Layout in different page dimensions?

I wonder how I could make a layout in a different format, for example a square page or a horizontal page for a book. Is there a way to do that?
Thanks
I'm using pages 2.0.2

Mimi,
You could do it with Pages' margins in the document inspector, but I think a better way to do it is to click on File > Page Setup > Paper Size menu > Manage Custom Sizes. You can define whatever size paper you want.

    Hi Mukesh,
    Read these lines which has been given in help.sap.com and also go through the link given below.
    Main Window on Several Draft Pages :
    if you want the pages on which a table with items is printed to have different layouts. Height and position of the main window may differ on the different pages, but the width must remain the same throughout.

  • Report Layout for different page sizes....

    hi...by chance my report (which was developed for an A4(letter size) paper) printed on a legal size page(8x13 inch) which left alot of blank space on the bottom of page which was giving a bad look to my report. So I want to know that is there anyway to develop the reports so that they set the reports width n height automatically with different page sizes?

    nobody is willing to answer this?

  • Different page layout from template?

    In the new Pages with Maverick I can't find a way to use a different page layout from a template than the two layouts in miniature by default. Have you found a way?

    The templates doesn't have several different pages layouts anymore, which they had in Pages 09. Pages 5.0 is a very strpied down Pages. You could say Pages very Lite should be the name.
    What you could try is open the old Pages 09 ( in the application folder > iWork 09 folder) the templates you like. Add the different page layouts in templates so they not are hidden. Save as a documents. Now open them in Pages 5.0 and save as templates.

  • 2 main windows in 2 different pages with different layouts

    Hi Guru's,
    I'm working on Smartforms.
    My problem is, i have 2 different pages with 2 diiferent main windows.
    The First Page lasts after 7 pages of Data Printing.
    It is coming corrctly.
    I've assign the Next Page as Second Page in the First Page and i'm maintaining a condition in the First Page to go to the Second page.
    Everything is working fine, but in the second page i'm not getting the Main Window.
    What could be the Problem??? Why the control is not going to main window of second page???
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Adi.

    Try like this:
    1. Set the Next page of the FIRST as FIRST
    2. In the MAIN window of the FIRST, after completing the TABLE, create a command which calls the SECOND PAGE.
    3. In SECOND page, create a MAIN window, with differnet name. If you create a same name, system will automatically refer the MAIN window in the FIRST page.
    4. Set the next page of the SECOND as SECOND.

  • Page Footer : utilisation different page footers with different dimension

    In my document I use different page u2013footers sections, I know that CR takes as reserved space the minimum space of the greatest page-footer section, is there a possibility to have different page footer sections with different dimensions

    hi,
    "Clamp Page Footer" option can be used to remove extra space at the bottom of the report. This option can be used such that  each page  height varies.

  • Ability to display data in Different Page Sizes in a Single RTF

    We have a requirement to show different page sizes in a Single RTF file .
    Please let me know you have worked on such a functionality as part of earlier assignments.
    Requirement Detail:
    We have 2 templates (One Legal (8.5*14) and One Statement ( 5.5*8.5)) as part of the same report in 2 different pages.
    Conditionally we need to show xml data in either the Statement or the Legal Format .
    Issues Currently faced:
    1.     When the Statement is chosen as a user parameter: (Attachment : ReportoutputforStatement.pdf)
    -     The data is super-imposed on the Legal layout instead of showing it on the Statement layout . Hence the page dimensions are not as expected in the report.
    -     There is a extra last page in the report which is blank with the Statement Layout.
    2.     When the Legal option is chosen as a user parameter: (Attachment : ReportoutputforLegal.pdf)
    -     The Data is appropriately shown on the legal layout
    -     There is a extra last page in the report which is blank with the Statement Layout.
    Regards:
    Nagaraj.s

    Have you tried creating two subtemplates and conditionally calling them based on the parameter chosen?
    If I understand correctly,currently you have a single RTF template (2 pages) that includes the two different layouts..
    Thanks,

  • How to create a report with different page sizes

    Hi,
    I would like to create a report with different page sizes, it's possible to do it with diadem?
    When I change the layout parameters, changes afect to all sheets...
    Is there a way to change page size individually for each sheet?
    Thanks in advance.
    Marc

