Learning Solution - E-learning - Set to Complete

Hi All,
How does the "SET COURSE TO COMPLETED" work. I see it is appearing for some of the e-learnings in learning portal while not appearing for others. Is there any relationship which is supposed to be set or what can it be ?

Hi ,
I looked for that view and id not find it in the system.
But one thing that i found was that the set course to competed comes for some courses after the minimum learning objects has been achieved. I was confused about this thing only. For some courses it appears even if its not started while for some it doesnt appear. But, now got to know this thing.

How can we set the system so that the learner does not have to click on Set to Complete to update the qualification and for the course to "move" to Completed Training Interventions?
We are on LSO 6.00 (ECC6 and Portal 7).

Hi Debbie,
I'm implementing LSO 300 right now, so not sure if there are any new options, but historically, I believe that many customers that wish to automate this process do it by writing a nightly batch job to update that status if a learner fails to do it themselves.
Please feel free to award points if you don't get a better LSO 600 specific answer.

Does SAP Learning Solution support multi-tenancy/SaaS models?

I would describe Learning Solution to be built upon the TEM.
Learning solution provides a web interface where an employee can prebook/book/cancel for the courses available. Also the approvals if required can take place.
Learning Solution offers E-learning facility that is, web based training courses through its interface.
The concept of prebook/book/cancel and followup activities is same as TEM but the transactions in ECC are different PSV1 is LSO_PSV1 similarly PSV2 is LSO_PSV2 and so on.
So if you are going for ESS and Portal and want your employee book courses from web interface then go for learning solution as learning solution also gives e-learning as well.
Incase of TEM if you want the administrator is only responsible for the training activities then go for TEM,
But learning solution offers both administrative tasks through LSO* transactions as well as online booking.
So i suggest you go for Learning solution which by default is present in the new versions of SAP ECC.

Not sure I have got it completely wrong last 18 years, but shouldn't the requirements come from the customer? Obviously with help from annexperienced consultant to refine and discuss them, but if a customer needs a set of requirements from outside, then there's a perfectly cheap solution: they have no real business need and therefore don't need an LSO. Happy days :-)

Business Package for Learning solutions

Can somebody help me on learning solution business package. I have downloaded the package from content portfolio and I am aware there are other related components like LSOCP, LSOAE, LSOOP..

Installing Learning Solution in HR using Standard Business Content

Hi,
I have to set up the extraction for the Learning Solutions cubes in HR into BW using the Standard Business Content.
Could someone please gide me through the process for doing it ( Step-by-Step if possible), both from the SAP R/3 side and the BW side.

Learning Solution- Authoring Environment

Hi,
I am able to create courses in Authoring Environment which can be run in Content Player.
How do an user of portal access the course created using Authoring Environment in Enterprise portal ??
I have released the course, and it is available in KM content(CMS).
My portal user uses stsndard BSP pages available in Business Package BPLEARN502_0-20000624.

SAP Learning Solution consists of a Web-based learning portal, Training Management in the SAP back-end system, and an authoring environment.
Depending on your role in the company, SAP Learning Solution offers you the environment to enable you to competently fulfill your tasks.
Training Management supports both Web-based learning methods and classroom learning by providing access to the virtual learning environment in the learning portal. Training Management is an integral part of SAP Learning Solution.
2. Who's responsibility is it to create content or use the AE? i.e. is it the functional consultant or the end users?
As an author or instructional designer, you are responsible for the course content:
○     You create and structure the course content and tests.
○     You store the created content in the Content Management system.
○     You publish the completed content in the application system so that the course administrator can find and assign the reference to the relevant course content when he or she creates WBTs.
The Authoring Environment contains tools that authors and instructional designers can use to create course content and tests. External authoring tools can be easily integrated into the Authoring Environment.
3. Is their a document / link explainng the navagation of AE & CMS?

i.e. Assume I already have content in a CD, how should I publish it?
You need to import this data as metadata from the AE and create content and checkin, release anc publish in AE. Now in Training Managment system ( Backend) Create course type Web based training.
Now you will be able to find the course in the learning portal.

SAP Learning Solution Offline player

Hi,
Can someone tell me the location of where the content gets stored on the local PC, when a course is downloaded from the leaner portal and is there a setting where we can specify this?

