Lead selection Disable

Experts,
Actually i want to disable the selection of table while loading. and if i select some fields i want to show in same page in one transparent container.
So Initially only table should shown with disable the selection of table. And when i select the row the transparent container should show.

You can Achieve this by two way either set the node's Initialized Lead Selection Property to false or set it on the run time by setting the nodes setLeadSelection Property to -1.

Now If I want to disable either Yes or No radio button, I am unable to do so. because If I disable the radio button group it disables both. So, I can have lead selected item for ex: Yes which I want to disable. I want to know specifically how this Yes button to be disabled by taking lead selected index item.

How to make a row enabled for lead selection and make other Rows disabled?

Hi,
What I require is:
In a webdynpro table , which can have multiple rows, I want to make the rows which are retrieved fom backend as disabled for selection.
And when I add a new row (using an ADD functionality) , this newly added row should only be enabled for lead selection.
The Table property "enabled" can be assigned a context , and can be used to control the disabling of whole table.But then if I add the new row to this table, even this will be disabled.
I can set lead selection to a the new row, but if the whole table is disabled, this won't work.
Please suggest a solution for this.

Do not set the enabled flag to the whole table but to the editors of each column. Bind the enabled property to a calculated boolean flag in the data source node. In the get method of this flag add a code that will make the editor enabled only if it belongs to the lead selection element.
Now do not allow the selection of rows in the table (there is a property for this, perhaps is named rows selection I don't remember well now), but change the lead selection of the data source node to the desired element when you add the element programatically.

Hi,
You did not explained what is your functionality or coding in leadselection. Is that action on leadselection is necessary for you?.
1)If you just want to remove the action then go to table properties and remove the action for leadselection.
2)If you still want to continue with your leadselect action, then what you can do is.. write the code in leadselection action to again set the input fields which are out from table. That is what you did in your init method.
Page Refreshing
3) What do you mean by page refreshing? is that refreshing your table only or both the table and input fields.
What I understood is you are allowing the user to enter values in table and soon after pressing a button the values should be saved and the data in input fields shld be deleted. For this if you only invalidate the node then the user entered data will be lost.
So what you do is after getting the input data from the user add it to a ArrayList and then invalidate the node which clears the data in input field. Finally bind the Arraylist to your node. see the following code. This is a concept make changes according to your requirement

Lead Selection to be disabled for some of the records in Table

Hi ,
I have 5 records in table .User shouldn't be allowed to select four rows thosse four rows should be in disable mode just for display purpose.Only one Row must be allowed to select(lead select).
How can I Achieve above Functionality.

Hi Kiran,
Probably you might have tried the following.
Bind OnLeadSelect event to some action.
And in that action method write the code to fetch selected lead and check if it is 0(first row) else set leadselection to 0

if(selectedRow!=0)
wdContext.node<node name>().setLeadSelection(0);
With this code the user can not select any of the rows other than first.

I have table with multiple rows and multiple columns.
Based on the lead selection of the row we are displaying the some form.
But in table row there are some columns like enter date, when the user is trying to enter the date, it displaying the form because of lead selection and it is not allowing the user to enter the date.
So, I want disable the lead selection for some columns.
How can I do this?

I think that you can get the UI Table in the wdDoModifyView method, and then the UI Column and play with his values, is something like this:
IWDTable table =(IWDTable)view.getElement( ");
And then play with the "column" methods.

How we can disable lead selection programitically?

I have a standard SAP's WDA and it has a TABLE (not ALV pls.) node, I mean, the node is defined as Cardinality 0...n; Selection 0...n; Lead selection is checked
For some reason, we need to disable/uncheck this Lead seelction so that default lead selection will not occur and user has to explicitly select the row
Pls. let us know how can we achieve our requirement, code snippet pls. if u get a chance

You can achieve your requirement as below
Create post exit enhancement for WDDOMODIFYVIEW( ) method
Identify the context node bound for standard table and write the below code
          data lo_node type ref to if_wd_context_node.
         " Clear the selected row(s) only for first time
          if FIRST_TIME eq abap_true.
               lo_node = wd_context->get_child_node( name = wd_this->wdctx_my_node ).
               lo_node->clear_selection( ).
          endif.
Note: Replace 'my_node' with your node name

ECATT abends during recording when lead selection is set to 0 on web dynpro

We have a web dynpro application that works ok when running by itself.   When we tried to record ECATT testing on it, it abended after we click on a selection from a list of values.    The error on the browser indicated an error on the "lead select".   After reviewing the dump, we found that it abends on an exception when the lead selection on the ALV is not set.   When we changed our code to set the lead selection to 1, the ECATT recording worked.
We have a requirement to set the lead selection of ALV to 0 so we need to change back our code.   We just did the setting to 1 just to get ECATT recording to work for now.    Does anybody know why ECATT requires this?   Is there a support packs that fixes this?

Lead Selection does not work after setting filter for ALV.

Hi, Can you please suggest on below scenario :
I have a Node with a sub node in it .
I am using the supply function on Sub Node to retrieve the date based on Parent Node.
There are two ALV's to display parent and item data. The issue is when a filter(user defined filter) is done on Parent table, the supply function does not work. The value is that of the selected row before setting the filter. Even after removing the filter, the item data is stuck and does not change on Lead Selection.
One thing I noticed is if the child table is a table UI, there is no issue. The only problem is when the second table is ALV

Now, I also tried opening another pop up window. I created a view called 'PopUp'. now.On selecting a row in the table I want to open this window(PopUp) .I tried the below code:

I think u didn't diclare "node" as context node. So declare it as a context node before using as a context node..as below

or u can use "lo_nd_child " as ur context node in ur program in place of "node"
then I think this error will be removed.

Lead Selection takes a long time

Hi Experts,
I have an ALV table in my component that has a lot of fields i,e 82. When ever i try to do a lead selection on the alv the system takes a lot of time to do the action even though there is no code that was written to run on that action (and i have implemented the first time check in modify view so there is no chance of this running either). Someone please let me know how i can reduce the time of lead selection in my ALV.

I have three views.The first is the search view and the other two are the tables view.
In the second view..I have to display the data from the BAPI in to the table..and on the lead selection of any row and after pressing the Get Detail button I should get the Details from the BAPI for the particular row in the Third view or Table.
Kindly provide me the logic to make it working.

So after navigation logic is implemented, next step is to pass lead selection data from view2 to view3. This can be done by storing leadselection index in the Contoller context and access the same from view3. So just get the index and get the nodeElement and display the details.

Its working fine. but when ever i add more than one row, the selection made in the previous rows drop down is lost.

You only have only one option in the DDI to display in the example. when you have multiple values
i assume that by adding an empty row like this will lose the SELECTION MADE in DDI. (Correct me If i am wrong)
somehow i believe that we need to bind the DD values using SET LEAD SELECTION INDEX METHOD FOR THE DDI when they are already selected and trying to BIND.

you need to bind it explicitly.
you have to create an element and bind the DDI values for adding an row as SARAVANAN said.
or i guess you can continue with you code but need to use SET LEAD to display the correct SELECTIONS MADE
