LDAP Synchronisation with CUCM with multiple forest

Hello,
We have CUCM 10.5.
We want to add in CUCM multiple forest (we have multiple company with different domain name) using LDAP authentification so all the user/password sync with CUCM.
We have as distinguished name CN=xxxx,CN=Users,DC=xxx,DC=local and for search base CN=xxxx,CN=Users,DC=xxx,DC=local.
Can we add in the distinguished name and search base the information for multiple forest using the same username/password?
If it not possible is there an easy way to achieve that?
Any help would be appreciate.
Thank you

  • CUCI-Lync 9.2 with CUCM 8.6 - Cisco Unity Connection Visual Voicemail Not Working

    Hi
I have CUCM and CUC 8.6.2 running and MOC with CUCI-Lync 8.5 (with visual Voicemail) running OK with full registry configuration (see below). We are moving to Lync 2013 and want to use CUCI-Lync 9.2.
A basic install of CUCI-Lync 9.2 works fine with CUCM (with manual setup of TFTP, CCMIP and CTI) but not with CUC. I can only call the VM Pilot but I don't get my visual voicemail.  In the CUCI-Lync  parameters I type in my CUC server IP adress and credentials but get a message saying that it can't connect.
As the config guide describes a config with CUCM 9 (with UC services) which I don't have in V8.6.  I've tried using the old registry configuration or no registry configuration at all, I can't get CUCI-Lync to connect to CUC...
Has anyone done this ? Any suggestions ?

The UC Services are a CUCM 9.0 feature. In 8.x these existed within CUPS under Applications > CUPC/Jabber > CTI Gateway and Profile. Other things that frequently cause this to break: 1) deskphone not associated to your end user object; 2) primary extension not set; 3) standard cti enabled and standard ccm end users group membership missing; 4) the IP/FQDN of the CTI Gateway is not a CUCM node running CTI Manager.

  • ADFS single sign-on with office 365 and multiple forests

I have 2 forests with one of them (Forest A) only running Exchange / Office 365 in hybrid mode. The other forest (Forest B) has my AD accounts for everyday user login and work. Is there a way to set up ADFS between these 2 forests in order for Forest B
to achieve single sign-on to office 365? Today users have to login with separate office 365 accounts in order to access email and sharepoint. Short of migrating Forest A into Forest B and getting down to one forest / domain, is there anything else we can do
    to achieve single sign-on?

    Hi,
Based on my research, we can have one ADFS farm servicing multiple forests, here are some related articles below for your references:

  • Multiple Forests SSO with BO Edge 3.1

I have to setup and configure SSO on a 3.1 Edge with multiple forests. The setup looks like this right now.
BO Servers (call it BOXIServer) are in one forest (call it BODomain.top.local)
AD users and groups on another forest (call it UsersDomain.bottom.local)
My plan is to create 2 service accounts. One service account to integrate the AD and start up SIA (Call it ADServiceSSO) and the Second service account to implement the Vintela (call it VintelaServiceSSO) as I used to do it on the single domain setup.
    The questions are:
    1.     Is it possible to get SSO to work with this type of configuration (I think I read somewhere that u201CWhen operating with multiple forests, the users must be created on the domain in which the BOE server residesu201D which is not what I have here!)?
    2.     Should I create the 2 service accounts on the forest where the BO server is (BODomain.top.local), or where the Users and groups are (UsersDomain.bottom.local)?
    3.     How would I formulate the setspn and ktpass commands on this type of configuration?
Would it be true that I can create the 2 services account on BO Servers Forest (BODomain.top.local) and the commands would look like this:
    setspn.exe u2013A BOBJCentralMS/BOXIServer.BODomain.top.local ADServiceSSO
    Ktpass.exe u2013princ HTTP/BOXIServer.BODomain.top.local@ BODomain.top.local   u2013mapuser VintelaServiceSSO@ BOXIServer.BODomain.top.local
Or I can create the 2 services account on users and groups forest (UsersDomain.bottom.local) and the command would look like this:
    setspn.exe u2013A BOBJCentralMS/BOXIServer.BODomain.top.local ADServiceSSO @ UsersDomain.bottom.local
    Ktpass.exe u2013princ HTTP/BOXIServer.BODomain.top.local@ BODomain.top.local   u2013mapuser VintelaServiceSSO@ UsersDomain.bottom.local
    Thank for your help
    Aws

MF requires a 2-way transitive trust, so with this enabled there is no need to span forests with service accounts. 1 account in the same forest as the BO server is fine and straight forward to configure, although you are free to add more as you like.
Everything else is dependent on the 2 way trust as DNS will have certain records for each other forest that will allow the CMS to query remote forest users and MF users to access the CMS resources. Which is what we want.
The rules on groups is to put MF users in groups from their own forest and then map into BO, adding all users from multi forests int a single forest group may not work properly in our internal tests.
The last piece seems to be a Microsoft limitation, but when accessing an SSO URL from a remote forest the FQDN must be used for SPN recognition. When the host name or IP is used the request for SPN is sent to the wrong forest and SSO fails.

