Layers are locked & greyed out when trying to unlock them/add a layer, how can I fix this?

Whenever I try to add a layer it won't allow me to do such and is greyed out. I looked further into it and it mentioned it was locked and now I can't unlock it. Help?

The image seems to be Indexed Color (Image > Mode > …) and not all Color Modes support Layers.

You make an appointment at the genius bar of your local Apple Store and get it serviced/replaced. You broke it. If you can't even force a reboot, there's nothing much more you can do.

When I try to burn a play list to a CD some of the songs are grayed out and then not burned to the disc. How can I fix this problem?

why are some of the songs on the play list I am trying to burn to a CD "grayed out" when I start burning the CD and there for not included in the finished CD? How can I fix this problem. Btw, I have been using iTunes for years and this problem just came up quite recently. Thanks

If this is happening with one or two specific sites, those site may have been hacked, or they may simply be bad sites.

Im getting Error (-9808) when I try to purchase a song. How can I fix this

Each time I go into the Itunes store, I can navigate around the store with no problem. However, once I try to make a purchase and enter my login info, I get the message: "We could not complete your ITunes Store request. An unknown error occurred (-9808). There was an unknown error in the ITunes Store. Please Try Again Later." I have been "trying again" for 2 weeks. How can I fix this?

The basic calendar data transfer is OK but the birthdays (little box icon) are a day early & cannot be changed to the correct date. The birthday entries in my Outlook contacts have correct dates.How can I fix this?

The following peocess corrects the calendar entry:
edit the contact & change the birthday, save the change; edit the contact & change the birthday to the correct value, save the change again. The calendar entry then displays on the correct date. Alternatively as a temp solution I can just de-select the "birthdays" calendar which stops the icon being displayed.
Thanks for your advice, I think that it's n going to be a slow process to fix all the entries for not much return.

My internet is only connecting when the time capsule is performing a backup how can I fix this? I use the wireless for my computer and not connecting is frustrating.

That is a weird one.. never heard of it drop out except doing backups.
Reset the TC to factory settings.
The Factory Reset universal
Unplug your TC/AE. Hold in reset. and power the TC/AE back on.. all without releasing reset and keep holding in for about 10sec. The time is not important.. it is the front LED rapid flashing that indicates you are in factory mode.
Release reset.
If it doesn’t flash rapidly you have released reset at some point and try again.
Be Gentle! Feel the switch click on. It has a positive feel.. add no more pressure after that.
TC/AE will reboot after a couple of minutes with default factory settings and will wipe out previous configurations.
No files are deleted on the hard disk.. No reset of the TC deletes files.. to do that you use erase from the airport utility.
Redo the setup with all short names no spaces and pure alphanumeric.
It should then work fine.. but I need more info if you still have problems.
What modem? Is it a router?
How is the TC connected?
Is the computer running Mavericks?
