Leave conversation option unavailable

I was sent a group message from a unknown number and there are 10 other strangers in the message. I want to leave it but I can't. I have a new iPhone 6 so it has iOS 8 but the leave conversation option isn't there? Some people have the option greyed out but the button isn't there at all..
Why can't I leave and how can I fix this?
Is anyone else having this problem?

To leave a group message in iOS 8 please do the following:
Leave a group. Tap Details, then tap Leave this Conversation.

Leave Conversation not working

Hello,
I have an iPhone 6 with iOS 8.0 and when in a group message, I tap "Leave Conversation". Yet, I still get messages from that same exact group message. So, I tried the "Do Not Disturb" option, same results, I still get the notifications of the messages. What is the problem?

Mute notifications
If you don't want to get notifications for a group message, tap Details. Then turn on Do Not Disturb. You'll still receive the messages in the Messages app, and you'll still receive notifications on the lock screen.

I have lost my view in conversation option.
I can see the option on old emails but not on new ones.
Is that because of an upgrade?

I experience this also sometimes (whatsapp), is this a bug??
sometimes when a person writes 2-3 messages in a row (for instance) in whatsapp (im in standby mode), it sometimes only displayes ONE message in lock screen mode (though he/she wrote more than 1), and sometimes shows the right corresponding written messages!
Why is this?
its really annoyoing when you get messages in lock screen mode BUT it doesnt stay and remain so you notice it. That way you get missed messages etc and notices it first...when doing the "pull-down list".

How do I re-enable the Markzware Q2ID conversion options window?

I'm converting documents from Quark to InDesign using Q2ID. I want the option of converting plain text across from Quark. In InDesign, the only menu options I have for Markzware are Q2ID>Convert Quark document and Q2ID>Help. I've gone to the Markzware online help, and found that Q2ID has a popup Conversion Options window that allows you to convert files without styles. Unfortunately, this window has been disabled. Can anyone help me re-enable this popup window. Markzware help instructions for re-enabling this window follow. Unfortunately, I don't have an Options selection in my Markzware/ID2Q Menu. Can anyone help?
Once you have set the don’t show option, in order to disable it:
1. Go to the Markzware/ID2Q Menu
2. Select Options
3. This will bring up the Conversion Options window
4. Uncheck the don’t show checkbox
5. Click OK
Now, whenever you select an InDesign file to convert, the Conversion Options window will appear.

Unfortunately, this doesn't work. I think there must be hidden commands in the converted file coming from Quark or some other application that prevent the style assignment from working. Some of these documents appear to have been converted multiple times. Worst case, from FrameMaker to Word to Quark, then to InDesign. The imported styles seem to be hopelessly garbled. Even deleting the style, creating a new one and assigning it to the paragraph doesn't work. My conclusion is I must re-type the documents from scratch because the behaviour of converted files is unpredictable. Sometimes a selection will take on the attributes of the assigned style, sometimes it won't.
Any thoughts?

LR3: Adjustment brush 'edit' option unavailable

I just downloaded a trial of Lightroom 3. Im trying to edit photos in RAW and for some reason under the adjustment brush and graduated filter the 'edit' option is unavailable. Do i need to transfer files to JPEG? Help?!?!!

Before an adjustment is made with the graduated filter or adjustment brush in only option is "new", edit is greyed out. After you have made an adjustment you then have the choice when it is reopened to make a new adjustment( A second one) or edit any previous ones, the edit button will now be active since an adjustment exists already. If you want to edit the previous adjustment choose edit and click the gray pin for that adjustment on your image. To make sure pins are visible make sure the toolbar below the image is showing (Keyboard shortcut T) and that "Show edit pins" in the lower right of the toolbar is set to any choice but "never" or pins from previous adjustments won't be visible. I leave it set to always, then as long as the adjustment tool is open the pins will show .

Acrobat 7 Pro - Conversion options for bookmarking

Does anyone know if there is an option when converting MS Word documents to PDF to set the view options for imported bookmarks? Currently they are all imported with the "Inherit Zoom" option and there doesn't appear to be any way to change this which means I then have to edit each bookmark separately to change the view to "Fit Page" - this negates the time saved having the bookmarks imported in the first place!
Alternatively, is there a way to globally change the view options for all bookmarks in a document after conversion has taken place without altering the link destination?
Or final option - does anyone have the JavaScript code that would do this in a batch process please?

In Acrobat 4 there used to be an option to change the conversion settings for bookmarks and these included the settings for the view option. This seems to have been dropped from Acrobat 5 upwards - I use 7, 8 and 9 for work / personal and this option isn't obviously present in any of them.

I did try that but it sets all the destinations to the page you are on at the same time so you lose all the links to the bookmarked pages.
I know you can use JavaScript to actually create bookmarks, so I figured there must be a way of changing the settings for them. I use JavaScript to set the metadata for the documents too so hoped this could be used. Guess I'll just have to spend hours setting them all manually instead! Shame the feature was dropped as we need it for all our PDF documents (and we have thousands of them!)

Word import/linking - index keywords and cross-ref conversion options

Hi all,
there are two options for linking/importing Word documents that seem to have no function. Maybe somebody can clarify what these are used for?
* First, the option "Add index keywords to topics" in the link properties is always greyed out, even if I select this option in the project settings. When is this option available, and why would you choose it rather that creating a new linked index?
* In the conversion settings in the project settings window, there is an option to convert cross-references to hyperlinks. But cross-refs are always converted for me even if this check box is not selected. Does this option do anything?

