Layer Resize Handles Missing

When I add a new layer even in a blank html page resize
handles don’t appear. I cannot move or resize any layers? Did
I turn something off? Another developer can see his but I cant see
mine.

Do me a favor, please -
Execute this series of steps on a new page, copy the code for
the page, and
paste it into a reply here.

  • Import settings pop up menu resize handle missing

    In the import window the pop up menu for import settings has the right side blocked and there is no way to resize it.

    Do you mean this menu?
    What do you mean by "right side blocked"? Is it off the screen?
    If that is the case, it  might be a problem of corrupted user preferences.
    Remove the Aperture's user preferences from the User Library as described here:
    Aperture 3: Troubleshooting Basics   http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3805
    Note:Your User Library is hidden by default in 10.7.x or later - to open it in a Finder window use the "Go" menu from the Finder's main menu bar.
    Quit Aperture, if it is running. Log off and on again.
    Open the user library by using the Finder's "Go > Go to Folder" menu and hold down the options-key, until "Library" appears in the drop down menu. Select it.
    In the widow that will open, scroll down to "Preferences"
    From the "Preferences" folder  remove "com.apple.Aperture.plist".
    Then try to launch Aperture again.
    But deleting the "Preferences" file will cause Aperture to forget the preferences settings. Be prepared to have to reset all options you set using the Aperture Preferences panel.

  • Missing resize handles fluid grid layout

    I have created a fluid grid layout and need to resize for tablet and desktop views but resize handles will not appear.  What did I do wrong?

    Go to View > Visual Aids > and enable Fluid Grid Layout Guides. However, if you tampered with the temperamental Fluid.css code, you probably broke the layout.  Try starting over.

  • Moving an image; where are resize handles?

    I'm moving (move tool) some significantly larger images into a smaller image. I remember watching a video some where that said if you hold down the ___ key, that you'll automatically get the resize handles. Anyone know what that key is?
    Also, is there a way to move the image in to the smaller image, and not have it be so huge, without having to change the resolution size before moving it? (Ideally I'd like to move the image in at about 1/20th the original size, making it fit into the 2nd image)
    Thanks!

    Hello!
    Hitting the V key will show you the transform controls, IF the relevant option is selected for the move tool in the option bar AND if View>View Extras (Command+H) is activated.
    Command+T will show you the transform handles, no matter what option is set for the move tool.
    I need more info for your second question: what are you trying to do? Do you do that on a routine basis?
    If yes, you could set up an action that moves the image to an other document (all depends how many images are open at a given time), then scales the newly pasted layer to 5% its original size.

  • Layer selection handles are not visible

    When creating a layer in DW 8 via the Insert > Layer
    Objects > Layer or by clicking on Draw Layer in the Layout tab
    in the Insert menu the Layer defaults to the width of my Design
    window. When I click on a Layer I cannot access any of the
    selection handles.
    Questions:
    1. How can I size a Layer to my liking instead of it always
    taking the width of my screen?
    2. What can I do so I can see eight selection handles when I
    click on a Layer?
    Thanks for looking.

    It sounds like you are looking at a <div> that is not a
    layer (it needs to
    be absolutely positioned to be a layer). Is that the case? If
    it is, then
    it SHOULD be the width of the screen, and it should have no
    resize handles.
    TO change the size you would need to edit the CSS.

  • Multiline textbox appears with a resize handle at runtime.

    Hi,
    I have a text area in a form, at runtime, i seem to get a resize handle which can be resized by the user. I would like to have
    the text area appear without this re-size handle.
    Anyone faced these kinds of issues? Any solutions ?

    maximumLength="#{bindings.YVWCoreReq.hints.precision}"
    shortDesc="#{bindings.CoreReq.hints.tooltip}" id="it8" readOnly="true"
    rows="3" contentStyle="resize: none;">
    <f:validator binding="#{bindings.YVWCoreReq.validator}"/>
    i get red cross marks at the top right corner of each of these boxes.
    using 11.1.1.6.0. I am not sure if i am doing any thing wrong here.

    i downoad free psd for logo website. when i want edit in photoshop. i just see the diaog box say some layer text contain are missing.
    1. why my layer text photoshop missing?
    2. where i can fine layer text to fix it?

