Launching premier pro CC2014 trial error

Every time I attempt to launch Premier Pro CC2014 Trial, I get the error message: [/ppro801/releases/2014.03/shared/adobe/MediaCore/ASL/Foundation/Src/DirectoryRegistry.cp p-283]
and application quits.
How can I overcome this problem.

From the screen shot shared by you it seems you are working on Windows XP which doesn't meet the minimum system requirement to run Premiere pro CS6.

You should probably post your question about burning a DVD from Premiere Pro in the Premiere Pro forum

  • Unable to launch Premier Pro 1.5

I have for the first time installed Premier Pro 1.5 on WIndows Vista version and cannot get it to work. What should be done? I use a Toshiba Satellite laptop computer. How do I also get the software plug-in to work?
    Thanks.
    K.O.

    Welcome to the forum.
As Jeremy points out, it might not be possible, but then again, it might.
Let's go to the beginning. When you installed PrPro 1.5, did the installation go well? Any error messages?
If the installation went well, are you running as Administrator?
When you launch PrPro, you will get a Splash Screen. There is a tiny line of text that indicates what is loading. Does your launch get past the Splash Screen? If not, what is the last line of text (you have to look closely, as it is small)? It is likely that that is the module, .dll, etc., that is halting the launch. Or, it could be the next, the one that we do not see. Still, knowing the last line could be useful. If necessary, set up a video camera to record the Splash Screen and then play back the tape, pausing on the last entry in that line of text. This ARTICLE might be helpful, especially if you have any VST's installed on your system, say from an audio-editor.
Good luck, and let us know how it goes.

  • Premier Pro CC Trial not responding

Just updated premier pro, will load up option page for new project etc,
but as soon as I click new project it doesnt respond.
running on windows 7, also have also downloaded trial on another computer? is this the problem?

You do not appear to be hitting the same crash, prosto-c. The Faulting Module and Exception Code are totally different.
A variety of issues can cause PPRO to crash on launch. Just off the top of my head:
a problem with the Preferences, or some other pref-related file in the Profile-<USERNAME> bin.
    the graphics driver
    third-party plug-ins
a problem with the cache files.
a problem with the project file (if you're loading a project...)
the Preferences files be set to read-only
the user not having administrator rights
a conflict/incompatibility with some OS setting
a problem on the licensing/authentication side.
If the list above doesn't lead directly to a solution, then I suggest starting a new thread. A log file might help identify the cause of the crash. Please right-click 'My Computer', select "Manage," look under 'Event Viewer->Windows Logs->Application' to see if there's an event there from Premiere Pro. If so, copy the contents of that log and paste them here. Also, please provide as much of the information as possible that is requested here: http://forums.adobe.com/message/4200840#4200840

  • Premier Pro CS6 Update error

    Hi Forum,
This problem has hung around for months. I have spent days and days over many months trying to get a solution from Adobe but all efforts have failed.
THE ISSUE: When I attempt to update Premier Pro (Help/Updates ...) I get an error from Adobe saying "The Update Server is not responding or the internet firewall settings may be incorrect."
I am only running a software firewall (Bitdefender) and I am not getting any reports from it that an application is trying to open a port, nor can I see any attempt by an adobe server to communicate.  In any case, I have uninstalled the firewall several times but still get the server error message. It seems plain the problem is at the Adobe end.
    What can I do?
    Does anyone know?

You can manually download and install the updates.
    Windows.

  • Just loaded CS5.5 Production Premium for Mac and cannot get Premier Pro to open-error messages

Just loaded CS5.5 Production premium onto my iMac and I am getting an error message when I try to open Premier Pro i.e., [/Volumes/BuildDisk/builds/Mulder64/shared/adobe/MediaCore/ASL/Foundation/Make/Mac/../../S rc/DirectoryRegistry.cpp-283].  I am finding similar issues with Encore.  Haven't been able to get through to Adobe help as yet, anyone have an idea?

Which language is your default system language set to? This is critical as you may have installed support for langauges that your version of CS cannot handle. The common fix is to choose File --> Info or File --> Explore Package and remove e.g. Asian languages...

  • Keyboard shortcut tab isn't working on premier pro cc trial version.  Is this to be expected?

Downloaded a trial version of premier pro cc on my new iMac 5k.  Don't really know why I bothered as I am going to get the full package anyway.  Thought I would run it and pop in some rushes from another project, all worked fine until i tried to customise the keyboard shortcuts.  I press the tab and nothing happens.  Is this because it's a trial version?

Sorry for such a slow response.  I've been up to my eyeballs in work recently! (not a bad thing).  Thanks Ronin for your help.  I did have a look at that link and there is some useful stuff there.
As it turns out I solved the problem another way.  All I had to do was clear my synced settings and then re-sync!! can you believe that!  Now when I select keyboard shortcuts from the menu the window pops up and I can customize away.  Before, nothing happened when I selected keyboard shortcuts from the drop down menu!
Maybe it's a weird solo bug that only happened to me, I hope no one else suffers this infuriating thing!
    Cheers

  • Error launching Premier Pro after update

I am unable to launch PP.  When it lauches I get an immediate error:
Premiere Pro has encountered an error.
    [/sirreel64/releases/2013.02/shared/adobe/MediaCore/ASL/Foundation/Make/Mac/../../Src/Dire ctoryRegistry.cpp-283]
On brand new imac-27, latest os10
I've uninstalled and re-installed and continue to get error.  All other CC Suite products launch just fine...

Please see if the advice here helps: http://premierepro.wikia.com/wiki/Error:DirectoryRegistry.cpp-283
Also, do you have a Documents folder at the standard location and does it contain the Adobe/Premiere Pro folder: /Users/<USERNAME>/Documents/Adobe/Premiere Pro. If so, is Premiere installed on the same partition as this Documents folder?

  • Adobe Pro Free Trial - Error message #0

Error #0 - what does it mean - trying to download Adobe Pro trial

I am not familiar with error 0, but you might try a couple of things to get around it.
The first would  be to try using a different browser.
The next would be to try downloading the trial version of the software thru the site linked below.
Be sure to follow the steps outlined in the Note: Very Important Instructions section on the download pages at this site or else the download will not work properly.
