LDAP connectivity with PI

Hello all,
Can any body please suggest how to connect to LDAP with PI? I don't want to use java proxies.
Thanks,
Kulwant

Hi
But Java proxy based integration is easiest and best for Sync LDAP scenario. Which database you have for LDAP and what kind of system you are trying to integrate.
If wanted to use Java proxy and already not gone through then have a look

  • LDAP connections with multiple proxy instances

    After configuring LDAP connectivity through the Admin application on a machine with multiple proxy instances I end up with:

    Increase the IDLE timeout value on the LDAP server. Of course, this just extends the inevitable. Check if there is a way to disable IDLE timeout on LDAP server.

  • LDAP connection with windows catalogue server

    Hi Gurus,
    I want your help for below issue
    Requirement is there is one customized table which will be accessed by SM30, user will enter user id and its email address should come automatically from windows global catalogue server(Non-SAP system), For this i referred one doc attached below
    http://santy.wdfiles.com/local--files/sap-pages/SAP_User_Mgmt_Via_LDAP.pdf
    According to this seems RFC creation, LDAP connector configuration, and LDAP server configuration required in SAP, i have asked basis team to do the same.
    Now my question is is this the responsibility of Basis team to configure LDAP connector and LDAP server also how i can access LDAP directory through ABAP program?
    please help me step by step if possible.

    Reinfire,
    I tried your terminal window patch but it failed to solve my issue.  Most people seem to be trying to connect to NAS devices from their Macs.  In my case, all my data is on a Drobo hanging off my Mac Pro.  I've been using SMB to share video from my Mac to both a Boxee Box and a Raspberry Pi running  Openelec (XBMC).  While both these devices can handle afp, the old Boxee Box is less than astute with afp so SMB was the method of choice for stability.
    Anyway, both devices can no longer see the SMB shares off the Mac Pro, even after your patch.  After runnig you patch, I restarted and the nsmb.conf file is created.  But, no luck on connecting with these apparently non SMB2 devices.
    I can change all my shares over the afp but this will take a lot of button pushing that I'd rather not do.  Any suggestions for this scenario?

  • Ldap connection with weblogic console and authentification with java

    Hello,
    I want that my web application use ldap authentification for users and that all parameters (host, port, base, ...) are configured by weblogic console.
    I managed to do it by security-->realms-->.... , but now, I want to perform authentification in my java code.
    I don't know how realized it because I don't know how use my ldap connection in java code without redefine parameters into my code...
    can anyone help me please?
    thanks a lot for your help.

    Hey,
    on a windows server system you have to put the target system CA Certificate in the local Trusted System Certificate Store of Microsoft Server. Then the connection should work.
    On a Java System you have to put the CA in the Key Storage of the SAP System.
    I think on Unix you could use the SAPCRYPTOLIB to place the CA in  the abap system.
    Kind regards,

  • Setting LDAP connection with Certificate

    Hi all,
    i need to setup LDAP connetction to verify recipient email address in incoming.
    LDAP is protected by SSL,do i need a certificate?
    how can i get a certificate? i mean what is the right procedure to request a certificate to CA , internal one that manages Domain Controllers,and install it in ironport ESA?
    thanks a lot
    smaikol

    Hi Smaikol,
    On thicase to use the LDAPS (LDAP over SSL), the Microsoft Server will need to meet the requirements you just mentioned, it will need an SSL certificate from a third party CA (Certificate authority)
    Requirements for an LDAPS certificate
    To enable LDAPS, you must install a certificate that meets the following requirements:
    The LDAPS certificate is located in the Local Computer's Personal certificate store (programmatically known as the computer's MY certificate store).
    A private key that matches the certificate is present in the Local Computer's store and is correctly associated with the certificate. The private key must not have strong private key protection enabled.
    The Enhanced Key Usage extension includes the Server Authentication (1.3.6.1.5.5.7.3.1) object identifier (also known as OID).
    The Active Directory fully qualified domain name of the domain controller (for example, DC01.DOMAIN.COM) must appear in one of the following places:
    The Common Name (CN) in the Subject field.
    DNS entry in the Subject Alternative Name extension.
    The certificate was issued by a CA that the domain controller and the LDAPS clients trust. Trust is established by configuring the clients and the server to trust the root CA to which the issuing CA chains.
    You must use the Schannel cryptographic service provider (CSP) to generate the key.
    Now to get the pertinent certificate you will need to create a request, you will be able to find those instructions and further information within the following link:
    -   http://support.microsoft.com/kb/321051/en-us
    Let me know how it works out!

    where cert file name is the filename with complete path.the file is a CA certificate of the LDAP server

  • Issue with LDAP Connection becuase of Network issue

    Hello All,
    We have some network issues going on which is causing the NIC (Network interface card) to failover to another NIC. Due to this failover SUN access manager's LDAP connection pool fills up and we see errors in logs "Directory is down". We have to restart the Access manager to resolve this issue which refresh the connection pool of LDAP.
    Now we have set the setting as recommended in admin guide/tuning guide. Like
    1. Set event connection idle timeout to less that firewall or loadbalancer idle timeout value.
    2. event connection retry count and interval on perticular error code.
    Despite of above settings its not working out. Is there other way to get all the stale connections back to the LDAP pool without restarting the server?
    Or something which handles the network failover or failback?
    Regards
    Chetan Kulshrestha

    The user search name is the value you should be looking at in the LDAP attributes, that's the one that it will send to LDAP on a logon attempt. If you changed this value after mapping a group, I'm not sure but you may have to remap the group to get the change.
    So on the LDAP side verify the user search attribute = the username you expect to login with (i.e. cn, samaccountname, uid, etc)

    Tim

    Well, it sounds like the certificate name is different than what you are trying to connect to. Can you try connecting to the DNS name instead? This sounds like a DNS and Certificate Name issue.

