Learned Control Messages for LE8's Instruments Not "Sticking"

Hi All;
Please forgive my newbie ignorance on this one. I've recently been using a Novation X Station 61 with LE8 and I am attempting to "learn" the many beautiful knobs and dials of this controller with the Logic synths that I use often. However, the learned functions work only for a short time and then cease to work any longer. I understand that these controller functions actually are fader messages and not Midi CC messages and I am wondering if this is the problem. I thought using the "learn" function in LE8 would work around this. Has anyone had this problem and if so has there been any work around on this?
I have the same issue with an older Radium 61 controller as well so I'm guessing it's an issue in LE8 or I am just missing the boat entirely on something.

I am receiving Mail delivery failure messages for emails I have not sent; they are addressed to contacts I've never heard of, many different. Apparently, this is some kind of spam but I don't know what to do about it.

There is nothing you can do about it. It will stop at some point.

Sorry, don't know what else to suggest unless there's a URL to the problem stream that someone here can try. Otherwise we can't test it to try and determine what might be wrong.
BTW, make sure they're testing it with a Mac, not with a Windows system. If they test only with Windows, what they say is or is not working doesn't mean much.

Messages for 10.8.4 not counting unread messages as read.

Been using messages for months with out a problem restored my macbook pro 15 not retina 2012 a few weeks ago using the built in recovery software and then migrated my account over. After that is when i ran in to the problem of messages not counting any of my messages as read i use this for work and its become very irritating we use the jabber protocol for a local ichat server its worked fine till now. iv tired all the fixes others have posted killing the dock reseting pram rebooting even trying another restore didn't help, iv removed the account and readded it removed all archived chats and attachments. tired closing out of each conversation and staring a new one nothing seams to fix it. Iv even tired making a new user account on the computer same problem. any ideas would be very helpful.

Error Message For Photos that will not import

I transported photos from an old pc to my imac using a flash memory drive.
Of the 1000 or so photos, there are 2 that are "stuck" -- they never uploaded successfully.
Now, whenever I open iPhoto, it says "2 photos were found in the library that were not imported. Do you want to import them"
- When I say "Yes", they get imporeted as "recovered photos" in a separate album. But the next time I open iPhoto, I still get the same error message.
- When I say "No", I'm told of a location in my users folder where these files are saved. I go there and delete them, but get the same error message the next time I open the program.

Welcome to the Apple Discussions.
Go to your Pictures Folder and find the iPhoto Library there. Right (or Control-) Click on the icon and select 'Show Package Contents'. A finder window will open with the Library exposed.
Look there for a Folder called 'Import' or 'Importing'.
Drag it to the Desktop. *Make no other changes*.
Start iPhoto. Does that help?

Output Control - Message for Orders

Hi all,
i have in my system a message ZDWO ( Distribution ALE-Partner function CO-Sending immediatly-Condition ORDER TYPE) for sales orders. It works for all kind of orders except for one that hasn't automatic sending (but this type is in the list of conditions).
What can be the reason for this? depending on the partner? or on the type of sales order? or else?
Any ideas?

Hi,
You need to maintain condition records (transaction NACR) for application V1 (Sales). Once you added the missing order type condition, the system will propose the output control in VA02 for the corresponding sales order(s).

Messages for Durable Subscriber are not persisted with Distributed Topic

Setup:
          - Weblogic 8.1 SP 6 cluster with two nodes on single Sun Solaris 5.8 host
          - Distributed topic destination, separate JMS server with separate filestore for each node
          - Standalone durable JMS client connecting to distributed topic destination using specific JNDI name.
          - Messages are persistent (msg.setJMSDeliveryMode(DeliveryMode.PERSISTENT). Delivery mode override for topic destinations is set to "Persistent"
          Test:
          1) Both nodes up, starting durable topic subscriber -> durable subscriber is visible in Weblogic console -> sending X messages -> X messages are received :-)
          2) Both nodes up, killing durable topic subscriber -> durable subscriber is still visible in Weblogic console -> sending X messages -> Messages Current Count for durable subscribers is set to X -> starting JMS client again
          2a) subscribing to same node as before -> console says durable subscriber is active again -> X messages are received :-)
          2b) subscribing to other node -> durable subscriber is automatically migrated by Weblogic to this node, console says that subscriber is active, but Messages Current Count is 0 (zero) -> 0 (zero) messages are received :_|
          Where are my X messages gone?
          Should I open a call or did I misunderstand the basics?

According to Bea Customer Support this is the normal behavior. If you kill a durable topic subscriber and reconnect it with the same id to another node, the old subscription is deleted and all messages still waiting to be delivered are gone.
          Lesson learned: If you need failover for the server AND client use JMS queues.

Disk Utility Error Message for Firewire HD: Could not unmount disk

I have one internal HD with 10.4.2, another with 9.2.2, and an external firewire with 9.2.2. Sometimes the firewire does not show up on my desktop, or when I try to copy files onto it the beachball spins endlessly. When I try to reboot holding down the Option key, the firewire HD does not show up.
I ran TechTools 4.05 (while booted from my Tiger HD) on the firewire HD. Everything checked out.
I tried running Disk Utility on the firewire. The first time this is what I got:
"First aid failed. Invalid key check. Volume check failed. Error: The underlying task reported failure on exit."
I ran Disk Utility again:
"Repairing disk failed with error. Could not unmount disk."
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Your firewire disk is damaged. Try that: restart in safe mode (pressing SHIFT after the chime). Wait for complete boot. Plug the external HDD. Try again with Disk Utilities. Wait the report. My advise is to check its integrity. Try repair. If nothing works, try with DiskWarrior (the best utility).
If DiskWarrior can't do the job, you – definitely have a damaged hard disk.

That message is indicative of a corrupted file.
Since you've already tied re-installing, the Photoshop preferences file comes to mind. Re-installing without first removing the Preferences file is futile, as you end up right back where you started.

Webdynpro for ABAP iView personalization not sticking?

We are currently on EP7 and are having a very odd issue with ABAP Webdynpro iView personalization.
For our Java Webdynpro iViews, we have used iView personalization quite a lot to change field labels, add text, change button text, etcc. all via portal content administration (ctrl+rightclick to make changes from iView preview). These changes would show as custom iView parameters settings on the Java Webdynpro iViews. Then we could put these iViews into our own portal packages and move them to other portals (QA, Production, etc).
However, this is not working quite right with our ABAP Webdynpro iViews. We personalized an iView on our DEV portal. The personalization changes showed just fine for all users (ie. changes to input field labels). However, no new parameter settings show for the iView for the personalization. Also, after packaging, exporting and then importing the iView into the other portals (like moving from DEV to QA), the personalization is gone. We had to manually recreate this on the QA system. However, we do NOT want to do this on the production portal of course nor do we want this to be the method/solution going forward.
So has anyone seen this? Is this some issue/difference between the ABAP and Java webdynpro iView templates?

If it is WebDynPro ABAP iview, if you do the personalization, then your personalization is persisted in ABAP stack. You need to transport it in ABAP i.e R/3 development system to R/3 Quality system. Transporting only iview is not enough.
Note : If you do the personalization for the ABAP iview, it will not be saved in the portal, it will be stored in the ABAP stack.

X120e diagnostic BIOS message "for evaluation only. not for resale"

This is just a minor quibble, but when I enable "Diagnostic" messages in the BIOS, I get the following screen:

I'm guessing the message "FOR EVALUATION ONLY. NOT FOR RESALE" isn't supposed to be there; at least this was this case for some past Thinkpad BIOSes (http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/MIGR-59180.html).
Or do I have some super special x120e?
