I purchased an IPEVO Ziggi HD, how do I use this with LCD projector? I have MacBook Air which has thunderbolt and HDMI...
Make sure the drive is formatted Mac OS Extended (Journaled)
1. Quit iPhoto
2. Copy the iPhoto Library from your Pictures Folder to the External Disk.
3. Hold down the option (or alt) key while launching iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Choose Library' and navigate to the new location. From that point on this will be the default location of your library.
4. Test the library and when you're sure all is well, trash the one on your internal HD to free up space.

The Air has mini-Displayport video out, so depending what ports the monitors have (mini-displayport? DVI? VGA? HDMI?) you will need the appropriate adaptor (eg, miniDP to HDMI) and probably also a cable (eg a standard HDMI or DVI cable).
You can get most of the adaptors/cables from Apple here:

but can usually find them cheaper online elsewhere.
Edit: the only way, I believe, that you could attach two monitors to the Air would be to use a USB adaptor for the second monitor. Something like this:

I have a new Macbook Pro. Trying to migrate files etc from my Macbook Air using a Thunderbolt Cable between them.
I follow the directions but the two computers never "discover" each other - using a WiFi connection works but 70 hours is a rough deal.
(Mac OS 10.8.2 on both computers)Are you trying target disk mode?

How to charge mid 2011 macbook air battery using Thunderbolt display
While trying to organize all my computer miscellaneous (cords, adapters & so on), I came across an adapter on a little card with the comment, "For use with your Thunderbolt Display and Mac with MagSafe 2 port." Appears to be for charging my mid 2011 MacBook Air via the Thunderbolt Display -- what might be the advantages/disadvantages in doing so? I found the info. in the product manuals to be pretty skimpy about this.

LindaSo, I guess the adapter came with the display just in case I had a compatible Mac. I should have noted that on the card. Now, about the rest of the stuff in my Apple mystery box...that's for another day.

Thanks.Good question! The simple answer is, I haven't the foggiest idea. I will be going abroad, so don't know what kind of OHP i will have to use. I have a lead that connects with a tv (HDMI - I think). But am not sure about OHPs.

The GPU is working harder because it has to manage two displays, and one of them with a big resolution. You should not be worried, more when fans are working correctly.
What you can do is to decrease the Thunderbolt Display resolution in System Preferences > Displays, but note that you will lose image quality -

Using the mini hdmi cord to connect the macbook air and my tv I cannot seem to have anything appear or be heard on my tv.. the MacBook air will flash blue like it is connecting but nothing will seem to work Any advice?

Have you tried reinstalling Microsoft Word? Have you tried reinstalling Office? Have you run any updates recently for Microsoft Office? There was one that came out this week. You may wish to ask this question over at the Microsoft Word forums, there's a good chance you'll get a better answer as well. I am out of space on my Macbook Air and have a Time Machine Backup. I want to complete reset my mac, but wonder if I can pick and choose what I restore to my computer? Can I also use my time machine backup as external storage as well for the files I don't need everyday?
If you are using "Restore from Time Machine Backup" option from OS X Recovery, you can only choose from the broad categories presented.

To be clear, if you are asking if you can use the volume containing your Time Machine backup to store additional, non-Time Machine files, the short answer is yes.
It's not a good idea though, since the Time Machine backup will eventually fill all available space, after which it begins to remove old, "expired" backups to make room for newer ones. The presence of additional files doesn't change that fact, and Time Machine will not erase them, but you will encounter a dilemma should you want to store additional files on that volume when there is no remaining space. You will have to make room for them on your own, by deleting existing files. Furthermore, since Time Machine cannot back up its own volume, those additional files will not be backed up by Time Machine.
The easy solution for what you describe is to purchase additional external storage. External USB hard disk drives have become very inexpensive; about $55 will buy a perfectly suitable 1 TB drive.
You can also choose to replace your MacBook Air's internal storage with a larger capacity one. Look for a suitable replacement from OWC / MacSales:

That gets a little more expensive but it is the optimum solution. -

Trouble with slow Macbook Air. I have first generation MacBook Air and have a hard time keeping hard drive from being full. After trashing many docs, I have almost 5 gigs available, but mac is slow and I keep getting color wheel when I use Mail. I'd like to install Lion, but now I'm afraid it will slow down my machine even further. Do I have enough free hard disc space? Is Mail problem related to free hard disc space? Thanks for your help!
