Layout and file description doesnot match

In Profit center planning,
When I am press the overview button after entering the account numbers , version and all other details in the selection criteria,
Then I get this error
Layout and file description doesnot match. I went back and I deleted the file name in the file column and I am getting the same error.

Hi GB,
For Planning Data Upload if Excel Integrated Planning is activated, system will generate the File Description. and system will take you to Excel where in you will save the Generic File name. (at the time of config).
Suppose if you have saved that Generic File to be "Planning1", the file name should be maintained in the same format when you upload the Planning Data. You can maintain your File Name to be Planning2 Planning3 etc (in text format).

Remove the .layout and .lay files

When burning a DVD I was told this:
1) Use DVDSP to build AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS folders to the hard drive.
2) Remove the .layout and .lay files from the VIDEO_TS folder.
3) Burn with Toast at 1X (make sure to delete the .DS Store files in Toast - There is one at the root level of the disc and 1 in the VIDEO_TS folder)
I was just curious,
1. what are the .layout and .lay files
2. How important is it to remove them?
3. What advantage do you gain by removing them?

These two files are used by DVDSP when you burn a disc from there, or build your project to your hard drive as a disc image. They contain the layout information for when the files in your project are written to the disc itself.
They have no business being in a VIDEO_TS folder and anecdotally have shown to cause errors on some players if they are left in place. When you burn from DVDSP they are automatically removed as part of that process.
Removing them manually when burning with Toast, therefore, helps improve compatibility of your DVD-R when you attempt to play it on a set top player.

2008 1099 forms and file layout

Has anyone heard anything from SAP on new file layout and forms for 2008 1099 reporting? Note 1249174 states it is available 1st week in Dec.

I attempted to implement the note via SNOTE. I get the message 'cannot be implemented' probably because the attachment is a zipped file and not an R/3 object of some sort. I then downloaded the zip file to my desktop. The zip file contains two .p6b files. What txn do you use to import the files? SMARTFORMS?

Custom Page layout and related tmp files causing issues

Hello,
I am trying to create custom page layouts using Design Manager and then editing the html file using a text editor.
I have created a content type (inherited from Page content type) and used this content type for my page layout. I used the snippet manager to add relevant webpart zones and snippets I needed and published the page layout. Under status it shows conversion
successful but I can see another file with similar name to my page laout but with ~RF119c862.TMP being created.
Even if I publish my page layout my webparts (via snippets I added) doesn't reflect in the page. I checked the preview of my page layouts and webparts appear when it is in draft mode but the moment I publish it loses all snippets (webparts).
I checked the html even after the page layout is published and I can see all webpart zones, my divs and snippet code there, somehow once I publish it the corresponding aspx page doesn't get updated.
Has anybody come across this before, I'm trying this on Office 365 tenant site.

I have seen a similar problem on-prem when a client had distributed cache misconfigured, but as your problem is with SPO, I doubt that is the problem.
Try creating another page layout but keep its associated content type untouched. Try adding snippets and such, publish and see what happens. If that works, then there must be something wrong with your custom content type.
Also, when you save a change to your .html page layout, open its associated aspx page layout in SPD and see if your changes were reflected there as well. As soon as your edit a html page layout and save your changes, SharePoint should automatically update
your aspx page layout right away.

It will be compatible in that iTunes Match will look at your computers Apple Lossless versions, and will then send AAC 256Kbps versions to your iPad. It will not send Apple Lossless copies to your iPad (or even another computer). AAC 256Kbps versions are fine for an iPad and Apple Lossless versions would very rapidly completely fill an iPad.

I have created a fixed layout epub file. I've viewed this in Indian iPad it disply seems good, but the same epub file i've viewed by German iPad its display vary. I dont know why this displays vary on iPad. This is iPad problem or iPad settings vary on different countries.

File Description Error while running GLPLUP

Hi,
We are trying to upload planning data using transaction GLPLUP . But its giving a File Decsription not maintained error even though we are able to see the same in F4 help. Any clue as to how to resolve the same.

