Layer Not Visible in IE

Hi --

I have an
abolutely positioned DIV (#secnav) within the DIV #banner. In
FF the layer
displays as it should. However, in IE it's not there. This is
one of the
few times I've used layers, and I'm not sure how to go about
fixing this.
Can someone take a look?

The thing is, I didn't have a horizontal scrollbar which I
think is odd.

FOI Layer not Visible - Urgent

Hi All,
I have created a base map and able to view the map in HTML client. I have created one geometry theme for which I want to add as a themebasedFOI on the client side.
I have gone through the mapviewer examples and coded accordingly. In the mapviewer server , I can see output statements which states that features found for FOI theme , but still not visible on client side on the basemap.
and more query is regarding cache invalidation -- I created a tilelayer cache derived from the base map. What config should be done so that if any change in data , mapviewwer should invalidate the current tile cache image and generate new image based on the modified data. I have currently set the life time and interval time in mapviewer_Config.xml , but no change in tile cache if any data is changed.
Can anyone help on this?

your problem seems to be that you didn't purge the cache of the map
you can purge chached metadata of the data source from
localhost:7001/mapviewer/faces/admin/admin_ds.jspx
if u changed some themes you can purge theme @ this page

Mask layer not visible in layers palete

I have a strange problem, when I apply any kind of mask to a layer in motion 3, the mask icon shows up on the layer to which it was applied in the layers palette, but the mask layer does not show up underneath the layer to which it was applied, thus i can't select the mask to adjust the controls of the mask, I can only toggle it on and off,
I would assume this is a simple user error, but for the life of me I can't find a "show mask layer" setting anywhere,
any insight on this problem would be hugely appreciated.

the disclosure triangle for the entire group is twiddled, showing my layers and any added effects, but for some reason the only thing that shows the presence of a mask is the small square icon on the video layer, but as there is not layer beneath the video layer to click on to adjust mask controls... i have been watching m3 tutorials and the mask always creates a layer in the palette when activated, but for some reason it's not with mine...

I'm having issues with text layers in photoshop. Text layers show it's there but not visible on the canvas.

Bevel & Emboss effect not visible in flattened image

I created a file in .psd, with several text layers to which I applied effects (fx) such as stroke, bevel & emboss, outer glow. When I flatten the image, the outer glow and stroke remain, but the bevel & emboss effect is gone. Type is a single color without the 3 dimensional effect.
I am also not able to preserve the bevel & emboss look when saving as a jpeg or a flattened .tif or .pdf. A saved .tif or .pdf with layers shows the effect just fine, but if the pdf is opened with Acrobat instead of Photoshop, the effect is not visible.
This must be a new problem, because I found a file that I created several years ago that is a flattened .tif with the bevel & emboss effect preserved.
I tried rasterizing the layer, and the type. Tried converting to 16 bit changing mode to CMYK, and multi-channel. Everything that involved merging layers lost the bevel & emboss effect.
Any ideas on what I can do?

Thank you for the help. That didn't do it, either.
I did figure it out, though. My problem was that I was making a very large image (36" x 28"), and was viewing it fit to the computer screen size. What I needed to do was view actual pixels and tune up the layer style at that size.
All is well, and I sure learned a lot!

       define simple objects
For these objects 2 rules apply:
1. 'search object name' can only be used once.
2. 'search object name' should not have the same name as any 'object
name'.
Do you have any entries, which break these rules?
If it is related to component enhancement, note 1122248 might help.

Adjustment Layer not rendering...

I have a fairly basic comp consisting of 3 or 4 3d layers spaced out along the Z axis, two precomps containing some edge lighting effects, a camera, a light, and the troublesome adjustment layer. The adjustment layer only contains some color correction and a flare. I thought perhaps a certain effect may be causing the layer not to render, but i eliminated that possibility by removing the effects i had and trying several other, the layer was still not rendering. I think I have exhausted all of the really simple solutions, nothing is solo'd, all the layers are visible in the preview, the layers are all in the correct order etc.. I can't SS the project right now as I am not at home, but i can tell you that I am working with CS5.5, on windows 8.1, i5 cpu, 8 gigs of ram. The really frustrating part is that a slightly earlier version of the project successfully rendered the adjustment layer and I don't remember changing anything major... Suggestions? Shots in the dark? Anything? I will post a SS later in the day. Thanks in advance to any and all who have advice.

