Layout: Deselecht the indicator user-specific

Hi,
I would like to save a layout and the only possibility that I have ist user-specific.(the field ist already select
wenn I call the layout)
How can I deselect the indicator user specific. All users of the list has to call the layout.
Thanks

Hi,
User specific layout usually starts without "/" ,if you want to make the layout defaul and will be accessible to all users then ,go to change layout ,add "/ " and make the layout as default.You can find layout management option in Select > Layout option,use the layout management to make any layout defualt in system.
Hope this will resolve your issue.

  • How to restrict users to not default layout while creating a user specific?

    Hi all,
               I have a problem with frequent changes in report layout setting. When users trying to create a user specific layout in the window "Default" is set, out of "User specific" & "default" checkbox defaultly, so users saving the layouts. so it's overwritting on existing layout. we are ossing the old data. how to restrict end users to create new one with out changing the existing one.How to change that default check in "Default" check box to user specific defaultly. where i have to do settings for this. Thanks in advance.

    Hi ,
    My problem is still not resolved. I tried applying the people picker property and set a specific field(an email id field) to be available to only admins. Now the field is not visible to the normal users but only admins which is good but that email field
    should be able to take normal users as wel as admin's email ID. currently due to the people picker property it only takes admin's ID and not normal user's ID - which is not as per expectation.
    What this email ID field does is - when a normal user is logged in he/she wont see this field in that view. But when an admin logs in he/she can switch to admin view and see this field . The admin can put any user's ID in this field and pull out the required
    resource's Time Report for modification.
    Please let me know how do i overcome my problem. Detailed step description will be very helpfull .
    As per Cameron's suggestion (add a rule on the "additional admin section") , i am not sure how exactly that is done. Would help a lot if i got to know how this works.

  • Multiple layouts for the same user in the same portal

    Hello.
    I have a challenge.
    Currently there is a portal (6.40) running as a frontend for an application. So the portal is used for only this purpose. The content is a changed masthead and a number of WebDynpros and UWL's all accessing the same backend.
    Now there is a wish to use the same portal to execute a transaction iView for the same backend. Simple. BUT when a user uses the portal for the product he/she shall not see the transaction iView and also when the user sees the transaction iView, the WDs and UWL's should not be shown in the navigation. And also the masthead should be different on the two views.
    Putting in another portal is not anoption, this should be done on the same portal. The way I expect it to work is by accessing the same portal og two different URL's.
    Companies cannot be used since some of the users should be able to access poth views.
    I know that in a prefect world it would simply be a matter of creating two different roles and assign them as needed and if the user has both roles hen they would both be available in the navigation. But to the user the portal should look like different portals.
    Any suggestions on how to achieve this functionality?
    Br,
    Thomas Mouritsen

    Hi Thomas,
    you have several options with the portal standard:
    1.) If the user only has one role assigned at a time you can attach the portal layout to the roles. So depending on the role the user has he sees the respective layout - BUT: how to asign the two roles to the user!? This can only be done by admins and I assume that it is no intended to call the admins every time the user needs the other role?
    2.) The entry to the portal is realized with different urls like http://yourportal.com/VIEW1 and http://yourportal.com/VIEW2.
    VIEW1 and VIEW2 are so called portal aliases and you can attach the different layouts to those aliases.
    BUT: the two roles have nothing to do with the aliases so you still have the problem of role assignment.
    3.) Each person gets two users with each user assigned to one role and one layout assigned to the user or group or role...
    Anyhow: I would ask the people who brought up the idea of two different layouts - WHY?? A portal is ONE single point of entry for EVERY application and information a user needs. So why two different layouts? And what, if five others are coming each bringing their own layouts, too?
    4.) If you really want to have different layouts each time a different top-level navigation point is active you have to program your own portal component. That would fit your needs but is besides standard.

  • Layout is it User-specific or Standard ?

    I have an ALV report that contains user specific layout and standard layout. My question is if user enters the layout name in the selection screen . i wanted to know whether the layout is user-specific or standard layout.
    How we can differentiate this ?

