  • Opening UWL GP tasks via URL

    Hello,
    I am currently using NetWeaver 2004s Sneak Preview and am developing a process using guided procedures.  I have configured the tasks to appear in the Universal Worklist and this has been working well.  I would like to know if it is possible to launch a particular task via a URL given that I have the task ID available.  Reason being, I am currently working on sending email notifications through GP to current processors and would like to give them the ability to launch their task directly.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Greg

    Hi ,
    I have tried and got sucess in opening GP task in email notification (via sy.workitemurl parameter).
    I am facing a problem. The senario is decribed below:
    I have a process with multiple steps which are executed by different users.
    E-mail addresses of all the users are same.
    I opened my first step from the received notification. There is no log off so I closed the explorer window directly.
    Now first action is completed and workflow moves to second action (different user).
    I tried to open second action but by default it takes the previous login for opening that action.
    Can you please highlight on this Why this is happening and what will be solution?

  • Launching applications via URL

    I want to try and investifate whether tarantella easily supports the
    launching of applications direcitly via an html page / url.
    Are there any example instructions that give users examples on how this

    Dave,
    One of the new features in SGD EE 4 is the ability to launch an app from
    a URL. See

    Hello,
    I see your thread is still unanswered, were you able to resolve the problem yourself (if so can you share with others who may have the same problem)? If so can you add anymore details which may help someone else to find an answer?  Or is it ok to mark this post as assumed answered?

  • Dropdown buttons not working in Portal (UWL, ESS & MSS)

    Hi,
    I am having this problem in the portal. When a user clicks on any dropdown button in Webdynpro applications such as UWL, ESS & MSS in the portal, an error message 'Error: Access is Denied' appears in the left bottom corner of Internet Explorer 6.0, with a yellow triangle sign. The dropdown buttons then appears disabled and nothing happens when they are selected. I will appreciate if you can provide suggestions as to why this is happening and how to solve it.
    Thanks

  • BIP Report access via URL in OBIEE

    Experts, I want to access a BIP report via URL in OBIEE. Here are the details. I already have Answers request with 'Is Prompted' filters. I have a dashboard prompt. The request works according to the values given in the prompt. Say, the user gives some filter conditions in the prompt and the result returns 10 records.Now, due to some business requirements, I want the same result set(10 records) to be opened in a new window. For that we thought of using BIP and invoking this BIP report from OBIEE. Any ideas how can we accomplish this.
    thx,
    parag

    I mean to say that....assume your first view might be pivot report,then you create a BIP report from answers and place the view just below the pivot view in the dashboard.
    Globally you give those prompts ,so that when you give values....it applies to both the views in the dashboard.
    Suggest the end user instead of pop up....you can view both views at a single instance :) .......Give a meaning full name for that BIP report according to what you want to achieve
    =====================================================================
    EDITED:
    you can use go url for your pop-up .....but you need to pass the variable values of the prompt to the go-url so you can achieve your requirement.
    let the end user pass dynamically any values multiple times but the same should be passed to the go-url to get what you want.
    ========================================================================
    EDITED
    I suppose YES we need to pass all the 5 prompt values to BIP report......if user gives 3 values then it filters on those 3 values and only 3 will be passed to BIP i suppose.
    Never tried this passing 3 values and next session passing 2 values.....Play around with your requirement you will achieve it.
    hope all questions are answered.Mark Points.

  • Run XML Publisher Report  via URL (like Oracle Reports)

    Hi All,
    Is it possible to run xml-publisher report via URL?
    In Oracle Reports works this fine:
    http://test:7777/reports/rwservlet?server=test_bihome1&report=test1.rdf&userid=test/testv@db&desformat=pdf&destype=cache
    We need this for public reports without user login.
    Thanks
    Thomas

    Thomas,
    I was waiting to get home before Tim replied... He got the better of me this time :-)
    You say you want to let your users run reports using XMLP just by clicking on an URL same way you do with reports and without having to login. If I got the question right and assuming that:
    1.Your company is not overly concerned on who runs what reports
    2.Who sees what data
    3.Your XMLP installation is on your intranet and firewalled from the outside
    What you can do is:
    On the main page of your XMLP Enterprise installation you should see a folder called "Guest". Any report you create under this folder is run as user "guest" which means you don't have to authenticate yourself as you would normally do.
    I have tested this on my home server and this is what I've done:
    1.Logged in as admin or any other user you've created with admin privileges created a report under the "Guest" folder.
    2.Copied the URL, on my server it is "http://samba.private.net:15101/xmlpserver/Guest/People/People.xdo"
    4.Logged off as admin and pasted the URL to a new browser window
    5.Hit return and Voila, my report runs without the need to login to XMLP.
    Hope this helps. Let us know how you got on.
    Cheers,
    Joao
    PS: If you want to see the report for yourself here's the URL from the outside: http://medeiros.homelinux.net:15101/xmlpserver/Guest/People/People.xdo
    I'll keep the link alive for a couple of days.