Page canvast not visible

Hi all,
I have a small problem,
My page canvas is not visible on pages with a full page picture, the canvas falls behind the designs.
How can i bring the page canvas up front so my page numbers which are in the canvas will be visible again.?
Image: left page has the page number on the background, and right page is visible because there is no full size image on it.

@Martin – do you mean your page numbering is not visible due to the full page image?
That's a small "problem" with master spreads and master pages.
All objects on master pages that are stored on the same layer like the ones on regular pages are stacked behind that objects. Always.
To workaround this fact:
1. You need a new layer on top of all other layers, so create one
2. Go to the master page that is applied to the even page of your screenshot
3. Drag your object that is holding the automatic page numbering to that new top most layer
If you want a bit of flexibility, create a new master spread with only your object holding the automatic page numbering and apply this to the desired pages.

Flagging messages as "Not Visible"

Hi All,
When monitoring JMS destinations, you can see messsages waiting for delivery. You can even take a look at the message content. In the "WebLogic Advanced Admin" course, they say "Developer can flag sensitive messages as not visible". Can you please provide a little code sample explaining how it's done?

I think all you may need to do is setup general "browse" restrictions on the queue itself. It may also be possible to set restrictive security permissions on the specific mbean calls that the console uses to view the messages. I've appended some notes that might help. While these notes are focused more on reducing restrictions rather than increasing them, I assume the general steps apply either way.

Message Management (JMSDestinationRuntimeMBean and JMSDurableSubscriberRuntimeMBean)
By default, only an administrator can view messages and their contents on the console (because the console uses mbean invocation APIs to view the messages, which require admin privileges).
The security settings of a protected destination (one with a role requirement for browse, send, or receive) also apply. This means that one would need both the admin role, plus the role configured for the destination. The following is a list of operations that extra security checking is performed at the JMS layer besides necessary MBean level security checking.
getMessage/getMessages: Browse permission
moveMessages (from one destination to another): Browse and Receive permission
deleteMessages: Receive permission
ImportMessages: Send permission
If you need finer grained security for queue message management (but not topics), then one option is use a tool that uses standard javax.jms API calls to view messages instead of mbean APIs -- in which case security checks are based on the arbitrary required roles that you've (optionally) configured on the destinations. One such tool might be "HermesJMS".
Another option is to lower the security requirements on the JMSDestinationRuntime mbean. Be careful, because the message management functions can not only simply view the messages, they also may be able to delete or move messages. Steps:
1. In the left pane, select Security Realm.
2. Select myrealm.
3. In Configuration tab, check Use Authorization Providers to Protect JMX Access, click save and then activate changes.
4. Restart the server.
5. In the left pane, select Security Realm.
6. Select myrealm.
7. Go to Users and Groups.
8. In users, create a new user say queueuser, add it to group Monitors
9. Adding it to group Monitors:
a. Select myrealm.
b. Select Users and Groups.
c. Click on user name, in right pane select Groups.
d. From Parent Groups, select monitors, click arrow pointing right side.
10. Go to Roles and Policies - > Realm Policies
11. In Policy table, select JMX Policy Editor.
12. Select Global Scope, click next.
13. From MBean Types, select weblogic.management.runtime
14. Select JMSDestinationRuntimeMBean click next.
15. In Attributes and Operations, select Operations: Permission to Invoke.
16. Click on Create Policy button and save
17. Click on Add Condition, Select Group in Predicate List, click next, type Monitors, say add. Click Finish.

Illustrator CS6 - hard to toggle layer lock/visibility

Just wondering if anyone else is finding it more difficult to toggle the layer lock/visibility in CS6 than in the earlier versions.
It seems that there's more padding around the lock/visibility icon, and you have to be really precise to click it... increasing the row size doesn't really make any difference, as the "padding" is still there. Wheres in the earlier versions clicking anywhere within the toggle box would enable/disable it.