    Layouts can be saved for specific users or for all users.
    User-specific layouts are only visible to the users who have created them.
    Layouts for all users can be selected by all users. These layouts always start with a forward slash in the name (for example,  /Standard).
    The layouts are report-dependent and you can only create, change or delete them within the display of the respective ALV list. User-specific layouts can only be changed or deleted by the user who created them.
    To save layouts for all users, you need the authorization S_ALV_LAYO with activity 23 as of Release 4.6C. You can only go to the layout administration if you have this authorization.
    You must maintain the authorization object S_ALV_LAYO using the user administration.
    If you would like to use or save the Excel view in your layout, you also require the additional authorization S_BDS_DS with activity 01,02,03,06,30; CLASSNAME ALVLAYOUTTEMPLATES and CLASSTYPE OT.
    Furthermore, there are applications that have their own authorization checks installed.
    In some ALV lists, you can only save user-specific layouts. In these cases, the indicator "user-specific" is active , on a grey background and unable to be changed. This is related to the parameter I_SAVE. This controls which options you have to save the layout.
    To be able to define default layouts, the parameter I_DEFAULT must have the value 'X'.
    Notes 409190 and 601803 also provide further information on authorizations.
    For further details ..

  • User specific layout in product costing

    Hi gurus,
    I run report KKBC_ORD and set up specific layout.
    I cannot  save the same as global layout. Just as user-specific.

    Hello there,
    There is an indicator in the product cost controlling -> information
    system -> control parameters (OKN0) which allows shared layouts for
    PCP reports. Please check this IMG transaction to see if 'layout visibil
    ity is shared.  If it is shared, then you should be able to save a
    variant either for one user or all users.

  • Can't save ALV layout as user-specific

    Hi!
    Whenever I try to save an ALV layout the option User-specific is grayed out, so all variants will be public.
    Users would like to save their own layouts safe from other users, as happens with program variants.
    First of all then, is there any authorization object related to the User-specific option that my roles are missing?
    I read somewhere that 'user-specific' option is controlled by auth. S_ALV_LAYO, ACTVT = 23, yet I have
    this auth object with ACTVT = *.
    Second, if this option was available, would this let users create their own layouts so that other users don't
    overwrite them?
    thanks
    gracias
    xiè xiè

    in the resue FM check the I_SAVE which value are you passing:
    Value range
    ' ' = Display variants cannot be saved
    Defined display variants (such as delivered display variants) can be selected for presentation regardless of this indicator. However, changes cannot be saved.
    'X' = Standard save mode
    Display variants can be saved as standard display variants.
    Saving display variants as user-specific is not possible.
    'U' = User-specific save mode
    Display variants can only be saved as user-specific.
    'A' = Standard and user-specific save mode
    Display variants can be saved both as user-specific and as standard
    variants. Users make their choice on the dialog box for saving the
    display variant.

  • Non user-specific layout in Tx KOC4

    Hi all.
    We´re trying to create a not user specific layout on tx KOC4, but the option "user-specific" is check and grayed out and can't modify it.
    We´re using the standard report.... I search on the forum and on sap notes for a solution, but I can´t find it.
    Thanks in advance for your help.

    If you want to be able to create non-user-specific layout from the actual/planned cost report in  you have to flag the field "layout visibility - shared" in transaction OKN0. Then you will see that the user-specific field is no longer greyed out anymore.
    I leave the solution, if anyone needs the help sometime
    Thanks any way!

