Lead Assignment Rules?

We created an assignment rule group yesterday. The assignments are as follows:
If Rejected -> Assign to EMP-C
If Billing City "Contains Exact Value" (List of Cities); and Lead Rating "Contains Exact Value" A; and Billing State "Contains Exact Value" (valid state postal abbr.) -> assign to EMP-A;
If Lead Rating "Contains Exact Value" B,C -> assign to EMP-B
Unassigned Lead Owner -> EMP-C
This was created yesterday, and the reassignment is occuring, but every case gets assigned to EMP-B. The order is as above for the 3 rules. Any ideas?

After making any changes to your rules you need to wait until the next day to test. I recommend taking a single lead and edit it by checking the reassign checkbox thru the UI. I would also recommend simplifying your second rule (EMP-B) to check only on Lead Rating "Contains exact Value" A and see if that works.

  • Problem with lead assignment rule

    Hi,
I defined a new lead assignment rule group for my company. I defined two assignment rules according to the billing country value. I work on a demo version of Siebel on demand. The rule is active.
If the value is USA the owner is employee A, if the value is France the owner is employee B, if not employee C.
I tried to create manualy or by import new leads. The assignement rule doesn't work. Can you explain me why?

    Hi !
If you want to have assignment rules working, you must check the box "Reassign owner" when you create a new record. When you perform a modification, if you check this box, the assignment rule will be lacunched again. After creating your record, wait for some seconds and refresh the page, you'll see the last modified by field filled with "OnDemand System" or something like that...
Hope this will help, feel free to ask more !

  • Lead Assignment Rule Based on Industry and Zip Code

Can we set up a lead assingment rule based on multiple conditions?
For example, if Industry = Retail and
State = VA assign to Bob
State = MD assign to Jim
State = CA assign to Karen
    Industry = Commercial and
State = NY assign to Lam
State = VA assign to John
State = CA assign to Karen.....

    Hi Bob,
In continuation to your reply, can we add more complexity to these rules like with industry and state, if i want to assign a lead based on to the tyoe of product and the revenue of the company.
    e.g.
    Industry - Retail
    State - MA
Product - ABC & Revenue of company - $100M - assign it to Sales person 1
    OR
    Industry - Retail
    State - MA
Product - ABC & Revenue of company - $1M - assign it to Sales person 2

  • How to disable auto notification when Leads assigned

    Hi,
Does anyone know how to disable or modify the automatic notification that gets sent to owner of Leads when rules assign Leads?
I've found where to change the "from" email address but want to change/stop these altogether
    Thanks
    Example below:
    -----Original Message-----
    From: XXXXX
    Sent: Monday, November 17, 2008 10:09 PM
    To: XXXXX
Subject: Lead(s) have been assigned to you in Oracle Siebel CRM On Demand
192 Lead(s) have been assigned to you in Oracle Siebel CRM On Demand.
Click the following URL to review your new Leads:

At this time there is no way to disable this email notification to the owner of the lead as a result of going thru the lead assignment rules.

  • Problems with Lead Assignment Engine

    Hi All,
Was wondering if anyone has had problems with the lead assignment engine. We set about a dozen rules in and some work while others don't, without any common link between them.
We have used the billing country that works, for some strange reason, only for Canada and none of the rules set on 'Billing US State' work. I added two custom checkboxes. One works while the other doesn't.
Obviously the rule group is active.
If anyone has any insight into the matter or has a proven solution, I would be happy to hear.
    Thanks.

    Hi Bob,
Yes. We know this. The rule group has been active for a number of days.
Some of the rules in fact work, yet others do not.
    Anyone stumble upon this before?

