Layout of action items

Hi,
I try to create module with Forms Generator is Designer 6.0 with patchset3 and can't control the layout of action item in module component.
Can I change the layout (X,Y position) of action item of module component?
Thanks!

You can create a custom unbound item instead of an action item. Then you can control the layout of this item.
Even simpler, you can always code a pre-form trigger which sets the x and y coordinates at runtime.

Lauri

In this particular case, the specification is corrupt, and rather than trying to find out how to fix the spec, we'd like to just remove it from this user's action items. When they  (or anyone) clicks on it, we get an unhandled error.

  • "Couldn't start this app" error when trying to open Action Items and any other built-in apps

    Hi all,
When I try to open the Action Items app within an email in OWA, I get the error seen in the screenshot. In Outlook 2013, the frame comes up with a 404 error.
    Third party apps load fine.
This is a new install of Exchange 2013 Enterprise with CU2. Everything else seems to be working fine. I have tried rebooting the server and disabling and re-enabling the apps with no luck. Can't seem to find anything in the Event Log about it.
Any ideas why this would happen and how to fix it?
"Something went wrong and we couldn't start this app"

    Hi,
Could you please check the IIS log and see what’s the error code?
Try using the administrator account to log in the Outlook and see if he can see the apps successfully.
    Thanks,

  • OAB - Certifications : Action Item Due Date

    Hi,
Does anyone know how to setup Due Date for the Action Type based on certain conditions?
    For eg
    Birth Certificate - 3 Months
Marriage Certificate - 45 days etc
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
Thanks for the reply. Yes I am doing the same setup, but I would like to know is there any way to have more than one due date in the action items. This is for Dependent Certifications, currently the set-up in Program Enrollment Requirements - > Dependent Coverage - > Plan Type -> Dependent Change of Life Event -> Change of Life Event Certifications and set-up actions in the action Type window in the Program Enrollment Requirements screen
    For e.g.
Dependent Certification Required - Birth Certificate - Due Date 06/30/2009
Dependent Certification Required - Marriage Certificate - Due Date 07/31/2009
    etc
Likewise there are many certificates involved; Depending on Life Event, Relationship Type and other conditions it will vary. Please let me know if there are any ideas.
    Thanks

    Thanks for the help.

    Check customizing:
Financial Accounting > Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable > Basic Functions > Account Balance Display > Define Proposal for Line Layout:
You should have an entry like:
SAPLFKL9 Account Balance     STD Standard callup of account display     VVV     0001
Where VVV - Is you account balance variant that should have been defined in:
Financial Accounting > Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable > Basic Functions > Account Balance Display > Define Line Layout Variants for Account Balance

  • Action Item from Meeting Minutes

    Hello,
I am using unifier version 10.1, I logged as coadmin and created a Meeting Minutes for a project. Inside that I have added line item, with 'create action item = Yes' (assigned to coadmin itself). But even after posting Meeting Minutes, no action item created.
How to create action item for that perticular line item?

Go to Admin mod and navigate to Action Items BP setup. At Auto Creation tab Setup, Creator and Action must be selected. Unifier will use the workflow selected here for auto created forms.
Also at Meeting Minutes setup in Auto Creation tab select Action Item created. Here you can define condition based auto creation, example you can create Action Items only when Meeting Minutes has a certain status.

  • Posting notes to action items

    Hi guys,
I came along another issue while trying to post a note to an action item. Updating the status for the same item worked like a charm, but my attempt to access the /note resource led to an HTTP 404 file not found response code. Is this feature not accessible yet?
    Best regards,
    Michael

    Hi Simon,
I'm sorry, I think my explanation was not precise - by saying "access" I actually meant sending a PUT request, of course. The Fiddler2 trace confirms that:
    PUT /v1/activities/(activityID)/action_items/(actionitemID)/note?(OAuth params) HTTP/1.1
While the content type is set to "application/xml" and the request body looks like
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <note>asd</note>
Following your API description, this looks fine to me - as I said, accessing (= posting ) the /status resource this way works.
I had a look at the UserVoice account when I started developing using the StreamWork API.Actually I thought it was a place for posting suggestions, not for actual development question/possible bug reports.
    Best regards,
    Michael
Edit: Using the wrong HTTP verbs with StreamWork leads to an error code 500 if I remember correctly, but not 404. The "Allowed" response header then points out the allowed methods.
Another edit: It seems that the API works with action items that are assigned to items, but not with those that are assigned to activities, so this works:
    PUT /v1/items/(itemID)/action_items/(actionitemID)/note?(OAuth params) HTTP/1.1
    And this doesn't:
    PUT /v1/activities/(activityID)/action_items/(actionitemID)/note?(OAuth params) HTTP/1.1

