What are you referring with "Microsoft"? If you are referring to Windows, all Macs come with OS X, but you can install Windows in Boot Camp or in a virtual machine.
If you are referring to Microsoft Office, Microsoft sells Office for Mac > http://www.microsoft.com/mac It does not come preinstalled in Macs

Close MacBook Pro with second display

Hi I'm new here and just got my MacBook Pro this morning... Anyway, i was wondering if there was a way to close the macbook without it going to sleep. I have an lcd that i would like to connect the macbook to and use mirroring, but whenever i close the macbook the macbook's screen shuts off the it goes to sleep. Is there any way to close the Macbook and shut off the screen, but keep the macbook running so i can mirror my desktop on the lcd?

I believe the correct way to do it is
1) Add external mouse / keyboard
2) Put MBP to sleep
3) Attach display
4) Wake computer via external mouse / keyboard
Thats the way that works for me.

Screen Replaced On Macbook Pro Now No Boot

I had 2 separate incidents with replacing the lcd on macbook pro's. After replacing the lcd it boots up fine the first time then after a reset or shut down i get the status bar loading with spinning wheel. i know a re-install will fix it and I've tried disk repair with no luck im just wondering if anyone else has had this issue with replacing the LCD or has any advice on what could be causing this. Yes.... But most of the time, users take their MacBooks for repairs in the Apple repair centres or Apple stores for a flat depot rate (Out of warranty or self damaged machines). So, it was just my own thought.......
And its a bit unlikely that the OP has replaced the LCD on his own....
However, the OP has not yet disclosed about the people involved in the LCD repair. So the thoughts of either you or me are just “Hypothetical”....

If you have an external drive equal to or larger than your internal HD, clone your internal to it with either Carbon Copy Cloner or Super Duper. Test the clone to make sure it's bootable. Then upgrade either one. Try it out first.

For a 2010+ MBP you can connect with a Displayport to HDMI, which will include Audio.
With older MBP you will need a displayport to HDMI, if you want audio to the actually TV, then you will need to get a cable with either digital out from MBP to the HDMI, or USB audio mixed into the HDMI

How do I connect a 2013 Macbook Pro Retina to an Epson Power Lite 61p LCD Projector?

I am trying to attach an Epson PowerLite 61p LCD Projector to my 2013 Macbook Pro Retina, but I cannot find which type of adapter I need. I would assume whichever adapter is required it must connect via thunderbolt. However, I do not know if the required adapter is a "Mini Display Port to VGA Adapter," "Apple Mini DVI to VGA Adapter," or a "Thunderbolt to VGA Adapter." It does not matter whether you get an Apple adapter or a third pary one. What you have there is a Mini Displayport to VGA adapter, but as you know, your new MacBook no longer has an MDP port!
Thunderbolt to VGA adapters do not exist but there are plenty of HDMI to VGA adapters out there:

Macbook Pro connection to Sony Bravia LCD Color TV

I have a macbook pro and I'm trying to connect it a Sony Bravia LCD Color Television. The macbook detects the sony tv and brings up a dialogue box about it. However, on the tv it says no signal. Anyone have any suggestions as to why this is happening?

I had the same problem with a 1080i Bravia Sony and a MacBook Pro connected with a DVI-HDMI lead - it turned out to be a very simple solution - you have to make sure you are looking at the right AV channel on the TV. The mapping of AV1-6 to the ports on the back is not obvious at all (in this case it was AV4 that was the correct AV port). The Bravia also has the option to skip AV channels if desired - so if in the preferences you have disabled ports then you need to make them available to skip through.
The picture is very sharp indeed with a DVI-HDMI lead - far far superior to a vanilla SVGA cable. Sound is automatically selected from an analogue input (2xphono) on one of the HDMI ports so make sure you select the right one on the back.
(p.s. just to emphasize - the DVI-HDMI does not map to the 'PC' port it is another AV channel)

I want to connect my 2009 Macbook Pro to my Samsung LCD TV. I am afraid to go somewhere and ask and get bogus information so am putting it out here to see if anyone can help with the how tos and the types of cords/adapters I might need to purchase.

You might profit from a visit to a Minneapolis Apple store. With a brand new Mac, I think they will be most helpful - not just with transferring files, but with other advice as well. And I strongly recommend you invest in a back up drive. The Apple folk can help with that as well.

When I go into the Audio Midi Setup utility, I am unable to configure my speakers to be anything but 2 channel stereo. I am given the options for "2ch-16bit", "2ch-20bit", "2ch-24bit" and "Encoded Digital Audio". When I select "Encoded Digital Audio", my output automatically changes to Built-in Output. I have tested it with the Moshi (http://store.apple.com/us/product/H1824ZM/A/moshi-mini-dp-to-hdmi-adapter-with-a udio-support) and Belkin (http://store.apple.com/us/product/HA342ZM/A/belkin-mini-displayport-to-hdmi-adap ter) adapters, both purchased from the Apple Store with no such luck. Have you or anyone else had success with any other third-party adapters?

How to output Macbook Pro VGA to LCD TV in full screen mode?

I Have a Macbook Pro 2007 with DVI to VGA output. I have connected it to my Toshiba LCD TV and am able to get a screen image on the TV without any difficulty. The problem is that the TV display is not full screen. I can't find any way to increase the size of the picture on the TV. Is this a limitation of the output or the TV display?

Macbook Pro to VIZIO LCD TV via HDMI Grainy Video Quality?

So when I bought my MacBook Pro back in July 2010, I purchased an assortment of accessories to go with it including a special third-party Mini DisplayPort to HDMI Adapter device off of eBay. The HDMI Adapter device works mostly the way I expected it to. That is, the video and audio signal coming out of the MacBook is channeled into the LCD TV display properly so that I can see the computer video display on the LCD TV and sound is also coming out of the TV too.
Just one minor annoyance: video quality. Actually, the picture is perfectly fine and beautiful, except for some reason I get weird video artifacts that are basically tiny specs that quickly fly across the screen very rapidly and they are all over the video display. Almost like the video signal is partially grainy or fuzzy or something.
I've tried to Google to see if anyone has reported any similar problems, but no luck. I wish I knew exactly what device in this process is the culprit of this behavior; i.e. either the MacBook, the HDMI Adapter, the HDMI Cable, or the LCD TV (Vizio SV470XVT 47" 1080p 120Hz LCD HDTV).
If anyone can help to possibly instruct me how to fix this problem or how to further diagnose the problem, I would greatly appreciate it.