    Just substitute the missing font for one of the installed fonts.  Or if you desperately want the text to look like your first saw it, hunt down the font and install it.  There are various sites that help locate a particular font like Myfonts Identifont Whatfontis

  • Xcode storyboard: no resize handles on text field

    Hi,
    I'm going through the "Start Developing iOS Apps Today" tutorial (https://developer.apple.com/library/ios/referencelibrary/GettingStarted/RoadMapi OS/index.html#//apple_ref/doc/uid/TP4001….  My first time through I didn't have this problem but now I do and can't find any info on why or how to resolve.
    When I drag a text field from the object library tot he storyboard, there are no resize handles on it.  I created a Jing screencast and uploaded it here:  http://screencast.com/t/tmZYug3yx
    I have uninstalled/reinstalled xcode and rebooted my machine.  I've tried control-click, option-click and cmd-click but I can't get resize handles to appear and can't find any other way to resize the object.  Nor can I find any option that might control whether or not resize handles should display.
    I would greatly appreciate any suggestions.
    Thanks,
    Ty Hallsted

    I don't know why you can't resize the text field when you select it, but you can resize the text field from the size inspector. In your screencast if you look at the right side of the window, you'll see a series of buttons at the top. Click the button that looks like a ruler to open the size inspector or choose View > Utilities > Show Size Inspector in Xcode.

  • I d i do not have resize handle or size slider at the bottom of my area showing all files

  • Why do some fluid divs not have resize handles?

    In DW 2014.1.1 if I create a new fluid layout the first div which is set up has fluid controls top right and resize handles, that's good. If I then add a nested fluid div in there that does also, no problem. But if I place the cursor outside the original div (but still contained in "gridContainer" div) and then create a fluid div, it doesn't have fluid controls at all and can't be resized. What's going on? How are we supposed to use the fluid grid feature now?
    There are also just so many other things broken with the live view and fluid grids even with this current update, it just doesn't work! Even the most basic things like copying in live view. Selecting a block of text and copying does nothing. Even copying using the context menu. If copying is only permitted after double-clicking to enter "edit" mode, why isn't "copy" greyed out in the context menu?
    (I could go on and on with all the problems of Live View and Fluid Grid, but I am not a beta tester. In fact I strongly object to having to pay a monthly subscription for the "privilege" of beta-testing Adobe products. The simple fact is Adobe deliberately broke it's fluid grid layout feature by removing Design View, without adequate testing, and cynically gave it to its customers to test. And this not even in a major version upgrade.)

  • The following layer dependencies are missing error

    I just downloaded adobe after effects and I got the following error:
    The following layer dependencies are missing century 751bt and font style semi bold.
    What will this affect and how can I get these layer dependencies?
    Thanks

    Same error - BUT - I have INDEED INSTALLED THE FONTS MENTIONED in BOTH the system/library/fonts folder as well as the "local" library/fonts folder.
    where on earth else are you supposed to install a font for this to work? I use expensive purchased templates that come with all associated fonts necessary. For years in Motion it was as simple as "put the new fonts in the fonts folders".
    I can't use the substitutions font -- are global through many aspects of industry artwork and other graphic design and logos currently being worked on in other departments.

  • Navigation Pane will not expand (right-hand vertical resize handle disappears)

    Navigation Pane will not expand (right-hand vertical resize handle disappears)
    We have confirmed this is present in both Access 2007 and Access 2010.
    Recreate:
    If a user drags the naviagtion bar right hand side resize vertical handle so the only the "All.." is displayed in the top of the navigation bar title and releases the mouse button, the resize handle disappears.
    Resolution:
    It seems the only way to resolve the issue is to restart Access.
    The same action is not apparent in other MS office applications (eg Outlook).   Is this a known bug ?  Is there a workaround or hotfix ?
    I have found only one other reference to this:
    http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/accessdev/thread/fac92f2a-f0f3-4739-a576-f23dfb75cdb8
    Thanks for any feedback.
    David

    Another way (F11 and Search Bar workarounds didn't work for me) ... save in Access 2002/2003 (mdb) format, close.  Open in Access 2002/2003 (mdb), I could "find" the grab bar and expand the navigation bar.  Save in Access 2007/2013
    format.  Open in Access 2007/2013 format - the bar stayed expanded.  Your mileage may vary.

