Layers reveal all function

I have for many years used this funktion to blend 2 pictures into each other, so they just fade into each other. This was working by using the tool: LAYER - ADD LAYER MASK - REVEAL ALL.
After that I could use my Gradient tool and make the Gradient I liked.
But suddenly nothing happends hmm...
I still work in an old version Photoshop 7 but it should work here too I guess.
Please tell me if the function was changed to work differently.

Is your gradient tool set to another blend mode? You might try resetting the tool per the FAQ: http://www.adobeforums.com/webx/.59b51428/2

I would like to have the option on export maintain the full file, so that if my client or O chooses to reveal all in PS, so that you can re-crop or show all. This would be part of the non destructive editing. I would like to see this feature in both lightroom and the ACR for CS3.

I *think* you can already do this on an image-by-image basis by selecting a history state before the crop and exporting from there. I haven't tried it, however.

When using crop tool reveal all doesn't work

I am using Photoshop CS3 on an intel mac with Leopard installed. When I use the crop tool on my layers with hide selected, make my selection and accept it everything looks fine, when I go back to Reveal All, my background layer remains cropped. I have reset my preferences, which did not work and have uninstalled & re-installed CS3 to no avail. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That happens if you have a Background Layer.
Double-click to turn the Background Layer into an ordinary layer and then Crop.
"Reveal All" should then work as advertised.

Hi Vishal,
I'll try to answer your questions as best I can.
1) It is definitely possible to preload data to the 32MB memory (per group) and start the acquisition after you have preloaded the memory. There are example programs on ni.com/support under Example Code for pattern generation and the 6534 that demonstrate which functions to use for this. Also, if your PC memory buffer is less than 32MB, it will automatically be loaded to the card. If you are in continuous mode however, you can choose to loop using the on-board memory or you can constantly be reading the PC memory buffer as you update it with your application environment.
2) Yes, your data will automatically be loaded into the card's onboard memory. It will however be transferred as quickly as possible to the DMA FIFO on the card and then transferred to the PC memory buffer through DMA. It is not going to wait until the whole onboard memory is filled before it transfers. It will transfer throughout the acquisition process.
3) Vishal, searching the example programs will give you many of the details of programming this type of application. I don't know you application software so I can't give you the exact functions but it is easiest to look at the examples on the net (or the shipping examples with your software). Now if you are acquiring 512 bytes of data, you will start to fill your onboard memory and at the same time, data will be sent to the DMA FIFO. When the FIFO is ready to send data to the PC memory buffer, it will (the exact algorithm is dependent on many things regarding how large the DMA packet is etc.).
4) If I understand you correctly, you want to know if you waste the other 6 bits if you only need to acquire on 10 lines. The answer to this is Yes. Although you are only acquiring 10 bits, it is acquired as a complete word (16bits) and packed and sent using DMA. You application software (NI-DAQ driver) will filter out the last 6 bits of non-data.

As a test launch iPhoto with the Option key held down and create a new, test library. Import some photos and test to see if the same problem persists. Does it?
If it doesn't your current library is damaged and needs repairing. Apply the two fixes below in order as needed:
Fix #1
Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
Since only one option can be run at a time start
with Option #4 and then #1 as needed.

Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
1 - download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
2 - click on the Add Library button, navigate to your Home/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
3 - Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File ➙ Rebuild Library menu option.
4 - In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
5 - Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments. However, books, calendars, cards and slideshows will be lost. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

you can create a script to select all invalid objects in those schemas Since Oracle 8 introduced NDS this approach has struck me as a trifle old fashioned. It's much simpler to loop round the query in PL/SQL and use EXECUTE IMMEDIATE to fire off the DDL statements. No scripts, no muss, no fuss.
Having said that, the problem with this approach and also with using DBMS_UTILITY.COMPILE_SCHEMA is that they do not compile all the invalid objects in dependency order. This may result in programs being invalidated by the subsequent compilation of dependencies. This is due to the introduction of Java into the database.
The UTLRP script is much better, because it (usually) avoids cyclic references. But you still may need to run it more than once.
In general it is better to avoid sledgehammer recompilations (like DBMS_UTILITY.COMPILE_SCHEMA, which starts by invalidating all the objects). If we have twenty invalid objects, nineteen of which are dependencies of the twentieth, we actually only need to recompile the master object, as recompiling it will trigger the recompilation of all the others.

As Todd said, you can use user_arguments data dictionary or you can join user_objects and user_procedures like below to get the name of the packaged function and procedure names.
If you are looking for the packaged procedures and functions source then use user_source data dictionary

Try trash the com.apple.iPhoto.plist file from the HD/Users/ Your Name / library / preferences folder.
(On 10.7: Hold the option (or alt) key while clicking on the Go menu in Finder to access the User Library)
(Remember you'll need to reset your User options afterwards. These include minor settings like the window colour and so on. Note: If you've moved your library you'll need to point iPhoto at it again.)
What's the plist file?
For new users: Every application on your Mac has an accompanying plist file. It records certain User choices. For instance, in your favourite Word Processor it remembers your choice of Default Font, on your Web Browser is remembers things like your choice of Home Page. It even recalls what windows you had open last if your app allows you to pick up from where you left off last. The iPhoto plist file remembers things like the location of the Library, your choice of background colour, whether you are running a Referenced or Managed Library, what preferences you have for autosplitting events and so on. Trashing the plist file forces the app to generate a new one on the next launch, and this restores things to the Factory Defaults. Hence, if you've changed any of these things you'll need to reset them. If you haven't, then no bother. Trashing the plist file is Mac troubleshooting 101.

I have discovered however that if a procedure has been overloaded with function will appear twice: as procedure and as a function
I was wondering if there was any workaround for this as I would only like a function to be displayed once?

There is an 'OVERLOAD' column which can be used to show only specific overloads (e.g. first).
Determining which overload should be displayed in any given case may require some more thought.

Disable find all function

I had an instructor of a class come up to me with an issue with his students(they found a easy way to cheat). Students should have the ability to search within a document for their answer, however with as many PDFs we have, they need to know which document to search for the right answer. Now they are just using ctrl+shift+F and searching every document, also getting wildly crazy answers from the wrong PDF. Is there a way to disable to find all function while still keeping the find function for each individual document?

What you can do is convert the pages to image files, then create new PDFs from those image files and not run Text Recognition on them.
The Find function will be useless on these new files.

Step 1: Turn off the iPhone. To do this press and hold the power button till you see the “Slide to Power off” screen. Now slide the button to turn it off.

Can't find DAQmx on All Function palettes

in the LabView 7 Express manual, it says that NI-DAQmx can be located by clicking on:
-Functions
-All Functions
-NI Measurements
-DAQmx
my question is, i don't even see All Functions and as a result cannot locate DAQmx. i've been trying to locate it on the Functions palette. i'm i looking in the wrong place?

I'm not sure what might be happening. The All Functions palette is the bottome right palette on the Function Palette. If that isn't showing up then I'm not sure what is going on. You might need to reinstall LV. I have attatched a screenshot of where you can find the "All Functions" palette. If it isn't there send a screenshot of your functions palette and I might be able to figure out what is going on.

Curve 8330 all functionality lost on keypad and track-ball

after my blackberry boots up i lose all functions with all buttons i tried to redownload software now its stuck on license agreement page. i get phone calls and messages still but i cannot answer or recieve either of them due to this, any suggestions please?

Yes this is completely normal, the track ball has to be fairly loose to allow movement without any catching or need to use pressure, the keypad is slightly lose purely because this is how the phone is built, however it does not in any way affect the stability or performance of the phone.
