LC4: how start Acrobat action wizard script or trigger preflight correction?

Hi!
I need to work with layers (OCG) in a single site PDF.
seperate the different element types into different layers (done by preflight correction script)
hide the text layer
export the pdf without the hidden text-layer as img
import the new img as background layer.
save pdf
I was able to do all steps in 4 different action wizard scripts in Acrobat XI. How can I access them in a LiveCycle process?
If this is not possible, how can I access preflight corrections into a LiveCycle process to achieve the same?
Thanks a lot!
Andreas

  • How to know the processing ordering in Acrobat Action wizard

    Acrobat Action wizard process the files in a specific folder , I would like to know the ordering citeria of the acrobat, is it based on alphaethic/ numeric order just the same as sorting function in PHP?
    Since I have to get the last file in the files list, if the ordering citeria is different from PHP , it is hard to tell.
    Thanks.

    If you need the files processed in a specific order you're better off not counting on the order used in an Action.
    My solution to this problem is to collect the file paths of the files processed by the Action in a global array and then process them using my code (from a folder-level script), which can sort them in whatever way I need them to be sorted.

    If you click on the question mark ( as shown below) on the right of Configurator  2 window
    the user guide installed on your computer within Configurator 2  will open
    Anyway once you have your action or script button  in your panel you must select it and configure it in the  inspector palette

  • Acrobat XI Action Wizard

    Does Adobe offer any automation process to assist with Acrobat action wizard items?

    Hi JackAlspaugh
    No , Adobe doesn't provide to access those features through command line , You need to open it and run it. If you want this feature to be included, please raise your request at https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/mmform/index.cfm?name=wishform

  • Using Action Wizard on encrypted files in Acrobat X

    I am trying to use the Action Wizard to execute batch commands on encrypted files in Acrobat X but it keeps saying it can't open the document. In Preferences, I have the Security Method set to Password Security under Action Wizard, but it never prompts me for a password. Is there something else I need to set?

    I found the problem. I needed to change "Starts with:" from "A File Open in Acrobat" (the default in Create New Action) to "Ask When Action is Started".

  • Using Actions wizard to save 20.000 pdfs as post script

    Hello
    I have  a problem when i try to use the Action wizard to convert 20k pdf to post script... i works finde if i use it on a small number of documents but acrobat crashes if i try to load the entire folder.
    Im using Acrobat XI on an imac OSX yosemite.
    Is it possible to make it so that Acrobat only opens one file at the time?

    Acrobat does load only one file at a time. However, it is not very efficient at all when it comes to batch processes and tends to get stuck or to crash after several hundred files, from my experience. So either do it in batches or look for a more robust tool for this task.

  • How to alter text after Calendar Wizard script creates a calendar

    I mainly work with Photoshop, so I'm new to the InDesign world.  I set my options for the Calendar Wizard script, it goes through the motions, makes the calendar, and then shows my finished product.  The problem is that it lists the year next to each month:  May 2012, June 2012, etc., and I need to remove "2012" from all of them.  I know the font styles will update the entire calendar when they are applied, so I hope this works in a similar way.  I'm guessing this is a very simple task if you're familiar with the program, haha!
    Thanks in advance for any help!

    It sounds more like you are asking how to remove 2012 from several pages, rather than how to edit the script to not put 2012 in to begin with. If I'm wrong about that, you might want to ask over at the scripting forum.
    One easy way to remove 2012 is to use Find/Change. If you search for 2012 and leave the change field blank, it will replace 2012 with nothing. In the Find/Change window, there is a field that will let you search from the cursor location to the end of the current story, the whole story, all stories in the document, or all open documents. If you set it to Document, you can use the find button to find the first instance, and if you want to delete it, you can hit either Change, Change/Find (which will change it and look for the next instance), or Change All. I'd use Change/Find, in the event you have 2012 on another part of the calendar that you want to keep. You can also have it look for the text only when it has a particular paragraph or character style, and change to the same or a different paragraph or character style. To do that, click in the Find Format and Change Format boxes. To clear them out, hit the little trash can icon next to the field.

