Layout is not saved

Hi SAP developers,
I got the following problem: In an Interactive Forms I inserted some ui-elements which are invisible when the form is opened the first time. After the user makes some interaction then those ui-elements get visible. The problem now is that when the form is saved and reopened after saving, then the visibility of all ui-elements is set back to the initial value (invisible). Is there a possibility to save also the layout or to prevent the framework from loading the initial visibility values?

Thanks Petr for your reply,
my experience is exactly the same what you expected. I read the lcdesigner_scripting_reference.pdf but the only thing which goes in this direction is the scripting property restoreState. But I do not know how to use it correctly. I thought of the manual mode.
As a workaround I used the initialisation methods to reset the layout as you suggest. But I do not feel comfortable with this solution.
Another way for solving this problem is perhaps to put those visibility properties into the interface. But this is not nice too.

  • Manual Layout data not saving to trx cube

    Hello BPS Experts,
I am trying to load some data using manual planning. I open the layout and enter the values and press save. I do not find any requests / data in the cube.
case 1) No error / warning
I do not get any error during the save function in the layout. What could be the possible step I am missing. What could be the root cause..
case 2) message - No data to be saved
sometimes i get a message 'No data to be saved'. And that data is not getting saved. What could be the reason of this message.

    Hello BWer,
One of the main reasons for data not saving from a layout into a Trx cube, is if there is no key figure being updated. The value of the key figure being posted should <> 0.
If you choose the option to display transaction data in your layout, then, only data with key figure values <> 0 will be displayed.

  • Custom 2-week timecard layout not saving hours on 2nd Monday on 2nd row

We have a custom timecard layout, based on the projects and payroll layout, that moves the comments from the details page to the front page after each day's hours field.
It is working fine when used with a one-week timespan, but for 2 weeks, there is a strange problem. If you enter row 1 with no hours on the second Monday, then try to enter row 2 with hours on the second Monday, it will not save those hours. Instead, the hours are erased and the field blanked out.  It will save hours on other days, but not the second Monday.  Also, if you hit Continue, the hours are blanked out on the second Monday.
    Anyone else experienced this?

Yes, thanks, I have found it.
Independently, I discovered the problem with the timecard. In the two week format, the second Monday hours input element had an ID of B2822, which was the same ID of the comments for the second Tuesday.
The sequencing for the ids for the hours input fields is B2210 .. B2227, B2228, B2229 etc.
The sequencing for the ids for the comments input fields is B2810, .. B2821, B2822, B2823, etc.
It would appear in our case that when the timecard layout is generated, the second Monday on the second row gets an ID of B2822 when it should be B2228, which seems to be a typo somewhere.
Once I understood the problem, following Ramu's suggestion that it was a known bug, I was able to search metalink using the search term 'OTL hours not saved' and found patch 6368806, which addresses a similar problem with a different layout. I will post an update if that patch resolves the problem.
Note:467906.1 and Note:467483.1 have more information.

  • Screen layout not saved

    Hi!
When I change the size of the filmstrip and of the right panel, they are not saved after leaving LR. When restarting, they have the old size again. This worked better in the Beta 4.1. (I did not try changing the size of the upper and left panel.)
    Bye . . . Joerg Wirtgen

Thanks for that, Brian. Maybe some more folks will chime in.
I've noticed (with interest) that there seem to be a fair number of photographers running LR with only a single monitor setup. It would be unthinkable for a video editor (my primary function) to operate with less than 2 monitors (3 would be better if I had the room, but I don't because of that pesky NTSC broadcast monitor I need to use). But maybe for photo-centric operations a nice widescreen flat panel does just fine.
I wonder if just having the desktop stretched across 2 monitors is involved in this. As soon as I get some down time, I'll try switching to clone mode and see what happens.

  • FACT SHEET Configuration not saving in transport to move to QA system

    hi Experts
I am setting up the Account Fact Sheet BP_ACCOUNT_FS for my users and the only configuration that is saving is the configuration of the layout of the fact sheet to a transport.  The actual settings or configuration within the fact sheet is not saving.  For example, I used a BI report and added my query and parameter and while this saves in our development box, this will not save in the transport to move up through the systems.
Any thoughts?  I already have a message open with SAP but checking to see if anyone has an immediate solution.
    Thanks,
    Chris

    Hi,
P-table is an time independent attribute table ie it contains all the attribute info. in that table. so when u added a characteristic to that infoobject, u can find that entry in the P-table.
Also M is a view on P & Q tables. It is not a table.
T- ie Text table will contain only short, medium and long texts related to that info object.
so when u add a characteristic  to infoobject it will be refelcted in P-table or Q- only. Not in Text tables.

