LayerCake elements use with PS Elements 11?
I am trying to use the plug-in LayerCake elements, within PS Elements 11 but don't know how to use to activate the the plug in so that I can drag an image off the LayerCake sheet of images onto a photo image I have brought up in PS Elements 11. I would be grateful for any advise... Thanks!
It's not a plugin, just a sheet of images, basically. You open the layercake image you want to use and also open your photo in PSE. It's going to be easier to do this if you first go to the editor preferences>general and turn on Allow Floating Documents, then window>float all in windows. Now open the two images and position them so you can see both of them. Make the layercake image the active one, then drag the layer you want from its layers panel into the main image window of your photo, or just copy/paste it. (They say in the compatibility section that the actions don't work with PSE.)

Well, they are separate programs. Not sure what specifically you are looking for. Of course PS CS5 can function as an advanced editor for images, but beyond that they don't interact.

Andrew, I know I am extremely late to the party but I too use Grid View. I had the same problem that you had but have found this to work for me. I used it and it is still holding as my default sorting even after switching between the Artist page and Grid View.
Once you are inside of the Artist page continue to click on the Album column until it shows Album by Artist/Year.
That will give you each album sorted by the year instead of it randomly sorting it for you each time you leave an Artist's page and then back again.

Best speed External Hard Drive to use with Final Cut Pro X ?
Hey all
I'm looking at getting a new USB 2.0 external hard drive to use with FCPX, I was wondering what everyones thoughts were on minimum speeds and what everyone else uses.
I am looking at least 1-2TB.I will warn you now that I am somewhat of a lone voice on these forums for recommending USB 2.0s.
I have used the 7,200rpm types with their own mains supply over the last 6 years (and exclusively for the last 3) and had no problems of any kind.
Having said that I am not a pro with tight schedules (or underwear!) but I have used DV, HDV, AVCHD with and without ProRes and AIC.
Most of my projects are short though I have done a number of 2 hour projects with comparatively simple editing and a few effects etc. One ongoing project has some 12 hours of DV which I dip into occasionally.
I have a couple of LaCie FW HDs which I stopped using a couple of years ago in favour of the much cheaper USB 2.0s and didn't notice any difference, though as I said I don't have pro time constraints.
Now is not the best time to buy HDs cheaply as the autumn floods in Asia knocked out many of the main suppliers, prices doubled overnight and have still not got back to last summers figures (2TB WD Essential £69 with free delivery).
Look at the price now!

I suspect that may be the best answer I am likely to get but have not marked the question as answered just in case someone else can add anything.
Your suggestion does work. I changed JPEG, TIFF and PSD to Photoshop CS3.
The only (quite major) snag is that if I am using Elements and double-click a photo, it opens Photoshop CS3.
This wouldn't matter if I was just using PS exclusively but I also want to use PSE at times.
Looks as though I had better just leave them with their own versions of Bridge. -

Then iterate over the results of this in Java and do a string 'contains' method call on the long field as by then it is of type string. If it does contain the filtered string add it to your result.
If there are many records this could become quite a slow service. -

This will serve as my main editing device until I upgrade my desktop, then serve as a portable editing station as I will be at uni next year as well as traveling a lot this year. I do a mix of animation and live action short film work using 1080p footage from my Canon 600D. I am currently looking at the £500 mark, I know it's tough to get a good editing laptop at that price, but I'd rather not spend much more. I have been given permission for unlocking my iphone 3 GS from Orange. I want to set up the phone for my wife to use with a new number and carrier. Do I unlock under my itunes account first ( I now have a new iphone on this account) or set one up for her and then unlock the phone. I am worried about upsetting the new phone.
I would complete unlocking as is and then
restore as new once you know the iPhone is unlocked

I have IMac OSX 10.9.4, 4GB,Processor 3.06 with Intell2Duo. I would like to check for Malware. I run a TechTool Pro 6 every month and that comes up great.
When check how much memory I am using, with only Safari open I am using 3.9 and more of her 4.0 memory. She is very. very slow in processing. I had 4000
trash to clean out and it took her over an hour to expel. Also for some reason Safari will not allow me to click on a link, in my G-mail, and let it go to the page.
It has a sign saying a pop-up blocker is on and will not let me do it. I must open the stamp to look at my e-mails and if I have redirected link now I can do it.
I have not changed my preferences so where is this pop-up blocker?
I have looked at preferences on Safari and Google, which I do not understand Google, and do not see where this blocker could be.
Malware is something I want to make sure is not on my computer. Tech Tool Pro 6 is all I know of and it does not detect Malware.

When i used with FireFox browse after i create new user

thanksIf you restrict the selection, a record value outside of that selection is not acceptable and will give you this error. This is how BPS works.
You need to restrict on some other char so BASIC1 doesn't come in, but this value should be part of any selection on ZSEGMENT field for it to be accepted back.