  • Problem using image via URL

    Hi everybody
    I have a problem with loading images via URL into my PDFs.
    I am using LCD ES2 Version 9.0.1....
    I want to create a PDF which loads images from the internet but it does not work.
    So far I have tried to add an image or image field to my PDF in the LCD and populate that image using the Object-->Field-->URL: palett. I put the URL in there like this http://www.adobe.com/imageshome/pdfgift_home.gif , tick the "embed image Data" checkbox (also tried with without that just to be sure) and save as Dynamic PDF (I also tried static) but when I open the PDF in adobe reader 9 or 10 or acrobat  9 there is no image showing. I also put the image in a subform and made that subform flowed, as well as the page itself and made the binding global.
    I have the form properties - default set to "Acrobat and Adobe Reader version 9.0 or higher", Default Language to JavaScript, PDF Render format to Dynamic PDF.
    I also tried using JavaScript events like "form:ready ImageField2.value.#image.href = "http://www.adobe.com/imageshome/pdfgift_home.gif" as discribed here http://partners.adobe.com/public/developer/en/tips/lc_dynamic_images.pdf but that also does not work.
    What am I missing?
    Any help would be great and greatly appreciated!!!
    Thanks and best regards
    Norbert

    As far as I can tell, this use case is not allowed because of cross site references related security concerns. The form can refer to the images stored on the same server from where the PDF is served, but the images cannot come from external servers.

  • DataSocket Server will not start when the Launch DS Server if Local URL.VI is bundled into a LabVIEW application.

    I want to run a LabVIEW application on several machines remotely that do not have LabVIEW installed (licensing issues). Hence I have built a LabVIEW executable with the RunTime Engine to install on all of these remote machines.
    The VI has a bi-directional link, using Datasockets, to a machine with DAQ and Image acquisition functions. It primarily receives data items, but also the capability to change data items so it needs to run the "Launch DS Server if Local URL.VI" in order to publish data to the DataSocket server.
    When I run the pre-built VI on a machine that has LabVIEW Developers Edition installed, everything works fine - ie.
    the DataSocket server starts on the remote machine. However when I build the *.exe application and run it on a machine with and without LabVIEW Developers Edition installed the VI successfully subscribes to the DAQ and Image Acquisiton machine, but it does not start its own connection to the Data Socket server, and hence does not publish the data that the DAQ machine needs to suscribe to. IT seems that the Launch DS Server if Local URL.VI is bypassed? I have fiddled around with the Build settings but to no avail.
    In short, how do I get the DataSocket Server to run in a LabVIEW executable? Is it indeed possible? Any advice would be welcomed.
    When distributing a Labview Application (*.exe) with Data Socket Server Publish functionality, the DataSocket server does not start and hence no data can be sent by the Remote PC to the Server. The VI successfully retrieves data from the DS Server. I have used the "Launch DS Server if Local URL.vi" in the ditributed application but for some r
    eason this VI is not executed when I run the executable. How can you force the DataSocket Server to run with executable LabVIEW applications?

    Ryan,
    How to add Datasocket Server Control.vi?
    Source Files only show Project Files.
    So, I added Datasocket Server Control.vi file to the project first.
    Then I added it to Always Included < Source Files < Application Properties (Build Executable).
    Last, I built the Executable, but it didn't work.
    Can you help me.
    Thank you.

  • Printing a report via URL

    Hey,
    is there any chance to get a report printout via an url call? We can get our reports via url as pdf, html, rtf and so on. In my mind there is no chance for a printout or perhaps email via url?
    I tested the delivery API as second way without some good results.
    thanks for help and ideas

    Hi Gael,
    your URL is made up of :
    [ProcedureName]?[parameter1]=[value1]&[parameter2]=[value2]
    creating URLs like this can have problems especially with spaces and punctuation.
    the answer is a FORM
    the following will create a hidden form :
    FORM ACTION="[ProcedureName]" METHOD="POST" name="F1"
    INPUT type="HIDDEN" name="[parameter1]" value="[value1]"
    INPUT type="HIDDEN" name="[parameter2]" value="[value2]"
    /FORM
    you can set the values in the form using:
    document.F1.[parameter1].value="abc123%%&&$$!";
    document.F1.submit();
    will submit the form and the PL/SQL procedure should receive the text as it was contained in the form.
    the only characters that can now cause problems are :
    " as it delimits the field.
    ' as it may cause problems in PL/SQL.
    \ as it is a special character.