  • User specific variant (how to )

    Hi gurus,
    i have made one report. in this report we need different layout.
      i have user reuse_alv_grid_display .
      our requirement is we want to create one default layout and other user specific layout.
    so if user doen't have his ownlayout then we want to display default layout otherwise display that user specific layout.
    i am not able to figure it out how it works in this function module.
       call function 'REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY'
           exporting
                i_callback_program          = g_repid
                i_structure_name            = 'ZSDMATATP'
                it_fieldcat                 = zfield
              it_sort                     = sortcat[]
                I_DEFAULT                   = 'X'
                i_save                      = 'U'
                is_variant                  = g_variant
          IMPORTING
              e_exit_caused_by_caller     = exit_caused_by_caller
              es_exit_caused_by_user      = exit_caused_by_user
           tables
                t_outtab                    = display
           exceptions
                program_error               = 1
                others                      = 2.
      if sy-subrc <> 0.
        message id sy-msgid type sy-msgty number sy-msgno
                with sy-msgv1 sy-msgv2 sy-msgv3 sy-msgv4.
      endif.
    please tell me where i made mistake.
    Thanks,
    Jignesh.

    1. Put one parameter on the screen like:
    PARAMETERS : P_VAR LIKE DISVARIANT-VARIANT obligatory.
    2. Assign the F4 help for that parameter
    AT SELECTION-SCREEN ON VALUE-REQUEST FOR P_VAR.
    DATA:       W_VARIANT LIKE DISVARIANT.
      CALL FUNCTION 'REUSE_ALV_VARIANT_F4'
        EXPORTING
          IS_VARIANT    = W_VARIANT
          I_SAVE        = e_save        "Was 'A'
        IMPORTING
          ES_VARIANT    = W_VARIANT
        EXCEPTIONS
          NOT_FOUND     = 1
          PROGRAM_ERROR = 2
          OTHERS        = 3.
      IF SY-SUBRC EQ 0.
        P_VAR = W_VARIANT-VARIANT.
      ELSE.
        W_VARIANT-REPORT = SY-REPID.
      ENDIF.
    3. Pass this W_VARIANT to FM
    CALL FUNCTION 'REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY'
        EXPORTING
          IS_VARIANT         = W_VARIANT
    By this way, user has to select at least one variant. He can pull down the F4 help for avaliable variants. He can see the default one alongwith his own variants if he has any.

  • OIDH - User specific print control

    Hi Experts,
    In OIDH, we used to maintain user specific print control for the combination of Planning Plant & Planner Group.
    There following same entry was maintained in 2 different ECC instances(Testing & Quality)
    User - No entry(blank)
    Planning Plant - *
    Planner group - *
    Shop paper - No entry(blank)
    Output device - LOCL
    New Spool Request - enabled
    Print Immediately - enabled
    Delete after output - enabled
    In Testing environment, For a released work order, when i select Order-> Print -> Order, a pop up appears showing the entries of Shop papers.
    In Quality environment, For a released work order, when i select Order-> Print -> Order, a pop up appears mentioning "No user-specific shop papers are defined".
    Could you Pls let me know what could be the reason for the same User specific setting, Testing & Quality instances are behaving in a different way.
    I hope the Quality system displays the right output message for the above Config setting.
    Regards,
    Karthik Bhaskaran

    Please make changes in the following fields
    User - No entry(blank)  Instead of blank  " * "
    Shop paper - No entry(blank) Instead of blank  " * "
    Create the transport and move it to Quality and test it.
    Hope this helps.

  • Windows 7 Elevating using UAC, does not change the standard users setting, it runs the Admins settings

    When elevating privilege for a standard user using an admin account, the UAC runs the application under the admins account "user" and not the standard users account "user", the problem is that doing so, it does not change the standard
    users settings
    In this example, trying to change the "Check for Updates Automatically" as the standard user, is grayed out, you have to be an admin to change this. This is a design of Java.
    When you right click and run as an administrator, the option is no longer grayed out and can be deselected, however, this only changes that setting for the admins specific "user", not the standard users specific "user" the admin is elevating
    privilege for. as illustrated below.
    Is there a work around for an admin to run his credentials but elevate the standard users session instead of his own or some other way to set the standard users setting when admin credentials are required?

    Hi,
    Based on your description, I understand that you want to disable
    Check for Updates Automatically option for standard users in Java.
    You can achieve this target by editing
    EnableJavaUpdate registry entry. For more details, please refer to following articles and check if can help you.
    (Please back up before that registry operation. That will help us to avoid unexpected issues.)
