Layout is different

I don't know what to search under to see if this has happened
before, but I designed my site and I was checking it along the way.
I finished did a final check and everything was laid out the way I
wanted it. So I put it up/published it.
Afterwards, log'd on to my Internet Explorer and went to the
site and everything looked fine. But then I was at a different
computer a few days later and my borders and some other items were
are over the place. I can still see it the way I want it to look
from some computers but apparently not all of them.
Why would my site display properly on some computers but not
all? Doesn't DW (or the Internet Browsers) automatically show the
same data? Is there something I need to "check" to allow the site
to re-adjust to other peoples browsers or something?

That means you're probably relying on IE bugs to get it to
display
correctly. The home page looks fine, but once I get past
clicking Enter,
it goes down hill from there.

Layers can do very nasty things when used as a primary layout
methodology. For one thing, layers are independently
positioned without
regard to anything else on the page. That's why the text
tends to
overlap other objects, especially if I increase the text size
in the
browser. Another IE bug you seem to be reliant upon is that
IE will
expand an object to contain the text you put into it, even if
you have
assigned a height to it. A standards compliant browser won't.
That's why
your text spills out of the boxes you have for it.

    Hi Mukesh,
Read these lines which has been given in help.sap.com and also go through the link given below.
Main Window on Several Draft Pages :
if you want the pages on which a table with items is printed to have different layouts. Height and position of the main window may differ on the different pages, but the width must remain the same throughout.

  • Swing Layout for different screen resolution

    Hi All,
I am developing an application which will always run in a FULL SCREEN mode.
I intend to make it working on all screen sizes (resoultions) and on different OS and devices.
Since I am new to Swing, could anyone of you suggest a good layout manager to manage the components?
I am using NetBeans 6.8 (which uses a GroupLayout) for designing the GUI but when I change the screen resolution, the arrangement is all messed up.
Also, I am not able to design my application's GUI using NetBeans GUI builder as there is noway I can get an idea of how things will look like in the EXTENDED_BOTH state.
It will be very helpful if anyone could suggest..
    Thanks!

The entire point of Swing LayoutManagers is to get a (reasonably) consistent layout across different resolutions, window sizes, platforms, etc. Of course, different window sizes and aspect ratios will affect things slightly, but any LayoutManager properly used will do the job you're describing.
As for which LayoutManager to use, I think that's a misleading question because it's not uncommon to use multiple LayoutManagers for a single screen. But in my experience it's possible to do 95% of what you want using GridBagLayout and a properly nested hierarchy of JPanels. GridBagLayout is a pain to get used to (caution against re-using GridBagConstraints), but once you do it's amazing what you can get out of it.

  • Different layout for different layers in a JLayeredPane

Is it possible to set a different layout for different layers in a JLayeredPane?
Say, I have a JFrame with two or more JInternalFrame.
I set a JDesktopPane as the content pane for the frame.
Is it possible to add the different JInternalFrames to different layers with different layout?? like, BorderLayout for one layer and FlowLayout for another and so on..

But cant you add differnt components to diffrent layers. and each component can have a layoutmanager.. dont know if you can but maybe..

  • Print Layout Designer - Different Variable No for Different Currencies

    Hi Experts,
I will need your support once again.I just noticed that the Withholding tax field on the Invoice print layout displays only when the transaction is in Local currency, while trying to trouble shoot this issue, I discovered that the Variable Number for the withholding Tax field for transactions in Local currency differ from that of USD transactions.
I need this field to display irrespective of the currency, how can I achieve this? Can I get a comon variable number for that field ?
Any info will be highly appreciated.
    Kind Regards

    Hi Chike,
The answer is no.  You can not change them because they hold different values. If you want to use one PLD to print both LC and FC, you have to use many formula fields to do so.
    Thanks,

  • Different PO layout for different users - issue

    Dear Experts
I am facing following issue: in ME23N in the item detail tab 'Purchase Order History) I have two end-users who see different columns; user A can see columns like Amount (=value of GR) and Amount in LC (=value of GR in local currency) while user B can see these fields.
First I checked the view in the PO History tab and both are using Basic list. And then I compared the layout and the point is that user A cannot even select mentioned columns in the Change Layout option - the columns Amount and Amount in LC simply aren't available to be added in Change Layout option.
I hope some of you could share any experience what else could control the layout of PO item details on the user level.
Many thanks to all in advance and best regards

    Dear Jürgen
Perhaps dfo you have some hint which authorization object could control this?

  • Layout shows different data depending on user-language (German or English)

    Hello best of the best,
we are using layouts to enter data into BCS. In one of our layouts different numbers are shown depending on the user-language (German or English).
This is despite the same layout is used.
Have you got any idea what could cause this problem?
Is there a setting somewhere that I didn´t know up to now (to distinguish in different languages)?
Better to ask SAP using an OSS-message?
    Many thanks in advance,
    Thomas
If you need more information about that case, pls tell me.