  • How to name a layer with the file name - action or script???

    Hi all,
    Can anyone tell me if it is possible to automatically name a photoshop layer to be the name of the file itself?
    I have 600 files to do and need to automate the process.
    Thanks in advance for any advice.
    Marvo.

    Open ExtendScript Toolkit this can be found here:-
    PC: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Utilities
    MAC: <hard drive>/Applications/Utilities/Adobe Utilities
    Copy and paste the code into a new window and then save the code to:-
    PC: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS#\Presets\Scripts
    Mac:- [hard drive]/Applications/Adobe Photoshop CS#/Presets/Scripts/
    If photoshop was open, close and re-start it so that Photoshop can pick up the new script.
    Now you can create an action to run the script and do your save so that this action can be batched.
    To add the script to your action:
    File - Scripts - select the script (this will add the new layer)

  • How do I Action Script buttons, so the objects lay on the prior object clicked on, in Flash?

    Here's my idea but having problems with the actions scripting:
    Accessories and build your car application in Flash.
    I'm new to the Action Script 3 and I am trying to Action Script my custom graphics for a “build your own car”. Something similar to the Harley Davidson motorcycle builder https://www.harley-davidson.com/en_US/Content/Pages/H-D1/Bike-Builder.html#/locale__en_US/ model__FLD/year__2013
    I have all the graphics (multiple photos, photoshopped and cut out for the different car body colors. I'm doing the same with the car rim choices, etc) All the graphics are sized so they will lay on top of one another seamlessly but I don't know how to Action Script 3 the buttons so you can click on (ex: rim1, or rim2 , etc and see how it looks on car by pulling up the photo on top of the existing background car photo) .
    How would I Action Scrip my "color button" to come up with 10 color swatches I’ve designed and then when you click on the color swatch (ex: red). It will then put the graphic red of the car body that I have already made on top of the existing background photo of the car and so on for each color button?
    Thanks for the help in advance!

    I'm not sure if I do know how to correctly create the Wheels classes and use action scripting. Are the classes you're referring to the parts I labeled btn1, btn2 below? Here's what I have under the main Timeline labeled actions:
    stop() ;
    // Color button code //
    colorbtn.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, btn1);
    function btn1 (event:MouseEvent) :void{
        gotoAndStop (2);
    // Rims button code //
    rimsbtn.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, btn2);
    function btn2 (event:MouseEvent) :void{
        gotoAndStop (3);
    //rim1 button code //
    rim1.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, btn3);
    function btn3 (event:MouseEvent) :void{
        gotoAndStop (4);
    I'm not sure how to fit your code in that you said in your first comment. The //rim1 button code // doesn't currently work.
    I think if I had a sequence of the action script 3 with a button/movie clip layed out for me, I could organize accordingly for my buttons and movie clips. Since they would work the same just would have to have different labels.

  • Action wizard (Acrobat Pro)

    This question was posted in response to the following article: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/acrobat/using/WSdd9016941e183011-149709e812b380ff7dd-8000.html

    "You can avoid password prompts when you run a sequence on PDFs that require passwords. Automate password entry, or specify a security method for these files in the Action Wizard panel of the Preferences dialog box. If you select Do Not Ask For Password, PDFs that require passwords are not processed."
    Choosing Password Security in the Preferences>Action Wizard does NOT prompt for a password in Adobe Pro XI, like it did in X.  This no longer works.  What is the fix?  There is no way to Remove Security from a Folder in XI because the password prompt never occurs.  The Action Wizard created to 'change security to none' does nothing.

File are able to print even though the password sercuity  are tick with restrict printing. I need regarding this issue. Currently manually redo all the password setting for all file.

    I started Acrobat DC in my laptop, it said, "Please connect to the internet and retry." I did have internet connection as I could browse the net. So I checked out the internet time and it is synchronized with time.windows.com.
    Do I need to set it to synchronize to time.nist.gov?

    Hi stephenn9960323,
    Considering this error, I would suggest you to please refer the following KB doc link and try out the troubleshooting steps:
