LDAP CUA problem -- Could not logon to directory

Hi Experts,
I'm facing difficulties in accessing Active directory from SAP.
The LDAP Connectors were setup correctly  (status with Green light).
The System User were also setup as: UserID :DirectoryUser; Distinguished Name:"cn=DirectoryManager" (DirectoryManager is a username in my Active Directory)
The LDAP Servers were also setup as: Hostname="sapserver001.abc.com", port number="389", Product name="MS03 Microsoft Windows 2003 Active Directory (Domain Mode)", Protocol Version="LDAP Version 3", LDAP Application="User", Base entry           ="ou=Company00", System Logon="DirectoryUser"
But when I tried to logon the directory, system returns message:"Could not logon to directory"
Could not logon to directory
Message no. LDAPRC049
Diagnosis
The combination of user name (DN) and password transferred to the directory was not accepted by the directory.
Procedure
Check the set or entered data for the user and password for the directory.
If you are using an application with which you do not need to enter this data directly, you can find the data as configuration setting in the LDAP server used ("System User" field).
Procedure for System Administration
Check whether you can log on to the directory with the entered data using the LDAP protocol.
Note: A frequent error when using the Microsoft Active Directory is that the user enters their Microsoft Windows user name instead of the full Distinguished Name, since it is also possible to log on to the directory using this Microsoft Windows logon with Microsoft tools (such as ldp.exe). However, these tools do not use the user/password logon used by the SAP system.
Could anyone help me find the solution?
For more information, I'm using Windows server 2003 as my AD server.
Ad server: sapserver001.abc.com
sap server:sapserver002.abc.com
In the control panel of sapserver001.abc.com., I open "Active Directory users and computers", within abc.com, I created an OU as "Company00", and under that OU, I created the InetOrgPerson "DirectoryManager".
That's all the information I can provide.
Any suggestions will be appreciated.
Thank you very much in advance.
Best regards,
Nick

Hi, all,
Thanks for your reply.
The problem has been solved. that's because I specified wrong user name, if I enter"DirectoryManager" instead of "cn=DirectoryManager" in the Distinguished Name field, it will be ok. or, I should input entire path "cn=DirectoryManager,OU=employees,DC=abci,DC=com".
Just one more question: is there any tools or commands that can display the detail information of Active Directory on windows server 2003? I just wonder whether the detailed path like ""cn=DirectoryManager,OU=employees,DC=abci,DC=com"" can be shown by the tool or command.
And I have run ABAP program RSLDAPSCHEMAEXT to get an LDIF file for SAP fields extention on AD server, after successfully imported into the Directory, where can I find out/verify the added fields which are coming from SAP?
Sorry I'm lack of knowledge of Active Directory, any suggestions are appreciate.
Best regards,
Nick

  • Installing Oracle RAC problem: Could not determine /tmp mount point

    Folks,
Hello. I am installing Oracle 11gR2 RAC using 2 Virtual Machines (rac1 and rac2 whose OS are Oracle Linux 5.6) in VMPlayer and according to the tutorial
    http://appsdbaworkshop.blogspot.com/2011/10/11gr2-rac-on-linux-56-using-vmware.html
I am installing Grid infrastructure. I am on step 7 of 10 (verify Grid installation enviroment) and get this error:
    "Free Space: Rac2: /tmp"
Cause: Could not determine mount point for location specified.
Action: Ensure location specified is available.
    Expected value: n/a
    Actual value: n/a
I have checked the free space using the command:
    [root@Rac2 /]# df -k /tmp
    Output:
Filesystem     1k-blocks     used     Available     Use%     Mounted on
    /dev/sda1     30470144     7826952     21070432     28%     /
As you see above, the free space is enough, but could not determine mount point for /tmp.
Do any folks understand how to determine the mount point for directory /tmp ?
    Thanks.

    Folks,
Hello. I have found the file ./bash_profile under /home/ora11g/ and the file is invisible. However, I edit the file using the command:
    [ora11g@Rac2 ~]$ vi /home/ora11g/.bash_profile
I add the 2 lines into the file as below:
    TMP=/tmp; export TMP
    TMPDIR=$TMP; export TMPDIR
I save the file .bash_profile and reboot Oracle Linux 5.6 and check again on step 7 of 10 in the Installer, but the problem is still not solved.
Can any folk help to solve the strange problem "could not determine mount point for /tmp" ?
    Thanks.