  • HELP: Can not connect LDAP server with 64bit ldap csdk5.08 on Solaris10

    We are using 64bit ldap csdk5.08 on SunOS5.10. But it doesn't work.
    We wrote a simple client program that connects using ldap_simple_bind_s() function. When I run the code it gives an error saying 'Can't connect to the LDAP server - Connection refused' .
    At the same time using snoop to capture network packages on the ldap server , it shows no package received at all.
    But if we use 32bit ldap library, the program works well and no error is raised.
    And the 64bit ldap tool ldapsearch also works well, it can search data from the server successfully.
    The sample code:
    ==================================================
    #include <ldap.h>
    #include <stdio.h>
    int
    main( int argc, char **argv )
         LDAP *ld;
         int rc;
         /* Get a handle to an LDAP connection. */
         if ( (ld = ldap_init( "150.236.42.53", 38902)) == NULL )
              perror( "ldap_init" );
              return( 1 );
         /* Bind anonymously to the LDAP server. */
         rc = ldap_simple_bind_s( ld, NULL, NULL );
         if ( rc != LDAP_SUCCESS )
              ldap_perror(ld, "ldap_simple_bind_s:");
         return( 1 );
    }

    This looks like a mismatch between C-sdk libraries and Solaris native libraries.
    Are you sure your program loads the correct libraries ?

  • LDAP multidirectory with sub-domains

    Hi,
    i have some difficulties using LDAP COM object that comes with the IP phone Services SDK. I would like to search the whole AD, which has multiple subdomains. I would like to search the whole directory structure, with the base: DC=company, DC=country, without specifying any particular OU. However, the connection with this kind of directory base configuration fails (the COM object is not created), so i can not search the whole directory, only specific OUs. Is there any way to achieve searching the whole directory structure?

I mean, the don't reboot, but they have no "domain-functionality". I have seen, that the all the controllers make a (I guess) LDAP-connection to the first installed OES2 Domain-Controller. I don't know why. Is this normal? Can I change this?
    What I have to say is, that we connected to each (Sub-)Domain through a trust or a forrest a real MS AD. We put our workstations into the real AD and through the trust or forrest we get the users from eDir or DSfW.
    As I know no one has a construct like our company here in Austria, so nobody could help me. Maybe the community does!

    Hi,
    When the VPN tunnel is broken or the first domain controller of the DSfW parent (first) domain is down, is the complete of eDirectory tree (all the partitions) still available (reachable)to the domain controllers of the DSfW sub-domains (child domains). You can place additional read-write replicas on the other DCs (for the partitions that are missing) if the complete eDirectory tree is not available when one of the above two conditions occur.

    I have a Mac OS X Version 10.5.2 with the Leopard system installed. I thought that buying and installing the Leopard system, this problem would be eliminated however I was wrong. If you know how to fix it (and no the iChat's Connection Doctor did not work either, i just recieved this :
    "2008-03-31 17:02:43 -0400: No data has been received for the last 10 seconds.
    Audio channel info: local machine using 192.168.1.2:16402, expecting remote machine to send to 68.46.109.106:55001
    Video channel info: local machine using 192.168.1.2:16402, expecting remote machine to send to 68.46.109.106:55001")
    However if you know hot to fix it please please respond! =)

    Hi,
    I take it you have an Internet connection that is fast enough to cope with iChat ?
    I take it you have set the System Preferences > Quicktime > Streaming for iChat to take advantage of this ? (1.5Mbps)
    and Restarted iChat to see the new speed setting ?
    Error 20 means the call was connected and then something stopped it proceeding.
    This something is most likely a Modem with an SPI or DOS firewall setting that thinks the amount of data iChat sends is an Internet Attack.
    As you have the Error 20 the other end is the most likely source of the Problem and they probably have Error 7 as the cutting of the connection (on one port) is likely to be closer to their computer (their modem or router).
    It would be helpful if we knew which devices were involved at each end.

  • How to disable SSLv3 and keep only TLS for LDAP connection.

    Hi,
    I'm planning to keep only TLSv1.2 for LDAP connections.
    I tried to set LDAP_OPT_SSL_INFO in LDAP Session Options using a SecPkgContext_ConnectionInfo Structure with dwProtocol SP_PROT_TLS1_2_CLIENT(as described here -  https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/7544226d-97e1-4dae-a377-e382c2281e91/how-to-set-up-tls-in-ldap-connection?forum=vcgeneral),
    but it returns LDAP_PARAM_ERROR.
    I tried to call this function directly after ldap_sslinit/ldap_init and before ldap_connect() - without success, I tried to use other parameters with default values, I tried to initialize them by 0/other possible values - and also no success.
    How I can do this?
    Thanks for your advices.
