LEAP protocol for ipaq 5450

Our facility is using LEAP protocol for WLAN. I would like to use my new ipaq 5450 with buildin WLAN to access. Has anyone tried LEAP with a pocket pc? Anyone know if CISCO has a driver for ipaq 5450 for LEAP?

Oops. Sorry I have a 3870. With a aironet pcmcia card. There are very few companies that support LEAP's proprietary protocol. Some companies are licensing it with cisco. I am facing the same challenge with these built in WLAN (True Moble) cards from Dell. Unless its an aironet cards or a intel2100(newly licensed from cisco) LEAP functionality is probably going to be next to impossible. at least for now

  • Aironet 1100 with iPAQ 5450 and LEAP

    Hi All,
I have a 5450 iPAQ with built in LEAP support. We use the 1100 Aironets on our WLAN. When I enable LEAP on the iPAQ the device never associates to the AP at all?
I have debugged for "dot11 aaa dot1x all" on the AP but never see any events coming through. It looks as if the device is not associating to the AP at all. The status on the device just sits on "Initialiasing".
I'm running 12.2(8)JA on the 1100. Is there a setting I'm missing to support non-cisco hardware from the AP because my Cisco LAN adapter works fine with LEAP from my laptop.
Has anyone else seen this or got it working?

Try resetting all WEP keys on both the AP and the client card. This can help confirm that an error in the key entry was not made, thereby precluding this as a possible source of the inability to complete an association.

  • HP iPAQ 5450 with Windows Mobile 2003 802.1x and certificates.......

This maybe a bit off topic but I am struggling trying to get some answers out of HP.
We have some HP iPAQ 5450/5550's all running Windows Mobile 2003 - to use 802.1x Authentication with PEAP or TLS-EAP we need certificates installing on the PocketPCs. We have a Windows 2000 Active-Directory integrated Certificate Authority that publishes certificates to W2K machines OK - initially HP didn't include any way of importing Certificates but have released the SDK Certificate Enrolment Tool (enroll.exe). We have tried for several days to get a certificate but to no avail and we are struggling to find any information out. Has anyone on here managed this? If so how?
    Thanks
    Andy

Obviously the WindowsCE devices can't be 'members' of the domain as they would need W2K to do that (create a computer account etc). The enrollment tool is available from HP's website (software & drivers etc). Once I installed the enroll.exe tool I modified the enroll.cfg file to request a 'computer' certificate from my CA, this is now installed and appears in 'Settings, System, Certificates'. I have yet to actually test this with a Cisco AP as I just can't get my hands on one.......

  • What's the proper protocol for a reset on my ipod touch 4g?  iOS 6 has totally jacked it up and it will no longer do anything but crash, and won't sync with itunes wirelessly or by cable.

What's the proper protocol for a reset on my ipod touch 4g?  iOS 6 has totally jacked it up and it will no longer do anything but crash, and won't sync with itunes wirelessly or by cable.
It's a 64G ipod touch and was fine till Apple told me to upgrade to ios 6.  Now most of my apps crash, my music won't play and I just get a white screen when I hit Music.
When I try to sync to itunes it acts like it's going to sync and appears to recognize the ipod, but it's grayed out and has an update circle by it that spins for a while until itunes eventually freezes alltogether.  Is there a  way to go back to ios 5 after a erase and reset?

  • Best Protocol for GPRS Chat

    Hi Guys,
I have to develop a GPRS Chat just like MSN or yahoo. Will Sockets be better or HTTP protocol is the best?
I understand that if I develop it on Sockets, i need to have a Server Program running at all times. If its HTTP, then i need to have Servlet Program there which will act as a Server
Also, whats the best way of developing User Interface?are we limited to TextBox and StringItem?Do we have ListBox?Also i noticed that the Display Class accepts only Item Objects
guys pls help me out here
    cheers,

    Hello-
Couple of thoughts on the discussions here ...
    1) Http will be the easiest to implement although it will create the most overhead. If you are not planning on pushing "data" to the device, then I am assuming that your device will be polling. I dont know what sort of data plan you are assuming that people will have, but you could quickly get to a MB of data. using Http.
    2) If you are assuming that the devices will have a public IP then you can push data. This will be much more efficient (see Push Registry in your device api docs). You can also use UDP to send data both to and from the device. While this is not a "guaranteed" protocol for delivery, from my expierence, it has a 99.9% success rate which might meet your needs (you could have some handshacking there to make sure that packets to arrive which will be alot more efficient then any type of Socket or Http implementation)
    Good luck,
    Gil

  • Protocol for rebuilding MacBook Pro from a fresh FW backup

I have a MacBook Pro 13"  installed with Mountain Lion OSX 10.8.2 -- its been three years since I re-built the machine.
I want the best protocol for using just:
    1) a fresh backup of my MacBook Pro 13" on a FW drive; after
    2) a clean re-install of the OS from a USB drive with a ML install (after wiping the drive cleanin DU, etc. -- which I already know how to do) in order to:

  • Underlying communication protocol for XI proxies (ABAP)

What is the underlying communication protocol for XI proxies (ABAP) ?
So, technically, how does the "actual" communication happen between SAP and XI when using proxies, as opposed to iDocs and BAPIs which use the RFC communication protocol.
And how can you ensure that the proxy communication is "secure" ?
    Thanks in advance.

    hi,
    >>What is the underlying communication protocol for XI proxies (ABAP) ?
    it is SOAP.