  • Layout is not defaulted in ESS My Expenses

    Hi,
I have gone to transaction POWL_QUERY to maintain the layout variant
for FITV_POWL_TRIPS_EXP. After I saved the variant to be the default
variant for all, I logged into ESS and try to access the query.
However, the newly created variant layout is not defaulted.
I have also executed POWL_D01 to refresh the cache.
Anyone encountered this issue before or tried changing the default variant?
    Thanks.

    Hello folks,
I hope you don't mind me jumping in to rant a bit, since this thread concerns two of my favourit pet hates, the Admin Personalization Layer and POWL
I am not suprised it doesnt work and not sure any OSS note will solve the problem... I think it is because POWLs for FI-TV are "strangely" developed
    This, exactly.
1/ Launch your fitv_powl_trips web dynpro application from se80
2/ Add &sap-config-mode=X at the end of the URL path and type enter.
3/ Use option buton to create your ivew as you did it in the layout (store it in a customizing TR).
4/ Launch POWL_D01 and it should be working now.
@ Matthieu: I object. IMO the approach Yvonne described in her opening post is the cleaner one. Doesn't matter much though, since the technical outcome of Yvonne's approach and yours is identical, only the 'functional point of entry' differs. However, implicit WDA Personalization that is supposed to be valid system wide and for all users should never never never be issued via the Admin Personalization Layer, i.e. &sap-config-mode=X, because:
the Layer is overall superfluous and unstable
it is a User Specific customiziation, even if the user scope is "A"
Transporting Admin Personalization is a mess and scarcely works stable
@ Yvonne: What you should do now to clean things up is:
    1. Delete your Admin Personalizations you've created via WDA WD_ANALYZE_CONFIG_USER and Transport this Deletion (and hope the Transport works, otherwise delete the Personalizations on each subsequent system manually)
    2. Repeat what you wrote you did in your opening post, i.e. TA POWL_QUERY, Button Layout-Variant, but then before doing anything, in the URL change the parameter from "&sap-config-mode=X" to "&sap-config-mode=config". You'll notice that orange-like banner above the application changing from "Customizing-Mode" to "Configuration-Mode". Now repeat doing your adjustments, save them, make a Transport, enter the Layout IDs in the query (Note: enter them via the F4-help, not manually) and finally run POWL_D01.
The outcome is an in-built component configuration that can be transported cleanly, isn't unstable and even works pretty well with the horrible POWL-technology. To verify that you've created configurations of the correct type, check WD_ANALYZE_CONFIG_COMP, your configurations should be here. Subsequently check that the entries are NOT in WD_ANALYZE_CONFIG_USER, if they are, things went wrong again.
    Hope that helps
    Cheers, Lukas

  • My keyboard preference is not saved.

    Hi,
I use OS X version 10.9.2 and recently my keyboard preferences are not saved and it's highly annoying since I need to change it every time I restart my computer. I have a Swedish keyboard and I want to use the Swedish leyboard layout. But everytime I re-start my computer it changes back to US keyboard layout. It has never done this before. I don't know what is wrong. Anyone who has had the same issue and know where to problem lies and what I need to do to fix it? In that case I would be very grateful!
    Thanks!

I Already did it around 5-6 times before asking in the forum Unfortunately that was why it was so aggrivating. It kept changing to US although I deleted it.

    When i omit the line OutputStream out = new FileOutputStream(saveFile);
    and write only
    ImageIO.write((RenderedImage) bufferedImage, outExtension,saveFile);
    //out.flush();
then saving the image even in "png" also fails.
The following is the error code:

Sub Transaction type determines the subcontracting attributes and determines the accounts for the posting while doing a sub contracting transaction.
Sub transaction type is also used for determining the accounts while
    doing excise removals.
Within CIN the account determination is based on the transaction type.
So normally you can have a single set of accounts for Excise
utilization. In case you need alternate account determination for
handling various scenarios you can define sub transaction types. The
sub transaction types and corresponding account assignments needs to be
    maintained in CIN customization
To make customization of Sub Transaction type, goto
<b>SPRO --> Logistics General --> Tax on Goods Movements --> India --> Account Determination and check whether you have assigned second and third one, viz. "Specify Excise Accounts per Excise Transaction and Specify GL Accounts per Excise Transaction".</b>
    Check
<b>Taxes on goods mvnt--indiaaccnt determination---specify excise accnts for excise transaction...maintain the sub transction type , ip or 01,
    against the appropriate ETT</b>

  • Non admin user - changes not saved (Safari settings, system prefs, etc.)

iMac, 2 users, one is administrator and other is standard user. Recently, in the non-admin user account, it has become impossible to make any changes. For example, adding an application to the the Dock, after logging out and back in next time, the application is not in the Dock any more. Also, making changes to the prefs in Safari, changes are not saved.
I noticed this after installing FireFox v4. I installed it as admin whilst in the non-admin users account. However, I don't believe that the installation of FF has anything to do with the problem, it just highlighted it. I've checked the permissions for the various directories that hold prefs info such as user/libraries/application prefs/etc. etc. and also Safari prefs. Nothing I can see that has changed in system prefs.
Any ideas on what has caused the problem (kids are known to fiddle from within the non-admin account) and any ideas on how to fix it?
    Thanks