Yes I've seen this. But it's not related to precision here. It's a matter of double-clicks. The toggles don't respond well when you click more than once in the same location. You may find if you click... click somewhere else... then click the original location again it works better. This seems to be true for not only the Layers Panel, but also the Appearance Panel.
I have filed this as a bug. Hopefully it gets looked into soon.

External hard drive not visible in disk utility or finder

Hi all,
I have had a good look through previous discussions and I can't seem to find an issue relevant to mine.
My external hard drive has 2 partitions (1 time machine back up, 1 general hard drive). The issue is that the HD is running when it is plugged in however it is not visible in either disk utility or finder.
I am running OS X 10.10 (Yosemite) on a 2010 MacBook Pro. I also have parallels desktop running windows 7. When I boot windows and plug in the HD I usually get the option to mount the HD to either OS X or Windows. With this issue the option window appears for a split second (not enough time to select either) and then disappears. It seems that the HD may be ejecting itself as soon as it is registered by the computer. I have tried using a different power cable for the HD and also a different usb cable, this doesn't help.
The external HD is a Samsung D3 Station, which i have had for 6 months now and never had an issue with.
Any help is appreciated

An update for anyone who can help me:
I have tried the external hard drive in other computers (mac and windows), each time I get the same problem above.
I have removed the HD from the enclosure and purchased a docking station for it (3.5" SATA). When I plug it in to the laptop it disconnects itself straight away before it is visible. With the windows computers it installs the drivers and says that the device is ready to use, then disconnects before it shows up.
As the HD is not visible there is no option to re-format or anything.
This is very frustrating as I was using the HD with no issues and it randomly disconnected and I have not been able to access since.

He had recently upgraded from wht we now know is 18.0 to 18.1 which is the latest version. He read the above artic
le and supposed that it was a bug fix release for his version - because the v17 ov18 number is not often displayed. It is usually just 2014 CC.

IDOC not visible in IR but metadata successfully imported

Hi,
I have this wiered issue.
I want to import IDOC WPUSKR01 (cashier productivity) from BI.
But when I connect to BI system from IR to import Idoc structure, this IDOC is not visible.
But I can manually import the metadata from BI in idx2.
Now how to import this in IR?
I have imported other Idocs (like WPUBON) before and did the scenario successfully for BI.

In BI Tcode we82 I have manually added the entries for WPUKSR01. Now Idoc is visible when importing in IR.
I have checked all the segments in we31, they are all released.
But it gives error:
Error: IDoc type WPUKSR01 contains errors (unable to read segments)
Then, I checked in R/3, there also WPUKSR01 was not there in we82. I manually added there and I was successfully able to import it in IR.
But the same thing is failing in BI. I have SAPALL permissions in all the systems.
Can I use Idoc imported from R/3 in scenario for BI?

How can I add a device to my library? My e-reader is registered but not visible.

I use a Tolino Shine and can download E-Books via WLAN directly to it. I can also download the books to my netbook. However, when I plug the Tolino into my netbook it is not visible in the Adobe library and I cannot move books from the library to the Tolino.
I tried to reset the Tolino to the manufacturer settings. This did not improve the situation.
Any suggestions?

Reporting Flag is not visible in the manage screen

Hi BI Experts, Good morning.
We load the inventory data daily in the night time which is delta load.
5 days back, we got 0 records and the request is in red.Then i rerun the infopackage manually and got the total records in to the cube.
From that day onwards its running successfully.
Yesterday i deleted the bad request from infocube.
But the Reporting flag is not visible.
Today i didnot get the records.
Please can anyone tell me the process.

I tried to run it manually but it gives error.
The error message is:
Short text
    An exception occurred that was not caught.
What happened?
    The exception 'CX_RSR_X_MESSAGE' was raised, but it was not caught anywhere
     along
    the call hierarchy.
    Since exceptions represent error situations and this error was not
    adequately responded to, the running ABAP program 'SAPLRRMS' has to be
    terminated.