  • Action Items link in email displays a 404 error

Just installed a pair of Exchange 2013 servers in our organization and have configured a load balancer for access.  Mail flow, Activesync, calendar, etc.. are all working as expected but some emails display the Action Items link in Outlook.  When
I click on it, the section expands and a 404 error is displayed.  If it were a connectivity issue with the load balancer I would expect to get a 'cannot access page' message.  This page is obviously generated by Exchange (if I scroll down it shows
the same visual style as the Exchange 2013 OWA page).  I've tried searching solutions online and find plenty of information on developing Mail Apps but not much on administering them.  Anyone else run into this problem and/or know how to fix it?
    Thanks!
    -Nick

Disable and Re-enable the apps had no effect.
Setup a profile with my admin account and get the same behavior.
I tried opening an app from within the OWA page instead of Outlook and the error message is different, "App ErrorSomething went wrong and we couldn't start this app. Please try again later or contact your system administrator."
After searching for that error there was a suggestion this was an authentication problem.  I tried switching the OWA auth to Integrated Windows and I get single sign-on to OWA now but still get the error.
Oddly the path in the logs shows the actual server name instead of the load balancer VIP DNS name that i'm entering into IE.  This despite having configured the OWA internal and external URLs to use the VIP DNS name.
Here are IIS logs showing the 404 error I see in Outlook:

  • URGENT: Cutomize Email functionality for Action Items

    Experts,
I need to your help for a customization I need to help setup immediately.
Here is the requirement : Client does not currently have an E-mail notification functionality turned on for Action Items. The requirement is to have E-mails sent out when ever an Action Item is Assigned to a User. The email should be sent to both the user who has been AssignedTo and the person who actually assigned.
I believe this need customization to Criteria Workflow email and/or cutomization to the out of the mail templates - reviewr_mail.htm and reject_mail.htm .
I am not sure which workflow is tied to Action Items.
Any expert advise on this would tremendously help .
    Thanks in advance.
    Rakesh

Old Old (6 years) data that only partly covers this, and on a current server may need some tweaking but this may help.
The following are required and assumed for custom workflow email functionality:
Stellent Content Server 7.x or higher
    A working knowledge of CS
A working knowledge of CS workflow step event architecture
A working knowledge of Idoc Script.
    Business Problem
You wish to customize the email message, subject, template, or all of the above, sent out by CS Criteria workflow.
    Idoc Script Explanation
There are several new or newly exposed Idoc Script variables and functions, as well as old stand-bys, that make customizing 7.x Criteria Workflow emails quick and easy. All the functions and variables described herein may be found in the Idoc Script reference guide.
Emails will be triggered by criteria workflow:
    Upon Step Entry
    Upon Reject
Upon execution of the <wfNotify()> Idoc Script function
    Customizing Email Templates
There are two primary workflow email templates that are used to generate the email messages sent out to recipients. These are: reviewer_mail.htm and reject_mail.htm both of which are located in the default templates directory at:
    < Stellent Home Dir >/shared/config/templates
These templates may be modified like any other template according to established component architecture best practices. The templates are Idoc Script enabled and, as such, may evaluate dynamic code and draw dynamic results when the server is creating the mail message. Of course, after the message instance is created from the template and sent off to the mail server, no additional scripting may be done. Email message template modification provides the greatest flexibility and opportunity for truly customized and dynamic workflow emails.
It should be noted that not only may the email templates be modified for universal email changes, but also you may create custom workflow email templates based on the standard templates. Custom templates may be called as desired by adding them as the optional third parameter to <wfNotify()>.
    Example:
    <wfNotify(userName,"user",templateName)>
    or
    <wfNotify(aliasName,"alias",templateName)>
If no template is specified, SCS will use the system default template.
Although email template modification is relatively straightforward, such modification requires careful component development. Consequently, some clients prefer to modify the most important portions of the criteria workflow email: the subject and the message.
    Customizing the Email Subject Line
Criteria workflow email subject lines may be modified in several ways. The core string resource may be modified according to standard component architecture. Additionally, the wfMailSubject IdocScript variable may be declared in criteria workflow step event scripting to give greater control and flexibility for narrowly targeted customization.
The default criteria workflow email subject lines are defined in the ww_strings.htm file located at:
    < Stellent Home Dir >/shared/config/resourced/lang
    The string definitions are:
<@wwWfIsNotifyOnly=Workflow notification for content item '{1}' is in step '{2}'.@> {1} = content item title. {2} = name of step in workflow.
<@wwWfReadyForStep=Content item '{1}' is ready for workflow step '{2}'.@> {1} = content item title. {2} = name of step in workflow.
    <@wwWfRejected=Content item '{1}' has been rejected.@> {1} = name of content item.
These may be aliased (superceded) in a component resource file. They are typically called with the localization Idoc Script function <$lc()$>. See the <@dynamichtml wf_approve_mail_subject@> include definition in std_page.htm for an example of how email subject line string includes may be implemented.
For simple criteria workflow subject line changes Idoc Script, rather than full-blown components, may be used. The Idoc Script variable <$wfMailSubject="my subject"$> can be placed in step event script. The value of <$wfMailSubject$> can also accept Idoc Script. For example:
<$wfMailSubject="My Custom Subject Line for the content with title <$dDocTitle$>"$>
Note that no eval() function is required for the Idoc Script variable to evaluate when included in the wfMailSubject variable.
If wfMailSubject is place in the entry event of a workflow step, then any email messages triggered by content entering the step will receive the customized subject line. Additionally, wfMailSubject may be declared just prior to a wfNotify() function and the email(s) generated by that function call will receive the custom subject line.
    Customizing the Email Message Line
The email message line is not the same thing as the email body. Rather each SCS criteria workflow generated email contains several lines of standard data:
    Message: message line
    Workflow Name: workflow name line
Workflow Step: workflow step name line
    Content Item:     content id line
The message line will default to one of two messages depending on whether or not the workflow step is a "notification only" (i.e. 0 required reviewers) step or not. The relevant localized strings are:
Notification only: <@wwWfIsNotifyOnly=Workflow notification for content item '{1}' is in step '{2}'.@> {1} = content item title. {2} = name of step in workflow.
Review Required: <@wwWfReadyForStep=Content item '{1}' is ready for workflow step '{2}'.@> {1} = content item title. {2} = name of step in workflow.
See the <@dynamichtml wf_approve_mail_message@> include definition in std_page.htm for an example of how email message line string includes may be implemented.
For simple criteria workflow message line changes Idoc Script may be leveraged in step event scripts. The Idoc Script variable <$wfMessage="my message"$> may be placed in step events to give the workflow emails custom message lines. Like wfMailSubject, the value of wfMessage can accept tagged Idoc Script variables without requiring an eval() wrapper. If wfMessage is declared in the entry event of a workflow step, workflow generated email messages for that step will use the value assigned to wfMessage. Additionally, wfMessage may be declared prior to a wfNotify() function and the email(s) generated by that function call will receive the custom message line.
These are not the only ways to customize criteria workflow email attributes. However, the SCS 7.x Idoc Script API provides these methods, functions, and variables to make customizing workflow emails simple.
    Requirements, Pre-Requisites, and Assumptions
The following are required and assumed for custom workflow email functionality:

  • Designer 6i - Reusable Module Components - Action Items

    Hi,
I have a block that I would like to set up as a reusable module component. The block includes a set of action items (not form navigation). However when I make the block re-usable the action items are NOT created in the new RMC. It appears that action items cannot be included in a re-usable component. I can get around the problem by turning the action items into unbound buttons. But could somebody explain why Actions items cannot be an RMC or form part of an RMC?

In designer6i we cant do this.
In designer 9i, it is taken up as an enhacement request and work is going on, maybe indesigner 9i we would be able to have more than one module component on the same web page.
    Hope this solves your query

  • Wizard Style layout and flex items

    Dear JHeadstart team,
We have several pages where the "Wizard Style Layout" is checked and where a flex item region is defined.
However, the generator generates the flex item region correctly, but the page definition misses the flexitems methodAction and invokeAction.
Standard pages work correctly with the flex item regions.
    Current fix:
    1. Switch off "Clear page definition before generation"
    2. Manually add entries in the page definition.
    Am I correct?

    Hi Remco,
We also use wizard-style layout with flex item regions successfully. In our JHeadstart application definition, we have defined one Item Region in the Regions region container for each page. Within each Item Region,
we have included one item with display type = flexRegion.
For each Item Region, one page is generated and all methodAction and invokeAction tags are included in the page definition file.
Could you please provide more details on your application definition structure?
    Regards,
    Ibrahim

  • Action Item web part has no column headings

Any idea why my Action Item web part does not display the column headings?
    TIA!
    David L. Crooks

    Hi,
Is it a list being inserted into a page? Cause there seems no such OOTB web part provided in SharePoint 2010:
    http://www.c-sharpcorner.com/UploadFile/720a73/list-of-sharepoint-2010-out-of-the-box-web-parts2/
If it is a list view whose column headings are missing, a possible reason is that the headings are hidden by some CSS style, I suggest you insert this list in other
pages or other sites to see if it is an issue of custom CSS style.
    Thanks

  • New stacked canvas and action items

I have a form with tree module components into the same window: one new content canvas and two new stacked canvas.
The window has an action item. When I execute this form the action item is'nt visible because is placed under the stacked canvas. Is possible display the action item at the bottom of the window?

    hi
try to adjust the View port width & height of stacked canvas properties back and forth.
ram Not sure this addresses my problem. The stacked canvas properties are fine. However, I want to be able to execute a SHOW_VIEW on my stacked canvas after a FORM_TRIGGER_FAILURE has been raised. Obviously, I could place a button that did SHOW_VIEW when pressed but thats far from ideal. I want to be able to do it automatically without any need for the user to do anything.
    Regards
    Peter.
