Layer Comps to PDF -- Gone? Bridge not working correctly.

I never needed this feature, but decided that it would be handy for a project that I am doing. I have a set of powerpoint slides that are all layer comps (6 slides). I went Export Comps to JPG to get the slides to build my powerpoint, but I also wanted to do a PDF version of the powerpoint. When I export from powerpoint to PDF, the resolutions gets hammered and it looks bad.
I have CS5 and have never used the Layer Comps to PDF that was in previous versions, but found tutorials and that is exactly what I need. It is gone.
The Bridge output to PDF fails because no matter what I do, it adds a margin. I don't want a margin at all. I set all the margins and spacings to zero and no luck.

See that black margin? Where is it coming from? I don't want it! It isn't for display purposes only, it outputs that black border.
I know the most sure way to do this is use Export Comps to JPG, then place them in InDesign, then output to PDF from there. That is way too many steps for something that used to be right there.

It's been a couple of years since I used Acrobat to make PDFs from Office products, but I'm sure there was a settings panel somewhere that had to be set up to get your desired resolutions and quality levels for the PDF file. I don't think it has to "look bad" by definition. I was using Word myself, not PowerPoint, though. I did end up being able to create a full-bleed (image to the edges) PDF.
From within Photoshop CS5 you can do File - Save As, PDF. Not sure what part(s) of "Layer Comps to PDF" you needed.

Bursting a PDF Template is not working correctly

We are using a PDF template for an export document and we are bursting the request so that we can send the output to multiple destinations.
This all works correctly until we hit a document that results in multiple pages. This results in the generated output to be a complete mess. Text appearing all over the page.
If I take the same XML and run it through the template in Template viewer, everything works as expected. The text is all where it is supposed to be. So this appears to be an issue with how the XML and template are bursted.
Anyone have any ideas?
EDIT: I should mention that we're on XML Publisher v 5.6.3

Standalone PDF file system not working correctly

I have built a website http://greatayton.wikidot.com/ where one PDF Menu file calls up lots of other PDF files.
I now want to use the same menu system to call PDF files on a PC hard disk with the Internet turned off.
I used hyperlinks to link from the PDF Meny to the PDF files.
This works but first calls up Internet Explorer then displays the actual file which makes the operation slow and unweildy.
How do I just get the hyperlinks to call up the PDF files?

I have bought Adobe Acrobat X Standard & now works

Default pdf Viewer does not work correctly

On this pdf, page 1 will not display, but displays fine in IE and Chrome. If you download the pdf, it displays just fine. So the issue is definitely FireFox, here is the url:

On this pdf, the Firefox has added grey boxes around the images. These boxes do not appear in IE or Chrome or when you download the file, here is the url:

Problems these are all throughout my client's website with a library of over 700 pdfs. This is causing major issues. Please tell me you are aware of these issues and already working on a fix, otherwise, I will have no choice but to put a disclaimer on the website to not use FireFox, which would look bad to the client and FireFox.
Please advise as soon as you can.

We are seeing thiss isue on Windows 7 PC's running current revs of FireFox.

We have this problem as well. Unfortunately after years of only supporting IE and finally rewriting our site to be standards compliant we are going to have to force users back to IE because of this issue. It's not feasible for us to walk users through changing the default viewer. The default should stay Adobe (if installed) until a more robust native version is available. I understand you want to promote free and open tools but if they don't work, it's just not good enough.

Email PDF from IE not working correctly

We use software that exports a Crystal Report to a PDF file and displays it in Internet Explorer (IE9). From the Reader toolbar, you can email the PDF as an attachment. Ever since upgrading to verion 11, the file is attached to the email with the name of the web page instead of the PDF extension (.aspx instead of .pdf). I copied the attachment to the Desktop and renamed it to a .pdf and it does open just fine. The problem is that I should not have to do that. Plus, users are having a hard time with it. How can I fix this issue?

This is a known issue in Acrobat11, will be fixed in dot release.

No, there isn't. The way you're using the file is not recommended. You
should use a review tracker to avoid getting in the way of one another.

I have had this problem with Windows 7 and iTunes updates for some time. Each time it takes hours to solve but with the over the air upgrade to IOS6 on my iPhone and iPad, I was determined to solve and remember what I did, So here it is:

PDF Portfolio does not work with iOS Reader 11.3.2 on iOS 7.1.2

Well this is upsetting. I created a PDF form with several pages of the same form (it's a travel log).
My hoping to use Adobe Reader to complete the form and save back as a week at a time won't work.
I created the form using Acrobat Pro 9 from CS5.
Does anyone know if a PDF form in a Portfolio should work with Adobe Reader on the iPad2/
Also, what can I use that works with forms as a portfolio?

Pdf object postMessage not working in FF 22

Hi,
After updating my FF to 22, i seen pdf object postMessage function does not working. We used adbove livecycle intraactive pdf forms to collect the data from the user.
When user click the save button from the pdf, postMessage function called, but after update this not getting execute.
For your reference i include the URL which also had the same problem. I also tried without addons.

This is likely the fault of Livecycle Interactive. Most likely, Adobe has not yet provided an update for supporting Firefox 22. I would recommend informing adobe support about it.

