Ldap - how to check how many users are connected?

Hi Guys,
Please help me.
We have iPlanet installed using LDAP. I want to check in ldap console that how many users are connected currently and monitor that.
please tell me how can i do it

From your description I can understand that you want the user name with app they have in their session.
You can achieve with below command.
Query process User name
Displays information about processes running on a terminal server. You can use this command to find out which programs a specific user is running, and also which users are running a specific program.

You have to get the "RPC Client Access" log file in your CAS server. There you can see a column called "client-mode" and it has two modes such
as "classic" and "cached". From there you can get the two different client assess modes and their corresponding users.
probably take this file openup on excel and filter to see the two modes

Find how many users are connected in the Oracle Server

Hi,
I am using Oracle 10g. My question is, is it possible to find how many users are connected in the Oracle Server. We are having one Server and we are having many client machines which will connect the Oracle.
And one more question in the meanwhile i want to take Backup of one database which client as connected. Is it get any problem to the client machine which is accessing the server. And How to take the backup from the server machine. Any commands to process.

If You run
select count(*) from v$session where username is not null;you'll get the number of users connected to Oracle server,
and yes , you could do backup while users are connect to db you are backing up.

How to Check when the user is connected to different desktop.Sometimes the user maynot see the theme in the personalize theme list. In that case the person must be using different kind of desktop.How to check, I need a path.And how to apply the theme to that user?

Hi,
you can create the new portal desktop from
System Administration => Portal display => Desktop and Display Themes
Select your folder from Portal Content and from its context create new Desktop.
Add The Framework page and the theme to this desktop page.
Go to your folder from Portal Content and from the context of the framework page select add framework page to portal desktop.
Adding Theme to desktop
From Portal content select Theme folder and select the theme right click it and select Add theme to Portal Desktop.
Create rule for the Desktop.
Navigate to System Administration => Portal Display => Desktop and Display Themes Portal Content => Portal Administrators => Super Administrators =>main_rules.
Click Add IF Expression.
create the expression if user = xyz then click on apply
Select the then clause of the if and navigate to your folder where Desktop is created ,Add it and Click Apply.
Save the Changes to the rule.

How to identify which application users are connected to in an rdp session

so we have an rdp gateway with couple of servers acting as brokers. users connect to the RD web access site and see a list of applications. usually these applications are the same but with different parameters like (done through the RemoteApp manager)
app1: C:\Program Files\app.exe arg: C:\appdata\group1\file
app2: C:\Program Files\app.exe arg: C:\appdata\group2\file
i'm trying to find a way to tell which app the users are connecting to at a point with no luck, any help will be appreciated

How many users are connected ?

what is the metric that indicates the number of users actually connected to my OAS ?
I think it's connection.active from .../Apache/ entries but i'm not sure.

Finally my choice is to select the connection.active and request.avg only for the ohs server and compare it on time.
Result (after text corrections) is

I was wondering if there was a way to manage the airport express in such a way that you can see all of the current connected computers, and kick one off if need be.

Need to know the API which will extract how many users are added in group..

I am working in Oracle Portal. In the portal we have Oracle Indentity Management where we are adding users as well as the group. We are looking for an API which helps us to do that from PL/SQL code. We got it but we have some issue. We know that how to create group, add users to group, delete users from group, delete group but we unable to get how many users already added to the group. Can anybody help me out in this case. It is urgent!

I know it isn' exactly what you want but if you got to:-
System Administration->Support->Web Dynpro Test Tools->User Management
you can at least see the users currently running Web Dynpro applications (I think!)
At least its a start!

I have a client that wants to upgrade his Aironet 1131 APs with 1141N. How many users are supported on a Cisco Aironet 1141N?

Yes, you could have 30 clients on the AP.
Client density all depends on what the client is doing, really.
So if you have clients that are just web surfing and pulling email 30+ isn't a problem. If they are all streaming video, then you want to plan for less clients per AP, and more APs.
