LCD TV can't display iBook desktop properly

The Sony Bravia LCD TV I bought was delivered today. The problem is when I connect my iBook to it thru a VGA cable, only the wallpaper is displayed on the TV screen. I wonder why...

My TV's native resolution is 1366 x 768. There are a few choices and I believe there is 1024 x 768. My friend brought his 17" PowerBook to my home and the TV screen failed to dislay properly too. The PowerBook's resolution is 1440 x 900. This time I am sure there are no exact corresponding choices in the TV menu.

You have to following these step to run form on firefox,
Run the following file,
1) C:\DevSuiteHome_1\jinit\jinit.exe
2) jvm.dll copy this file to the following path,
C:\Program Files\Oracle\JInitiator 1.3.1.22\bin\hotspot
3) And firefox connection settiong with 'No-Proxy'
The above setting it will help full you to run your form on firefox.

My firefox can't display some images properly under Win 8.1x64.

The lower half of some images just can\t display well. I tried disable the hardware acceleration but it didnt help.

Use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot.

Mac Safari can't display ikea website properly but iPad Safari can

Anyone noticed this? I was browsing Ikea website on my Mac mini today, and realize the color and buy online option for the furniture can't de displayed on the Mac Safari, but my iPad Safari can display these options without any problem. I thought it's the Mac Safari, so I switched to Firefox, still, no color and buy online options...

The purpose of this exercise is to determine whether the problem is localized to your user account, or is system-wide. Enable guest logins and log in as Guest. For instructions, launch the System Preferences application, select “Help” from the menu bar, and enter “Set up a guest account” (without the quotes) in the search box.
While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your personal files or settings. Any application you run will behave as if you were running it for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin.
As Guest, launch Safari and test. Same problem(s)?
After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it.

Mac mini; Can I display the desktop on the HDMI port

Safari can't display image color properly?

i've made a logo for my website. the logo's background color should be the same as the webpage background, and yes it is on Firefox (Mac/PC) and Internet Explorer (PC).
But Safari shows it differently. Here is the page: http://www.sinnovate.net
Any ideas?
(It's a Intel iMac c2d 10.4.8, i've also tried it on Mac Mini, same result)

On which platform (PC or Mac) did you create the logo, and with what application(s)?

QuickView, Preview.. etc. Can't Display PSD files

I've been having this problem for some time now - as far back as can remember with OS X.
When I try to view a psd file, (prior to Lep) in Preview or Xee, all I get is the transparent Alpha Channel - ie usually a solid blank neutral gray or checker board white and gray. And as of Leopard (and Snow Leo), this situation now includes Quickview. I get no actual image, or sometimes part of an image displayed, but never the full image that is displayed in PS or PSE.
The ONLY exceptions to this problem I have found is an ancient app called ACDSee v1.6.9 (2001) and Quicktime Player. Both display psd files perfectly.
The preferences to save Image Previews: Always Save, Icon, Full Size, Mac Thumbnail, Windows Thumbnail.
Am I saving psd files wrong somehow so that the default system apps can not display psd files properly?
BTW - this problem is completely consistent on EVERY system I have tried it on regardless of the OS X version (Tiger, Leo, Snow Leo) and Photoshop version (PSE 2, 4, 5, 6; PS 7, CS1, CS2).
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. This is a very irritating problem..

This isn't an issue or something you are doing incorrectly, PSD is an Adobe format that is not widely supported. You need to open it within your Adobe application, such as Photoshop.

Suppose I'm rendering on the new '27 iMac, how much time the LCD screen can stay on and displaying the same image? (Like the desktop, or a very slow progress bar).
And, if there is a difference, how much time it can stay simply on and showing differents images?
I have to use a screen saver? (but it consume some power to the rendering) If yes, after how much time? And what kind of screen saver, simply black screen or somethig animated?
I have to turn off the display only? (but this can conflict with some particular software...) If yes, after how much time?

Drag applications from your main desktop off the right side of the screen and they will appear on the TV. This is the extended desktop mode.

I've found this on the Ubuntu forum, which seems to be my issue. It doesn't matter what I set up in xorg.conf file, it ignores it.
It references a file called "kcmrandrrc", which doesn't seem to exist on my system. I am not sure where KDE is getting the 320x200, 320x240, 400x300,...,640x480, 800x600 and 1024x768 graphics modes. It's not from xorg.conf.
I found this file...

Then you put in the 1400x900 that you wanted in the Modes line.
If you are to use Xorg -configure successfully, you will need to do it from a console screen. If you are using like kdm or gdm, I would suggest that you log out, then go to a console screen (<ctrl><alt><f1>) and then log in to an account. You will need to su, and then issue the following command to shut down x: telinit 3 that command should shut down X and your login manager.
After that you can run Xorg -configure and do whatever else you need with it.
Then, to get back to what you had before, the command telinit 5 should restore you back to your gdm or kdm or whatever. (Normally <Ctrl><Alt><F7> will get you back to your login manager, if it doesn't try F6 or F8 until you find it.)

Can the phone site be disabled and have phones display the desktop site while designing phone site?

Currently, I have a live desktop design website which is being updated regularly. I tried to begin a phone site design, but was interrupted with a change to the desktop site (I'm adding new sponsors to an event on a regular basis). When I uploaded to the FTP, the phone site was also pushed through, making an unfinished page pop up on the browser of my phone. My phone site is going to be quite large in regards to page number and it's not practical to disable and enable each individual page.
Can I have the phone site entirely disabled and have phones display the desktop site while in the process of designing the phone app? I will still need to update the desktop site during this design period.

Manager's desktop - message "No subject categories can be displayed"

One of our users when he runs PPMDT transaction there is a message (on the bottom status line):
"No subject categories can be displayed" and nothing is displayed.
What is the problem ?
Manager's desktop works fine for many users, and in my opinion configuration and roles are correct.

Can my computer display 'extended desktop' with a second monitor?

I believe I have a G4 Quicksilver 867 (2001) (bought it used and figuring out which model G4 is not that easy). I recently got a second monitor, but I only seem to have the option to have a mirrored setup (which works well). Is there anything I can do or rather what are my options to get it to show extended desktop. My video card is

I bought this computer as a second (do taxes, surf the internet, connected to my wireless router, escape my three kids wanting to use the primary). I've been very happy with it for its limited use (my primary is one of the first Imac G5's).