Hi,
In order to use GLPLUP first of all a planning layout needs to be created which has the charateristics and key figures exactly matching with the excel file. For example Company code, GL Account and Profit Center as characteristics and amount in local currency as key figure.
This planning layout needs to be entered into a planner profile. Standard profile can be copied and then the totals table (for example FLGLFLEXT) where the planning figures are going to be uploaded is mentioned in the planner profile.
Before using the t-code GLPLUP the planner profile is entered. This way the system will know that the excel file format is the same as that in the planner profile entered. If the format does not match it will issue an error message.

Next upload the data.
Detailed Steps
Identify or Create planning layout.
Identify an existing standard layout or else
Create planning layout through KP65 (you can also copy a standard and modify it)
Identify or Create planning profile.
Go to SPRO>Controlling>Cost Center Accounting >Planning>Manual Planning>Define user defined Planning Profiles.
Create a new Profile. You will see nodes or folders on the left indicating General Controlling>Layouts for controlling> and Default parameters.
<b>Choose the layout for controlling and enter the layout you chose in earlier step.
Enable Integrated excel checkbox and overview (everything you can)
Next, select the layout and double click on default parameters.</b>
Enter a test data with cost center, elements, period, version, year. and save all. You may want to save the file as a model in your desktop with a different name say CCAPlan.csv. (You will notice, as you come out a new file description field that was blank earlier is now populated with a name like 01_1P1_(layout name)XXXXXX_Profile Name (XXXXX)
Come out of the screens.
Go to KP06, extras. excel upload via extras. or KE13

KEPM - Delete file description

I'm trying to upload a file, but in KE13N says that description doesn't exist, when I saved it from KEPM before uploading.
Anyone knows how to delete that description?? I wanna start the proccess again to avoid possible mistakes.

You execute the Planning Method, it would take you to the Excel front end. There Click on Setting
->Formatting
It would give the file name " " has been Generated. Now you can see
Generic File
Save the file description
Save excel layout.
If you want to change the file description, provide the name in Generic File, and then click Save the file description, you can have the new file description that you can provide in KE13n.

Taking Ownership of folders and files

So I am doing what sure seems like way too much work to do something rather simple in GUI. There seem to be many topics on this and I base my code off of their results, but it isn't working entirely. Hopefully an easy one for you folks! I am trying
to take ownership of a path, be it a file or folder. I DO NOT want to use a separate module like PSCX as not all machines will have the module.
I created a function based off the code I found at the end of

Here is the end result. I am looking to add a '-Recurse'/'-Force' switches to give another option to not have to Get-ChildItem and pipe it to the function and possibly a '-User' parameter to be able to specify who to set as owner, but both of those ideas
are untested.

Can't read or write some files, internet is failing, youtube won't load, software I tried to install was in Slovenian, not dutch or english like in my systempreferences settings, pictures and files won't preview with spacebar, etc. Malware?

iMac 10.8.5
3,4 GHz Intel Core i7
32 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Can't read or write some files, internet is failing, youtube won't load, security software I tried to install was in Slovenian, not dutch or english like in my systempreferences settings, pictures and files won't preview with spacebar and are randomly corrupted, when I entered something in the Youtube searchbar (when it was still working) it send me to a site with sexadds.
I tried restart my iMac and when I was logged back in, my dock preferences were reset.
Also tried to download some security software to check my Mac for malware, but when I did, I tried several, I got a notification that said something like 'dumpfiles (don't know if this is the right translation...) damaged'.
I'm taking screenshots from all the weird notifications I get and even three quarters off the screenshots I took in the last three hours are already unreadable.
It started this morning when I tried opening a Premiere Pro file on which I worked the night before.
When I tried opening it, it said the file was damaged and could not be openend.
I tried opening it with AE or importing the file in a new project but nothing helped.
When I tried looking for autosaves, this is the really weird part, there were none.
Even though there are autosaves from my other projects, this one was completely gone.
It looked like the day before never happened on my computer.
Also when I openend Premiere all the recent projects had been wiped.
So at first I thought it was a Premiere Pro failure.
But than, later on the day, I tried loading some RAW files from my compact flash card.
This is where I would get an error (error -36) which said some data cannot be read or written.
I tried importing the files with a view different technics, from dragging to importing via Lightroom and I succeeded with Image Browser.
But when I tried moving the files to an other folder the same error occurred.
While dealing with this issue I wanted to put on some soothing music on youtube.
This is when the next weird thing occurred: youtube wasn't completely loading in Chrome. I refreshed a view times, checked the internet connection and still no difference.
When I tried in Safari it did work but when I clicked enter on the searchbar in Youtube, a page with sexadds appeared (I didn't install AdBlock in Safari...).
I read about this 'phishing' where you are redirected to a site were a possible malware installment can take place...
I don't know if it's connected to any of the problems I've been having but I just never experienced this on a mac, I have been a Mac user for 10 years now.
On top of it all, internet started working worse and worse and now it's not even working at all. I had to fill in the password over and over, normally it remembers.
Just like my system preferences, all the preferences I had with Chrome where also reset.
Also somewhere in between I got this notification: Mac OS X must restore library to run programs. Type your password to allow.
To me this is all very weird and suspicious. I have clearly no idea what's going on. Could this be another sort of trojan horse or malware?
Some background info which could be helpful for solving this mystery:
two months ago the one year old Fusion Drive in my iMac just broke out of nowhere.
I got it replaced by a qualified apple repair store.
When I got my computer back, all the files where gone.
I got on the internet without AdBlock installed yet.
A game or whatever it was, can't clearly remember, got installed by accident.
I deleted it immediately.
Only two weeks later, I couldn't log in to my account. It didn't recognize my password and username.
So I brought my mac back to the store.
Here the repair guy said it was a minor thing and he just needed to reconnect my account. He also mentioned he found a downloaded game name Sparta and it probably had something to do with the error.
I asked him; could it be a virus? He replied no way.
I don't know why I couldn't be a virus, just because it's a mac doesn't mean it cannot be done.
So today I tried installing anti virus software (such as avast- was in a weird language looked like slovenian, clamxav - was in slovenian) but I couldn't install them.
PLEASE help me! I don't know what to do anymore, I work fulltime and I need my computer, I have no time to bring it in for repair, are there other perhaps easier ways?
Could this be the work of a virus or a malware? Or is it a disk permissions issue?

It sounds like you may have multiple problems, but none of them are likely to be caused by malware.
First, the internet-related issues may be related to adware or a network compromise. I tend to lean more towards the latter, based on your description of the problem. See:

If investigation shows that this is not a network-specific issue, then it's probably adware. See my Adware Removal Guide for help finding and removing it. Note that you mention AdBlock as if it should have prevented this, but it's important to understand that ad blockers do not protect you against adware in any way. Neither would any kind of anti-virus software, which often doesn't detect adware.
As for the other issues, it sounds like you've got some serious corruption. I would be inclined to say it sounds like a failing drive, except it sounds like you just got it replaced. How did you get all your files back after the new drive was installed?

Can I mix Pages page layout and word processing together in one document?

Hello there ! I am quite new to Pages and I am desperate to learn as i want to get rid of everything being Microsoft
As you all know when you open Pages you can choose between page layout and word processing !
the thing is i thought that after using a page layout you could just go with word processing easily... well no, you can't, but i'm sure i'm missing something...
For exemple i really like the catalogue brochure and it would be perfect for me to start a project... but after a few pages, i can just add blank pages and if i want to type text, i have to add text boxes... i don't want that, I want word processing... and another thing in this brochure i can't add table of content because it is not by default in the template...
So my question is quite basic here, can we link Page layout and word processing without having to use text boxes and everything ?

