Lead time setting

hi there,
as i know i able to set all the lead time in item master setup in day as calculation.
lets say, if the item is raw material, and i will be able to receive the item two hours  later after i send out the purchase order, so how am I going to set the lead time in the item master?

Hi Terry Lee,
You can enter 1 day in lead time.
As it is only used in MRP wizard to produce recommanded Purchase Order and Production order.
In case the Item is not in stock, MRP wizard will recommand to prepare Purchase Order OR Production Order depending upon Procurement Method defined in Planning Data tab in Item master for that item.

Is it possible to set lead time with reference to Inco term.I want to capture transit time in combination of Vendor & Material with reference to Inco term. Any other provision except the field of Plnd delivery time of Info record & GR processing time of Material Master.

  • Sales order is not taking shipping transit lead time into consideration

    Hi,
    We have following scenario -
    1. Sales order is created in AT organization.
    2. There is no onhand in any of the organizations including AT.
    3. The scheduled ship date for sales order comes as order creation date + item lead time = 15-Sep-2011.
    3. PO for sufficient quantity is available at UK org with need-by date as 01-Jun-2011.
    5. Post processing item lead time for this item is 1 day.
    4. intransit shipment is setup between UK and AT.
    5. Shipment Transit lead times are also set up at 3 days between locations of UK and AT.
    6. ASCP plan is run.
    7. Sales Order is unscheduled and rescheduled via API MSC_ATP_PUB, which takes the ATP details from UK (based on the sourcing rules). The sheduled ship date comes as 02-Jun-2011 (PO need-by date + 1 day of post processing).
    8. Expectation is that API should also take transit lead time into consideration while calculating the ATP dates and hence the Expectation is that scheduled ship date should come as 05-Jun-2011 (PO need-by date + Transit lead time + 1 day of post processing).
    Please let me know
    a. if this is standard functionality of oracle or not.
    b. if this is standard functionality then what setups are missing required for the same to be achieved.
UAT is held up for this issue. Please help urgently.
    Regards.

Oracle is supposed to take the in-transit time into consideration.
Are you running a constrained plan or an unconstrained one?
Make sure you defined the inter-org network as described in http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/A60725_05/html/comnls/us/inv/shipne01.htm.
or go to Inventory > Setup > Organization > Inter-Location Transit Times and enter it there.

  • Purchase-How could I consider Transit time and lead time in imported mat.

My doubt refers about master data configuration of imported material.
    My sittuation is :
Material - Lead Time:  (depend on source)
                   Transit Time: (depend on source)
My company is responsable to transport all bought material. Besides, I can buy of differents suppliers.
Considering these rules, It s impossible to fix dates in material master, because material purchase is related with center and not with supplier. By the way, I need to discover other master data to configure it maybe : Inforecord, quotization... Whatever...
I need to correct this to generate Purchase order with dispatched date of my source against required date of my company after execute MRP.
I tried to study this scenario but until now I ve not got a solution.
Probably, you have had it before and can help me.
    I hope your help!
    Thank you!
    Regards!

Create POs with respect to either PIRs (if you don't need to print out) or Contract/item, both of these are Vendor/material specific so you can set lead times accordingly .  Probably best to use Source List and set requirement in material master too (Purchasing view).

Please help. This is very important.
    Thanks,
    Laura

    Hi Laura,
The RLT can be set in the Masters Materials.MMR and Also in the Documnet Type Configuration.
But as per SAP standard Procedure the Prority will be the document type.
That means the RLT given in the Order document will overseed the RLT given in the MMR.
Go to material master and select MRP3 view. There see what is maintained for "Strategy group". Now go to OVZG, select this Requirement Class and tick the field "Rq" against this.
Now go to OVZH, select your Requirement Type and ensure that the above Requirement Class is assigned to your Requirement Type.
Now create a sale order and check in MD04.
    Hope ethis helps u..