The numbers are volumes (KWh, to, l).
There are several positions with different "Breatdown Categories". In the english version of the layout only the KWh-volumes are shown. "to" and "l" (Diesel) are missing.
To describe the problem more clearly, in the german version the layout seems to show correct data:
    Position                KWh         to         l
    Diesel (l)                   -            -       5.000
    Coal (to)                    -        3.000      -
    Electricity (KWh)   200.000      -         -
The "-" shows fields that are grey --> no data can be inserted
The english version looks like this:
    Position                KWh         to         l
    Diesel (l)                   -             -          -
    Coal (to)                    -            -           -
    Electricity (KWh)   200.000  200.000  200.000
Here the white fields at Diesel (l) and coal (t) are empty, but the grey fields in the col´s "to" and "l" show the value of "KWh" in electricity as well.
    Does this answer your question?

  • Layout in different page dimensions?

I wonder how I could make a layout in a different format, for example a square page or a horizontal page for a book. Is there a way to do that?
    Thanks
    I'm using pages 2.0.2

    Mimi,
You could do it with Pages' margins in the document inspector, but I think a better way to do it is to click on File > Page Setup > Paper Size menu > Manage Custom Sizes. You can define whatever size paper you want.

  • Dialog Programing: Output screen layout is different from actaul layout

    Hi,
I have developed screen layout in SE51 and same is used in my program.Program is working fine but the problem is in column order.I designed layout in SE51 by copying structure from ABAP dictionary and same has been used in my program but output layout column order is completely different from SE51 screen layout. When i check this on Se51,everything is in order.
My program is referring the same screen number and program.there is only one screen i.e 100.
How do we fix this problem.
    Regards,

Looks like, your table settings got changed for the table control on the screen.
    Run your program.
Now, on the screen you can find out the "Table Settings" in the Top Right corner of the Table control as ICON.
Press the Icon and it will bring the Table Settings screen.
In the Current Settings, choose the Basic Settings ... save and close.

  • My ipads keyboard layout is different how can i get the normal keyboard back?

    some one help me please

There are a lot of ways that the keyboard layout could be different. You could describe what you are seeing so that we don't have to guess.
If the keyboard is split and covering your text, Pull the two ends of the keyboard together - into the middle of the screen. You can also tap and hold down on the little keyboard icon in the lower right corner of the keyboard and select - Dock and Merge.
If the keyboard is up on the middle of the screen, but not split, and you want to move it back to the bottom - tap and hold down on the little keyboard and icon and select - Dock
You can turn the split keyboard off in Settings>General>Keyboard>Split Keyboard>Off.
As Ralph explained, you may have different keyboards enabled in the settings as well. The globe key lets you switch from keyboard to keyboard.
You may also have a different keyboard layout selected in Setrings>General>Keyboards>Your language. There are hardware and software keyboard choices in there.

  • Layout looks different on other computers

hi. i published my website through iweb 09 and i've noticed on other computers that the layout and fonts are different. how can i fix this?

Make sure you're using Web Safe Fonts.  Otherwise any computers that don't have the font you used installed will substitute a different font which will change the look of the page entirely.
What's the URL of your site so we can examine it first hand?

  • Layout with different resolutions

    Hallo and good morning!
Once again I need some advice:
I have a program that is running on different machines with different resolutions.
Is it possible to avoid, that the layout is paning all around?
    Best regards
    Hilby
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Hi Hilby,
No... that is currently a limitation of the layouts, where we try to adapt to each screen, but the objects and the layout may not fit into a different aspect ratio with a different number of pixels.
The aspect ratio is the most important, followed by the total resolution of the screen.
Some more information on aspect ratios is below.
In summary, DASYLab is unable to completely adapt the "Screen" layout for evey monitor size and resolution. If you want to have a fixed layout that does not completely occupy some monitors, then consider using a fixed size, like A4 or A3.
If you make something on a big monitor, 1600x1200 for example, and move it to a wide screen monitor,, 1600x900.
    From my friends at Wikipedia
With computer displays, aspect ratios wider than 4:3 are also called widescreen. Widescreen computer displays were previously typically of 16:10 aspect ratio, now they are shifting to 16:9.
Until about 2003, most computer monitors had a 4:3 aspect ratio and some had 5:4. Between 2003 and 2006, monitors with 16:9 and mostly 16:10 (8:5) aspect ratios became commonly available

  • Print layout is different from the working view.

I got two calendars in iCal, marked with red and green. I always make the green ones as the first one on everyday and the red ones as the second. However, when I printed the scheduled month, some red ones were in the upper positions and it looked different from my screen.
How can I make all the green ones as the first event in the printed version.

You can make objects visible only on the screen by selecting Object => Presence => Visible (Screen Only). You can do the same for printing by selecting the Visible (Print Only) option.
    Hope this helps,
    Mike