  • Do you know a unicast protocol for the Ethernet control plane?

    Hi,
Does anyone know a protocol for the Ethernet control plane which has a unicast destination address?
MVRP, MMRP, MSTP, RSTP, all these protocols have a multicast reserved destination address.
Perhaps we have to look non-802.1Q control plane protocols.
    Best regards,
    Michel

    Hi Peter,
    > I wonder if any of the OAM protocols, especially the one providing the loopback/ping test is unicast-based.
    In G.8013 (07/2011) section 7.3:
"The Ethernet loopback function (ETH-LB) is used to verify connectivity of a MEP with a MIP or
peer MEP(s). There are two ETH-LB types:
    • Unicast ETH-LB.
    • Multicast ETH-LB".
    > In any case, think of LOOP frames sent by Catalyst switches to detect  self-looped ports. In these frames,
    > the source and destination MAC  address are set to the unicast MAC of the egress port.
As I said above, it's a good case for my little study.
The LOOP frame, from Cisco, was certainly interesting and important before 2004.
Since 802.3ah-2004 we have the OAM remote loopback (in link OAM, and not network OAM as ETH-LB).
    Best regards,
    Michel

  • Has anyone done work in LabVIEW with the LLRP protocol for RFID readers?

Has anyone done work in LabVIEW with the LLRP protocol for RFID readers?  I've googled around and didn't find anything.

    Hi G-Money,
The communication will be over TCP-IP.
Thanks for your offer to help.  I don't really need assistance in figuring out how to communicate with the device in LabVIEW at a transport layer.  I'm just trying to take inventory on what's already been done, at a messaging protocol level, that could be useful as a reference or starting point.
    Thanks,

  • How to define document protocol for Custom/Generic message of ASCII types

We need define for B2B document protocol for Custom over Generic message type to receive/process ASCII message (either fixed or indefinite length) from Trading Partner, can anybody tell us if you have done it with detailed example and instruction:
    1) In creating protocol revision/document definitions, do I need an Edifecs .ecs file? if yes, how to create the format for indefinite string? if not what I should put in document
definition for 'IDoc ecs File' ? (we actually we may have two different types
of ASCII message, not sure how to differentiate them)
    2) Does Identifying expression need message/document translated into XML first ? since it's for
'Identifying XPath Expression' which implied existence of XSD
    3) Please provide detailed example you accomplished this in B2B
Thanks in advance for any help!

Yes its something on the similar lines but looks like this comparator needs to be at some specific place.
I tried to implement comparator interface in the custom domain data type class but it still throws the same exception.
Looks like RowComparator needs to be defined somewhere. any idea where?

  • Protocol for re- installing Dreamweaver CS5 and reconnecting to files

My web site was working fine till I had malware on my computer and had to clean and re install all programs. I re installed CS3 and then my upgrade to CS5. I went to set up site to reconnect files and now cannot connect to FTP or up load photos for this month. I posed this question 2 days ago and no response and no help. Do I need to take it to Spry Framework where I can get a response?
Web site is www.williamshomesteadranch.com  There are 4 pages that are ok and I had to use Filezilla to update them. The other pages will not connect any way to FTP.
    I would really appreciate help!
    Sue

I do have it copied onto an external hard drive and the original is still there. After talking with Adobe today and finding out their tools system is down till Monday, I plan to un install and reinstall and redefine with the original files. They still should have everythin the same. I have never had to re do this in 4 years and did not remember what was supposed to be there. Is there a protocol for reinstalling since I have to do the CS3 first and then the CS5 upgrade?

  • Communication protocol for DAM CQ5

    Hi ,
I want to do performance testing on Adobe CQ5 DAM application using load runner. In order to identify the protocol to be used in load runner for recording scripts please suggest me the possible types  of communication protocols used.  Previously I used Flex protocol for recording an apllication developed using flex technology. Similarly i need a protocol to be used for CQ5.

    Hi Karthikt1,
You can access the CQ DAM via HTTP, WebDav or CIFS [1] .   Some extra information on WebDav at [2], and there are some useful cURL commands at [3] to get you started with the HTTP access.

  • Protocol for port 1521 connection?

Does anyone know which protocol for using port 1521 connection, for example if I use sqlplus username/password@INSTANCENAME or use toad to connect to the remote Oracle database instance.
    Thank you.

I'm not sure exactly what protocol you're looking for. You may be looking for something like TCP/IP, which is specified at the TNS layer on your connection string (normally TCP/IP, but there are other protocols). You may be looking for SQL*Net, which is an Oracle proprietary (and officially undocumented) protocol. You may be looking for something else entirely.