  • Lead time only optional

    Hello,
would like to setup lead time comming from catalog only as optional without check.
Now system is transfering lead time during creation of shopping cart. If the approval is not performed on the same day when shopping cart is created, system is issuing error message that delivery time is less that lead time.
    Any hint?
    TIA
    GOrdan

    Hi,
What is your SRM version?  I think the delivery date is re-calculated based on lead time.
For example, Lead Time 3 days.
SC create.  2008-03-20 -> Delivery date is set 2008-03-23
Manager Approval 2008-03-22 -> PO delivery date will be 2008-03-25
You may change the mesage to warning. Please check the Message Control customizing.
You can also clear the lead time by BADI BBP_CATALOG_TRANSFER.

  • Lead Time recalculation/update

    Hi,
The requirement in my project is the following:
I have a lead time for one material of 10 days. After two months I have recieved 2 PO's, one with 14 days and other with 12 days. The new lead time should be 13 days.
There is any way to calculate this and update the material master?
    Thanks in advance,
    Guiza

    Guilherme,
WPDTC is the TCode that you run to calculate the planned delivery time.  This transaction is available as of version 4.7.  Currently we are upgrading from 4.7 to ECC 6.0 and it still exists in 6.0.  There is a good description at this link in the SAP Help Library.
    [http://help.sap.com/saphelp_47x200/helpdata/EN/f3/41b53c4d36265ce10000000a114084/frameset.htm|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_47x200/helpdata/EN/f3/41b53c4d36265ce10000000a114084/frameset.htm]
This program gives you a report of what the planned delivery times are in the info record, material master, vendor, and the calculated PDT based on documents and actual deliveries in the system.  You select the items you wish to change and click the Change Planned Delivery Time button.  You get a pop-up to verify you want to change the values.  Basically, this is a mass change tool for planned delivery time similar to physical inventory transaction MIBC - Set Cycle-Counting Indicator that calculates and changes the material master indicators.
    Hope this helps,
    Paul

  • Lead time issue

    Dear Sap Gurus,
Is there is any report or in table  to check all the transportation Lead time settings  setting for particular plant  for all customers ? Because i need to upload several new Lead Time  due to the updation in transportation
I want  compare the differences in system and the new Lead time whih is going to be updated.
    Thanks

    Hi,
Try joining VBAK, VBAP, LIKP and LIPS tables.
take sales order number, confirmed quantity and document date from VBAK and VBAP tables and populate accordingly Actual PGI date and planned PGI date from LIKP and LIPS table. You can also take BKPF and BSEG if required. From this you will be able to find the time required between punching the sales order for confimed quantity and delivery to the customer.
    Thanks

  • Lead time for POs

hello, I am new to this bog, but can anyone help me with a t-code for getting the lead time (planned delivery time) report i.e. how can we identify if a PO has materials with longer lead times for a set of purchasers/vendors ?

We experienced such a problem ... using only BEx functionalitites means (at the end) using Virtual KF ...
Considering the complexity calculation to be made this is a time consuming approach that has even an high response time (in terms on minutes ... depending on the amount of data)
During Data Load create two more technical KFs to store intermediate values of the formula (X^2 and a counter ...): this because of the fact that BEx formulas work AFTER Aggregation.
    Hope it helps

kindly help me in this regards, I would be so kind of you.
    Thanks

    Hi,
There is a standard report that shows the actual average LT compared to the master data definitions. You can also see the details, and even update master data automatically if you want; WPDTC.

  • LTP run ignoring GR processing time and Lead time

    Hi,
I am trying to find out way to create a planning scenario (MS31) and run LTP (MS01) which will ignore the GR processing times and Lead times from Material master.
I would like to use MCEC report (after running MS70 valuation) which will show the values only in my new fiscal year - for budgeting purposes. Currently because of the long GR processing times and Lead times in material master (sometimes even 60 days) - some planned values show in MCEC report 2 or 3 months before the new fiscal year and the last two periods of new fiscla year are empty.
I would be grateful if you could help me with getting rid of these additional Times and adjusting the periods only for Report purpose. The desired final output should be that S012 table for this specific planning scenario has the values only in periods of the Fiscal year - without hitting previous Fiscal year last periods (due to lead /GR processing times).
    Thank you,
    Karol

    Dear,
Master data is taken from normal MRP views. there is no other setting is available. you can create a different matrerial number for LTP planning.

