LDB/Report Category/Selection view

Hello,
I have a requirement to add a field onto the standard selection of the program PC00_M99_CWTR.
The field I need to add is PA0031-RFP01 (Reference personnel number). Can this be added??
I have been told that I can add this field to the dynamic selection screen by changing the fields
behind the logical database PNP. However, when I go into SE36 and enter the SELECTION VIEWS
option choose PNP and SAP STANDARD to display the system replies with 'The selection view does
not exist' ?????
How can I add fields when I can't see the SAP standard one to copy from.
Or should I be changing the reporting category.
Any help much appreciated.

Just wanted to know if it was possible or not. Sometimes with SAP it says you can do
something to the SAP standard and then you have to go and create a custom copy
having spent many hours in the first place!!

    Hi,
    Go to Tcode SE36 -->LDB PNP >Extras>Select view
    Dispaly the function group.If it does not exit create a new function group and assign the fields need to be displayed
    Field that have no fuction can be suppresed in the output.

  • Storing changes done to a selection view of a LDB in a TR

    Hi Friends,
    I do have a problem while storing the changes done to a LDB selection view in a TR. Please guide me on the same, below is the summary of changes done.
    The requirement is as below:
    Modified the STD LDB DDF's selection view.
    Existing: Payment terms (ZTERM) taken from KNB1.
    Required: Payment terms (ZTERM) to be taken from BSID.
    So the changes we did are as follows:
    Go to SE36>DDF>Extras>Selection views>Copy origin of view SAP to CUS and click on change.
    Here we removed the input criteria for KNB1-ZTERM and added BSID-ZTERM as an input field. There was no TR prompted.
    Please let us know how to get these changes stored in a TR.
    We have also tried adding the below object in a TR# manually, but of no use.

    Can you elaborate on your answers...as I have already created CUS (origin of view - a copy of SAP) it is not allowing me to create one more origin of view... can you tell me how to create another origin of view apart from CUS, so that I can start these changes afresh...
    Also in SE03 even If i give DSEL and SAPDDFSTANDARD it is not displaying any objects and prompting to give a valid name...

    hi nibha,
    for report category creation:
    Create a program using the transaction SE38.
    Then again follow this menu path->GOTO-->ATTRIBUTES
    Click on the button HR report category to use the existing report category
    Select the radio button u201CMaster Data (Infotypes) 
    Click on HR report category
    Give name of the HR report category to be create like ____0001(4 underscores 3 zeros 1) here follow the standards for creating the HR report category.  
    To create new HR report category, click on new entries
    Give the report category name   :  ____0002  (this is an example )
    Then save it under a transport request.
    Click on allowable selection criteria->choose enter--> new entries
    Get the fields from select option field with F4 help and give the values to be appeared in the selection screen of the LDB you want.
    then save it.

  • Selection-screen using HR report category

    Hi friends,
       I have a developed HR report using PNP ldb in which i have used the HR report category to specify my selection-screen.But still my requirment is not getting fullfiled.I require 1)Company Code
                            2)Payroll Period selection block also.
    But even if i dont enter value in this payroll area it should excecute.As of now it throws an error message saying "No valid payroll area specified"
    I want to generate report for any month given in other period of the payroll Area wrt company code.

    As per your question, remember that, the period will be different for each and every Payroll area.May be same period will behave differenly like weekly, monthly, semi-monthly.. with different payroll area.
    So the parameter payroll area will always be mandatory..

  • Dynamic selections in Report category

    I am trying to create a dynamic selection view for a report category, while doing so i am not able to add any table to table dialog that appears, when i enter PA0001 it says PA0001 is not a table. Same problem for any table i try to insert.
    Can anyone help me with a solution.

    In transaction SE80, i selected "edit object" button -> in the screen that pops-up i selected the tab "more"
    In that tab i selected radio button "Selection View" and then selected create button
    Then  "Create Selection View" screen appears, there i selected CUS View, checked radio button "for any tables" and gave a name of view 'ZTEST' and pressed the continue button, A screen appears to enter tables, when i enter any table it gives the message Table not found.
    When i try in other systems it works, not sure of the problem in our dev system.

    Hi,
    I have a HR Report using LDB PNP.
    I need the fields, Today and Key Date on the Date Selection Block and the Default Fields on the Data Selection Block.
            - Country, - Company code,
         - Personnel Area, - Personnel Sub-area,
         - Employee Group, - Employee Sub Group,
         - Contract of IT 0001
         - Payroll area,
         - Controlling area - Cost center,
         - Administrator group,
         - Payroll administrator, - Personnel administrator,
         - Time recording administrator
         - Personnel number,
         - Organizational Unit, - Position, - Function
    Is there a standard Report Category to generate this Selection screen or should I go with creating a new one.
    Please suggest.

    2. use the above ldb (instead of pnp)
    3. In the selection, screen,
      on the toolbar,
      u will get on button 
      "selection fields"
    4. Press this button,
      and u then
      select (transfer to right)
      the fields u want.
    5. It has ALL the fields, u mentioned.

    I am using LDB - PNP for a HR report. The screen works fine in the development server.
    Once Transported to Quality and Production servers the screen changs to something else completely.

    to quality server. How can transport HRIN0013  to

       must be a sap standard report category,
       which must be a part of the LDB program.
    2. Just check out in your QA and production servers,
      whether this HRIN0013 is available for
      selection or not,
       in the same screen, u mentioned.

    Hello All,
    In logical db KDF when i go to selection view i can see three function groups ie vendor master companycode and documents with their respective ids.
    But when i execute report related with this logical database like tcode f.42 adn fbl1n i can see only two options in dynamic selections ie vendor master and company code where as documents option is missing
    How can i get documents options back in the report or is there any program to regenerate these dynamic selections

    When I run the T-code FBL1N at my place and click on Dynamic selections button,what I see that there are all the three options--Vendor Master,Company Code and Documents available.
    You need to observe that against Vendor number there is no input box available but all the fields available under it till Company Code belong to Vendor Master.Similarly,all the fields mentioned under Comaony Code belong to Company Code and likewise all the fields mentioned under Documents like Special G/L Indicator,Assignment,Document number etc. belong to Document.

  • Drill down to a report with a select view

    I have a report with a select view on a column... In this column I have coded a navigation to another report that has some details and also has a select view on the same column.
    a) The only way to make this work is in the construction, using the view edit screen, the select view, select the option, save it... and then in the criteria, code the navigation.
    This had to be done to every option.
    b) Since the target report has also a select, whenever you navigate from the original report, the detail report is displayed "as it were", in respect to the select column... The target report is filtered by this column (I am using "is prompted") It would be nice if besides the filtering the select could show the select that comes from the original report... It is not working like this... The user has to select again (column selector) to see it like the original one...
    Sorry, it is a bit confusing...but I´d appreciate any help.

    I dont think about drill down, but try with navigation using common columns. in this way we can have both side navigations summary-> detail and detail->summary.

    Pl follow these steps..
    1.In the Program Attributes, click on the pushbutton 'HR Report Category'.Click on the 'Create' icon in the pop-up window that comes up.
    2. On the next screen click on the 'New entries ' pushbutton in the menu bar.
    3. In the next screen enter a anme for the report Category, say, 0COMPCODE.
    4.On the same screen, you have a Navigation tree to the left hand side, click on the Allowable selection Criteria Node
    5. On the next screen, click on the New Entriees pushbutton
    6. On the next screen enter 'PNPBUKRS'.
    7. You will be prompted to tie it to a Transaport Request. Attach it to the sam ereq that your Report is tied to.
    8. SAVE it & attach it to your Program.
