Ldapsearch not returning any entries anymously

Hi,
I've just migrated from Fedora 389DS to DSEE7 and stumbled upon some unexpected problems that I can't figure how to get out of.
Before shutting down my 389DS instance I've dumped its user entries. I then installed DSEE7, everything seems to be working properly.
I then did a dsconf create-suffix o=oslods (which was the base DN on 389DS).
Afterwards I did dsconf import -p 389 -e /tmp/389dump.ldif o=oslods. No entries were skipped, everything looked OK. My ldif can be seen at http://jeanfrancoisgratton.net/dsee/389dump.ldif.txt .
Why, as everything (ldapsearch) worked fine with 389DS, doesn't it work properly now with DSEE ? Some gui tools will show me the entries in o=oslods, but not ldapsearch (ex: ldapsearch -b o=isp uid=grattojf won't return anything) ?
Is there something I've forgotten that'd get me red-faced with shame once pointed out to me, or what ? :-)
UPDATE
It seems that when I provide the bindDN (-D "xxxxx" -w yyyy) I get results ! This one now, I don't get it ! I want anonymous searches to work, I hadn't touched to anything ACI-wise...

Hello Chris,
I came here this morning to close the thread as I realized that the ACIs were missing from the suffix. Can't figure how / why it's missing from dsconf import.
So, ACIs being missing, looks like the DS is usable (readable) only by the directory manager.
An easy thing to fix !

Hi Gurus
Has any one come accross the following issue? Kindly advice.
SRM 3.0
Search Vendor (F4) not returning any value although Vendor exist in SRM (system allows to raise Cart if Requestioner keys in the Vendor Number manually, ie. Vendor has very much got replicated in SRM)
Steps to replicate the issue
1) Log on to SRM portal
2) Expand the Go Shopping and click on Shop (Extended Form)
3) Click on Create Limit Item
4) Fill in the Description, Select the Product Category, Enter the Value Limit & Expected Value & fill in the required date
5) To search for Supplier, click on the find button
6) In the Find Vendor screen press the start button without entering any restriction
7) System throws a message "No Vendor found"

Thanks for replying Muthu.
Entries do exists in VENMAP.
No filters are set while searching for Vendor.
In fact, If I find the Vendor code from ERP and key in the vendor number in the Supplier field in SRM, it rightly picks up the vendor from the Vendor code.
The only issue is....while I try to search for Supplier using the Supplier search functionality (by clicking on the binocular), the search functionality does not return any values (I put no restriction).
By the way, Is there any missing Attribute in PPOMA_BBP that may be causing this?

Very Very Urgent Issue: Restricted Key Figure does not return any data

Hi all,
Please help me solving this urgent issue.
created customer exit variable on characterstics version and also
other customer exit variable on Value type.
I coded that in variable exit. Problem is when I include these in
restrickted keyfigure My query does not return me any data.
But if I remove from restrickted key firgure and put it as normal
charaterstics I see the variable is getting populated.
Also in RSRT the SQl generated when these are included in RKF is not
correct.
I debugged and know they are getting populated. As when included in RKF
I can also see the values of customer exit variables from information
tab.
I also know that there is data in cube for those restrictions.
I posted one OSS Notes regarding this urgent issue. But got no reply from SAP.
FYI: We are using BEx 3.5 Browser SAP GUI 6.4 Patch 20 BW Patch 11

Binocular search for Cost Center is not returning any data

Hi Gurus,
When clicking on the SRM-Shooping Cart-Cost Assignment- Account Assignment Overview- Cost center Binocular search icon, it is not returning any data. However, when drilling down in the Account Assignment Overview, you will see another Binocular search icon for Cost Center which is working fine.
Any idea of how you troubleshoot it.

Not sure about the cost assignment drill down, but after we applied SP13 to SRM server 550 the binoculars for cost center stopped working. the following note corrected this.

If it has never worked, then probably need to setup a RFC dialog user for the F4 search help, Multiple threads on here around the dialog user for F4 with details on configuration and use.

If a put a query to the table EDP12 for the partner or message type (ORDERS) provided in the IDOC data, I do not get any entry for this.

Even if I go to T-Code SE11 or SE12 in production or quality system and try to see the contents of this view, one message pops up saying "You do not have authorization for T-code SM30".
And in DEV system, I get a message saying "No database view exists for view VEDI_TDP21".
Anyway my current question is : In T-code WE42, there are two process codes for message type ORDERS:
1. ORDE (ORDERS Create sales order)
2. ORDE_BY_WORKFLOW (ORDERS Sales Order withtext in workflow)
How can I confirm one process code out of the above two for the message type ORDERS?

Bing based federated result sources not returning any results for non-English languages

I have a result source with this query:
http://www.bing.com/search?q={?searchterms} language:fr site:msdn.microsoft.com&format=rss&count=50&first={startIndex}
This used to give me 40-50 results for common terms like download, blog etc.
From today (7/14) IST, this source does not return any results. There are no results if I execute this query directly in IE either.
Same behavior observed for: language:es, language:de etc.
I do however get results as expected for language:en.
Any idea what the issue might be?

According to your description, my understanding is that no results returned when searching with non-English in the Result Source query.
I tested the same scenario per your post and I got the same results as you got.
I recommend to change the language:fr in the Result Source query to be lang=fr to see if the issue still occurs.