  • Supplier Processing Lead Time with ASCP Unconstrained Plan

    Hi All,
Is it possible for unconstrained plan to consider supplier lead time constrained which we define in ASL?
I have defined an Unconstrained Plan & the plan is not considering Item Level , ASL Lead times & generating the planned Orders to meet demand due dates by compressing the Lead time.
Constraint option is not checked in plan options.
Appreciate your advise on this issue.
    Regards,
    Pranay Saxena

    Hi Pranay,
An unconstrained plan cannot have ANY constraint.
So it is not possible to have just the supplier lead time as constrained.
Alternatively, if that is what is your requirement, you may run a constrained EDD plan with just the material constraints enabled and the "Enforce Purchasing Lead Time" Flag checked.
If the supplier capacity is NOT set.. it will be treated like infinite..
This way you will force the engine to respect the lead times from ASL and acheive a near unconstrained plan.
Another alternative is use constrained plan as explained above and set the profile MSO: Lead Time Control to Do not Violate Minimum processing LT... in this case even the processing LTs for the MAKE items are also respected.
    Hope that helps.

  • Lead time for Item / Weekends

    Hi
I am confused about the lead time to be entered for the item planning/MRP.
Do I include weekends when entering lead times in Items master data or not?
    2 weeks = 10 days or 14 days?
In MRP I can select to respect Holidays. Does that also influence calculation of weekends as well or are weekends respected anyway?
    Thanks
    Franz

    Hi Gordon,
    Thanks.
    My Holiday dates settings are:
    - Weekend from Saturday to Sunday
    - Ignore weekends for payments (but this is really for payments only and has no influence on MRP, I assume)
    - The table lists holidays like easter or X-mas, only
As you said: This would mean that Item Master Lead time needs 'working days' to be entered.
If I get that straight, it is important to select to respect holidays in MRP with this setting. Otherwise the due dates for orders in recommendation report will end up too short/too close to the real date needed and a purchase order may be placed too late.

  • How to influence lead time from vendors

    Hi All,
I am trying to figure out how I can consider the impact of the Chinese New Year on the lead times of finished goods manufactured in China and sent to plants in the USA. I set up a special data range to account for this in the Calendar which was then assigned to the Time Stream ID.
My initial thought was to assign the Time Stream ID to the Shipping Calendar at the Vendor location (location master) but this does not seem to have made an impact on the lead time. I also tried using the Production Calendar, but this was also without success.
Does any have any recommendations that would assist me here.
    Kind Regards,
    Paul

    Hi Paul,
If you are using APO PPDS means production planning heuristics from PPDS Scheduling will be done based on Planned delivery time in external procurement relationship. Planned deliver time will be considered based on production calender mentioned at vendor location.
You may be facing problem because transfer to R/3/ ECC will consider planned delivery time in calender days. Check your setting in CIF that you are not retransfering planning results from ECC back to APO.

  • Total replenish lead time

    Hi gurus,
anyone can explain why this field (total replenish lead time) is designed to enter manually instead of system automatically calculate from BOM for a manufactured part? and how does it work according to the following scenario:
product X is produced in plant=1000 from material A and B (both A and B are procured externally for plant 1000, to simplify the case)
in plant 1000, PO processing time=1day
A: planned del.time=3 days, GR. processing time=1 day.
B: planned del.time=5 days, GR. processing time=1 day.
to make X need 2 operation: 1st operation need 1 day to assemble A and B together, after assembling, 2nd operation need 1 day to paint, 1 day to dry
what's the total replenish lead time we should enter for X?
    thanks,
    cookie

    Dear Cookie
3.if it's only for availability check, does that mean the MRP would not be affected by this field, then what would be the lead time feed into MRP? what's the relationship between MRP and availability check? why they use 2 different sets of data?
    1) MRP will not take this field into Account for Calculating Dates
    2) MRP for in-house materials - in-house production time & GR Procesing time ( Lead time )
3 ) For external Procured materials - PR processing time , Planned delevery time & GR Processing time
    4) MRP Net Req. Calculation Concept is different from Availbility check Concept