  • Could not clean working directory during the Livecycle ES 8.2.1 installation

    Hi,
while using Adobe Livecycle Configuration Manager, I am getting the following error. How could I get around this problem?
Failed on    'Executing merge scripts for adobe-livecycle-native-weblogic-x86_win32.ear'
    Could not clean working directory
    reg,
    Raj

I'm posting my experiences with this error because it can hopefully help other people.  I was getting the same error during the Configure LiveCycle ES (1 of 3) screen after clicking the Configure button.  It would fail around 75% with a prompt saying error code ALC-LCM-000-000 and could not clean working directory.  The progress log would indicate the failure at executing merge scripts for adobe-livecycle-native-weblogic-x86_win32.ear.  I was installing LC ES 8.2.1 SP3 + QF 3.19 with the Forms and Output components on a Windows 2003 platform.
Rename working dir (LC support suggestion)
Rename c:\adobe\livecycle8.2\configurationManager\working to be like working.old.  Re-run ConfigurationManager (CM).  Didn't help since I saw the same error message.
Clicked Configure again on and it went 100% without any problems.  The rest of the install went just fine.
    Reinstall Adobe LC ES 8.2
I was getting the same type of error on another box, but clicking Configure wasn't getting past 75% again.
Reboot of the box didn't help on the next attempt.
    Reinstall LC ES 8.2 worked
Used the Add/Remove programs to remove Adobe LC ES 8.2
Reinstalled the software with SP3 + QF 3.19.
Ran CM again and I was able to get past this error.

  • Cisco ISE with AD Problem: "Could not read groups data: Global catalog not found"

    Hi all,
When I make the ActiveDirectory integration with Cisco ISE, I have complete with this integration. but when I try to read the Groups from Active Directory, ISE shows the message "Could not read groups data: Global catalog not found".
My Domain has multiple sites and subnets, each contains GC for local logon. I have set ISE to the correct site and subnet. Forward and Reverse DNS are working with no error.
Does anyone get this problem, please help.
I have check into the ISE CLI Reference Guide 1.1.x
You are about to configure Active Directory settings.
Are you sure you want to proceed? y/n [n]: y
    Parameter Name: dns.servers
    Parameter Value: 10.77.122.135
Active Directory internal setting modification should only be performed if approved by ISE
support. Please confirm this change has been approved y/n [n]: y
What shoud I set in the Parameter Name ? dns.servers or my dns hostname ?
    Please suggest for this too.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Pongsatorn M.

    Hi Pongsatorn,
    Thanks for the reply!
I've attached the results of the ISE detailed AD test. As you can see, there is a fair number of domain controllers in the AD forest.
It seems everything works correctly until it gets to testing the AD connectivity on port 3268. Then I get this:
      Testing Active Directory connectivity:
        Global Catalog: pdascdc02.xyz.com
          gc:       3268/tcp - refused
      Testing Active Directory connectivity:
        Global Catalog: pdascdc02.xyz.com
          gc:       3268/tcp - refused
For some reason, the request to the controllers on port 3268 is being refused.
Any thoughts you might have are greatly appreciated.
    Cheers,
    Greg

  • Installer problems - Could not find the main class

    Hello
I am trying to install openmq on vista and having problems. I've had the same problem with a nightly build of 4.3 and stable 4.2 build. The install kicks off fine until I get to the part where the install happens and then I get:
Java Virtual Machine Launcher : Could not find the main class. Program will exit
I have several sun JREs/JDKs installed and have tried all of them, the installer itself is not impacted:
    jre 1.7.0
    jdk 1.7.0
    jre 1.6.0.7
    jre 1.6.0.7 and jre 1.6.0.7
Am I missing something obvious or is there a way of installing without the java installer ?
    Much obliged
Edited by: Alphawave on Oct 14, 2008 11:39 AM

    Hi,
I've seen this error before on vista. In the past the users saw this message when they didn't have write permission on the directory they were installing to. Even with administrator privileges, they still need write permissions.
    A quick test is to:
login as the user you are installing as.
cd to the directory you are installing into.
touch foo // to see if you can write to the dir.
    Thanks.

  • SAPJCo problem --   Could not initialize dynamic link library sapjcorfc

    Hi there,
I have a J2EE application running on Websphere Application Server ND V6.1 (on MS Windows Server, Enterprise Edition with

SAP JCo, I have created a folder and extracted SAPJCo zip to that, and also copied librfc32.dll & sapjcorfc.dll to
C:\Windows\system32 folder and created the shared libraries at the Application server level on Websphere to point to the
    sapjco.jar file.
Now when I start my J2EE Application on Webpshere, I get hte error which is under the dashed line. The main complaint is.....

    Hi,
The following error is id due to the following cause :
Exception: Exception in thread "main" java.lang.ExceptionInInitializerError: JCO.classInitialize(): Could not load middleware layer 'com.sap.mw.jco.rfc.MiddlewareRFC' default_cpc_mode at com.sap.mw.jco.JCO.<clinit>(JCO.java:309)