You need to turn off the restriction you've set to allow changes to accounts in:
Settings > General > Restrictions > (Allow Changes:) > Accounts

Function keys are not working correctly

I've been looking all over the various threads and I can't find an answer that solves my problem.
Here are the details:
I bought the computer in the U.S. where I live.
I have a iMac 2.4GHz intel Core 2 Duo EMC 2133 with a 20" screen. Bought it new in February 2008.
I have Mac OS X 10.5.8 (I am waiting for my order for OS Snow Leopard to come in!!)
I have been using a wireless mouse and Keyboard (Love not having cords!)
Recently, my wireless keyboard got a short and quit working. I went down to the apple store and got a new wireless keyboard.
I had the computer with me at the genius bar so, yes, the apple employee saw exactly what I have.
I took it all home got the thing all put back together and got the new keyboard paired up and working with the computer.
Here are the problems:
Went to go use the function keys while using iTunes and found they weren't working properly. The F10, F11 and F12 do not control the volume of sound as the keyboard indicates they would, they instead activate dashboard, spaces, and application windows.
Following the advice of other threads, I looked over in the system preferences and made sure the "Use all F1, F2 etc." box was unchecked (it was unchecked), things still didn't work.
I tried the fn key but it appears to not work at all it has no effect on the functioning of the function keys.
I went under keyboard shortcuts in system preferences and found the F10, F11 and F12 keys, it confirms that those keys control spaces, dashboard and application windows as they are performing but shows no options to either reassign to volume control (as marked on the keyboard) or make the fn key work.
I've gone back and forth trying various combinations of checked and unchecked boxes to see if anything would work, so far I've come up with nothing.
A couple more important or interesting facts:
Yes I have turned off and taken the batteries out of the old keyboard. My bluetooth connection currently shows it as disconnected.
I have restarted the computer.
One thing I find odd; when I go under preferences and go to Keyboard and Mouse when I go under the section "Bluetooth" it shows Bluetooth mouse with the name of the mouse and the battery level. BUT nothing is showing up under bluetooth Keyboard, I can't figure out how to change this and don't know if it is contributing to the problem.
When I go under the bluetooth logo on the top bar I find the mouse and both keyboards referenced, the old keyboard is shown as disconnected and the other two are connected. I have tried to update the device's name but it doesn't seem to let me.
I have double clicked on the device under bluetooth and it shows the new keyboard as discoverable, paired and connected. Hence, I am using the new keyboard to write this inquiry.
Please, any assistance would be of great help. I have tried to be thorough in order help narrow the possible problem. Thanks!!

Just thought I'd let you know. Our suspicions were correct, it was the OS. After I installed Snow Leopard (10.6.8) all the problems were corrected. I also updated the RAM from 1 gb to 6 gb. The mac is working all around better. Sorry it took so long to get back to everyone. My superdrive had pooped out. Rather than replace it I got an external drive from OWC connected with firewire 800. So far everything is running very well, as far as I can tell this external drive is better than the original superdrive. My superdrive has always acted funny, infact I returned the first mac I got after a week because its superdrive was also malfunctioning. Anyway, all that to say everything seems to be fully functioning again.

Effects Panel not working correctly

I have Windows 7 64 bit, Home Premium and using PSE9. When I open PSE in Full Edit and go to the Effects Panel, the Filters work just fine, but the Layer Styles will not open (or show anything) and the Photo Effects will not open ( or show anything). I did rename the MediaDatabase.db3 file as MediaDatabase.old, following instructions given in a PSE9 class I am taking....but have done nothing else with that file, and then is now a new MediaDatabase.db3 file under the "old" listing....so two files there.
I have no idea what to do to correct this....and I did close everything and close PSE and also my PC...let them rest a while, and then restarted the PC and reopened PSE9, and still the Layer Styles and Photo effects did not work. I hope someone can understand my problem and help....in simple "baby steps". Thanks

I am working on OBIEE 11.1.1.3 and having problem problem linking 2 analisys with action link
The test case is:
I have 2 attribute columns on a dimension
1. Conto 1 Code
2. Conto 1 Dsc (in RPD i set up the property Descritor ID of -> Conto 1 Code)
3. Conto 2 Code
4. Conto 2 Dsc (in RPD i set up the property Descritor ID of -> Conto 2 Code)
5. Conto Detail
and 1 measure on the fact table
1. Revenue (defined on RPD as simple sum)
On presentation layer i have the analisys:
1.
The First one using as Criteria: Conto 1 Dsc | Conto 2 Dsc | Revenue
The layout is a table with sub-total on Conto 1 Dsc
On Revenue i created an action link to the second analisys containing
2.
Criteria: Conto 1 Dsc | Conto 2 Dsc | Conto Detail | Revenue
Filters: Conto 1 Code (is prompted) | Conto 2 Code (is prompted)
This pair of analisys are working fine.
Then i created a second pair of analisys as:
1.
Criteria: Conto 2 Dsc | Revenue
Using Calculated group \ Items i created a numerous set of sub-totals
On Revenue i created an action link to the second analisys containing
2.
Criteria: Conto 2 Dsc | Conto Detail | Revenue
Filters: Conto 2 Code (is prompted)
This pair of analisys are not working correctly. When i drill from first analisys to second one the Conto 2 Code filter is not used.
Replacing in the second analisys Conto 2 Code (is prompted) with Conto 2 Dsc (is prompted) a filter is being generated on the drill but it's using the Conto 2 Code value and the analisys ends with no results.

Try adding Conto 2 code to the first analysis and keep the filter on the second analysis as Conto 2 code is prompted.