Standar ws ProjectByPartyQueryResponse_In is not returning any values

Hi gurus,
I'm trying to use the standar webservice ProjectByPartyQueryResponse_In in our landscape in order to get all the projects related to the person responsible for the project but the web service is not returning any values.
When I execute the service -using soapui- with the following values (or any other value for that matters):

The web service always returns :

The party Id exists and also de party role code and there is at least one project that has that party with that role. I'm sure because I use other web service to find a project by id and in the result the project has the <Party> section with those values.
I was looking for solutions, notes, threads in forums with no success, then i decided to debug the webservice and I did find the following line in the webservice code.

when that line executes the select always returns 0 values, then I look in the table IHPA using the SE16 without any filter and I found that my records exists!! but the select does not get it. I was wondering why the select is not working and then I filter the data in the SE16 using the same values that the query does
for example:
PARVW= ZA
PARNR = 20000143
OBTYP = PDN
And I was surprised when the SE16 did not found any value even I was seeing in the previous screen with no filters!!!! And I supouse thats why the webservice is not working. I started making filters one by one, for example firts filtering just de PARVW = ZA and works, but when I filter just the PARNR = 20000143 the SE16 can't find any value, just when I put an * at the end of the number the SE16 returns all the values expected, Im guessing that the fields in the database has blanks at the end but this is a standar table and a standar program.
Have any of you had the same problem? is there anything that I can do? does anyone knows if this is an unkown bug? becaus I could'n find any note on the marketplace.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi!
The problem were solved but not using the Badi, because the badi only let you change the value of the var party_id and that var is declared as PARNR (of type numeric with length 10), and no mater wat you do the two 00 can´t be removed.
We solved the problem with an enhancement point in the code at the method "party_get_data", look at the beginin and at the end. We just change the type of var used for party_id.. now we use a CHAR one insted the numeric used by the original code.
And we repeat the select...

I have a Xquery statement that works as expected on Oracle 10.2.0.5 but does not return any results on Oracle 10.2.0.4.
Is this the result of a badly written query? A bug in 10.2.0.4?

This one's strange indeed.
I can reproduce on 10.2.0.4 and one of the following seems to fix it :
1) Specifying the column list in the SELECT, instead of t.* :

Query not returning any rows?

hi experts,
My query running long but not returning any result. i have data , no locks on the tables.
i have bigger ( hardware ) database on different server , where I can get results with same query.
Can you tell me what are the DB settings i have to look at to resolve this issue?
( any sql query that can monitor these parameters ?)
(the tabels involved in this query has 33milliions, 2millions, 7 milllions )

Basic NOT EXISTS query not returning any results

DB Version: 10gR2
One of our tables in the test schema is having less number of columns than the PROD shema.
To determine which are missing columns in this table in Test schema i did the following.
-----In Test Schema
CREATE TABLE XYZ2
(COL1 NUMBER);        ----------only one column
SQL > CREATE TABLE tables_test_list AS SELECT TABLE_NAME,COLUMN_NAME FROM USER_TAB_COLS;

XMLTABLE function not returning any values if xml has attribute "xmlns". Is there way to get the values if xml has attribute as "xmlns".

Hi all,
I'm having an issue where my Table-Valued Function is not returning any results.
When I break it out into a select statement (creating a table, and replacing the passed in parameters with the actual values) it works fine, but with passing in the same exact values (copy and pasted them) it just retuns an empty table.
The odd thing is I could have SWORN this worked on Friday, but not 100% sure.
The attached code is my function.
Here is how I'm calling it:
SELECT * from dbo.fGetVendorInfo('AUDIO DIGEST', '123 SESAME ST', 'TOP OF OAK MOUNTAIN')
I tried removing the "+ '%'" and passing it in, but it doesn't work.
Like I said if I break it out and run it as T-SQL, it works just fine.
Any assistance would be appreciated.

Why did you use a proprietary user function instead of a VIEW? I know the answer is that your mindset does not use sets. You want procedural code. In fact, I see you use an “f-” prefix to mimic the old FORTRAN II convention for in-line functions!
Did you know that the old Sybase UPDATE.. FROM.. syntax does not work? It gives the wrong answers! Google it.
Your data element names make no sense. What is “KSD.ks188”?? Well, it is a “payment_<something>”, “KSD.ks183” is “vendor_group” and “KSD.ks178” is “vendor_nbr” in your magical world where names mean different things from table to table!
An SQL programmer might have a VIEW with the information, something like:

Ibots not returning any data

Hi,
I have some ibots that I scheduled to run on a daily basis and which were working perfectly.
Suddenly the same ibots, they run but the content of the attachment says "The specified criteria did not return any data".
I checked the log files and could not see any relavant error.
If I go back in the report that I am sending through the ibot, it runs without any problem.
I tried to send it in different formats and run as different users, but the results are still the same!
Any idea what else I could check?

Report painter execution error - GR657 - set does not contain any entries

During our execution of report we are getting the below error:
Set 0102PCBT1IPROVDIV in set 0002$ZA13#######ROW0236 does not contain any entries
Message no. GR657
Diagnosis
You cannot use empty sets to define reports. The single-dimension set contains a basic set that does not contain any values.
Procedure
Use a set that contains at least one value, or enter values for the set defined.
This has been discussed in a similar Thread in May 2010 by puri & Praveen Jagdeesan,
However I am unable to trace the set & how to delete the blank values.
0002$ZA13#######ROW0236 or ROW0236 in the system.
Set 1IPROVDIV is exisitng in system.
Also when we go to KAH3 - Cost element hierarchy & see in the where used list we are not able to see the set being used in the report whereas the system from where we have exported the report we can see that this set is being used in the report.
Please could you help in resolving the same.
