LC digital signature does not work in Reader

I have added a signature field in a LC form with expectations that it would work in Reader.
I can see the field but it does not work in Reader. I have opened the form in Acrobat and the signature field works.
Any ideas on resolving this?

As I do not have LC Server I used Acrobat Pro to save as reader extended which solved the issue.

I need help I have been working on a new form I want to have digatally signed. I add the digital signature box, in the test pdf it pulls in my digital certificates and works. Once I save the form and try opening it with adobe reader 9 nothing happens when I click the signature block. On the other hand when it is opened in adobe pro the signatures work. I am saving the file as static and tried several combinations of options and nothing seems to work. Can anybody give me some easy to follow instructions? I am using version 8. I appreciate any help.

I am having the same problem with signatures. I am including a form in a pdf portfolio to collect signatures from different users who have Reader. I make sure that features have been extended for reader. Most of the time they are okay. But every once in a while (at least one every two weeks) I get a user telling me they can't sign. No message or error of any kind, just a quick blink but no signature. As a work-around I've had to save a copy and re-extend features. This can be time consuming when there are a few documents I need to circulate. Please advise.

Well, not sure if having the disk in a firewire case or over a network would have made a difference.
The solution of making a disk image as in article http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2664 was what worked for me.
After, mounting the disk image the Migration Assistant completed without errors. So far everything seems to be working like it did on 10.4.11.

Digital signature does not validate with the given key

We are switching our single-signon provider from openssl to Weblogic's SAML. I am trying to create a test application that will send mock SAML assertions to our test Weblogic SAML server before we begin integration with the client that will send real SAML assertions.
I have configured a Weblogic 10.3.5 instance to be a SAML Service Provider as well as created an application that creates test SAML assertions to post to the SAML server. I'm currently using a self-signed certificate to sign the SAML assertion. I've imported the self-signed cert into both the DemoIdentiy.jks and cacerts on the Weblogic SAML server.
The Weblogic SAML server is giving the following error when trying to validate the signature of the assertion:

I get this error when the SAML assertion includes both the cert and the public key, just the cert, just the public key or neither.
I'm pretty sure I've configured the SAML instance correctly since I followed the steps provided by another group who got this working with a different client. The only difference is they are using a real signed certificate (Verisign i believe) instead of a self signed cert.
I'm looking for any help to track down which step in the process I've missed or implemented incorrectly.

So I found my own answer to the issue. The error was being caused by an the following xml in the assertion:

The value of URI attribute must have a '#' followed by the same value of the ID attribute in the parent 'Assertion' element (in our case a random string):

How this is related to the digital signature is beyond me, though I admit I'm very new to saml and digital signing. However I spent a great deal of time investigating my certs and how I was creating the signature, which it seems is unrelated to the actual issue. I also wasn't able to find any docs specifying that this attribute was required, though I might have just missed it.

My SD card will not work in reader after I took pictures with my 60D and tried to transfer to MacBook Pro. I tiook the card to best buy and it worked in all IMacs and MacBook Air but none of the Macbook Pros. I read a couple of blogs and they said its the i7 processors that are having the problem. i don't know what the processors were at the store but I do know they weren't working. Does anyone know of a fix for this?

I am unable to read the class 10 cards in my i5 quad core 15" MBP, as well. There are reported fixes, including resetting the System Management Controller (SMC) (see the details by following this link => http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3964)... but so far, nothing I have found/tried will work with the class 10 cards, regardless of the SD card's storage capacity.
EDIT TO ADD: My cards are Sandisk Extreme class 10, 16GB SDHC cards. I don't have the Extreme Pro version of the card. My personal experience leads me to believe the issue is related to the SPEED of the card and NOT THE SIZE.

Digital Copy Does not work

i have bought triple play blu ray with digital copy and when i try to redeem it does not recognise the code

The person at that number did not work for 20th Century Fox or have any idea what I was talking about.
I called the number on the case. They did not really understand the problem (suggested I update the firmware on my Blu-Ray player). They referred me to http://support.foxdigitalcopy.com. You can obtain a new serial number there, just not for this particular movie.
They have a different number, 866/520-6606, but only answer it Mon-Fri 8am - 5pm.
At this point, I'm just going to try to take the path of least resistance and return it to Amazon as defective.

Audio digital output does not work.

I'm having a hard time with this problem. I have a Toslink cable to plug the iMac with a a/v receiver. I plug the cable but the iMac won't recognize it and in sound preferences it will show that it's headphones and no sound is coming. Same cable and same setup works perfectly with the Macbook. As soon as I plug the cable to it, it shows that it is digital output in the sound preferences.
In short, the problem is that the iMac does not activate the digital output when the toslink cable is connected.
Any ideas about how to solve this problem? I am crossing my fingers for not having a hardware problem.

Have you tried looking for a bit longer miniplug adapter for the Toslink? It is that the digital plug is a little longer that it can activate the switch inside.
If not, it is under warranty. Arrange to have it looked at.

Digital Signature feature not working

Using Acrobat 10.1.12, the document sign feature is grayed-out. I have digitally signed countless documents using this feature. Any suggestions?

Validation of existing certificate does not work since release 9.3.3

Hi everyone,
Since I updated to Adobe Reader 9.3.3 the validation of digital signatures does not work properly anymore. Though I try to validate the certificate that used to be OK before the upgrade to 9.3.3 I now get an error on the same document and signature that used to work before. In the signature details Adobe Reader now states that "The certificate ...is not trusted...". This has to do with the new Adobe Approved Trusted list (AATL) I assume since nothing else changed.
Does anybody know a workaround or is anybody aware of a bugfix that will be released in the near future?

Digital ICE epson scan (professional mode) does not work

I am running the latest Mountian Lion OS on my IMAC and have recently started running some test scans with my Epson Perfection V700 scanner. The supplied Epson software , Epson Scan offers a variety of operating modes, "professional mode" offering the most features. Professional mode offers Digital ICE as an option, however when selected, the Digital ICE does not work.I have compared scans with and without digital ICE and they are exactly the same. Scratches and dirt are not removed by the scan.
If I select a more basic mode ("Home Mode") Digital ICE does work. But this other mode does not offer the range of options offered in porfessional mode.
Has anyone out there used Epson Scan software? Has anyone else experienced this problem? Is there other scanning software out there which could fully exploit the features of the Epson scanner I have? I tried Vuescn and it does not seem to be compatible with my scanner, so that is off the table.

You should first read the user manual that came w/your scanner and/or contact Epson tech support.

Optical digital audio input does not work

Hi all,
I am trying to record some of my old DCC cassettes onto my imac, however, for some reason the optical digital input does not work.
I have searched everywhere, tried all settings in audio/midi setup.
I did notice that when I connect the digital cable to the output, the build in audio automatically recognizes it, and switches to 'digital output'.
Analog input does work fine. I am running a 3.06 GHz intel core 2 duo with mac os 10.6.8. Digital cables are fine too (can play on my receiver).

When you do check for updates are you getting any error messages? Why are you stating that SU does not work?

When filling a Digital Signature field from a mobile app, signature does not show Reader or Acrobat

Scenario :
1. Receiving a pdf form with digital siganture field.
2. Signing form using various pdf apps. " PDF EXPERT for iPad/iPhone"
3. After signing and emailing the document, opening in reader or Acrobat, the signature does not display but the field is gone, as if it was signed.
* Is reader /acrobat requiring a validation that it is not receiving to show the signature?
Did verify that the signature shows in Chrome, using chromes default pdf viewer.