    Hi PPRuNe,
You could try making the standard user an Admin too. To do this, make sure you are logged in to the standard user, go to System Preferences > Accounts > Standard user (you may have to unlock the padlock) > Allow user to administer this computer
This will allow changes to be made without being prompted for a password all the time.
However, if you had Parental Controls on, they probably won't work on an admin account because as an admin you have complete control over a computer, so the computer thinks there is no point in having the controls turned on. And if the kids are known to "fiddle," just think carefully!
    Hope this helps you.
    Chris.

  • Microsoft Outlook 2010 The delegates settings were not saved correctly. Cannot activate Send-on-behalf-of list. You do not have sufficient permission to perform this operation on this object.

I am trying to assign delegation to a user and I receive the following message.
The delegates settings were not saved correctly.  Cannot activate Send-on-behalf-of list.  You do not have sufficient permission to perform this operation on this object.
We are using 2010 for the server and client.  There are only specific mailboxes that this is happening for after being migrated from Lotus Notes.  The user can use their mailfile fine however it is just the delegation that appears corrupted somehow.
I'm not sure how to fix this.  I have checked the access through the security tab in ad and that looks fine.
    Any help would be appreciated.

I did some more digging and I solved it.
    This would be the solution:
In Active Directory Users and Computers
    -Click on VIEW
-Click on ADVANCE FEATURES  (this is important otherwise you won't see
the complete list in the next steps)
    -Click on the USERS container
    -Find the problem user's account
-Right mouse the account and click on PROPERTIES
    -Click on the SECURITY tab
-In the top box, click on the SELF account
-In the bottom portion of the screen make sure the READ PERSONAL
INFORMATION  & WRITE PERSONAL INFORMATION  should both be checked for
    ALLOW
If you can compare the permissions for 'SELF' with another user you probably should set them accordingly to be safe. I noticed that for the user where setting delegates (SOB) did
not work, more than those 2 permissions were missing.
    Good luck!

    Mylenium,
Thanks for you time and suggestions!  You helped alot!  My layers panel was crazy.  I re-arranged, re-organized and stacked according to the graphic.  Solved my problem first try.  Not used to making sure the order is right in illustrator, only in photoshop.

  • Sent Messages are not saved in Sent Mailbox

It was working correctly but suddenly all my sent messages are not saved in the Sent Mailbox. I follow all the Mail Help instructions but nothing seems to work. Hope that someone can help me. I asked for help on december 14 but it was not helpful

The mailboxes drawer contains all mailboxes under In, Drafts, Sent, Trash and Junk (if you have Junk Mail set to automatic).
If you have a .Mac or IMAP type account, you also have an account named icon for the .Mac or IMAP type account at the bottom of the mailboxes drawer. It is named by the Account Description you provided/entered for the account under the Account Information tab for the account preferences.
If you select save Sent messages on the server for a .Mac or IMAP type account, the account's Sent mailbox will be available under the account named icon in the mailboxes drawer along with all other server stored mailboxes.
To open the account named icon for your .Mac account to reveal the server stored mailboxes including the account's Sent mailbox, select the black triangle beside your .Mac account icon in the mailboxes drawer pointing it down.
Select the account's Sent mailbox and at the menu bar, go to Mailbox > Use This Mailbox For and select Sent.
If you deselect store Sent messages on the server for the account preferences, the account's Sent mailbox will be available under Sent in the mailboxes drawer and you can't use "Use This Mailbox For" for mailboxes stored locally on the hard drive. It can only be used for .Mac or IMAP type account mailboxes that are stored on the server.

  • Hyperlinks not saved correctly in PDF and Excel

    Hi,
I have a few reports with hyperlinks to other reports that contain multiple input parameters, which makes the links very long. ( greater than 400 characters )
When the reports are saved as excel, I am unable to invoke the child report on clicking the link as the link is not saved entirely ( can see that when i try to edit the hyperlink in excel ).  Therefore the child report opens but prompts for inputs as not all the inputs are passed
When saved as pdf, the link is not saved correctly and i cannot invoke the child report at all
Please can you suggest a solution/workaround? Alternately is it possible to disable the hyperlinks when saved as excel/pdf?
    Regards
    Sameer

    Hello,
I think this is a limitation in Excel where URL syntax has to be 255 characters or less
In order to prove that it's coming from excel and not BO, try in excel to create a false hyperlink which contains more than 255 characters.
A workaround might be to modify the cell as text and will not be recognized as a URL. So you should get it entirely.
Please let me know if it helps you
    Regards,
    Philippe
