Lead Free product labeling

Anyone have a good source for guidelines and labeling for the now required Lead Free products for anything that might be construed as a children's product?
A google search seems to up nothing useful.

Hi Liam,
Thanks for your prompt reply. I added the "Gift voucher" field back in as suggested and tested the process out again. I now get the following error instead: ERROR: You've chosen gift voucher as the method of payment but no gift voucher is associated with this order. Please go back and enter in a gift voucher code or choose a different method of payment [ERROR: 4]. Please go back and correct this.
Do you know why this is?
As the item is free, do you advise keeping the same download process in place - going through the checkout?

  • RoHS (lead free) in MSI boards

Does anybody know for sure, if new MSI boards are being manufactured using standard SnPb solder, or only with the lead free one?
Since MSI claims that their motherboards use Military Grade III components (i.e. highly reliable), they should use the SnPb solder as the most reliable solution too.
(Military devices have an exception from the RoHS directive)
I just bought the ZH77A-G43 board, so I wonder if it lasts at least for 5-10 years.

The conventional Sn60/Pb40 and Sn63/Pb37 solders are not used by any hardware manufacturer for a long time ago.
It's not only about the WEEE/RoHS directives.
It's more about melting points and oxidation.
But don't waste your time with all of these.
In our local "museum" we have this mainboard: http://www.msi.com/product/mb/815-Pro.html
It's 12 years old, it doesn't understand the "Military Class" concept, but it's still working just fine !!!

Well, the web site building we can get out of the way rather easily:  You cannot build websites with any Photoshop related applications.  Adobe has other applications for that.
You can still buy the full version of Photoshop CS6 with a perpetual license—no monthly payments and you own it. $700 for the standard version, $1,000 for the extended version.
The Photographer's deal gives you a subscription to both Photoshop and Lightroom for $10 per month, but you never get to own the software.  The moment you stop paying, the software ceases to work.
The Cloud thing is not really on-line.  It resides on your computer.  It only has to call the mother ship once a month or so.
Then there's the bargain-basement priced, emasculated Photoshop Elements, with some hand-holding features.
I'm a septuagenarian too, but then I've been using computers for decades, Photoshop seriously for over twelve years.  Photoshop is a professional level application that makes no apologies for its very long and steep learning curve.
Depending on exactly how much editing you need to do to those products shots, you may be satisfied with Ps Elements mentioned above.
There are trial versions for all of the above.

Does anyone know if the first generation ipos touches were made using lead free solder? For that matter, did the first generation ipod touches contain any lead at all?
Also, did the first generation ipods use arsenic free glass, or was that only the second generation on? One last question, were the first generation ipods mercury and cadmium free?

The tech specs for the 1G iPod do not contain any staement oh material us. like later iPods.

  • U00A7RM How product labeling is done in ERP6.0-Recipe management

    Hi,
the PLM recipe management labeling is part of the business function set PLM_RM_PRODUCT_LABELING in the Enhancement Package 4 for SAP ERP 6.0.
With the business function, you can activate the PLM-RM-LBL component. You use this component to create and manage label sets with which you can create print templates for labels, for example.
You find more information in the online documentation for labeling or in the documentation of the business function set:
    example:
    Integration
Labeling is connected to Recipe Management as well as to specification management and phrase management from the Environment, Health and Safety component by means of Business Add-Ins (BAdIs) in the enhancement spot RMSL_LABEL. (See Recipe Management, Specification Management, and Phrase Management).
In specification management, you manage specifications of substances from which the system determines the data for a label set. In phrase management, you define phrases, which you can assign to a label set as marketing statements, footnotes, or diet statements

  • Why app store is asking to vertify payment info for free products?

Why app store is asking to vertify payment method even for free products? And after that I still can not download any free products from the store.

Verifying payment method validates your Apple ID.  You need to do this even if the charge is zero.  Can't get around it.

  • HP DV-Series 6000 to 9500, lead free solder?

    Hi
I've been trying to find out if the HP DV-series was made with lead free solder?
    Thanks for any help.

The DV series with Nvidia GPU wasn't. This includes most of the DV2000/DV6000/DV9000 series- such as DV9207us.  Not to be confused with the newer DV6/DV7 series- such as DV6T 7000.

  • Is SQL Developer free product?

    Is SQL Developer free product?
It says "Free product" on the OTN site, but when I read the License Terms it is different.
Can we use this free product for commercial purpose on the licensed Oracle database?
    or
do we have to purchase a separate license for SQL Developer also?
    any reply is appreciated
    Thanks!
    RG

    Lets be specific.
SQLDEveloper is available without charge under the terms of the OTN license, which has been amended to allow one download to be used in several machines. This includes both development and production use of same. All other terms such as ownership, decompilation etc still hold.

  • Production labels, Need to flag record when successfully printed.

    Hello,
I am using CR2008 and I design a production label, this label goes to the floor to be made. My problem is that, there are orders entered all day long and labels need to be printed twice a day. When the query updates, it pulls the info of all day and the person printing labels cannot identify what has printed. I need to be able to flag or update a field in a table when label successfully prints.
I would greatly appreciate your help.
    Thank You,
    Jose

    Jose,
As long as you have UPDATE permissions in the database (or whomever would be running the report), you can use a Command to do this.
It could look something like this...
    CREATE TABLE #Temp (OrderID INT)
    INSERT INTO #Temp(OrderID)
SELECT OrderID FROM TableName WHERE Fields = Report Criteria
UPDATE TableName SET PrintedFlag = 1
WHERE OrderID IN (SELECT OrderID FROM #Temp)
    SELECT
    Fields For Report
    FROM  TableName
WHERE OrderID IN (SELECT OrderID FROM #Temp)
but unless you are comfortable writing SQL you should stay away from UPDATE, INSERT & DELETE statements... Actually anything other than a SELECT statement can damage your database if you don't know what you are doing.
If you have access to a DBA, let them know what you are trying to do. Writing the necessary SQL should be piece of cake for someone who knows SQL.
    HTH,
    Jason

  • Can I create a logo using a photograph for my product label?