  • Bug in layer resize.

    I reported a bug today I feel could do some nasty thing to document when you use resize() to re-size a layer. Particularly if you have used suspend history.  It looks like resize for some unknown reason backs the document up one history state before doing the re-size.  I have tested this in CS5, CS6, CC and CC 2014 all fail the same way. Nasty Nasty...
    I can program around that bug if history states are being recorded for the script.  However I like to suspend history state recording in scripts so that its easy to back up in history after the script is used if need be.
    However that bug can destroy the document and also remove prior history states in so that its impossible to recover the document from history for prior state has been replaced with the recording of the use of the script. How many states are removed would depend on how many .resize(); the script did. Nasty Nasty.
    Here are some screen of the bug in action. The fist before and after look the way the script is designed to work. However I did an extra select all before using the script. You see its no longer in history in the after.
    The second before and after same as first without the extra select all note a guide line has been removed.
    In the third before and after I changer the order of my of steps before the script I first drag out the guides then place in the image.  You see that the image has been removed the wrong layer has been resized and the place removed from history.  Nasty Nasty.
    The script works when history is not suspended for I programmed the script to work around the bug... http://www.mouseprints.net/old/dpr/FitImageToGuides.jsx

    Yes I tested CS5 its there.  I never install CS4 and lost my CS3 because of disk drive crashes.  Did not test CS2 for CS2 selection bounds does not work and I would need to add my work around for that bug.
    I only have two machine on my I7 Windows 7 system I have perpetual CS5 and CS6 installed and on my workstation also Windows 7 I've installed my subscription versions along with CS2.  There are differences between CS6 13.0.1.3 and subscription version 13.1.2.  Adobe seems to have given up on being backwards compatible starting with CS4.   Even Bill Gate's realized Bugs were bad for business has them exterminated Adobe does not seem to accept that bug are bad for business. So now I have CS2, CS5, CS6, CS6 CC and CC 2014.  I use file system links to add plug-in and script so all installed versions us the single copy of the add-ons I install.

  • Adding resize handles to a rectangle to resize and drag in a canvas

    Hi
    I am having difficulty for the last couple days in getting a rectangle in java 2d to addshape handles to the corners which will allow me to resized the rectangle and then and dragged within the canvas using these handles. Also to get the shape on the canvas I will be clicking a button for the shape Rectangle to appear on the canvas in the first instance. I do not understand where I am going wrong.
    I am using the format of g2D.drawRect(10,10,50,50 ) for example to demonstrate my shape.
    Thanks in advance

    Search for
    draggable tjacobs01
    and
    resizeable tjacobs01
    these are my classes for doing what you're talking about. They work on components so you'll either have to switch your rectangles to components or adapt this code to non-component objects. It becomes more tricky because of the mouselistening.
    usage:
    Component c = ...
    new Draggable(c);
    new Resizeable(c);
    parent.add(c);

  • File Handling missing from Import on MacBook Air?

    Hi. I have the latest version of Lightroom on my PC and also my MacBook Air. The PC one is fine. However on the MacBook Air there is a problem with the IMPORT function. File Handling isn't displayed so I can't do such things as smart previews, make a second copy etc. That whole section is totally missing. I am on the Cloud version and have the latest 5.6 installed. Should I reinstall it again or is there some setting I am missing? I have searched all the menus to no avail. Regards Carol

    Hi. I put this post in while waiting for customer support. The problem has been solved. Control click with the mouse in the right side blank area of the import window but up the selections that are available. I selected File Handling and it has now appeared. I hope this information helps someone else. regards Carol