I created a "RoboHelp for Word" project. I got a Run-time
error '49': Bad DLL calling convention messge.
I keep getting messages saying there is a problem with
Micorsoft Word, or Unable to load Virtual Transaction Module and
had to kill the process using the Task Manager. Obviously, I
abandoned this approach. I did however open that project with
RoboHelp HTML and when I imported a Word document the Index was
created.
Any ideas why?

Video Call Option Unavailable

The Video Calling Option is unavailable to me after I click on the contact I wish to call.

C2C currently does not support Video Calling but PSTN calling.

[SOLVED BY AN IDIOT] KDE4 leave menu options when not using KDM

This problem is more-or-less discussed in other threads, but I'd like to get a more precise answer on something.
(1) Recently I've been bypassing a login manager and starting KDE4 directly from boot*. Is this why I'm not getting the option to shut down or restart on my KDE "leave" menu?
(2) If this is what's going on, is there a way to put shut down and restart on my leave menu?
*I have this in my /etc/inittab:
x:45:once:/bin/su chas64 -l -c "/bin/bash --login -c startx >/dev/
null 2>&1"
And then this in my ~/.xinitrc:

O.K., I think I just won the dumb-you-know-what of the week award.
I'll confess here, just in case it helps somebody else.
I changed from the new Kickoff K-menu to the classic K-menu, and I was happy to see the shutoff and restart options there along with logout.
Then, I switched right back to the Kickoff K-menu. I didn't see the shutoff and restart options.
I didn't see them -- but they were there, the whole time!
I just had to scroll down to the bottom of the Leave menu, beneath "Suspend to RAM" and "Suspend to disk".
Now, if I were designing this part of the interface, I think I would have put Shutdown and Restart just below Logout, but I guess since they're system commands and not session-specific commands, their placement beneath the Suspend options make sense. Sort of.
Man, what a numbskull! Sorry to waste people's time.

Why is the "Move to Library" option unavailable in iMovie 10.0.6?

I would like to move an iMovie 10.0.6 project to my external drive, but the "Move to Library" and "Copy to Library" options are unavailable. I have an older mac with a (most likely) slowish hard drive. Could this have anything to do with it?

2.6 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
4 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM

Normally I do that by drag & drop. But of course be sure that you have two different iMovie libraries e.g. an internal HD drive one and an external one then just select the event/project and drag and drop.
In case Apple reads this WHAT IS A REAL **** in iMovie10.0.6. that ALL events and projects are in one BIG e.g. TB file (in my case 3TB) if I now want to make a simple backup this lasts HOURS JUST BECAUSE OF A NEW SIMPLE ADDED EVENT/PROJECT. IN OLD IMOVIE THE FILE STRUCTURE WAS 1000times BETTER!!!!! SO PLEASE TAKE THIS "FEATURE" OUT OF iMOVIE 10.0.6

Mavericks Partway Through Install, Damaged HD Disk, Old OS Unavailable, Options Unavailable

Attempting to install Mavericks, upon restart it shows a message telling me the HD disk is damaged and can't be repaired. Restart, back up, erase, and restore. Restarting leads automatically to the Mavericks install which continued to fail, after a couple of times through it began showing a small menu of options. The only OS on my computer, the one I had previously been using, is unavailable for restarting it. I attempted to back up my disk onto my external hard drive but it failed a minute in and stopped recognizing the disk. I can no longer access that from any computer. Erasing/repairing the HD disk is not an available option. What can I do to fix this? I need to recover my files, computer, and hard drive.

Did you take a backup before you began? If so what type – is it a bootable backup?
There is very little you can do if you don't have a copy of this data on another disk.
The best option would be to remove the disk & send it to a data recovery specialist. This can be expensive.
You could try recovering the data with disk recovery tools but this is an involved process & will require other disks to recover onto…
Do you have any disks to make a bootable OS installation? You need to boot OS X somehow to repair or recover from the internal disk.
Do you also have an empty HD to recover data onto (larger than the Macbook's HD).
Do you have access to another Mac? It may make it easier to work with the disk.
The trouble is that the disk itself may have failed, so it may be impossible for tools to recover data - if the error is a mechanical fault any attempts to recover may actually do more harm to the disk (which is why professional help is the best option). You must avoid using the disk as much as possible to avoid any potential for more damage. This usually means getting the disk out of the Mac ASAP, so you can put it into an external case and then get the Mac booting from another disk.

What's the difference between video conversion options?

Under the Advanced menu, there's an option for converting videos to "iPod/iPhone" versions and "iPad/AppleTV" versions. What are the differences between the two? Is there a link to any documentation that I may take a look at?

As Vishnu mentioned, conversion programs are for transferring data from the legacy system into the SAP system (and would involve all the data format conversion e.g. material number might be 10 digits in legacy system and would need to be converted to 18 characters before updating in SAP). Hence conversion would normally happen on or just before Go Live to transfer all up-to-date information into SAP. Thereon all transactions would be performed in SAP and no information would/should be required from legacy system, hence conversions end there.
However if some processes (like data calculations or exchange of data) continues with another SAP system or non SAP system, then we use methods of data exchange called interfaces. Hence interfaces are more or less a day to day activity/process whereas conversion more like a one time activity.
LSMW is a popular tool for data conversion (migration from legacy). Interfaces employ services like XI, Idocs etc.

Add Contact/Leave Conversation Group Messaging Feature

Anyone experiencing an issue adding a contact or leaving a conversation using iOS 8.1 on the iPhone 6? My "Add Contact' and "Leave this Conversation" feature are not visible when I view a group message. Any ideas on how to resolve?
