Leaking Battery into my Macbook Pro

I have a Macbook Pro that was purchased at Best (?) Buy!. This is the MacBook that has a removable/replaceable battery., I initially had my apple battery replaced and BestBuy replaced (under warranty) it with one of their batteries. Now their battery has leaked inside of my MacBook Pro. The Geek Squad just replaced the battery and sent it back to my local store for me to pickup.
I refused delivery as the battery that they put in is now unremovable. (Im assuming the old battery acid has glued the new battery). The computer reeks of battery acid. They are now going to take the computer back to repair and clean out the acid..... How do I know that in a few months from now the acid doesn't eat through something and now I'm without warranty coverage.... The smell is awful, bordering on nauseating...
I told them this should be grounds for a replacement computer. Of course the computer works "just fine." At least for now...
Anyone have any experience with this type of "repair"? What recourse do I have? I know, never go to Best Buy....Live and Learn....

Best Buy (Geek Squad) sent the computer back. Cleaned the battery acid out of the battery compartment and on the inside (supposedly!). They replaced the keyboard and case around the keyboard. Got it back and worked ok except the touchpad had issues of not clicking correctly. Then the computer wouldn't charge. Thought it might be the charging block. Took it to BB and they determined it was the computer itself and not the charging block!.
I told them once battery acid leaks inside its only a matter of time before something else happens!!!...
They are not (this is the fourth time its been in for repair. Under the Geek Squad Black Tie Protection plan they will replace it with a "product of like kind and quality..blah blah blah! or reimburse you for replacement of the product with a voucher or gift card.
I can't imagine they would have some old laptop of this version hanging around,, but I digress!...
I'd like them to replace with a new unit and I'd pay some type of upgrade fee....???? I know not likely.

Thanks for linking me! Wow I had no idea the clock speed would be cut so severely! What a bunch of rubbish, as if the AC won't provide enough power!
I guess the only solution to my question would be an app which virtually disconnects the battery but tricks the mac into thinking the battery is still connected. I'm just surprised Apple haven't yet started to build prisons for the government - considering how well they lock up their software and hardware!

Did you disconnect the battery cable when you installed the RAM? Make sure the cable is connected?

I work with video, and am trying to save my minidv cam's life. is there a more direct way to input directly from a vcr/television into my macbook pro? because right now i'm having to input from my vcr/television into my minidv then into my macbook through firewire.

I thought that cables and adapters worked the same going either direction. I believed that the only concern was the male or female end points on them. Not sure anymore though

2 thunderbolt displays worked fine daisy chained, moved one to work in other room, now only one will work. both work independantly or both plugged into my macbook pro.

I have 2 thunderbolt displays and have had them daisy chained for months where I only would plug one into my macbook pro 15" retina and both displays have worked great. The other day I moved one of them into the conference room, connected also a HDMI cord to a projector to do some work with staff on software design.
I brought my thunderbolt back into my office and plugged it back into the other thunderbolt dispay, then plugged the other display back into my macbook and started it up and now I can only get one to work daisy chained. They both work great independantly or if both of them are plugged into my macbook pro, but not daisy chained any longer.
Is there a setting I need to look at to maybe reset so that my macbook pro will use both thunderbolt displays daisy chained?

Why does it matter if it a scam????? I'll let you figure that out by yourself. If I'm going to replace it, why should I be contempt with a battery that I have to replace within months (as stated by some people in the comments). The issue here is not if I should or not replace it OBVIOUSLY I'm going to have to before it starts going crazy. The underlying issue is why is the replacement battery for a lack of better words " a bit crap." It comes with a 3 month guarantee?? Is that a joke?!??!?! Some people complained it malfunction after only 8- 9 months? I'm sorry but as an Apple fan I think it's absolutely rubbish. I know there is no magic cure I'm just hoping someone shines the light on how crappy this replacement is.

Correct. All sync features are turned off and if is 'manually manage' somewhere, I have checked the box to do so. So basically everything is set for me to manage manually, yet my iPod playlists are still being deleted.

No and Yes
Don't use TM for this purpose, clone your drive to an external, plug the external into another MBP and reboot from it. Please note that booting a machine that came with Lion may not be possible from a drive with Snow Leopard.

When I started with boot camp, the system promped me to create a disc, which I presume is for the drivers for windows 7. Now windows is intalled. What do I do with the CD that the system created for me? Also, why does the system automatically start in Win7 instead of Lion. I need to pression the option key to have it start in OS X. I thought it was supposed to be the opposite.

Insert it while you are in Windows, if it does not autostart run setup.exe.
Choose your startup disk using Apple>System Preferences>Startup Disk (in OSX) or Control Panel>Boot Camp>Startup Disk (in Windows)

have you tried looking in the App Store, to see if you can redownload iWeb and iPhoto there gratis?
If you haven’t done so already, you should purchase an external hard drive to act as a Time Machine backup destination, so that you’ll have an option to rollback to a working environment if a new OS installation is troublesome.

How old is your Mac? If it is an older one, then the battery may just be dying. You can check by clicking on the Apple in the upper left-hand corner, then clicking on About This Mac>More Info>System Report, then click on Power (about half way down the list). At the top of the resulting display, you should see the following type of info:
The Health Information will tell you if your battery is going to need replacement soon. If it says Normal, then it is not the battery.