Exception: Exception in thread "main" java.lang.ExceptionInInitializerError: JCO.classInitialize(): Could not load middleware layer 'com.sap.mw.jco.rfc.MiddlewareRFC' JCO.nativeInit(): Could not initialize dynamic link library sapjcorfc. Found version "2.0.11 (2005-01-21)" but required version "2.1.5 (2005-02-15)". at com.sap.mw.jco.JCO.<clinit>(JCO.java:735)
Cause: These exceptions typically occur when different versions of sapjcorfc.dll and sapjco.jar have been installed. Anytime the JCo connector is upgraded to a new version, you need to ensure that all three libraries are updated (librfc32.dll, sapjcorfc.dll, and sapjco.jar). If any are left at the older version, one of the above exceptions is likely to occur.
Resolution: Extract sapjcorfc.dll and sapjco.jar from the original JCo archive. Copy these files to the appropriate locations, overwriting the originally installed versions. Ensure that the PATH statement is updated to reflect the directory location of the DLL files and the Java CLASSPATH points to sapjco.jar.
U can use the following link to solve any problem associating JCO :

Please reward with points if the answer is helpful.

  • MS Word 2007 Problem: Could not Change Doc Template

I started getting an error when I open a rules document through OPM. The document usually opens ok, but OPM gives the error "Oracle Policy Modeling was unable to open the document as an error occurred with MicroSoft Word: Could not change document template.
Usually, I can work in the document with no problems, but sometimes when I do the compile of the document that got this message, the compile and save works, but then Word crashes. The compiled document is available through OPM, but it thinks the document needs to be compiled on a build. I've learned to continue without compiling, otherwise Word will crash again.
Other times, the document compiles just fine with no problems with Word.
Occasionally, Word loses the Add-ins list. I've figured out how to attach it again.
Everything was fine until about 2 weeks ago. The only difference I can think of is that Word did an automatic update. I uninstalled and reinstalled OPM, but it hasn't made a difference.
I'm running OPM 10.1.0.27 on XT.
    Any ideas? Thanks,
    Terry

    Hi Terry,
    Try the following workaround:
    1) Rename the word 2003 template (Policy Modeling Word Template) in c:\program files\oracle modeling\templates to another filename
    - This is to force Word 2007 not to load the Word 2003 template
    2) Open the Word document from Policy Modeling
    - To load the Word 2007 template and attached it to the document
    3) Save the document
(Thanks to Red Canda for this.)

  • RFC problem: could not get functionname from XML requst (sic)

I'm developing an interface that attempts to call a receiver RFC on an SAP 4.6c system.  It's a very small simple interface, and it's all working until it tries to call the RFC.  The error is
Exception caught by adapter framework: error while processing message to remote system:com.sap.aii.af.rfc.core.client.RfcClientException: could not get functionname from XML requst: com.sap.aii.af.rfc.RfcAdapterException: failed to read funtionname from XML document: missing namespace declara
I've created an RFC channel, which is green in the adapter monitoring.  The RFC imports without a problem, and appears in my interface mapping.  My mapping program converts to the RFC message type (as evidenced in sxmb_moni.  I have a receiver agreement referencing the interface mapping, which must be working as the mapping is called.
Could anyone point me to what else I could check?  I saw a post about the same error message, where the respondent found something in the logs which helped them  Could you expand on what you found, and in which log please?  Any pointers as to which logging options I could switch on and check would be gratefully received.
    Regards
    Alan Graham

    Thanks for the responses.
I set up a communications channel of type RFC, which is
showing green in the adapter monitor.  If I deliberately
break it, eg by changing the password, the adapter shows
as red in the monitor.  I assume therefore that the
    adaptor settings are correct.
The XML going to the adapter looks correct AFAIK.  My problem is that I don't know enough about the requied XML to know if what I'm seeing in the logs is sufficient.  In SXMB_MONI, in the 'call adapter' section of a failed message, the outbound binding includes
    <SAP:ToInterfaceNamespace>urn:sap-com:document:sap:rfc:functions</SAP:ToInterfaceNamespace>/code]
Also, the interface determination SOAP header, in the MAIN section includes
    [code]<SAP:Receiver>
      <SAP:Party agency="" scheme="" />
      <SAP:Service>D04</SAP:Service>
      <SAP:Interface namespace="urn:sap-com:document:sap:rfc:functions">Z_MPU_3PSCE_FREIGHT_UPLOAD</SAP:Interface>
      </SAP:Receiver>
These are the correct values for the RFC name and the namespace, AFAIK.
I'm using an interface mapping (which uses and ABAP class as the mapping program) which references the interface of the RFC.  The logs tell me this works, ie, the class is called and the resulting XML appears in the payload of the response.

  • Install Problem: "Could not access network location %APPDATA%\."

I get "Could not access network location %APPDATA%\." when trying to install or uninstall itunes. Has anyone seen this. I've tried several of the general troubleshooting topics.

Similar problem..."Could not access network location ." went through all the microsoft repairs for a 1606 error. No resolve. My itunes used to work perfectly then when I went through an itunes initiated update, then my itunes would bring up the error whenever I tried to update. I uninstalled itunes then tried to reinstall without any success. Still get the error. And now I dont have itunes. Has anyone figured this out yet or do I need to abandon and go to droid?