Learning Solution - Setup

Dear All,
Scenario: Training Event Booking
Steps followed Test I :
1. Transaction OOCR = Set the TRSP CORR BLANK - Transport Switch (X = No Transport)
2. Created a Business Event Type without setting workflow
3. Created a Business Event from the above Business Event Type
4. Logged into the Learning Solution through Browser
5. Selected the course and clicked Book for Course
a. Confirmation popup box appears
b. On pressing Yes, Error message Transport connection is active; no changes possible
Steps followed Test II :
1. Transaction OOCR
a. Set the TRSP CORR X - Transport Switch (X = No Transport)
2. Created a Business Event Type without setting workflow
3. Created a Business Event from the above Business Event Type
4. Logged into the Learning Solution through Browser
5. Selected the course and clicked Book for Course
a. Confirmation popup box appears
b. On pressing Yes, Confirmation Message Participation was successfully booked.
6. TXN PSV1 - No booking is found under the Business Event.
Pls let me know you can suggest solution to this.

Are you planning to transport the course objects?
Normally the course objects are loaded into the environment that you want so the test 2 is the right way.
If you are booking from the explorer and if you got a confirmation that the booking was done, then check which environment the connection is pointing to. It might be point to different instance than the one your are checking in.

Learning Solution Installation (NWSR1)

Dear collegues!
Please provide information concerning components to be installed withing "SAP Learning Solution" implementing.
We have NWSR1 box (with 6.40 core).
In SAPINST
There is Netweaver branch & SAP ERP branch...
What should be choosed to install???
Next step, supposing whould be portal installation... Where this option can be found?

LSOFE is an Add-On that is installed on the SAP ECC system or on
a separate NetWeaver Application Server (stand-alone installation).
So it's up to you what option you prefer...
Starting from ECC 6.0 (NW 7.0) LSO is integrated by default (as addon) in ECC server.
For complete LSO landscape you also need EP with deployed LSO specific business packages...

FPN for Learning Solutions?

Hello All,
We have FPN enabled between Corporate NetWeaver Portal and the BI Portal. Now we are looking at implementing SAP HR-HCM-Learning Solution module involving a new HR ECC 6 instance. Since Learning Solution requires EP7, I was wondering if there is a need to set up a new EP7 landscape or use our existing Corporate NetWeaver Portal Landscape and hook it up to ECC 6.0?

Cannot select Technical Usage "Learning Solution - ABAP only" on ECC Server

        My environment are
        a SAP ERP System(ABAP only) in SMSY with
               Product Version = "SAP ERP 6.0"
               Main Instance = "SAP ECC Server" (as Relevant)
                       Note When I select another Relevant for "SAP Learning Sol-Frontend"
                                   Use in logical components; action not possible (see long text)
                                   Message no. SMSY_EDIT_LANDSCAPE413
                                   ... There can only be one relevant ABAP-based main instance. ...
        Select Product Version = "EHP4 FOR SAP ERP 6.0 / NW7.01"
        and Target Stack = "SAP ERP Enhancement Package 4 on NW7.01 - SP Stack 04"
        Existing Technical Usages are
                 - Central Applications
                 - ERecruiting on ECC Server
                 - Financial Supply Chain Mgmt
                 - Human Capital Management
       But I can't add Technical Usage for "Learning Solution - ABAP only" or "HCM - Learning Solution" (The checkbox is in gray color so I can't check it)
       What am I wrong? Please advice.

Hi Choosak,
Try this ,
Go to SMSY transaction then select your system .
In right side you will get the screen where all usage types are defined for your system.
Select learning solution and HCM and save it.
Go back to your solution and see whether you can see Learning solution after that.

Error in the BSP service of business package SAP Learning Solution

Hi all,
I'm implementing the business package for Learning.
I've activated a BSP service in Backend system (ECC 5.0) with BP LSOFE300 (Sap E-Learning Solution).
On testing the BSP service,I've a "Raise Exceptions" on link "Training Activity" and in others link "Error: RC 2".
This is the exception:
Exception condition "INITIAL_LEARNER" raised.
Tipe of interruption: RABAX_STATE
ABAP Hierarchy:
Function: LSOF_LEARNER_GET_ACTIVITIES of program SAPLLSO_FRONTEND
Kindly provide inputs to solve the problem.

could you be more clear on this.
I have a problem described below. I am not sure where it is coming from.
I installed bp for Learning Solution 300 on EP6.0 SP16. It has one BSP iView. The iview is assgined to a page and page to workset and worset to a role. Couple of Portal User ID was assgined this role. SAPR/3 user ids same as portal user ids were assigned to IT105 of PERNR in t-code 'pa30'.
We are using SAP logon ticket method for SSO with ECC5.0.
I logged into portal with one user id and tested the application. The corresponding PERNR was assigned some qualifications, profile match up etc. in the backend. The values are getting updated in the portal.
But when I logged into portal with another user id, I am seeing the same qualifcations of the last 'PERNR' instead of the qualificaitons of 'PERNR' assgined to this User ID.