  • Image loading via URL with resources in packages

    And another newbie-question:
    When I want to access local media-files (for example images) in a subdirectory, I can use a url to get a local path/filename. For example:
    url = getClass().getResource("/path/image-name.gif");
    image = getToolkit().getImage(url);
    Now I have packaged my classes including the subdirs containing the images in a jar file.
    package.jar
    |
    -- subdir (with images)
    |
    -- a.class
    |
    -- b.class
    |
    -- x.class
    Now the access via url doesn't seem to work any longer. When I subclass "a" outside the package (with correct import-statements, of course) and the constructor of "a" tries to access the images in "subdir" (invoking super()), it cannot find it and an exception occurs.
    Is this correct, or does the error lie maybe somewhere else?
    I had the impression that a jar-archive can be accessed like a directory? Have I to access the images in another way to get them working inside a package? When the classes and images are not packaged, all works fine.
    I work with Sun One, btw., and do mount the jar-archive as a filesystem...
    Any advise?
    Thanks in advance.

    Am I on the right way when using an URLClassLoader instead of getClass()?

  • Can't receive variables from HTML to Flash in AS3 passed via URL (not Flashvars)

    hey all,
    can't seem to get AS3 to recognize variables passed via URL
    (not Flashvars). i can get vars passed with Flashvars in the
    javascript but I don't want to use that method. i'm simply
    extending the .swf call with .swf?var=123 in the embed and on the
    AS3 side i'm calling loaderInfo.parameters.var
    thought this would work but doesn't. what am i doing wrong?
    HTML:
    <object
    classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" codebase="
    http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=9,0,0,0"
    width="1024" height="768" id="main" align="middle">
    <param name="allowScriptAccess" value="sameDomain" />
    <param name="allowFullScreen" value="false" />
    <param name="movie" value="main.swf?var=123"
    /><param name="quality" value="best" /><param
    name="bgcolor" value="#ffffff" /> <embed
    src="main.swf?var=123" quality="best" bgcolor="#ffffff"
    width="1024" height="768" name="main" align="middle"

    type="application/x-shockwave-flash" pluginspage="

    />
    </object>
    AS:
    t = new TextField();
    t.text = String(loaderInfo.parameters.var);
    thx in adv.
    michael

    appreciate you were going for brevity, but i think the
    answer's going to be hidden either in your complete html code or
    your complete AS code. without seeing this i can only keep
    guessing.
    that said, my latest guess is that you're not passing your
    variable within the AC_FL_RunContent function. there are two
    properties set in this function - src and movie, which contain your
    movie name, to which you can add any parameters you wish to pass.
    eg.
    'src', 'main?var=123',
    'movie', 'main?var=123',
    where main is the name of your swf and var the name of the
    parameter you wish to pass.
    if this function fails - if javascript isn't available in the
    browser, for example, or AC_RunActiveContent.js is missing, then
    the <object> tag you described is used. (this object tag is
    sitting inside a <noscript> tag.)

  • Embedded images disappear on column sorts when viewing SSRS via url in an iframe

    RE:   SQL Server - 2008 R2  Reporting Services
    We deliver an ASP.Net MVC (5) application and some of the views show/display SSRS report via url in an iframe (so the report is displayed vi the web viewer).   There are images in the header of some of these reports which display correctly on the initial
    view, but "disappear" when the user uses a report column sort and/or changes the report zoom (via the SSRS web viewer toolbar). There are other quirky behaviors as well (depending on the browser), but we are dealing with IE versions 8 thru 11.  I've
    already set the ReportViewer.aspx to use <meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=7">, and our application pages/views use <meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=edge">.
    Does anyone have a "fix" for this? I know it's related to the ReportViewer.aspx and displaying the report(s) in an iframe, but I can't seem to find any information on how to fix the issue.

    Hi,
    According to your description, when you preview report through url in an iframe, the embed images can be displayed, images can’t be displayed after users used sort and changed report zoom.
    To troubleshoot the problem, please refer to the following steps:
    Run the report in Business Intelligence Development Studio (BIDS) to make sure that the images can be displayed correctly.
    The issue may be relevant to compatibility of browser, please use different browser to check whether the issue persists.
    If you are using embedded image of jpg type, please change the extension of the image to png.
    Set the ReportViewer.aspx to use <meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=8">.
