how do I break this cycle?

You can open another sesson to your primary domain and kill -9 the telnet session that has console write access to "wa"
The other way is after pressing enter, type in ~~w, which will give you write access to the console.

I select a ringtone to save to desktop as instructed, only I receive an error message indicated unable to save ringtone "you do not have enough access previlages" What is this? How do I resolve this issue?
    Thank you

    Deggie: You are a genius!!!
Spot on! It was a hardware conflict. Followed your instructions, changed the drive letter and lo and behold job done!
    Thank you so much!
Incidentally none of my local iPod Genius Help guys could sort the problem out when i brought it round to them yesterday. The best they could do was to suggest 'restore' with it's 'wipe everything' implications.
i doff my cap to you.
    Cheers mate!

  • After implementing iTunes Match I can't make updates or watch my movies bc of error message "you do not have write access".

After purchasing and implementing iTunes match I can't watch a bunch of my movies and I can't update my apps because of an error message stating that I do not have "write access" or another error message stating that I don't have correct permissions.  I have checked that I have both read and write permissions on literally every single folder on  my computer. I quadruple-checked actually.
From looking through forums it seems a lot of people are having this problem with the only suggestion being to fix permissions.  Anyone have any other suggestions?  I just want to be able to watch the movies I paid for!!

Could you give us a little more information?  Where are your movies stored?  On  your iMac?  How are you trying to watch them, through iTunes?  Have you tried to watch them with Match turned off?
Just to be clear, iTunes Match does not accept movies for uploading, only music files.  It will give you access to music videos you've purchased through iTunes though.

  • Error message "You do not have enough access privleges for this operation"

I am using Windows Vista, and current IPOD and ITUNES versions. I still get this message when trying to sync IPOD. Help please.

So it appears iCloud/iTunes Match isn't the issue - the error message would seem to be complaining about where the music is being downloaded to. So with this in mind:
In iTunes select Preferences and select Advanced. The iTunes media folder should be set to /Users/<your account>/Music/iTunes/iTunes Music. <your account> would be whatever your user account is. If you see something else there I'd guessing it is a folder you don't have permission to write to.

  • Error message 'you do not have enough access privlages for this operation'

Try running iTunes as an Administrator (I assume you are using Windows).

  • Getting error message " You are not authorized to access the migration tool "

One of the users is noticed with error message " You are not authorized to access the migration tool " in SAP Cloud for Customer tenant. thanks

    Hello Raj,
It seems that this user does not have proper authorization to perform Data Migration.
You need to go to the WorkCenter View Assignment for this user under his access rights & need to assign him the workcenter "Business Configuration" & under it, also assign him relevant access to Data Migration.
This shall fix the issue & the user shall not get this error while trying to perform Data Migration.
    Steps:
    1. Go to Workcneter: "Application and User Management => Business Users => Seerach for the suer who gets this error => Edit-> Access Rights => Click on Workcenter view Assignment tab & assign the above mentioned worokcenter access and save."
Let me know for any further queries.

  • Adobe 10, Windows 7 32 bit error message: You do not have priveledges to perform this command

In Windows 7 32 bit system Adobe X, latest version, results in this error message:  You do not have privileges to perform this command.  Windows trouble shooter indicates that the program is not compatible with my system settings.  What needs to change?

I don't see an answer for this question - but I'm experiencing the same error on a Windows 7 SP1 machine. I've tried all the suggested steps here (uninstalled, reinstalled, removed Adobe Reader folder). Even installed recent v11 hoping that would allow me to open a PDF as the original problem exhibited itself on a v10.1.4 installation. This is a brand new machine running local administrator user. Shouldn't be a rights issue yet Adobe reports that I don't have privileges to run (open) Adobe reader.
I'd rather use the Adobe reader (rather than Foxit or another) but if I can't get it to install correctly I'm out of luck. Anyone get this issue resolved?
BTW: Tried to insert a picture of the error message dialogue but the Adobe picture uploader for this forum doesn't appear to work either...

  • Installed 10.7 to my MacBook Air but get an error message "you do not have permission to save to macintosh HD"  .

I downloaded and installed 10.7 to my MacBook Air with no issues, but now when I try to save documents to macintosh HD, I get an error message "you do not have permission to save to macintosh HD"  I can save to home without issue, just not to theHD.  I tried repairing permissions-no progress.
I cannot create new folders on the HD, either.  In the macintosh HD permissions window:
    Admin            Read&write
    Wheel            Read
    Three heads:  Read
AppleCare on the phone says I have to re-install the OS using Recovery-this seems a bit over the top.  Any ideas?

    RESOLVED
OS 10.7 no longer allows admin users to save to the top directory-only the pre=determined four folders are allowed now.
By moving all content not in the four main top directory folders (System, Users, Library, Applications) to the directory)s) just below, all was resolved.
The guys at the Genius Bar were just as surprised as me-so we learn something every day, although Apple could let their Geniuses know..

  • How do I solve the issue of this message "you do not have enough access privileges for this operation" on my iTunes?

How do I solve the issue of this message "you do not have enough access privileges for this operation" on my iTunes? I already went to the folder of iTunes inside the Finder and change all permissions to allow read and write... no improvement at all. Any help? thanks!

Hi! I just realized I have two folders called library, one is inside HD alongside with System and users, then I have also "library" inside users, some of the folders are apparently repeated, some are missing. And all the music is inside a folder called iTunes Music, inside Music, inside users. Now that I relaized some folders are repeated I applied to all related to iTumes r/w permission. But the annoying message keeps coming on.
And yes, I am using Leopard, 10.5.8.
    Any ideas?

  • Error msg You do not have enough access privilegas for this operation

Am trying to sync my iphone 4s this is the msg am getting:
The iphone K15KUS cannot be synced. You do not have enough access privilegas for this operation

I have a similar issue. I can update the music library but iTunes is trying ot automatically update the software on the iPod to v1.2 but I get an error message saying that I do not have the access privileges on this account. I have changed this account to be an Administrator, restarted but still that doesn't resolve my issue. Is it really necessary to have set up a separate profile for this different iPod? (I use two iPods on the same computer, my wife's and mine and set up different profiles with a shared music library). I would like to update the software on this particular iPod but it won't let me.