  • Lead Assignment Emails

    Hello,
In our system, when Leads get re-assigned, an Oracle system generated email is sent to the new Lead owner. We also have custom emails being sent to the new lead owner, and thus this gets confusing.
Does anyone know if there is a way to disable the system generated emails from Leads, and also how often these get triggered? For example, one user gets a random email stating 4 Leads have been assigned to him, but those 4 Leads may have been assigned within a few hours of each other, so the email is not going out right away.
Any insight into how this process is set-up/work would be appreciated.
    Thanks!

Oli is correct in reference to using assignment rules and these emails can not be disabled at this time. Routing occurs on these actions:
    1) Imported leads with the reassign flag set will immediately be reassigned in real-time.
    2) New leads that are added (through the UI) with the reassign flag set are assigned immediately in real-time.
    3) Existing leads that edited with the flag set are batch assigned on a four hour schedule.
    4) Lead assignment email notifications are batched on a four hour cycle (whether or not the lead was assigned in real-time or batch mode) - an owner will receive a single email notification informing them of the number of leads that have been assigned to them with a link to the leads homepage... We batch these notifications to prevent user email bloat.

    Hi!
I am working on trial version of Oracle CRM On Demand. I tried setting up Assignment Rules for Accounts, Leads and Opportunities. After setting up rules. However the assignment rules do not seem to be working. Can anyone help?

Thanks so much!!! I created the Rule Group and Rules yesterday...I tested it this morning, it was not working... I tried again with Reassign owner and it worked...
    THANKS AGAIN!!

  • Team members access thru Assignment rule

When defining the Assignment Rule for Account f.e. the administrator can define the Team Members to be assigned to the account, and their access levels.
My doubts refers to this level of access x the level of access defined thru the user role/access profile. In other words... if thru the Access Profile the user X has a Read-Only access to Account object... and if thru the Assignment Rule - Team Members I give the user X the access Full...
Should I understand that for every other account (except the ones assigned thru assignment) the user X has a Read Only access...and for these accounts assigned thru Assignment the user X has the Full access ?
    Txs. for any hints.
    Antonio

    Antonio, your understanding is correct.

  • Opportunity Team Assignment Rule and Automated Task Owner

    Hi,
We have a requirement that when an Opportunity is created, the Opportunity Team assigned will be based on the Owner of the record. We created a "test" assignment rule wherein the:
    * Team Assignment: (Example) John Locke (Manager), Jack Shephard (Coordinator)
    * Rule criteria: Opportunity Owner First Name = Sawyer, Opportunity Owner Last Name = Ford (Question 1: I can't find Owner id field from the list... that would have been better..)
This works when the Reassign Opportunity checkbox is ticked during record creation and I needed to refresh the record to see the added users in the Team. (Question 2: Is that how it really works? Also, the users added in the Team does not have an Opportunity Role assigned... This field is important to my requirement..)
We have 3 Opportunity Team Opportunity Roles: Manager, Coordinator, Sales Rep. We also have a Sales Process based on the Opportunity Type wherein each Sales Stage has automated tasks for it. We assigned the "Opportunity Team Role - Coordinator" as the Owner of the tasks.
This part does not work because when you create the opportunity record, the user in the Team is only the Owner (creator of the record = Sawyer Ford)m which is also assigned as the Owner of the Activities created based on Sales Stage. What should happen is that the Owner of the Activities should be "Jack Shephard" (Coordinator from the assignment rule).
Question 3: How can I assign Opportunity Team Role in the assignment rules?
Question 4: It seems like the Sales Stage fires first (which creates the automated tasks) before the assignment rule fires....
    Help please...
    Thanks in advance,
    Jasmin

    Hi Abhijit,
Indeed as you stated, the team assignment can only be self-assigned. Meaning that a manager cannot assign a team assignment to another member. Customizing this feature could be quite complex and time/money consuming. If you decide to go that way, then it
    is out of my knowledge.
Using the "reassign task" feature will not help because once reassigned, the manager will not be able to change the assignment again for another resource.
I'd rather suggest to put in place a process together with the project manager who is actually managing assignments in the project with Project Pro. For example the manager can access the project plan and should only update his resources on assignments but
    not the project itself.
    Hope this helps,

  • Is it possible to filter Account Assignment rule by Account Creators Role?