    I need help on this.

You can, but it's probably not advisable unless you understand the ramifications and can justify them.
The "logo" word has been so cavalierly bantered about in recent decades that it's become almost meaningless.
A proper logo is the primary identity mark of a business entity or product. It's the cornerstone graphic. It's the company's signature. It's sacred ground.
Therefore, leaving all design considerations aside, it should meet the highest technical standards, including reproduction consistency, robustness, and versatility. That by far usually means line art consisting entirely of cleanly (painstakingly) optimized vector paths so that:
It can be reliably reproduced at any practical reduction or enlargement with no loss of quality.
It can be reliably reproduced in all media; not just print; not just on the web. The company's business forms (letterhead, envelopes, business cards, invoices) are just the bare basic beginning. It should be suitable for everything from promotional items (pens, plaques, etc.) to the electric sign on the building. It should be suitable for reproduction not just in RGB and CMYK, but in everything from sign vinyl to sheet metal.
And it should be unmistakeably recognizable in all those uses.
So that usually (and wisely) rules out raster imaging as any essential part of the logo proper. You should carefully consider the limitations you are imposing on anything you refer to as a "logo."
It's not that it's never done. For example, a household brand manufacturer may standardize upon a raster image of an idealized farm field as an integral element of the product identity used on the labels for a range of jams and jellies. But the corporate logo itself would be based on proper vector artwork, even if it is stylized with raster effects when printed in certain situations.
So there's a difference between corporate identity and product identity, and there's a difference between product logotype and product branding. For example, almost anyone would recognize a particular raster graphic as one coming from a box of Wheaties, just by its content and stylistic treatment. But by the same token, the Wheaties product logotype would be even more unmistakeably recognized, entirely standing alone, with no raster graphic whatsoever, whether etched on window glass or cast in bronze.
A logo should be documented in an acompanying Identity Style Guide, which clearly defines the specific usage details for any and all forseen situations; from print to signage, to vehicle graphics to embroidered golf shirts to....
If the graphic is dependent upon raster images, gratuitous "effects," and/or even color for its uniqueness, message, or recognition, the designer should immediately go back to the drawing board.
So sure, you can do anything you want, so long as you can get the customer to buy it. The question is whether you (or he) should.

  • Internal production Labels

I have a question on Handling unit management, we are using this application for product traceability.
Creating internal labels for semi finished products & customer labels/internal labels for finished products. Following information required on the label (Material #, HU #, description, Mfg. date etc.).
    1. What stage we can create labels for HU's planned (finished product - customer specific with packaging determination) for production order at the time of release and what transaction (with planning HU / GR / confirmation).
    2. What stage we can create labels for semi finished product for production order at the time of production and what transaction (with GR or confirmations).
Please help me in this issue

Internal Production cost captured as Additional Cost in Summary tab,
You can get its break up in WOR1 table.

  • Using iBooks Bookstore for (free) product catalogues

    Hi all
Does anyone know if there are any restrictions/exclusions for creating 'brochure/catalogue' books in iBooks Author and submitting to the Bookstore for free download? I have looked through the guidelines and cannot find anything that specifically says no or looks like it would be an issue but would rather not spend to much time with our client creating content for it to be refused!
    Thanks in advance
    Kind regards

However, having produced your file to free distribute as above.. then why not submit it. If Apple have any issues  your choice is deal with them or dump it.  It also depends on your payment terms - if you charge by the hour.. your client could rack up a lot of added expense incurred  by your time  de-snagging file issues and re-submitting.
The question is where to draw the line. While it's nice of Apple to accept free books, I'm sure they don't see themselves as a general repository for whatever information someone might want to make available, such as product catalogs.
Somehow, Apple have to make a decision as to what should be accepted into the store what should not. I suspect that things such as product catalogs probably wouldn't make it into the store. Too close to advertising, for one, and probably not of interest to the general public. Basically, if you can see a normal book store putting your publication on the shelf, then you have something that potentially would be appropriate for the iBookstore. If you don't think a paper book store would put the catalog on the shelf, I suspect Apple won't either.

  • Are Automatic Duck's (now) free products likely to sway any more pros towards FCP X  .  .  .  .

.  .  .  .   .  or are there still too many omissions and problems with the new app?
    http://www.automaticduck.com/products/download/index.html
Shane announced it a couple of weeks ago but there was no real follow up, so do  I take it that the free offer was too little, too late?

Well, most of the Duck products are for apps OTHER than FCX.  Getting sequences and media from FCP to Avid...FCP to Smoke and After Effects.  Avid to Legacy FCP. ONE to get from FCX out to something else.  Nothing there go get INTO FCX.
The new app still lacks many many tools I need to get work done.  Besides that, it reinvented editing when editing didn't need to be reinvented.  I use apps that allow me to cut quickly, ones that I have known for years. I have no reason to try to spend months figuring out a whole new editing paradigm...especially when that tool lacks features I need.