  • People Picker search order with multiple forest domains

I had customer with multiple forest domain environment. Now the problem is that all users from one domain synced to the resource domain(Domain A) where sharepoint is installed.
The peoplepicker is now finding at first the user in Domain A where sharepoint is installed. My Solution is now to specify the order of searching in People Picker that first all users in Domain B will return and if there is noting will return Domain A.
All SharePoint Server(s) had Network Access to the other Domains. And there are two-way-trust konfigured.
    Any Solution for that?
    Thanks for your feedback!
    P.

Regardless of search order, you would get both results returned. Have you tried using the UserAccountDirectoryPath property on the Site Collection to specify DC=domainB,DC=com?

Nice to now that i can set it up per site collection. But it do not work in my case, it indeed returned users from Domain B but Domain A, C, D and F(Examples) are excluded from People Picker.

  • Impossible to create LDAP SYNC user on CUCM with Prime Collab Provisioning

    Hello,
Previously, I use Prime Provisionning to create and provision services for static users, it works.
For the same Customer, CUCM and Unity user are now imported from LDAP.
I add the changes in Provisioning processors (LDAP Auth + Sync).
At this time, it's impossible to create new users on CUCM from Provisioning !
    Here is my procedure :
    - I do a LDAP sync on prime to detect my new AD user.
    - I select it and provision services to push on CUCM
    - Orders stuck in being provisioned state...
On the CUCM, the user doesn't appear at all.
Is something wrong in my method ?
Do I need to make a LDAP sync on the CUCM to import users, next user synchro on processor in Prime, then edit user ?
    Thanks

    Clement,
I suspect you have LDAP sync turned on in CUCM. If CUCM is set to sync and does not already have the userID in it's database it will reject a user add.
This is a recognized problem with having both products set to sync. There are some solutions:
Always sync CUCM before you sync Prime Collaboration Provisioning (PCP).  This way the new user will already be in CUCM and then will accept a provisioning order from PCP.  The frequency of LDAP sync on CUCM will determine how often PCP can push new users to CUCM.
If PCP tries to provision a user but it is rejected by CUCM, provisioning will attempt to send it for 24 hours. There is an assumption that CUCM will sync daily so at some point CUCM will get the userID and then when PCP tries to provision, it will be accepted.
Use the latest CUCM 10.5(x) with a patch that provides the Authenticate Only setting setting. You will have to check with TAC or CUCM Marketing/TMEs for more information.  In this case, CUCM will authenticate admins and Jabber clients against AD, but will take users from PCP immediately.  The CUCM eng/marketing team has recommended we move away from syncing CUCM when PCP is doing the syncing from AD. CUCM does not need to sync when PCP is present. This eliminates the race condition between which app synced first.

  • Synchronising my Phone with PC results in multiple...

When synchronising my E61 with Nokia PC Suite this results in mutliple contacts that appear 4 times in my contact lists, both Phone and Outlook??
When I delete the contacts either from the Phone our Outlook by next synchronisation they appear again.
Anyone that has a clue how to solve this?
    Looking forward.
EDIT: Removed email addressMessage Edited by ajak on 27-Apr-2007 10:17 AM

    Clear the situation like this:
    1) Clean the contacts in Outlook so that you have only one time each contact listed
    2) Delete all contacts from phone
    3) THIS IS IMPORTANT: connect now phone, open PC Suite - PC Sync - Settings - New settings and run thewizard through to make sure when you sync, the contacts in outlook are synced to empty phone

Can not synchronise my ipod with itunes. I receive the message the required medium can not be found

Is it along the lines of the "required disk cannot be found?"  What OS are you using and are you running the latest version of iTunes?  I assume you have tried multiple USB ports as well as tried using a different USB sync cable to rule out a damaged/faulty cable?
Do you have any other USB devices plugged in while you try to sync your iPod?

  • CWMS v.2 - how to configure CWMS to authenticate user with CUCM

    Hi,
I have a CUCM with no LDAP or AD integration. I already configured the directory integration with CUCM and it synchronized the user accounts to CWMS. When trying to login with end user account, password configured in CUCM doesn't work. What is the process to configure CWMS to authenticate with CUCM user database? Thanks.
    -Alan

    Hi Alan,
CUCM and LDAP integration is a prerequisite for using Directory Integration on CWMS.
    http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/collaboration/CWMS/1_5/Administration_Guide/Administration_Guide_chapter_01011.html#task_DB0D271D6EB1459EB4DA269461E93B36
    Before You Begin
You must configure AXL and LDAP directory service on CUCM before you can use the directory integration feature. CUCM is required to import users into your Cisco WebEx Meetings Server system. Use CUCM to do the following:
     Enable Cisco AXL Web Service
     Enable Cisco directory synchronization
     Configure LDAP integration
     Configure LDAP authentication