    Hi,
We have enabled Account Assignment rule but would like to know how we can filter the rule to fire only when the Account Creator's role is not equal to "Account Manager"
    Is this possible?

    hi Subbu,
thanks for replying but that does not fit our requirement.
our account assignment's Unassigned Owner is our CRM Admin Clerk and that works.
the rules are set per region + country + state. we have about 15 rules.
so if an admin or intern creates an account, the account assignment works fine.
but if a user with account manager role(we have 10 of them), creates an account, we dont want the owner to be replaced.
    eg.
Rule UK => if Country is UK, assign to ROB.
Rule US => if Country is US, assign to JOE.
Jasmine(INTERN role) creates an Account with Country US. Account assignment runs and it properly goes to JOE.
JOE(Account Manager role) creates an Account with Country UK. Account assignment runs and it gets assigned to ROB. => This is the one we want to fix. Since JOE is an account manager, it is assumed he created the account because he should be the owner and therefore should not go to ROB.
Somehow, there is no way to filter based on who created the account.

  • Extract Assignment Rules

    Hi All,
Is it possible to extract Assignment Rules of Account / Opportunity via code or Migration Tool ?
I was looking for a way to extract the Rules, Rule Criteria and Team Assignment into XML file.
    Thanks!

CMP, yes you would need to default this field to Y or add workflow to set it to Y. I would recommend that you do not use "Groups" and consider using Book of Business or Teams instead.

  • What are Task assignment adapter and Task Assignment Rule?

What are Task assignment adapter and Task Assignment Rule?

Task assignment adapter lets you return a value to the type and assignee values in the adapter. You can use these to dynamically assigned to users or groups.
Task assignment rules let you specific the priority in which the assignment rules are done. If you go to any process task adapter and open it. Go to the assignemnt tab. Here is where you can specifiy your rules to create an order of determination. You can have multiple entries with rules determining organization and then have them assigned to appropriate groups in each assignemt rule entry. Or you can dynamically assign by using the default and a task assignment adapter to figure that out.

  • Assignment Rule to bring parent integer data to child

I am trying to bring data from an integer field in a parent record to the same field in its child through an assignment rule in SAP MDM Data Manager.  After running the rule, I get the dialog box notifying me that the assignment rule was successful ("There were no assignment errors"), however, the number does not come through.
I thought the issue was with the parent field going to the field of the same name in its child, so I tried a different integer field, and this did not work either - same result as before.
I tried changing the target field to a text field.  The number that was supposed to come over was 14, but the result in the text field was "1:14;".
Is the problem arising because there exists the possibility of multiple relationships?  Is there a way to bring over only the actual number, so that this data may go to a sortable field?  Please advise.

    Hi Rachel,
you are right, there is a possibility of multiple relationships. That's why your result is 1:14;. It could also be something like 2:14,15;.
If you are sure that there is only one relationship, you may want to try to simple take away the unnecessary information using something like
    MID(<field>,2,LEN(<field>)-1)
You should then get only the number, which would possibly fit into an integer field.
    Hope that helps.
    Best regards
    Christian

  • Siebel Assignment Manager: Multiple Assignment Rules

    Hi All,
We have a requirement where in we have multiple assignment rules for a single assignment object.
Each Rule has only one candidate. When mutiple rule satisfy, it will assign the highest scoring candidate along with other candidates, keeping the highest scoring candidate as Primary.
We only want to keep the Highest Scoring Assignee on the assignment. Anyone knows if this is possible without customization ?
    Regards,
    Prasad Sawant.

    Hi Yossi,
    yes this is possible.
Although I have not done it myself I know that it will work. You should find all necessary steps in Bookshelf "Assignment Manager Administration Guide" Chapter 10.
    You can read it here:
