for the automatic determination of the route for MM module is it mandatory to fill the storage location?

Route determination uses the country code and transportation zone from the address records as some of the inputs into the route determination. Dependent on the IS solution you are using and SAP version the configeration determines how the route is determined.
If you are on a standard EEC 6.0 system try the configuration path (transaction SPRO)
Materials Management -> Purchasing Purchase Order-> Set up Stock Transport Order -> Set Up Stock Transfer Between Storage Locations -> Set Up Storage-Location-Dependent Shipping Point Determination ->
Define Rule for Determination of Shipping Point
Assign Shipping Points According to Storage Location
Logistics Execution -> Shipping -> Basic Shipping Functions -> Routes -> Route Determination
For an STO the from address record is take "from" the shipping point (determined from plant or storage location see configuration options above) and the "to" this the receiving plant.

Is there any way to determine the automatic route for stock transfer between storage locations, using the shipping point of origin and destination?
The automatic determination of the route is transport zone and country, being the center does not assign correct. Or I can use some user exit to change the route before the creation of delivery (shipping)?

My iPad has been like this for a couple of months, and it has really irritated me. My friend came over and he had to download iTunes for something on the computer. He needed my iPad, he tried it and it wasn't really near the router.

WRT54G....Can I set DHCP to use the router for DNS instead of external DNS?

Hi folks. I cant' get my router to have DHCP tell my PCs that the router should be the DNS server instead of the external servers it is using. I am using Comcast Cable internet. It sets the external DNS servers for every PC that connects to it and I have problems finding my PCs on my network by NetBIOS name because the external DNS servers obviously don't store my local PCs. How can I set the router up to set DHCP to use the router for DNS?

If you cannot set the DNS server in the configuration page for the DHCP server in your router then your router does not support this.
This won't solve your problem though. The DNS server on the router is a simply forwarder. It simply forwards the DNS requests from your computer to the ISP's DNS servers. The DNS server does not accept dynamic updates to a private zone inside your LAN. And DNS is pretty much unrelated to the standard windows workgroup browsing which does the actual name resolution inside your LAN. That name resolution even works without a router inside your network. Basically all windows computers in your network periodically broadcast their name to the network. One windows computers is elected "master browser" which collects all these names and provides the name resolution service for all computers in the workgroup.
If this does not work it is most likely a windows configuration problem. It could be a software firewall on the computers which blocks traffic. It could be that the computers are not setup for file/printer sharing and thus have the computer browser disabled. It could be that your computers have a WINS server configured which does not exist. There are probably more causes. The better source to ask this question would probably a Microsoft support group. They deal with these kinds of issues more often and maybe a MVP may be able to point you into the right direction or give some links to step-by-step instructions...

How do I stop Firefox from automatically filling in the spaces for my username and password on one of my password protected websites?

Firefox is automatically entering my username and password on my Sacramento State University secure password site. I am trying to get that function stopped. I do not want my username and password automatically entered in the spaces provided for log in. I want to manually enter that information myself each time I log in to that particular secure password protected site.
So far...I can not find a way to do that. All I find is a way to change my password. I do not wish to change my password. I just do not want it automatically entered for me.

Automatic trigger of the information for the approval for maintenance

Hai all,
I am maintaining one equipment which needs the approval for the maintenance based on the hierarchy (From bottom level to the top level). Also it is required the information about the status of the equipment whenever it is going for approval at each level.Once the concerned person is approved at his level, the mail should trigger to the next level person sothat he would come to know the updated status of the equipment to enable further approval.
1.Is it possible to map in PM as a sign of approval for maintenance in equipment master or by any method ?
2.Is it possible to trigger the mail automatically once the concerned incharge approved his part ?

c).then order is checked financally and user status is changed manually to FINA,and once order gets this status order can be released by this useras mentioned in business transaction

Airport utility is not working on Windows. I can configure Airport Expresses with the Macbook but multiple computers with Windows and the latest Airport Utility time out after trying to connect to the router for setup.

I have been trying to setup Airpot Expresses (both old and new models) for a while now with the Airpot Utility 5.6.1 for Windows without any luck. I have tried this on multiple windows machines, factory reseted the devices if I needed to, but I have not had any success since this software arrived. I see the routers on the Airport Utility UI, I click on it then try to connect to set it up. At this point, it gets stuck with a long progress bar trying to connect to the device without any success. I also have a Macbook Pro, and this device & software has had no trouble setting up the routers. The problem is, we are shipping these small routers out to customers who use Windows machines and it is vital that the user can modify the settings using Airpot Utility. I am at a loss for what to do and if we can't find any solutions, we are going to move on to a different company for the routers we ship out.

Thanks a lot i followed the instructions for safe mode (i found out that i was pressing the C button after restarting) i did whats written there but the repair couldn't be performed so in addition i needed to re-formate the HD so i erased the volume and then repaired the disk--> quite disk utilities --> start the installation from the installation DVD.

Power cycle the router.
Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings
Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.

Doubt about changes in the routing for the next year

I have a question hope for you guys to gave a brief and technical answer to me.
I have some doubts, one doubts is in the actual routing, can I change the Valid to ( Date) in the routings in the operation. (Example. original valid to date is 31.12.9999 i want to change this with 31.12.2007). Because we want to create new routing with changes for the next year. But it´s necessary the new routing is valid from 01.01.2008 and valid to 31.12.2008.
And I can´t 2 routings with the same valid for 01.01.2008
I have many routings for change and I have other option like change the status (create or release).
Other doubt, the user has a excel file with the changes necessary, how can I upload from excel file to SAP R/3. It exist one program, one procedure u other option.

pl use the ECM functionality (engineering change functionality) for the same..its standard SAP and no need for any special config..
You can channge the same routings by giving the effectivity date in ECR (eng change request)
for creating an ECR pl follow the below steps
=Create Engineering change request - TCODE - CC31
=Click on object type after entering this screen parameters
=Click on status management
=and change status by clicking on Check request
=Select the required objects types to be changed and click on objects to reach the below screen
=Enter the required objects to be changed via selecting appropriate tab.
=Select the object and click on details
=Click on status management
=Go to Header and click on status
=Change the status by clicking upto convert request.
=Click on the save button and Engineering Change Request has been created..
IMP Notes -
Do close and Release the Engineering change request after doing the appropriate changes at both Object level and Header Level

there will be connection of the SAP client to remote SAP server.
There is router that needs some ports to be redirected from WAN IP to internal IP of the SAP server.
What ports needs to be redirected?
I believe tcp 30000 for license server for sure - what next?

30000 port is only for licensing server. You need at least SQL server port 1433/4 as well.

Automatically working out the domain for a cookie

          We have a couple of web sites that we want to share cookies between
          we have one site www.mysite.com and another, registration.mysite.com
          If, when I add a cookie and hardcode the domain to '.mysite.com' everything
          works fine. However I would like to dynamically work out the domain because
          we deploy our sites within a number of countries and i dont want to hardcode
          the domain name (eg uk would be www.mysite.co.uk, so the domain would be
          .mysite.co.uk )
          If someone enters www.mysite.com/request.jsp i want to be able to extract
          .mysite.com out of the url and specify it as the domain when adding cookies.
          Does anyone know of any servlet related methods that can get the url that
          was requested - including the server name?
          request.getServerName() wont work because it returns the machine name (ie
          the name of your machine within a network). request.getRequestUrl() also
          wont work for the same reason.
          If anyone knows how i would extract the url the user typed in then that
          would be great