  • Jabber 9.6 no voicemail tab for CUC with CUCM 9 and CUC 8.6

    Hi guys,
    I have Jabber 9.2 and 9.6 clients with CUCM 9.1.2, CUC 8.5.1 and Cisco IM + P 9.1.1.
We've recently updated the CUCM and CUPS to Cisco IM+P.  Also we have migrated from CUPC Clients to Jabber clients.  The CUC server has remained as is.  I was able to get the CUPC clients to get voicemail/visual voicemail but the Jabber client doesn't even display an ico for voicemail.
The service profile for all users is set correctly to point to the CUC server and there's no errors when I go to the jabber client "show connction status".
I haven't been able to find much about this issue.  I have noticed that if I set the mail store the voicemail tab appears but we are not using a mail store as the voicemail repositary.  Is this now required to check voicemail?  If so can someone point me to the configuration guide?  We have exchange 2012.  Thanks very much!
    -Akin

    Hi every body,
I  have some problems but not with all the users, is only working with 3  users and the rest of them don't work, I attached the errors that I get  when I try to log in Telephony Accounts in the Jabber, I used the Jabber  of one User, and from here I introduce my credentials (user and  password) and I can get the voice mails (only from de 3 users that is  woriking fine), but when I introduce the credentials of the other user I  get the error and Can't get the voicemails.
The 127.23.0.7 is the IP address of the Cisco Unity Connection.

    Hi,
In J1IA101 enter the first excise invoice in the releavnt field  and hit enter and once this excise invoice is updated in the tab, excise invoice summary enter the next excise invoice in the same field as before and hit enter. In this manner you can enter as long as the sold to party and Export type are the same.

  • How do i set up a slideshow with pictures from multiple iphoto libraries?

How do i set up a slideshow with pictures from multiple iphoto libraries? One library is in my Macbook Harddrive, the other 2 libraries are in an external harddrive. Thank you!!

You can't, simply. An iPhoto Slideshow can only draw from a single library, so you'll need to get all the images into one.
    Alternatives to iPhoto's slideshow include:
iMovie is on every Mac sold.
    Others, in order of price:
    PhotoToMovie  $49.95
    PulpMotion  $129
    FotoMagico $99
    Final Cut Pro X $299
It's difficult to compare these apps. They have differences in capability - some are driven off templates. some aren't. Some have a wider variety of transitions. Others will have excellent audio controls. It's worth checking them out to see what meets your needs. However, there is no doubt that Final Cut Pro X is the most capable app of them all. You get what you pay for.

i have already try the copy/paste thing with the ID of the file "iTunes Music Library.xml" it didn't change a thing. each time I relaunched Itunes, the ID is the first I have in the MAC.
I have more than 5 000 files of music. I don't want to recreate one by one all my playlits.
    Many thnaks for your answers.
    Constance

You can sync iphone with one and only one computer at a time.  If you sync to another, it will erase the current content and replace with content form the new computer.  There is no way around this.
Put everything on one computer and sync from there.
BTW, you posted in the Home Share forum.  Your question seems to have nothing to do with home share.

  • Cisco Jabber for Mac 9.2.1: slow to register with CUCM

    Hi,
We have this specific problem on our Jabber for Mac 9.2.1 client only: the client takes 60 to 70 seconds to connect to CUCM (running 8.6.2) when it starts.
After Jabber registers with CUCM, there is no issue, it's just very slow to register.
Anybody getting the same behaviour? We have no such issue on previous versions of Jabber for Mac version 8 or Jabber for Windows version 9.
    Thanks,
    Fabrice

For those interested, I have the answer to my own question: if one of your configured DNS servers is not responding, Jabber 9.2.1 will delay registration to the phone services. This behaviour is seen only in this specifc version of Jabber, hopefully it will be fixed in the next release. Watch out if one of your DNS server goes offilne.

  • No ringbacktone for inbound calls with cucm 8.6

    Hi,
we have this problem from many days...
we have two branches with cucm cluster(Publisher and Subscriber) at Head office and cisco untiy. The branches are connected to Head office through MPLS vpn and all the ip phones are registred to publisher located at headoffice.
    our setup is like below
HO and BR2 having SIP lines and BR1 has PSTN Lines.
we implement greetings for head office and 2 branches at Headoffice Unity.
when any call comes to headoffice gateway the greetings will be played and call will be diverted to the appropriate extension.everything is fine.
But the problem is when the call comes to Branch gateway and the greetings will be played and the call gets diverted to the IP phone to which the caller dialed the extension. but the caller is not hearing the ringback tone while the extension is ringing. and the caller cannot know whether the extension is ringing or the call got disconnected.
i tried to change the " Send h225 User Information Message"  in service parameters from "Use ANN for Ring Back" to H225 Info for call Progress Tone"
whenever i am changing to  "H225 Info for call Progress Tone" then the branches problem getting solved but Headoffice getting the same problem.
    please can anyone help............................