    Hi Marc,
    You can use the DocStart and DocEnd commands along with the PicPrint command to spool multiple print commands to the same output PDF file using the direct printer approach.  This should enable you to programmatically specify the page size differently for each sheet that you add to the print job.
    ' Print PDF Page by Page.VBS
    OPTION EXPLICIT
    Dim i, Path, OldPrintName
    Path = AutoActPath & "2D Stacked"
    Call DataDelAll
    Call DataFileLoad(Path & ".TDM")
    PDFFileName = Path & " Page by Page.pdf"
    IF FileExist(PDFFileName) THEN Call FileDelete(PDFFileName)
    OldPrintName = PrintName
    PrintName = "winspool,DIAdem PDF Export,LPT1:" ' Set to PDF printer
    PDFResolution = "72 DPI" ' "2400 DPI" , "default"
    PDFOptimization = TRUE
    PDFFontsEmbedded = FALSE
    PDFJPGCompressed = "high"
    PrintOrient = "landscape" ' orient paper
    Call PrintMaxScale("GRAPH") ' auto-max, see alternative margin setting variables below
    PrintLeftMarg = 0.181
    PrintTopMarg = 0.181
    PrintWidth = 10.67
    'PrintHeigth = 7 (read-only)
    Call WndShow("REPORT")
    Call DocStart ' Begin multi-page document/print job
    FOR i = 1 TO 4
    Call PicLoad(Path & ".TDR")
    Call GraphSheetNGet(1)
    Call GraphSheetRename(GraphSheetName, "Page " & i)
    Call PicUpdate
    Call PicPrint("WinPrint") ' Add a page to be printed
    NEXT ' i
    Call DocEnd ' End multi-page document/print job
    PrintName = OldPrintName
    Call ExtProgram(PDFFileName)

  • Financial Reporting 11.1.2.1 Page Dimension

    I am using FR 11.1.2.1 and connected to Planning. When I selected two dimensions in the page and preview the reports, the two page dimensions will be "combined" in one page filter. For example, if I set up Year and Period in the page, it will be FY11-Jan, FY11-Feb...etc. Is there a way we can keep the two dimensions separated as two filters? Thank you.
    Jerry

    Hi Mehmet,
    Thank you for your response. Sorry I forgot to mention that we were connecting to Planning, not Essbase. I recalled that this problem doesn't exist in the FR 9.1, but for some reasons it happened in FR 11.1.2. I will check the link you provided to see if there is any connection.
    By the way, do you happen to know if it's possible to separate the page filters defined in the FR? For example, I would like to have Year and Period as two different filters, not combined as one showing FY12-Jan, FY12-Feb...etc. Thank you in advance!

  • How can I merge documents with layout written with pages? How can I copy pages-document with layout and paste it into another pages document?

    Hi
    I am working with pages for a book and have made already a layout whre photos and graphs etc. are partly outside of the area for the text, their posotion is not fixed the the text.
    And now I nedd support: When I add text or a photo to the layout the text moves and the unfixed photos etc. keep there position. This means I have to update each photo or graph to shift it to the new position ore I have to place photos etc. within the frame of the text, which is not the kind of layout I am going for.
    I hope for two reliefs, which I do not know how to realize it.
    1. If I specify each chapter as a new partition starting with own page (then I hoped) the new section would shift together into a new page and the positions of photos etc. and text would stay fix. But unfortunately this seeems not to be the case. Question: is this possibe orno? If yes, how to do it?
    I could divede the whole txt chapter by chapter into individual documents, which are seperatly created and worked. At the end I would have to merge all this document into one. Is it possibe to merge different pages-document into one document?
    Who can help me?
    Thanks Hartmut

    Images and other object can either be floating or be inline. Yours are floating and will not move with the text. Inline object will move with the text but can't be outside the text layer. It doesn't help if you have created section in the document. Floating images doesn't care. Nor will it help if you create several documents that you want to merge later. Doesn't make any difference.
    My suggestion is that until your text is finished you have the images inline. Then as a last editing you can start make the images floating and move them a little.

  • Unable to see layout design in page editor

    I am using JDeveloper version 11.1.2.0.0.
    I downloaded the hands-on practices from the site Tuhra2 – Sample application for the Oracle JDeveloper 11g Handbook.
    When I open the jspx files under Web Content, the visual design does not show up in the Design tab, instead I can only see the tags in text form.
    What can I do to see the visual layout of the page?

