Layout Printing

Hello Everyone!
I'm having problems printing layouts in SAP BO 2007A PL35, when I print one copy of the layout it comes fine, but when I print more than one copy the last copy is printed with box lines around the fields. Does anyone knows what should I do to correct this? Thank you!

URGENT: SapScript Layout printing

hi all,
i have to develop a form which look something like this (click the link for layout)

my problem is for columns: Date, Vessel & Remark, these are include texts.
- i need to print the column lines
- the texts should not overlap the column lines
- how should the window placement be? i've tried the first 5 columns from left is the main window, the remark column is a VAR window which displays the text only, however at the end of the text i'm supposed to display the attachment list. i've tried displaying the list from an internal table but the form only prints the last record, even if there's 3 records, all printing the same value
- i've even tried the whole thing is the main window. my problem arises when i tried to print the include texts. if i use the include text command from sapscript and supply the PARAGRAPH to the command, the texts will be printed a line below, displaying a line feed. however if u use FM READ_TEXT in the print program and use element to control, i ahve the same line feed problem as well. the remark column is printed a line below.
-how to make all the text starting from the first line?
-how do i keep all the text within the column line? what if the texts are very long??
plz any help or suggestions are very much appreciated. any tips will do...

Hi!
This is very complicated task in SAPScript.
- If the texts are constant, or they are not changing very frequently you might create windows for all grids. You will place the relevant text in the right window, you can address windows dynamically.
- You might try to read the text within the printer program (using FM READ_TEXT) and separate the corresponding lines into a table. Then loop at the table and just simply print the lines, and use BOX command for the frames
- Or you might write it in SMARTFORM, which makes this task easier. This is one of the smartform's advantages, it can handle cells very well.

I am working with voucher printing.The problem is when i select a format LETRA .it is saying that it is not supported by the printer.but that is the layout which has the desired size.what shall i do for it?

Mostly i guess this is the problem with the printer setting contact ur basis person to solve this issue.
i hop eu r aware of nace transaction and settng to be done ppz check thm wether they r configured properly...if u r not authorized check with ur functional guy

Smartforms layout printing diffrent in diffrent printer

Hi,
I have a layout designed in Smartforms. Till now it was printing fine from a specific printer but when using diffrent printer it is not printing well. Major issues are:barcode not showing, Font size is bit smaller & some text from the right hand side is missing. Is there any printer issue we need to fix or do i need to design diffrent layout for this printer? Please advise.

We are having a similar problem with SMARTFORMS for 1099 called IDWTCERT_US_1099MISC. We noticed that the print preview after testing the 1099 and the print preview from the SPOOL (trx SP01) shows the 1099 form OK, but printing it out cuts off the right side of the form/image.
There are two things we've tried so far:
1) In SPAD, we have adjusted in the Output Attributes Tab of the DEVICE the area called Additional SAPScript and Smart Form Information. Here, the horizontal move can be entered as a -10 (in millimeters) for instance.
This didn't work for us, as it only shifted the truncated image to the left 1 CM.
2) Before printing from the spool in SP01 we changed the printer from the device type to be LOCL. This worked well, but we are not sure that it will work well when they print the 1099s in the production run.
I'd love to get some more feedback on this issue to see if using LOCL is the best way to do this, or if I can shift the background image or something. Shifting the background image would be difficult, however, not to mention it would make all the SMARTFORM fields on the 1099 print in the wrong spot.
Further ideas?

Halftones in layout print out wrong

When I place a bitmap halftone in the layout it looks fine, but prints out with extra patterns. It didn't do this is PageMaker. How can I preserve the halftone for printing?

Hi All,
The images of signatures and the test form Layout images are printed as upside down mirror images.
This is happening after upgrade. What could be the problem? this is happening while printing notifications.

Hi,
Take a look at SAP note #683605. Usually this is a problem of the printer driver at windows level if you use a windows device type like SAPWIN or SWINCF in SAP. If the printer is a HP PCL printer, try creating a spool and print via a PCL device type like e.g. HPLJ4000. The problem should not happen in this case. But the solution is a corrected windows printer driver as per note #683605.

Informações se repetem no layout - Print layout designer

Estou inserindo, no print layout designer - tela de administração de boletos, os campos CNPJ e Inscrição Estadual.
Quando o layout é visualizado, para cada nome da lista de boletos é informado o CNPJ e IE, mas as informações são repetidas três vezes para cada nome.
As informações são : nome do cliente, vencimento, total.
Bastaria que fosse apresentada apenas a primeira linha.
Alguém já passou por esse problema e conseguiu uma solução?

O que pode estar passando é que podem haver "links to" ou "related to" não validos.
Verifique:
- na aba geral verificar "ligar a" e na aba conteúdo "relacionar com".
- se os campos estão nas áreas corretas. por vezes um campo parece estar numa área repetitiva, mas por alguma razão ficou no cabeçalho da área repetitiva.
Caso isso não ajude, como alternativa, você pode ligar os campos repetidos a um campo que corretamente não esta sendo impresso para ocultar-los.

SAP B1 Collection Report's crystal report layout printing format

Hi all,
We're having an issue in Crystal Report fro SAP Business One - for the Collection (aged-debt) report.
The report is basically doing the following when previewing it in SAP Business One.
It prints the header information etc on the first page and then the detailed information filling up the page as expected - it then prints more lines (not filling up the page - maybe 10 lines or so) from the detailed section to the second page (without any headers etc) - then the third page contains headers again with the detailed line data and the fourth then has a couple of lines but without any header data - and so on...
We've checked the standard page settings - all looks fine.We've checked the section expert - again can't see anything particularly bizarre. It's as though Crystal thinks the page is actually ending someway down the second page!
Has anyone come across a similar scenario and what would be the solution to this sort of issue?

You may check Selection Expert - Paging tab to see if they have been changed. What is the setting for Report header and Page header?

Crystal report layout printing issue

Hi Experts
I have a bit of an urgent issue which I can't seem to solve.
I have created a print spec using crystal reports 2008 sp3. I am trying to print it using an epsom dot matrix printer which is brand new. When I print from crystal reports itself, I have managed to get it printing perfectly. However, as soon as I run it through SAP, the orientation either goes out or it only prints 3/4 of the width of the page and to much as far as the being goes...
There are other print specs which have been created using pld which print fine.
Does anyone know the solution to this issue?

To print Crystal report correctly on dot matrix printer is really a challenge for B1. You have to try everything possible to make it happen. Try search the forum first. There are quite a few discussions about it. However, solution is rare.

Auto-Repeating Layouts: Printing a Table's Rows Across and Down

I am trying to do the following: I have a VO that i currently display in an Advanced Table on my page. However, the table displays the rows like this:
<Row 1>
<Row 2>
<Row 3>
<Row 4>
And so on. My customer has required something like this:
<Row 1> <Row 2>
<Row 3> <Row 4>
My question is: is this even possible? I have been toying around with rowLayout, tableLayout and CellFormat but i haven't found a combination that displays the above layout. Do you know a way of doing it?

InDesign Layout - Printer wants in AI?

We're designing an instruction manual, and supplied the factory with a PDF file of the artwork. They are saying that their printer can not print PDF files and require the artwork laid out in an Illustrator file in print spreads. Has anyone had this issue before?

There have been a few similar postings about printers in Japan not being able to deal with PDF, but I'll add my voice to this list of folks telling you to run, not walk, away from this guy. It would probably be better if he <shudder> placed your PDF in Quark and printed from that, but he probably can't handle that either. Where are you located? Is there an Adobe Service Network partner near you (not that they are the only ones who can do the job right)?
