unavailable" for about a week, then it was showing 10/7/14 for a few days, and now its 10/3/14.  I'll let you know if it changes.

  • Actual shipping date vs original/requested shipping date

    Hi Experts
We are new with SNC and want to not only measure supplier delivery performance on delivery date but also on shipping date - i.e. measure if the supplier shipped the goods on time.
Do you know how we can get a hold of these two dates (actual vs original shipping date)? Are there any table fields to obtain this info or perhaps an option to load the dates into BW info cube?
    Thank you in advance.
    Best regards,
    Dan Bruun

    Hi Dan,
You can get actual shipping date  and original shipping date from the table /1OM/ORDR4SDL<your client name>.(if client=800 then table will be /1OM/ORDR4SDL800).
Go to table /1OM/ORDR7MP3<your client name> enter the PO number in field ORD.NO and copy ORDID use this ORDID in table /1OM/ORDR4SDL<your client name>.
select the record with ORDID(copied from above table) and field SLDType=CONF then field TSTFRFRT will give you the original shipping date and TSTFRTOT will give you original delivery date.
select the record with ORDID(copied from above table) and field SLDType=ASNC then field TSTFRFRT will give you the actual shipping date and TSTFRTOT will give you actual  delivery date.

  • Link between actual ship date of an item and schedule line in Sales Order

So, we are developing a custom report that compares actual Ship Date (Goods Issue Document MKPF-BUDAT) and the date the item should've been shipped (Schedule Line Date).
I am able to link the GI Document to Delivery Document and can then link to Sales Order Number/Item Number.  However, a line item can have multiple schedule lines.  What logic can be put in the mapping so that the correct scheduling line is picked for the GI date to be compared against?
    Example:
    Sales Order 123
    Item 10 Product X - Quantity 10
    Schedule Line 1: 11/15/2014 8 pieces
    Schedule Line 2: 12/15/2014 2 pieces
Let's say first shipment gets delayed 2 months and ships 1/15/2015
Due date in report should know to select 11/15/2014 to calculate that shipment was late 60 days
Any way to link delivery document to a specific schedule line??
    Thanks!!

    Hello,
Just did similar development for customer report. List of deliveries based on sales order number and sales order line item numbers. Sort these deliveries either with number or actual goods issue date. Compare goods issue quantity with schedule line quanity and start allocating deliveries to schedule line. For example
Schedule line 1 - 10 MT, Schedule line 2 - 5 MT. Now you have created 3 delivery. First with 7MT, second with 5MT and third with 3MT. Your first delivery will be for first schedule line. Your second delivery is for first and second schedule line and your thrid delivery will be for second schedule line

  • Shipping Date was off and no updates on when it wil arrive.

Hi there, I purchased a 50" inch Samsung TV at the beginning of this week 4/27 and when I chose my shipping option, Best Buy's website stated that I could either pay 60 bucks for a next day (4/28 Tuesday) delivery or get it delivered by Weds 4/29 for free. Of course I chose the free option since it was just one day's difference, and now this is the second day I have missed from work as I wait for my TV. Considering I only get 4 days of sick leave per year, it is imperative that I resolve this and procure the exact delivery date. I have already tracked my order via both BB's site and UPS. Yesterday, which was my original delivery date of 4/29, Best Buy's tracking info said my delivery date had been changed and was now set for Thursday, which was already upsetting because BB's site at the time of purchase as I mentioned said it would be Tues. Tracked it again via UPS's site and see my TV  has been holding in a suburb less than 30 mins from my address since 5:00AM and there are no further updates. I am livid as I would had gladly shelled out the 60 bucks which pales in comparison to the 16 hours of salary I could be receiving instead of sitting here waiting for this delivery. I normally get home from work at this time and am dissapointed that still no TV has shown up. I am very upset and would like to be compensated in some fashion as the Best Buy website should had informed consumers at the time of purchase that their free shipping date is a guess and subject to change, for then I would had paid for the expedited process. I am hoping there is a good explanation for this. Thank you.

    Hello,
I am always anxious about the arrival of my shipments and if they are not delivered as expected, I can become a little frantic. I very much regret that your delivery experience didn't meet your expectations; certainly your inconvenience and frustration were never our goal.
Using the information that you provided when you signed up for Best Buy Unboxed, I was able to review your order, which shows that it was placed shortly after 6:00 p.m. local time. To my understanding, this is after our warehouse shipping cut off time and could very well have influenced when your order was available for UPS to pick up and ultimately its delivery day. This should have been reflected on BestBuy.com as well, and I'm at a loss to explain why it was not for your order.
With that said, I was very happy to read that your new TV arrived at last. I hope that it gives you many years of delight.
Please know that I'm grateful that you wrote to us about your experience. The feedback you've provided is very meaningful.
    Sincere regards,