Welcome to Apple discussions.
The simple answer is no. What differentiates page layout from word processing mode is that the PL mode has no text layer. So everything that goes on the page must be an object of some kind. And any pages you add to a PL document must also be PL. You can't mix the two modes. One way around it is to start with a blank page, insert a text box, then stretch the box so that it covers the entire page. You can the type in it as if it were a text layer in a WP file. You can even capture that page so that you can add it automatically when you need it, or save it as a template.
As for building a Table of Contents, it appears that Pages only sees text styles that are on the text layer, which means it won't see styles that are in objects -- which means it won't work with a PL document. From being a long-time reader of this discussion group, I've noticed it's rare that someone wants to add a ToC to a PL document.
If you find that you're going to be mixing text and graphics, start with a word processing template. If you really like the Catalog Brochure, you could always copy some or all of its elements over to a blank WP template.

Can I sync contacts and calendars with iTunes Match enabled?

I’m getting an iPhone in a couple of weeks and really want iTunes match but the more I read about it the more I’m wondering whether it’ll be worth the hassle. I’ve loads of old CD rips at 128 kbps and protected iTunes files, also at 128 kbps, and what really attracts me is the idea of upgrading all these to unprotected 256 kbps.
I have a Macbook for personal use and a PC for work, being able to sync both computers to the phone will be essential for me. I know that I wouldn’t be able to sync music with iTunes match enabled but if I can sync contacts and calendars and drag Office documents to the phone from both computers that would be OK.
Please could someone tell me whether this would be possible?

If it is possible for you to do so you might want to consider signing up for an iCloud account <http://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/pc.html>. Keep in mind that iCloud and iTunes Match are seperate services. One does not require the other. However iCloud will work with Outlook 2007 and up so you can keep all your contacts in sync across the devices. You can also sign up for iTunes Match if you want. Or you might even consider using Google to do what you want. It is not necessary for you to keep syncing via USB, unless that is just what you are comfortable doing.

AddOnsLocalRegistration.sbo file does not match data in the common datab...

We are receiving the following error everytime we logon our pc for the first time: Add-On Outlook_Integration: This Add-on cannot be upgraded. AddOnsLocalRegistration.sbo file does not match data in the common database for this add-on. See SAP Note 1323680 for more information.
A few months ago, SBO Server was moved from one server to a new virtual server, but we had no problems with the addons. The other day, we upgraded from SBO 2007 to 8.8 and now we are having problems with the Outlook Integration.
I have followed the directions in the message noted above, and did find the AddOnsLocalRegistration.sbo file in some odd places, with a reference to the old server. I cleaned this up, on the server and the client and I can get it running...however, after the user shuts down the pc and logs back in the next day, the problem is back.
In the process of cleaning this up (un-registering the addon and removing the addon references in the local .sbo file) I noticed at times that we would still receive this error, when there really shouldn't be an reference to it.

I guess you need a re installation of Outlook Integration Addon.
Whatever version addon of OI you installed just uninstall it and Install it freshly from 8.8 setup package......

Layout Par file name not appearing in list while creating new Layout

Hi
I downloaded com.sap.portal.layouts to modify the light_framework page to suit my needs, renamed it to com.mycomp.portal.layouts, modified the page, created a par file and uploaded it thru NWDS.
When I go to the portal to create a new Layout, I do not see my custom par file in the list.
I have even uploaded it from the portal: System Administration -> Support -> Support Desk -> Portal Runtime -> Administration Console -> Archive Uploader. Even after it was successful, I was not able to see the par file listed while creating a new Layout.
How do I get my Layout par file listed do i can create my Layout?

Hi Bala
I never had a problem with the JAR files in this par file while opening, nor did I have to manually add anything.
I know it has been successfully uploaded in the portal, as I can see my par file in the Archive Deployment Checker.
What could be wrong? Is there something else I have to put in the portalapp.xml to make it visible in the list?