    I'm having same strange behavior.
    Before my JDeveloper 11g R2 Design Page work OK. Than I checkout application from SVN to another folder in FS (my JDev was closed meanwhile). I opened JDev and closed "old" app and open "new" (from that different folder) app and my Visual Design Page Editor does not work well (it is rendering well unusual with some kind of structure view).
    I have checkouted my app on another computer which has JDev installed in designer works ok. So obviously this is not app-based issue but JDev-vbased issue. What now?
    And if I enable Tools -> Preferences -> JSP and HTML Visual Editor -> Show Design Time Messages in Log I'm getting:
    WARNING: [ADFbc, ADFc, ADFm, ADF_FACES, TRINIDAD] features were found in ViewController.jpr but are not installed. Install these technologies before you proceed.Edited by: zmeda on Sep 1, 2011 11:55 AM Added WARNING

  • Eventing between iView on different pages and different models

    Hi guys,
    Though I read carefully as many related posts as possible,
    I haven’t been able to determine a definite answer to the following question.
    I am creating an ‘application’ that will show several graphs about a month n in the portal.  Each graph is an iView in a different page, and I want the iViews to be completely independent.  I mean, I can’t go for the option of having all the iViews in the same model.
    Therefore, I have to design each iView with an event in,
    They would receive as parameter, the month n issued as event out of a first iView.
    I have not been able to have those iView communicating with each others up to now.
    I saw that maybe Guided Procedure would be an alternative, but fear that I then have to pass in the graphs in the exact same following order each time, which I want to avoid.
    Any pointer is welcome.
    Ch

    Thanks for your trial, Jan.
    Using one single model is not an option (and I know how to do it should I decide to go that way).
    Think about authorizations, for instance : user1 can see graph a b c and user2 can see graph a d e.
    If the graphs are all in a big iView, I can't segregate graphs b c d e that are not common to the two users.  If each graph is in a different iView/page, I can assign them one by one.
    Another application of the concept : if I have a 'summary' page and a 'detailed' page, showing the same graph but at a different size, for instance : going for the 'indenpendancy' solution allows me to re-use exactly the same iView, just the layout properties would be changed at 'portal' level.

  • What is a page dimension?

    What is a page dimension?
    What is POV dimension?

    A page filter holds filters of dimensions members for a given pivot table analysis.
    When analyzing multi-dimensional databases you're often reporting in pivot tables. Hyperion tends to use a Column, Row, Pages and POV pivot table layout.
    POV is a feature that filters the report like pages, but follows the user around as they open other reports.

  • Designing for iPad. Horizontal Scroll & Different Page Sizes.

    Putting together a pdf for iPad using cs6.
    I have content that fits a standard iPad format BUT I also have these very long timelines (170cm x 21 cm). These need to be displayed zoomed in – with the reader swiping right to accessing the remainder of the content (so a horizontal scroll).
    Whenever I test it on the iPad it displays the full image (so zoomed out and tiny).
    Just to clarify – I have two different page sizes in the same document – standard iPad size and then these annoyingly long ones....
    So how do I make sure I view them right on the iPad? I need the zoom/fixed start on the long images.
    Sorry a bit of a novice with anything for iPad.
    Thanks!

    Hi,
    Go the page in which u have added the iview.
    choose page layout.
    Set "1 Column (Full Width)" for the column property
    The Default Layout should be 1 Column (Full Width).

    But, I wanted to link to different pages based on value in the table. Please let me know how can I do this?APEX version?
    Is this a standard or interactive report?
    How does the value from the table determine the target page used in the link? Is it a page number? Or the result of some computation or process?
    When you have a problem you'll get a faster, more effective response by including as much relevant information as possible upfront. This should include:
    <li>Full APEX version
    <li>Full DB/version/edition/host OS
    <li>Web server architecture (EPG, OHS or APEX listener/host OS)
    <li>Browser(s) and version(s) used
    <li>Theme
    <li>Template(s)
    <li>Region/item type(s) (making particular distinction as to whether a "report" is a standard report, an interactive report, or in fact an "updateable report" (i.e. a tabular form)
    With APEX we're also fortunate to have a great resource in apex.oracle.com where we can reproduce and share problems. Reproducing things there is the best way to troubleshoot most issues, especially those relating to layout and visual formatting. If you expect a detailed answer then it's appropriate for you to take on a significant part of the effort by getting as far as possible with an example of the problem on apex.oracle.com before asking for assistance with specific issues, which we can then see at first hand.
